Property was nice.
We had a nanny which was going to look after our kids for 2 hours and she was denied access to the hotel. The room was cleaned twice in one week. Tried to call the reception numerous times, they never answer the phone. To use the safe deposit box you need to pay extra for that.
My friend and I with 4 children have just returned from a stay at Pirates village and all I can say is wow! We had such an amazing time. From start to finish all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them. The location is great, a short walk to a beautiful beach and the hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The one thing that made the holiday was the entertainment team! The pirates are out entertaining the kids during the day with pool activities and water fights and everyone is amazing with the children. The evening entertainment blew us all away especially Hermes with his acrobatic performance. I don’t usually like to go back to the same place twice but we can’t wait to book to come back next year!
We love pirate village. This year, it has certainly uplevelled. Having been for the past three years, this year the pools were better, all the animation events were better and the rooms were better. The pirates are absolutely amazing, so talented and put on amazing shows. Everything was safer. Staff remembered our children and they had an amazing time. We even got a free pass to the western water park and transfer for booking directly. Our family loves this place and will definitely be back.
Los espacios comunes.. las piscinas. La decoracion. Los espectaculos...
La habitacion necesita mejoras... muy anticuado. Colchones y almuhadas muy malas
The pool was great and the service was exceptional. The location was also great it was next to shopping, food, and the beach.
The pool closed too early other than that it was great
Having just returned from a week here I thought I would write my honest review. we stayed for 1 week Self catering 2 asults and a 5 and 6 year old. Apartments the apartment was quite dated and not really set up for self catering, there was the bare minimum when it came to plates, cutlery and glasses and the microwave was really dirty but as we didnt plan on cooking it really didnt matter to us. The Sofa bed was broken but the bed in the bedroom is massive so the 4 of us slept in there absolutly fine and the guy on reception sent someone up to fix it the next day. The cleaning in the aprtments wasnt great either but we had an amazing view of the stage from our apartment and none of this would stop us staying again Sun beds There are plenty of sunbeds but not enough umbrellas although these can be purchased across the road for about £10. People seemed to be reserving umbrellas at about 7.30am using pool rings and then when the sunbeds were unlocked around 9.30am going back down with towels. If you are not bothered about a sunbed right next to the pool you will still be able to get them much later though. We spend most of our time in the pool so just put towels in a pile some days. Pools The pools are great but the thing to highlight in this section is the lifeguards, they are amaxing and dont miss anything. i saw them jump out of their seats veryt quickly just if a small child went near to the edge so they could get there quicker if needed. I have nevr experienced such good lifeguards on holiday and as I have 2 children who are not at all water confident it made me feel much better. My Son cut his head on day 1 and they were brilliant with him when cleaning it up also. Entertainment Amazing is all I can say really, they really take on their roles and the some of the 'naughty' pirates are quite scary but all 4 of us really enjoyed all the shows that we saw. The entertainment team really get involved with everything and are really good with the kids. In the evening they put small chairs along the front of the stage for all the children and then the sdults can sit behind. I understand you have to pay for the front tables but cant confirm that as we just sat where there was space or watched the shows from our balcony. At the end of the shows the kids are invited up to have photos taken which was really nice. The Pirate attack on Sunday is amazing alough very very crazy. make sure any smaller kids know where to meet you after it as there are just kids everywhere! The only real downside to this hotel for us which wouldnt stop us staying again is that there is nowhere to get changed/showered if you have a late flight home. We asked to keep out room which wasnt possible due to it being full. no problem so I asked if there was anywhere to change/Shower as collection to the airport wasnt until 7pm. I was advised there was a shower behind the tower where the slides are. This room had a shower in it and 2 toilets but there was no doors on the shower and the toilet doors didnt lock. The floor was also soaked as it is a toilet used by everyone at the pool and nowhere to put a bag down. Like I said this wouldnt stop me booking again but I would get an early flight
Todo muy bien y muy antendido, nos chocó un poco el horario de la cena y que cerraran tan pronto la piscina a las 18:00h , lo demás todo muy bien.
