We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Chunda Palace Udaipur. The hotel has a beautiful royal ambience, and the overall experience was truly special. From the stunning architecture and traditional Rajasthani feel to the hospitality and service, everything was excellent. The entire staff was extremely courteous, polite, helpful, and welcoming. Their attention to detail and warm behaviour made us feel genuinely comfortable throughout our stay. A special appreciation to the entire Chunda Palace team for their outstanding hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant and memorable. Everyone was always ready to help with a smile and made us feel like honoured guests. The royal atmosphere of the palace, combined with the excellent service, gives you a truly authentic Udaipur experience. It is a beautiful place to stay if you want to experience the charm, culture, and hospitality of Rajasthan. Thank you to the entire team at Chunda Palace Udaipur for making our stay so wonderful. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lovely location
Good staff, Mr Chunni Lal an old timer in the restaurant was an extremely sweet person, gives a warm feel
This should be the top priority for anyone visiting Udaipur. It’s way above what they are showing in their pictures. The hospitality is something that is unmatchable here. They will make sure that you feel special. And the rooms are crazy. Nothing is near to it even in Jaipur.
It’s very tough to answer. Because I like everything. They even have 2pools. Like indoor and outdoor for all times
Oppulentes Hotel - Einzigartige Stimmung
…
Very very pretty, at a pretty good spot, the views from the rooftop were great and the hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was beautiful and the design is breathtaking. The breakfast and in-hotel restaurant was good enough.
Main issue I had was the water pressure in the shower, the head shower basically didn’t work. They did offer to switch out the rooms but we were already settled in and this is the kind of thing that should grt taken care of before the guests arrive. Also the doorbell didn’t work, which, again, feels like something that should be fixed before the room is made available to the guests.
The property itself is a beautiful heritage property. Very comfortable rooms. The staff is the best thing about a stay at the hotel. They are all very professional and accommodating . I reckon the restaurant has one of the best views in the area.
The staff, the location, the beautiful accommodation.
The location is excellent, and the breakfast, candlelight dinner, and hospitality were outstanding. One of the best highlights was the Rajasthani live music, which added a beautiful royal touch to our experience—whether during our entry into the palace, breakfast, or dinner. It made the stay feel truly special and memorable. The cleanliness and housekeeping were also excellent and very well managed by Floor Manager Mahesh and Supervisor Chaman. Their attention to detail and hospitality were greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and for giving us and our baby such a wonderful experience. We will definitely cherish these memories! ❤️
Premium Property with decent breakfast and Hi Tea. Very good room, royal imperial suits.
I had a memorable stay at Chunda Palace in the Royal Imperial Suite, which was absolutely massive. The interiors were mesmerising, with beautiful traditional details that made the room feel truly special. I enjoyed the suite so much that spending time in the room became one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were consistently courteous, welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is wonderful to explore, with the atmosphere and character of a genuine palace. Its location was perfect for me—far enough from the hustle and bustle to feel peaceful, yet close enough to make travelling to Udaipur’s main sightseeing attractions convenient. The pool looked beautiful, although unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to use it. The rooftop restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious, and the views were absolutely breathtaking, particularly with Udaipur spread out below. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The spectacular suite, remarkable interiors, excellent rooftop restaurant, courteous staff and convenient location made Chunda Palace a distinctive and unforgettable Udaipur experience.
Breakfast, however, was only average; although there were options available, the overall taste and quality could be improved. There were a few practical issues in the suite. The marble bath area occasionally felt slippery and would benefit from a non-slip mat. The air conditioning also lacked precise temperature control, so the room tended to feel either too warm or too cold. The traditional doors and authentic lock-and-key system were undeniably beautiful and added to the palace experience, but manually securing the bolts and pushing the heavy doors could become cumbersome. A discreet digital-key option would make access considerably easier without compromising the hotel’s heritage charm.

Excellent location with beautiful view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the palace. The staff was exceptionally courteous, and the service was outstanding. Waking up to breathtaking scenic views and a delicious breakfast made every morning special. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cozy, making us feel right at home.
There was nothing in particular that stood out as a concern. The overall experience was excellent, and we were very satisfied with our stay.
Special thanks to Chunni Lal at the breakfast and the girl (from Calcutta) at dinner.
Everything was awesome
Everything
Very good royal feel ..rooms excellent..high ceiling and very intricately decorated.
The rooms did not have a good view at all..we were facing the parking lot which was more of a dumping ground. May be the option should be available to book room with a good view
Nice rooms, nice breakfast, quiet location (but thus a bit far from the centre). Always happy to be there.
Heritage property, may not appeal to people who want modern hotels like Fairmont or Leela.
Front office staff; reception desk
All the staff members of the Chunda Palace.
Amazing location. Nearby to all tourist places and property resonates like an actual palace. They even upgraded our room to suite
Electricity kept on going throughout the day which is annoying even though power is restored in a couple of minutes. Room service is little slow
Staff were extremely courteous.
Its actually not a palace. Modern building made to look like a palace
Impressive architecture and deco!!! Awesome indoor pool…
Staff was real kind and warm, food during rooftop dinner was also great.
That there were no pool tables, table tennis, etc, that would’ve made the stay so much better.
