The pool wasn’t very clean. The water was cloudy and there was debris. There was an additional charge for parking.

Easy access to Birmingham by train.

The staff were very helpful.

Bearing in mind this hotel is not right in the centre of town, l was astonished to have to pay to park there.

It’s my 3rd stay and I’ve returned as the hotel is perfect for what we need. I think the staff are wonderful and all need to be commended as EVERYONE are so friendly & kind. You can’t take service for granted, so well done.

Booked room guy on recipient couldn’t find my booking was useless in trying to resolved had to pay £180’for new room extra £65 what I was paying and now having to try sort refund. Guy on recipient needs retraining

Most things were as they should be, only that I was in a room located nor far from the lifts, and I could hear the lift going up and down in the evening, up until people went to bed and stopped using it. This took until around 1am, which means every time I was about to fall asleep, the lift woke me up. Doors slamming in different rooms were loud too.

The breakfast is always excellent.

I had asked in advance for a front facing room with a full window, but got one facing away with a roof window.

Staff were very helpful and had a fan put in our room when I requested one. Everyone was very friendly. The breakfast was a notch above what is usually offered in hotels. The bed was comfortable and I got decent sleep which is rare for me when not at home.

I had an accessible room. The bathtub was difficult for me to get in and out when showering. I felt there could have been more grab bars in the bathroom and a shower would have been more accessible than a tub.

Car parking charges (would have rather had the price absorbed into the room price). Swimming pool only allowed children till 6 which we didn’t know so only had 10 minutes in there. Swimming pool a bit dated for such a nice hotel.

Spacious and comfortable with plentiful parking (not free). Staff were pleasant and room was a good standard. Good location for modern shopping centre, nice pedestrianised town centre and eating establishments.

Parking for paying guests @£12.50 per night seems extreme. Staff were busy and pleasant but overstretched at the bar and at breakfast. The patio area on a sunny Sunday morning after a busy Saturday night was left uncleared and unusable, again pointing to lack of staffing numbers. It was busy as there was a wedding at the venue, but it shouldn't affect other guests.

The room was big and comfortable with all the amenties you need. The bed was really comfortable and the room kept spotlessly clean. The food at the restaurant was also very good. The hotel is in a really good location for the town centre and has a nice airy lobby/bar/restaurant area - great for meeting up if travelling in a larger group.

I was disappointed when we checked in to find that the two rooms I'd booked were both doubles, despite communication confirming my request for one to be a twin. We were able to arrange a roll-in bed to be set up, but I felt it was a bit of unnecessary inconvenience. Also, during the stay the card terminals at the bar went down one evening & there was a surly member of staff on the front desk who summoned us to pay there on a card linked to the room booking; which was not what I wanted. I also felt very sorry for the bar staff as this seemed to be a regular occurence.

The location was ideal for what I needed and the overall look of the reception, grounds, rooms etc was really nice. I liked the dedicated work spaces and the bar and restaurant staff were absolutely lovely and really take pride in their jobs. everything was clean, hygienic and accessible. Overall the potential for a really special hotel!

There's no private changing rooms / cubicles for the pool which left my teenage daughter feeling very uncomfortable. My husband wanted to take our youngest swimming without me and with no private cubicles he had to have her change in the mens toilets to protect her eyes from naked men. Not good. Pool area needs a cosmetic upgrade - very dated but is really good use of the space... but changing facilities are just not adequate or what I would call child appropriate. This is a major issue for myself and there were others in the changing areas who felt the same and disappointed at the time too. I booked this hotel for the pool and if I had known this was the case I would NOT have booked it. No pool is better than exposing my children to others private parts! Gym/pool staff weren't very friendly, approachable or helpful. Felt like I walked into a room where I was not welcome and I had inconvenienced them asking where to go. Very loud through the night; woke multiple times to doors slamming and banging. Strange for a Sunday night. Food was not great but was okay value for money.

Stayed a few times now, up from Hertfordshire to visit family, the staff are excellent ,the food is very good and reasonable . The spa ,swimming pool is lovely. I would highly recommend this Hotel and look forward to going back asap.

The staff were attentive, the room was spacious for a family room and clean. It was close to nearby restaurants and only 30 minutes from Cadburys World.

We asked for a twin room we arrived to a double bed they put a sofa bed in the room that was only big enough for a child and the mattress was disgusting it had a huge lump in the middle. The manager said there was nothing they could do . My colleague left and got accommodation in a nearby hotel.

The hotel is well situated close to the town centre and parking is plentiful but not free, which was disappointing, I would have expected as a guest that parking would be included. The space is well presented and staff were very helpful. My room was great, nothing spectacular but it had everything I needed, so that was good news. Although I have to say the bed was super comfortable.

One lift working in reception was a real issue, especially when busy and it was super busy whilst I was there. The bar prices were....pricey! more so than I anticipated. Main issue was the parking, I genuinely felt aggrieved that it was an additional cost.

The location was great.l specially next to the touchwood mall. Convenient parking. We stayed at four different hotels during our recent trip to the UK but found the reception staff a bit cold compared to other four and five stars we stayed at. The staff at breakfast were warm and friendly at least most of them.