Exceeded all expectations. We stayed in room 147. Just above the veranda over the bar. The room was modern, bed big and comfortable, bathroom/shower new and clean. Great size for two adults and two kids. I want to mention early that the air-conditioning was superb in the apartment it really was a life saver. The rest of the hotel is very very warm. The pools were fantastic, shallow one with sides, and then 3 other pools all ranging in depths. All very clean, sunbeds stacked and pool area cleaned each evening. Pools all fenced off after closing each evening too which was great comfort when the kids were playing later on. The food was fantastic for adults, we didn't find it hard to get something we liked. The menu changed each day and there was plenty of choice. The pizza was very good and cooked fresh. Pancakes, eggs and proper bacon all available for breakfast when ordered with the chef. The evening shows were excellent quality but I would say a bit adult and a bit scary for younger kids. Excellent shows though. The staff were very nice but some of the rules they have to enforce meant they got some backlash creating tension in the evenings. The kids club was brilliant, lots of fun activities, sign in/sign out system, foam parties, chasing pirates, bouncy castle, gaming PCs with roblox on. Staff were extremely nice and fantastic with the kids. The drinks at the bar were good for adults. Not everything is inclusive but that's always the case in mainland Europe. Mexico, Jamaica and those places do all inclusive much better. Overall I feel we had a 4 out of 5 experience and only some of the rules I will mention below that didn't make it the full 5. I would recommend this hotel for anyone with kids up to the age of 10t the max. We met some lovely people and there was no drama at all from what we seen. I would come back with no hesitation.
So the rules are true. For the evening meal and night entertainment the two closest rows are €40 per table of 4 for the front row and €30 a table for the second row. We paid on the last night because the grandparents joined us. We got one bottle of wine included with the table. We noticed other people getting drinks, pizzas and food brought to them but we never got table service. They were also awkward about us having a 5th normal chair for my 5 year old to eat... they expected him to sit on a kids chair at a full height table (there's are the stupid rules that spoil it). One evening i wheeled my two year old into a free space in a push chair at the side of the tables.. they would not let me or my partner sit in a chair next to her. They wanted us to kneel down for 1 hour and 30 minutes or leave her in the chair and sit 5 meters back. Bare in mind there was no one behind us and lots of space. The food for kids was hit and miss. Not always chicken nuggets available just to cover the gap for kids like my 5 year old who doesn't have a great variety in his pallet. The chips were good though and the pizza. The ice-cream situation. Free ice cream with lunch and dinner. €4 for a magnum outside of those hours. Again this is something I have seen in mainland Europe before. Fresh popcorn available for a few euro should just be included. It was mostly silly rules that took a little edge off a fantastic experience.
Superb Pirate themed hotel. We were on a 7 day all inclusive stay at Pirates Village and had a superb time. Special shout out to Beverly Customer Services and Alex working in the bar, both helped to make our stay a great experience. Food was great and the grandchildren were well entertained throughout the stay. It was our third stay and we will definitely be returning. Security on the front entrance to stop children leaving was especially good. Lifeguards were the best we have seen, very much on their game. Highly recommended family hotel.
We went all together as a family I have a 5 ,8 and 11 year old. Now when it come to the pools and outside bit of the hotel I would 100% recommend , especially for kids it’s super safe and I’m assured they can just go round the pools without any troubles. The only thing not so good about it is it’s not that big which again is good for younger kids but not really for your older kids. The hotel bit is alright not given much privacy though in the bathroom and the shower and drainage is not verry good, which causes the shower to sometimes leak. Next the food, we bought all inclusive it is very convenient just to go get food than going out to get a meal or bringing your own but unfortunately the food isn’t great it’s always the same whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner and the taste isn’t very nice either. Finally the shows that come on in the night I would say that they’re one of the best bit’s the artists are talented and is very good to watch. Overall I would mainly say it’s okay and most definitely good if you have younger kids.
The pool area is wonderful for kids and the staff are excellent. The entertainment team was second to none I have experienced before.
The Good was band to the point I could not eat It and got a 36 hour stomach flu and the all inclusive drinks were not good.
This is a very good family hotel. So much fun for the kids. We have a 4 and 1 year old and they both had a great time. There was always something to do for them, it felt safe and the staff were brilliant. We also enjoyed it too. For a 3 star the food was actually really good. Yes it was the usual pizza, chips, burgers etc but we never struggled to find something and the location of the hotel is good so we did go out for dinner a few times too to mix it up a little. The only thing that let the hotel down was the rooms. I know it’s only a 3 star so my expectations weren’t high but the room never got cleaned properly while we were there. The shower, toilet, sinks and floor were never cleaned. The cleaners came in and gave fresh towels and made the beds but that’s all. When you’re a family of 4 with small children who are using the shower, toilet and sink everyday as well as having snacks in the room etc. the room does need a proper clean. By the last few days I didn’t enjoy being in the room as it felt dirty. I actually went to the shop and bought a cloth and some cleaning supplies to wipe down the sinks and sides myself. Also the bathrooms in the room are very small and very exposed. There’s no privacy whatsoever and the sinks are on the outside. Fine if you’re with immediate family but not ideal. Sometimes that peaceful shower you get of an evening is the only 5 minutes to yourself but the room is so small with the toilet right next to it, it just wasn’t an enjoyable shower experience at all. The bathrooms could do with being bigger and at least one thorough clean during the week. Apart from that we had a great time! And would come back if there were room options with a proper bathroom!

