Good welcome, recently refurbished rooms are incredibly comfortable. Slept like a log! Only had a burger for dinner but menu looked good. Great breakfast. Staff lovely

Clean room, great service, lovely location

Staff were helpful in general. Room was clean but very hot as the radiator was not able to be turned off. Breakfast was very nice with lots of selection but had to ask three times for a cup of coffee. Was sent an invoice for our stay after we checked out but due to had already checked out we couldn’t see it….

Good food options for us even though my wife is vegetarian but eats fish, more than 3 nights might mean we repeat our selection, but excellent quality. Room presents nicely, absolutely spotlessly clean. Staff are all friendly. This was our second visit.

Make sure you DO NOT book with them if they have an event on ie Wedding. We stayed two nights in an Executive Room (patio doors lead on to main garden and close proximity to bar and terrace). Music from bar goes on til about 10.30 but the noise from the weddings is horrendous and went on til midnight. Very limited sleep both nights and even if you move rooms you are still going to hear everything due to the layout of the rooms. Usual banging when anyone goes in and out of their hotel rooms. Food and Staff were wonderful but you can get that at a pub - what you want from a HOTEL is a good nights sleep and we most certainly did not get that. Complaint asking for full refund underway.

Great hotel for the price. It is about a mile and half from center of Dorridge. Food was good and it was in a nice country setting.

Great Hotel , terrific standard Was staying on a 2 night business trip . Only gripe restaurant menu , bar menu Bit limited and small portions . You have to order extra veg on the set menu which seemed good value

Hotel is in a beautiful location with lots of free parking on site. The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately we felt like the staff at check-in would rather not be there, we had a brief description on how to reach our room but no other hotel facilities were brought to our attention, we had an unexpected hold charge put on our debit card, although this was refunded straight away when we checked out, We would stay here again.

A wonderful venue and very enjoyable overnight stay whilst on business. Staff were friendly and supportive. A very good standard of accommodation in a lovely location at a good price. Food was also thoroughly enjoyable.

Lovely stay at Hogarths, service was very attentive, food was superb and we enjoyed walking around the grounds. The room was very spacious, newly renovated and comfortable.

Amazing hotel

After being placed in a cottage room which was very close to the facility hosting a wedding party We asked to be moved to a quieter part of the hotel as we were nothing to do with the wedding party. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently with no fuss. From this point onwards we received great service in a great room with excellent breakfasts We will use hotel and specific room for visiting family on future occasions.

Nice room. Front desk staff were great. Hotel is beautiful and the setting is idyllic. Parking was easy and convenient. Great place to stay if they could improve on some things. No coffee maker, only instant coffee. Housekeeping to need improvement. First night towels removed but not replaced. Combo shower tub would not drain when showering. Complained twice with no luck. Final night no tea or instant coffee replacement so we had to run to the front desk for a couple of coffee packets. We refused to pay for a full English breakfast at 20 pounds when all we wanted was coffee and a light breakfast so we would eat out even without our instant coffee. My read was that they cater to the corporate clients who would not question their breakfast prices. They should rethink this policy for the private guests. Overall a nice place with a good team but fix maintenance, house keeping and breakfast options.

Everything was very well kept and everything I look for in a hotel. Only problem was the sleep. 2 single mattresses put together, mattress and quilt were not comfortable. And loud fans all night which I could not turn off. Room 202

Great stay, great place, will stay again

Unfriendly and impersonal reception gave a very poor start to our stay. There was a corporate event underway also, the bar and terrace were heaving so we elected for room service meals. They took 40 minutes and had to be chased up but were delicious when they arrived. No EV charging on site. It wasn't the best stay but I'd probably give it another chance if desperate.

Had an overnight stay with my sister and her dog at Hogarths Hotel. The hotel was easily accessible from the motorway. It was beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful, the dinner and breakfast were very good and the hotel was dog friendly.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. Hogarths manages to provide an intimate atmosphere, although being quite a large hotel. The gardens and grounds looked attractive, even in January.

Our stay was fine, no real complaints but we weren’t particularly blown away either. Our room needed to be hoovered when we first walked in and there were no dressing gowns as listed on the booking. We spoke to reception about both these issues and they were very quick to resolve them. Our patio door didn’t shut properly and was very difficult to manoeuvre. The room was a little tired in places but we had a very comfortable night sleep. The bedlinen and towels all felt very clean. Food was good too. Although dog friendly, it felt more that dogs were tolerated rather than welcomed. Staff were helpful.