The Decorations on wall is Excellent the Rooms are highly Decorated. Even actual city palace does not have that much . The furniture is too Good and the indoor Swimming pool is also Nice . The food is also Good
Everything is Excellent
Staff and service! Property was great
Food quality
The breakfast was good. I had a funny monkey as a visitor. The people at the reception were very nice, they helped us with transportation from the airport to the hotel. I really enjoyed the dinner on the roof, the atmosphere at nightfall, the traditional live music. The hotel as a whole is a museum piece, a picture of Indian culture. Udaipur is an extraordinary city. I really enjoyed my stay in this place.
The bathrooms need some improvements.
Ambience and staff
Parking and the entrance and Gym
Staff is really nice and rooftop view is really great..candle light dinner with city palace and taj palace is awesome
Laundry services are quite expensive.
Great helpful service, pleasant staff. Common amenities are well maintained. Great sunset views. Hearty breakfast!
Slightly rough around the edges. Rooms showing age.
Utterly spectacular hotel - we have travelled the world extensively and this has to be the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)! The Reception staff treated us like we were their VIPs and made every effort to make our stay memorable including a free upgrade and a complimentary room whilst we waited for our flight - The paintings, furnishings, scale, swimming pools, service, breakfast offer are all stunning. Location great with rooftop restaurants in walking distance; Tuk Tuks wait nearby too. We couldn’t believe our luck and best of all the price was reasonable … if you visit Udaipur this hotel will blow you away
All amazing - we felt very special - Thank you very much for such incredible customer service
the staff were fantastic, especially the manager and the food hall manager
The hotel feels very tired and poorly maintained. The rooms were disappointing and absolutely not worth the price. Wherever you looked in the hotel, there was something wrong — either unsafe or in need of repair. The food was average at best and overpriced. Over the course of three days, we were moved between six different rooms, which was extremely frustrating. The outdoor swimming pool was unusable, as pigeons regularly bathed in it and left droppings, using the waterfall as a washing area.
Very comfortable hotel. Very nice outside dining area and great food
Palatial feel. Really good n caring staff
If there were small balconies in the room to sit out and enjoy the natural surrounding.
Kamers waren zeer bijzonder.
Topkoffie.
Large and beautiful room with comfortable bed ! I would highly recommend it!
The room is not very well isolated and there was sometimes a lot of noise in the corridor but that’s a detail
Artefact
Cleaning was bad, small TV, limescale all over the bathroom, staff seemed disengaged, no shower gel!
Dinner was very good with wonderful views from the rooftop. The pool was really good.
nothing
Delicious breakfast with a fantastic view
It is such great value and was luxurious with an indoor and outdoor pool
Whole property
This is a very beautiful and art decorated hotel. Dare I say it is more beautiful than the city palace. It has beautiful views from the restaurant and pool area We didnt get to use the the pool or gym, tbut tge water in both indoor and outdoor pool are tempurature controlled.
The toilet had a bad smell. Our room electricity kept going off, as the card control for the room wasnt working perfectly
Excellent homage to the great palaces, with intricate artwork decorating every wall. Staff were courteous, attentive and reactionary to feedback. The gym was such a great space to work out in too!
Zero complaints.
Everything
Nothing everything was perfect
Polite staff. Beautiful rooms. Great amenities. Comfortable stay. However,The staff needs training in attending guests during breakfast. Tables in the back are never set and need multiple reminders for set up and food order.
Absolutely beautiful, unlike anywhere I have stayed before! Staff were amazing!
Everything was amazing, only complaint is that the room is quite chilly
Hospitality, service, cleanliness, roof top restaurant options, dinner with a view.
Pools were not maintained well specially the indoor pool, noise of construction during daytime.
Feeling like a Maharaja. Wonderful place with stuning decoration. Nice pool; roof top restaurant. Try breakfast outside. Opside is a nice shop selling fantastic textiles.
Merci 🙏
Rien
Location is good - easy accessibility to local transport (cab/autos). Rooms are big and clean - beds can be more comfortable. However, outside view from rooms is a disappointment - you ether see the parking lot or trees! Pichola lake is only visible from the restaurant floor or terrace.
Rooms lack view and sunlight - Hotel corridors also don't have ample natural light.
A beautiful property in a great location, complemented by polite and efficient staff. The service exceeded expectations, and the food was delicious. We truly appreciate the efforts of the floor supervisor and the whole team in making our stay so comfortable.
Nothing to say as such
Amazing food. Very good location. Well decorated rooms. Extremely courteous staff. Amazing view from the terrace
Beds and mattresses were not comfortable (2 queen beds joined to make 1 king bed). Upkeep or maintenance of property could be improved
We had a lovely stay with our family in December. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was great and the property is stunning. The rooftop dinner was so scenic however the food could have been better! Overall a wonderful stay!
The food was cold and not flavorful.
Massive room felt like a palace. Food was excellent. One night stay was comfortable. Picholi lake was beautiful.
Location Ambience
Old furniture Especially beds which make noise when you sleep and even if move a bit
Their staff was amazing. Chuni laal ji was icing in the cake as a breakfast attendant. Their chefs made all specialty items we requested and food was to die for throughout the stay. Dinner staff was fantastic as well. Their servers were on spot. Room services and house keeping was amazing as well
No garden or much public spaces
The location is good and scenic.
The bed in the room is very uncomfortable. Also the bathroom fittings are very old and don't work properly.