The evening reception staff was very rude and unprofessional. The breakfast and dinner buffet were very limited, with very few choices. The room doors are made of aluminum with a glass panel, which lets the morning sunlight into the room and makes it difficult to sleep. The elevator was often out of service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Pros. Fantastic holidays for children with plenty of entertainment. The evening shows are very proffessional. Lovely clean rooms all look onto pool. All the staff are very meticulous and friendly. Cons There are not enough umbrellas for area but plenty of sunbeds and the beds are not available until 10am. Pool is open 10.30.. not enough lifts. Overall very good resort.
Amazing! Probably one of our favourite family holidays so far. The most perfect place to stay with small children. The room was perfect for us- large main bed and bunk beds for kids with cool LED lighting which my kids loved. Aircon was excellent. Didn’t use the fridge or TV, or the safe so couldn’t comment. The pools were lovely, lots to choose from and heated. The lifeguards were excellent. The most attentive lifeguards I’ve ever seen especially in the pirates takeover on the Sunday when the pool was packed. The lifeguard was constantly scanning every person in the pool and didn’t take his eyes off the pool for a second. The fact there is fencing round the pool when it is closed gives good peace of mind. The entertainment staff were what made it such an excellent holiday for us. The kindest and most talented group of people. I’ve never seen people so passionate about their jobs. There’s one pirate in particular who definitely needs a pay rise, never seen anyone so multi talented and so good with children! My kids loved the kids club and the evening entertainment was incredible. We wouldn’t normally stay for evening entertainment but it was amazing! Food was perfect for us and we all ate well. My only negative was on our last morning we were due to be picked up at 10 past 8. Breakfast starts at 8. We went into the restaurant at about 5 to 8 and despite all the food all being laid out we were turned away quite rudely by someone sweeping the floor in the restaurant. I only wanted to grab a couple of croissants for my kids to eat at the bus stop and it was all laid out already, I could see it and having been up early most mornings of our stay I knew the breakfast was out early in the mornings. We were literally a few minutes early and the inflexibility made it a bit of a stressful last morning as the lady was quite rude and wouldn’t even let my kids sit at one of the many empty tables in the restaurant because there was a few minutes to go! Aside from that one unpleasant encounter all the other staff we met were wonderful. Special mentions to Alex at the bar, the kids club ladies who also did the mermaid lessons, our favourite pirate mentioned above who also joined the mermaid lessons! The fabulous entertainment staff and of course Beverley! Thanks for a lovely holiday! We are already planning our return I don’t think my kids will ever want to stay anywhere else after a week of entertainment here!
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the food was ok, the Snack bar menu is good food was tasty from that menu, but you could only order nuggets and chips or Pizza and chips after 5pm. We felt we couldn't eat dinner in the hotel. You can of course pay for all inclusive for the night but we tried it and it was ok. Drinks for when you do this finish at 9pm. The entertainment and amenities in the hotel are what brings families back here. The shows in the evening are the best ive ever seen. Absolutely incredible. Such highly trained artists. The rooms are ok, bedroom is a good size but the living area/ kitchen area is small. The air-conditioning is great. We had a leak in our room 2 nights before we left. We were the 3rd floor. Seemed to be coming from the roof down into the wardrobe. They offered us a new room but it was more hassle than it was worth. Beverly gave us a breakfast voucher and we stayed out of the room for the day so they could repair it. The pools all have life guards, its so safe. It's very clean, The food just let's it down. Overall the hotel is in a great location. Supermarket less than 3 minute walk, you can get a cooked chicken, chicken drumsticks just as you walk in the door. They do everything. Chemist, tobacco shop, all within 3 minute walk. Some lovely resteraunts within 6/7 minute walk, lora lora, fat Sam's, pandrinis, the beach is walking distance too. Crazy golf on the left on the way to fat sams too. Kids loved that as well. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
Amazing hotel for kids! We took our 4 year old and 9 year old and they had the best time. Pools were immaculate, all heated. Artificial grass all round the pools make it safe for kids and no slipping. The air con in the room was perfect and kept the room cool all day and night. The evening entertainment was way better than any other I’ve seen. My 4 year old was able to watch the entertainment from our room and she loved it. The entertainment staff are very talented and get the kids involved. Our room was cleaned 6/7 days with fresh towels. Location was perfect, shops and bars a few minutes away, the beach too. No complaints at all other than the room could do with some updating.