On arrival our room had 1 chair rather than a sofa as pictured online. We requested a different room with a sofa which was no issue. 1st night in the room was so cold hats were worn in bed! It turns out the room had been set by the hotel to cold rather than hot with no facility to change in the room. 2nd night there was a party in the room next door. Didn't feel we could knock for fear of retaliation and didn't want to put the staff at risk so put up with it until 1.30am. Not the hotel at fault particularly for this one but bear in mind it's a popular wedding venue so you might not have a quiet night. Breakfast was very good and the staff very polite and friendly. Overall a reasonable stay but not quite worth the money for the room.

Very comfortable one night's stay.

Could find very little to fault with our stay at Hogarths. The staff are all delightful and service is very good. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. Will definitely want go return there.

We were there attending a wedding. We also booked a room to stay over. The hotel and facilities were absolutely fantastic. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Convenient stay for conference centre

Great place to stay, large, well appointed room. Great bar and restaurant with good staff. Only let down was the fire alarm went off at approximately 1am and 3am with no explanation why.

This was my second stay this year (first trip was in June in the new part). At first glance, the room looked good and bigger than my previous stay (this time I was in the room called Winter) and had a lovely sofa and separate armchair, plus dual aspect windows. However, the pleasant feeling quickly disappeared when the Nespresso machine (which is hidden under the TV in a cabinet) hadn't been replenished with new pods. The bowl was empty. I went to look at the in-room tablet, as I had used it the last time I stayed, and it wasnt working. On trying to turn it on I realised the battery was dead despite it sitting on the charging dock. So i tried the charger in a different plug to the left of the desk and it still didnt work, so then i tried a completely different 2-plug socket and it started charging - so the other plug socket obviously is faulty. I sat on the bed and saw the "tell us how we did card" - i went to fill it in and found that it was the one left behind by the previous guests in the room. They had been in the December room but asked to be moved due to an event, however, they still werent happy in Winter based on the feedbakc they left. I gave it to the woman on check out this morning, explaining that it was left by the previous guests but she didnt seem to understand that I wasnt happy and that the room was obviously not turned over properly, so I just left. It was my second stay and I was hoping to see some improvements but it wasn't good...

Lovely hotel. Stayed there for a party.

Could not sleep well because the “named” rooms in the older part of the property creek so much ever time anyone moved, inside or outside of the room - people going to or from their rooms woke me up.

Room was cute and warm with a comfortable bed. Bathroom spotless. Breakfast good. Lovely looking grounds but poured with rain!

This hotel was a real surprise on the outside it looks nothing special and tired but our room was AMAZING, friendly young staff and excellent food we will definitely go back! Well done!

A great quiet hotel

Bang average, stayed in better Premier Inns. My chalet smelt of sewage, was cold and lots of flying insects! Food was decent, £20 for a wagu burger but service wasnt the best.

Nice property off the beaten path

I chose Hogarths as I expected it to be quiet and to be able to sleep before a conference at the NEC. Unfortunately my room 103 was by Reception and I could hear the staff and bar perfectly from my room- on the second night this meant that u could hear conversations happening in the bar at 12:30am from my bed. The rooms and doors clearly aren’t sound proofed. I could also hear room 101 on FaceTime until the early hours through the interconnecting door. Service was slow at breakfast & the food didn’t match the price tag. If you’re used to quality hotels in London I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I fed back the noise complaints via email during the night and in person to two members of staff at checkout and was met with a response that no one had ever complained about noise, the rooms are checked for sound proofing and a general manager would be in touch. I requested a refund and this was not provided. Room 103 was not fit for purpose. Avoid.

The Hotel was great, but the Restaurant wasn't very good.

My second stay at Hogarth’s was less enjoyable than my first. Staff seem generally unhappy and not as welcoming as previous visit. Restaurant service was slow and on occasion I had to give up waiting. I will try again as it’s a good location with a calm ambience and I suspect I caught the staff on a bad day

Nice rooms, a little on the small side. Some staff members rude on reception. Breakfast service slow to refill buffet items.

The property is smart looking internally, but i chose an upgraded room and my ground floor view was of the car park, laundry carts and a stair way that is being worked on. The rooms are a little noicy but i have experienced worse.

Nice independent hotel located 15 mins from NEC. Stayed during exhibition visit. Room was in the stable block which does not look like much on the outside but the room was very comfortable with all the amenities, if a little on the bijou side. AC etc all provided. Desk is more geared as dressing rather than for work. Restaurant food was excellent and the breakfast was cooked to order and excellent. Overall would stay here again if visiting the area. Good value.