Stayed with my son and three kids aged 9/7/3. We all had a brilliant time . The hotel has 4 pools of varying depth plus a very shallow pool for toddlers also great water slides for older kids . Non stop entertainment for the kids during the stay water fights mermaid lessons volley ball etc . The evening shows were also great the pirates were brilliant . We were self catering had a lot of food in the hotel which was very good. Lovely staff all round. The perfect hotel for kids. Plenty of shops and restaurants a short walk away as well as the beach.
We are just back from a great stay in Pirates Village (self catering). The evening entertainment in Pirates Village is out of this world which had my children front and Centre every evening. I love how they provide small chairs for the children to sit. The pools are amazing , in total 5 which each a different depth to suit all children, every pool is manned with very attentive lifeguards, which are so professional. The artificial grass around the pool is a god send with no child slipping or falling and no parent or guardian having to be instructing their child to be careful , stop running etc. The atmosphere at the pool is chilled and relaxed. The parasols are limited which I understand from the hotel as it limits the walking space around the pool. Pool times can seem restrictive at 10.30 to 6.30 (on the dot) but can understand the maintenance required, the pools are kept immaculate , no lose tiles , all water features working etc. Apartments are clean, comfortable, AC was 10/10. Cleaning was done 3 out of 6 days for us, but enough clean towels provided for each day we were there so no complaints. Staff at reception very kind and helpful. Security on the front door very polite and always had a good morning & good night. Evening staff busy so pleasantries few and far between which is understandable. My only criticism of the hotel is what I can see petty charges, remote control 10e charge - I understand why they charge as they can't be at the constant expense of replacing the remotes , however I think once you check in you should be given a remote and if it is not handed in at check out then a charge should be expected - maybe a better customer experience this way. When you check in you only get one key which we thought was a bit restrictive if one parent is doing an activity and another parent stays by the pool so a 20euro deposit charge required for a second key, if there is two adults checking in I think two keys should be provided. The 40e surcharge for the front tables for the show is a bit of an ask, tables can go unsold and still no one can sit at them all night. We self catered , so I cannot comment on the food but we are glad we self catered and didn't feel we missed out on anything. There is a great supermarket 2 minutes walk from the hotel, turn right once you leave the hotel. Supermarket has an amazing cooked chicken counter and everything you need for a week self catering. Fantastic restaurants in the Centre of Santa Ponsa! -Block House - steak house 7/10 - food is good but meh service -Jackies - Mediterann 10/10 -Italian Restaurant - 2min walk on the left after the pizzeria in the Centre. 10/10 ate there twice -Free Soul - Irish bar food 6/10 , drinks and music 8/10. -Reign - 10/10 Lastly, Airport bus stop 3 min walk once you come out of hotel and turn left (outside Agromarket). 4e per adult, takes approx. 25mins to the Airport, a lot cheaper then private transfers which we were quoted 95e. Reception can print bus times for you. Thank you to all the staff at Pirates Village for a great holiday! :)
Just back from a ten night stay here as an all inclusive guest with a large family party. Gotta say I am a little disappointed. The hotel is a mixed self catering/all inclusive set up and it’s clear to see that hotel is a total cash grab. On arriving at lunch time on the first day, I tried to grab ice creams on the all inclusive to be told that there are no ice creams included, only the ice cream served in the lunch time buffet from 13-00-15:00. Outside of that? 4 euros an ice cream. To add to that, the hotel makes the first two rows of tables at the bar blocked to paying guests only at a cost of 40 euros a table. (All inclusive surcharge clearly isn’t enough) this resulted in most nights not being able to get a seat despite tables lying empty. 2 drinks maximum per guest with tiny cups which is a bit of a joke honestly. Food was alright. Choice is pretty small but for the most part it was tasty enough. Avoid the hash browns at breakfast, they are like hockey pucks. Had an issue with my rooms air con which basically did nothing but recycle the air and not cool it. Having a room with two young children, this was not suitable at all and it took 4 days for the hotel to give me a new room despite two visits by maintenance who told me it was working. The temperature in the room would not go lower than 27 degrees. The very next day a new family moved in so make of that what you will. The pool area is fantastic and the pools are heated. Guests have taken to reserving parasols despite the numerous signs for everything. (There are signs for everything) I had a good time but I believe that to be down the company I was with rather than the hotel or facilities. The real question is, would I visit again? The answer is absolutely not. Suggested changes - add ice cream to all inclusive and get rid of the silly paid tables and 2 drink limit then it could really be a great hotel.
Great fun family hotel, great for my 8 year old son and also fully enjoyed by the parents. Very engaging , fun atmosphere and decoration , loved it. Food was great, entertainment brilliant, staff friendliness very good. Cleanliness very good. Noise level just right. My son enjoyed his pirate themed bed with climbing ropes, he was very excited about that. Pools amazing , used as fun sit relaxation for the adults. Slides and waterfalls very good , all looked really great and decorated to perfection . The hotel is very close to beach , a large amount of shops for gifts, along with bars and restaurants. Okay value for money more than what we wanted to pay but wasn’t bad.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Pirates Village in Santa Ponsa and couldn't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel so welcome. Every single person we came across was friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble. It was also brilliant to see that every member of staff gets involved in making the experience special—even the reception team joined in during the pirate water fights, which the kids absolutely loved! The hotel itself is exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless every day thanks to the wonderful housekeeping team, who work tirelessly and are incredibly attentive. Not only are the rooms cleaned to a very high standard, but the entire hotel is immaculate throughout. The rooms are spacious, the beds are really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made coming back after a day in the sun so relaxing. The entertainment for children is simply unmatched. The entertainment team puts so much effort into every single day, from morning until evening, making sure the children are constantly entertained, laughing, and making unforgettable memories. What impressed us the most was that they never compromise on safety. The kids' club has a secure sign-in and sign-out system, giving parents complete peace of mind while the children enjoy all the amazing activities. We were also lucky enough to be staying here when Spain won the World Cup, and the atmosphere around the hotel was absolutely incredible. The celebrations were unforgettable and made an already amazing holiday even more special. Pirates Village is everything you could want from a family hotel—clean, fun, safe, and full of staff who genuinely care about making your holiday the best it can be. It's easy to see why so many families return year after year, and we will definitely be one of them. We can't wait to come back!
Forget Disney land, this is the happiest place in the world to be a child. We stayed here for 9 nights (self catering) at the end of June and we will be returning next year. Everything was incredible; the staff, the pools, the evening entertainment and the kids club. Special shout out to Gigi and Nadee and the rest of the girls in the kids club who were so caring and ensured the kids had the most fun- filled experience. Faye and TJ loved each and everyone of u. The apartments were spotlessly clean and spacious. The evening entertainment was fantastic for both kids and parents alike. Pirate Takeover on Sunday deserves a special mention, I've never experienced anything like it, it was incredible! The pools and slides were a great hit with the kids and the life guards were always extremely attentive. Staff members were incredibly hardworking here and ensured that everyone was having the time of their lives. Beverly was always on hand and very approachable and conscientious. We can't wait for our holiday next year already ❤️
We stayed in suite 234 for 7 days in July, the total cost of our holiday was around £3,200 for the three of us (2 adults, 1 child). We booked a suite so my 4 year old daughter could sleep in her own room rather than on a sofa bed in our room. We were all inclusive and our room consisted of a very large bed, a sofa, fridge, microwave, kettle, a few cups and glasses, bedside units, wardrobe and a TV. There was also a balcony overlooking the pool with 2 plastic chairs and a plastic table. The other room was small but cute for kids, it had 2 sets of bunk beds and some storage for clothes etc. and a TV. The bathroom was in the corner of our room and consisted of a walk in shower and toilet. Then two sinks (an adult and a kids) outside the bathroom door, in our main room. The aircon was fantastic and kept the whole suite nice and cool all day every day, it was so refreshing entering after being outside in the heat. The kids room had a light dimmer with different coloured light settings which my daughter enjoyed, I thought this was a nice touch. However, the kids room was on the side of the hotel facing the main road and it was VERY noisy 24/7. There was a sliding door to separate our room from hers. When entering the suite it was the kids room we entered into first. The door to the suite didn't seem to close properly (it locked, but there was a gap around the seal of the door, so I had to push a heavy object against the door to hold it tightly closed at night to lessen the sound). The kids room was also very light due to the outside lights outside the door (which we were unable to turn off) so we hung a blanket over the door at night to make the room darker. The fridge in our room would hum noisly all night, and the walls were very thin so we could hear the neighbours word for word although I think they were being particularly loud which didn't help. We found the wardrobe space quite small which wasn't helped by an old disused safe remaining in situ. When