Hotel & staff lovely But an hour before check in we got an email saying they were doing some work so may be noisy. Arrived had lunch then checked in, the drilling sounded like it was coming into our room and after a long flight for a family funeral what was planned to be a relaxing afternoon was anything but. The following morning the noise started again at 830 then stopped 845 started again at 930. Had we known when we booked about the works or even before the day we would have chosen another hotel

We have stayed many times at Hogarths and each time have been welcomed by very friendly staff. Food is excellent.

We had a wonderful one night stay. We stayed in a family room as we had our 7yr old grandson with us. On arrival the reception staff were lovely and we were very impressed with our room. The sofa bed was plenty big enough and very comfortable for our grandson. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food was amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a peaceful night's sleep and a delicious breakfast before checking out. All in all a lovely hotel which we would definitely return to.

Had an amazing few nights in this lovely hotel. Our suite was unbelievable. It was huge, spotlessly clean beautifully furnished and exceeded all expectations. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were all really professional and friendl. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order

Honestly, i stay at this place wgenever I can for work as it is just a wonderful place. Food, rooms, staff, cleanliness are all as close to perfect as one can get.

This is not our first stay at Hogarths Solihull. The staff cannot do enough for the guests, the whole hotel including the extensive grounds are spotlessly clean & well tended. The public areas are bright, airy & charming & for a hotel it really does have a welcoming & homely feel. The dining options are plentiful, well cooked & totally delicious. I have one negative comment & it’s not a major one but the room decor could do with a refresh, the rooms are spotless, cleaned daily & anything that you need to be replenished can either be obtained from housekeeping or via reception. I wasn’t expecting to have a huge chip out of the washbasin in the en suite room as the rest of the hotel is maintained meticulously & who knows maybe the chip had only occurred the day before we arrived. Overall a strong 9/10 for us. The 10/10 I would happily give if the chip in the bathroom was rectified & the bedrooms were given a lick of paint.

Pleasant comfortable room , good service , good food beautiful grounds. Only drawback the rooms got quite warm middle of night instead of AirCon , and I was not the only only as noticed many doors open in the morning to let fresh air in.

Overnight stay with my daughter before flying from Birmingham early the next morning. Had dinner and cocktails which was fab! Staff were super friendly and efficient. Taxi booked for us the next morning which was equally great! Thoroughly recommend 👍

Everything went great. I was there for a wedding. Good choice of variations for wedding. Staff were very helpful. Nice luxurious clean room. Lager could have been better but other than that, I would throughly recommend it. Breakfast was amazing

A great hotel with great service. However a couple of points. A large glass of wine at £18 is somewhat excessive, but my biggest issue is there are no plugs by the bed, which is rather inconvenient if you want charge a laptop/iPad/phone etc whilst working or watching a film. Amazing for a modern hotel.

We were somewhat disappointed to find that the Brasserie stopped serving at 9pm on a Saturday night. Having travelled all day and arrived at 8.30, this was not what we expected from the hotel.

Not great sleep. Bed very soft and room overlooked by diners below and other rooms, had to keep curtains pulled. Also Room 201 was above the lift which was still being used into the early hours. Not good sleep. We were there with other family for a funeral wake of a family member and stayed over.

Lovely hotel, well located for a trip to Brum and its surrounds. Good food, friendly staff and comfortable rooms - as well as the chance of spotting deer, what’s not to like!

Air con not working in the room. We were offered another room but it didn’t work in that room either. Bed very uncomfortable

We enjoyed our stay so much. The garden was lovely, room in good condition. The staffs were friendly overall, Ella from the restaurant was the best (sweet and attentive).

We only stayed one as we visited the NEC which is nearby, we loved everything at Hogarths, property, staff all pleasant, food great, room comfy, easy parking. Certainly will return.

Characterful hotel with lovely grounds. Ideal for a visit to the NEC and relaxation afterward. Or before!

No security, arrived at 02:20 spent 2 hours phoning during journey no answer. Spent 20 mins walking through many areas shouting anyone there no answer. Could have done untold damage this could have seriously endanger all occupants! Eventually found 5 staff in a room .. they say off duty! Well fab location fab facilities but sadly you will be taking a hell of a chance with your life and belongings with this level of ineptitude. It’s really Up to you but you have been warned.

Comfortable and I had a good sleep in a lovely bed which is the main thing. A few niggles though. Menus ordinary, and hot food at lunch was served on a cold plate. Room was extremely hot on entry, and bathroom was stone cold in the morning as I didn't realise the heater switch was among the light switches in the bedroom. Didn't like the wardrobe clothes hangers being attached to the unit (implies I'm in a den of thieves!). Shower screen not secured to the bath side so water went all over the floor (I would expect cleaning staff to pick this up and maintenance to fix it before next guest arrives)