the people in the suite above us showered it sounded like heavy rain coming through our ceiling. The bathroom isn't private at all, the walls are glass and only parts of the glass are frosted, so we basically watched and heard each other using the toilet and shower every time. We had to pay to rent the safe which we hardly used because it was barely attached to the wall so it didn't seem very secure at all. The sofa was positioned against the same wall as the TV, next to the sinks and directly opposite the bathroom, so we never used it and I can't imagine people wanting to sit there. The room was cleaned 5 out of 7 days but all they really did was make the bed, replace the towels and empty the bin, and by the end of our stay the floor was filthy. Apart from that the suite felt very clean when we checked in and I've seen reviews about it being run down but it didn't feel run down to me. We didn't use the TVs so can't comment on those, the balcony was nice to sit out on and we had a reasonable view of the stage for the shows. The hotel looks impressive from the outside and upon entering the pirate theme continues throughout. The place was really clean and we saw cleaners there all the time during the day. There are kids toilets beside reception/a short walk from the pool area, these are super cute and include baby baths and kid sized toilets, although the boys toilet was out of order the full week we were there. The pool area is very impressive, with 5 different pools (4 almost adjoin one another, with a good sized adult pool, a baby pool, and 2 medium sized pools) and the 5th is over the other side and has several water slides although my daughter didn't want to use any of the slides so I can't comment on them. There is artificial grass all over which looks and feels good and isn't slippery. The stage area looks over the pools. There are plenty of sun loungers but not enough parasols and what's really frustrating is that people reserve them by wrapping their beach towels around them during the early hours and the hotel staff do nothing to stop this. There are several lifeguards on duty when the pools were open, which made me feel that my daughter was safe although I stayed with her the entire time she was in the pools. The WiFi is free. I'm a fussy eater and I found the food choices extremely limiting, I spent the week eating chips, rice, salad, and bread rolls, we ate out several times so I could eat a proper meal and you could really tell the difference in quality in the cafes/restaurants from the hotel food and drinks. Breakfast was probably the best meal, and the snack bar had several options, but lunch and evening meals were repetitive. You can help yourself to water all day but other drinks have to be ordered at the bar except during meal times when you can use the self service machines. This meant queueing during the day which wasn't ideal when you're in the pool and fancy a quick cola and have to then queue at the bar for it rather than just being able to use the self service machine which is next to the bar. It's also table service for the snack bar which again means waiting and it took ages for me to get the attention of a staff member to order food. It didn't feel fully all inclusive and you can even pay to upgrade to VIP all inclusive which I think demonstrates how much isn't included in the standard all inclusive, including ice creams in a cone, ice lollies, popcorn, fresh cocktails, cans and bottles. We arrived late (around 10pm) and left early (around 7:30am) and the hotel didn't accommodate a late dinner or early breakfast for us which I've had in other all inclusive resorts. The entertainment is very cheesy, some shows were better than others, but the entertainment staff were fantastic, although my daughter was scared of one of the pirates who plays the part a little too well. You have to pay to reserve a table to guarantee a view of the stage which I think is unreasonable, it's €40 for the front row or €30 euros behind for a table of 4. You can pull chairs up beside the bar area but whether you can sit there or not depends on the staff on the day, some days it was fine others it wasn't, we were asked to move despite seeing people sat in the same place the day before and the day after us, we weren't blocking the view or anything, and they decided it was ok for us to sit there until about 30 minutes in when they suddenly told us to move because "it's the rules". I suspect this is because the manager arrived mid way through so staff tightened up on the rules but are more relaxed when the manager isn't around. We did complain to reception who told us to "speak to the Scottish woman at the bar" but she was one of the ones who had asked us to move and possibly the manager. Children are allowed to sit on small chairs directly Infront of the stage which is great, although my daughter was clinging to me the whole holiday so she refused to sit there because I wasn't allowed. The pirate takeover on Sunday afternoon was brilliant. The location is good, close to shops/bars/restaurants/cafes and a short walk to the beach. I felt safe the entire time, it's also really good that the pools are fenced off when closed, I was able to run around the artificial grass chasing my daughter and playing hide and seek behind the parasols etc without worrying about her accidentally falling into the pools. There's a free kids club but my daughter wouldn't use it so I can't comment on that. Overall a nice hotel but lots of room for improvement and we don't feel we got value for money.
First off the staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful! The hotel is clean, has great facilities and both adults and kids absolutely loved our stay here! Santa Ponca is a great holiday destination with the beach and shops just a few minutes walk away. We stayed self catering so cannot comment on the food.
Location was perfect, so close to the beach and in a quiet area. Hotel was so clean. Pools were fab as were the entertainment team and pool staff/lifeguards.
Food selection didn’t seem very big, we only ate in the hotel once so can’t fully comment but it just didn’t look like a big selection
We had an amazing time. The staff and entertainment team were fantastic. The shows on an evening were just so professional and entertaining!! We had room 29 with the garden! Just perfect near the pool. The only criticism I can make is that the pool didn't open until 10.30am Which by that time, it was extremely hot and the Grandkids were getting bored as they had been up early and just wanted to get in the pool. Everything else was perfect. Absolute amazing time and definitely would go back Janine, Nev &family June 2026
La liberté que j’ai pu donner à mon fils de 8 ans, on se sentait vraiment en sécurité
Aucun moyen d’avoir quoique se sois, à boire ou à manger après 23 heures
Me, my wife and 3 kids had the most amazing time here. The connection from the airport was seamless and the hotel itself takes your breath away upon arrival. The kids loved it upon sight. The entrance is like a secret pirate cove and instantly sets the tone. All staff are warm and welcoming, from the entertainers to the doorstaff who greet you on arrival every one of them work hard to make the stay magical. The place had a very child friendly approach, so expect some noise in the late morning and evening but once you are in the room you barely hear them. (But its expected to hear kids having fun) it is the perfect venue for a family holiday in Santa Ponca. We were self catering but all inclusive was offered also the restaurant in house was clean and the food on offer looked amazing. You are within walking distance to so many shops and a supermarket is about a 5 minute walk from the entrance. So you can happily find a place and food that suites you at good prices. Rooms were cool and well kept. And air conditioned with WiFi available for free. The pools are well maintained and have never felt so reassured of safety. Lifeguards would be attending each and would have at least 2 to a pool at peak times. With pop up events happening through the day. Entertainment on a night is top tier, very professional and most importantly fun. My youngest son fell In love with place. And he was also asked to be included in one of the shows after being so involved with the crew. This made his whole year and can not tell you enough how amazing the memories are we made here. They try so hard to include everyone and make sure the kids are having fun....the big kids too. We are already looking at returning next year and would strongly recommend you consider bringing your family here too. Restaurants around the venu are also phenomenal good local food and exotic choices too. Your a short bus ride from the beach or a 10-15 minute walk away. There's so much to do at Pirate Village but it is so well situated excursions out of the resort feel like a breeze also. Staff are willing to assist and advise with all kinds of queries and do so with a smile. The Bar staff are tremendously hard working and friendly. They keep things running with a smile. In fact all the staff do. This place is a testament to all the hard work they put in. So happy my kids loved this holiday, The Pirate Village took it to another level. Could not thank the Staff or entertainers enough for the memories they gave us. Roberto, Jay to name a few they gave it their all each and every day and it shows. Greatful we decided to book here and feel this will be our go to place from now on.
Great for kids
We were given room 240 , themed room! It was dirty, dark and it hasn’t been updated in 10 years, an old wardrobe with no shelving , horrible small table with stains, the bathroom was small and dark, again needs updating, the living area was okay! Our shower needed fixing and the bedroom light on the first day! It took two days for them to move us to a twin disability room which we took but not what we wanted! I was disgusted by room 240, it was so expensive and to sell these rooms to guests is a disgrace and they know it!!
Pools and entertainment are 10 out of 10. The pirates are brilliant entertaining all the kids . The pools are so safe never seen so many lifeguards around the place. They also allow floaties which is a plus for my little boy. The staff are very friendly especially Alex in the bar . The room was very clean and beds comfortable . The only downfall is that the first to rows of tables by the stage you have to reserve and pay 40 euro for the the first and 30 for the second even after paying all inclusive . Theis is ridiculous as you shouldn't have to pay to see the show after paying all inclusive fee . And also you have to pay 10 euro for a tv remote which you don't need as the buttons underneath the TV will work instead. The resort is spotless and very close to the beach shops bars mc donalds etc . My son enjoyed his holiday but one or two updates and I would rate this hotel 5 ⭐.
Second time to pirates village, has been all updated, still amazing. Entertainment for children is second to none, rooms are spotless, pool area is spotless. Life guards are so attentive. Aircon in rooms is brilliant! Absolutely zero complaints about this place. Will be returning again next year, booked and all!!
I went with my three granddaughters aged 3 4 and 12 they had a brilliant holiday and I could not praise the hotel enough for the memories they will have from this wonderful time at Pirates Village the only down side was in the dinning room were the head Waiter Carlos and Alex decided that we had to squeeze a family of 5 around a very small table after speaking to Beverly she sorted this problem out and we were seated at an appropriate table to eat out meals in comfort. First class entertainment exceptional performers my grandchildren were memorized by there daily shows and loved the bad pirate who kept the children entertained around the pool. safety with the exceptional lifeguard team.Would highly recommend for a great family holiday. Neve Zosia and Zara Dundee
Food was fab. Facilities were fantastic and staff were excellent
Nothing
I originally read a lot of other people’s reviews on various sites & decided to form my own opinions and glad I did because my stay at the pirates village was excellent throughout,i cannot fault hotel or its staff for anything, the food was very good and catered for us all. The memory of the hotel owner on site & getting involved in the massive water pistol fight around the pool, absolutely excellent THANK YOU.
Amazing experience for all the family, entertainment & staff were brilliant nothings too much trouble, there's enough food variety for anyone, shops 2 mins down road, air con in the room is amazing after a hot day by the pool, 4 pools with different depths, sun loungers & parasols available but you have to be quick with a parasol they go fast. Entertainment for all ages. Would definitely come again
Apartments were clean but small. Staff were friendly but some staff seemed stressed on the daily. Rooms very outdated and beds are not comfortable so we didnt get much sleep. I would advise getting a safe as my very expensive ear rings went missing from the bedside locker just after the room was cleaned. Hotel couldnt do anything about it other than ask the maid which response was, "no ear rings there". You have to pay for the safe. You also havw to pay for the remote control for the tv 10e, which you get back when you check out. Pool times are not great! Kids up and ready at 7am and pool doesnt open until 10:30am. Not enough umbrellas for the shade. Guests were sitting beside the umbrellas from 8am as you could not sit out in that heat without shade. Kids club is great!!!! and it's free! The pools are also great. Kids loved the pool and daily entertainment. The food is ok. We will not be not returning to pirates village.
The selection of food was excellent at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms and pool area was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The snack bar throughout the day was a bit limited especially the treats and snacks for smaller kids, it would have been nice to have ice lollies (Mr. Freeze) included in the all inclusive, even the options of ice cream to purchase was limited for toddlers and had to run to shop.
I would happily recommend this hotel. The staff were amazing especially Beverly and the reception staff. All the other staff were great too. The whole complex is spotless and the apartments were a great size with really good air conditioning. Fabulous pools and the evening shows were spectacular so professional. We would return to this complex in a heartbeat. Ann .
I went to pirate village with my family we loved it loved the hotel the staff and the entertainment was amazing and that good we booked to go again September I think il always go back my favour place to go
Pirates Village – Review I'm currently staying here on a budget getaway, and thankfully it was relatively cheap. I paid around £1,200 for a 5-night stay, and I would have been extremely disappointed if I'd paid any more. The fact that this hotel can cost close to £5,000 for a week during some periods of the year is difficult to justify based on my experience. In my opinion, this is barely a 3-star hotel. The rooms feel very dated, as though they haven't been significantly updated in 15–20 years. Housekeeping has also been disappointing, with rooms receiving minimal cleaning and fresh towels not always being provided. The layout of the resort is confusing, and getting between the rooms, pool, and bar can feel like navigating a maze. The pool area lacks organisation, and the food is generally below average. Customer service has been inconsistent. On more than one occasion, I was told I couldn't order food despite service still appearing to be available. Some staff members seemed stressed and overworked, which unfortunately affected the overall guest experience. The entertainment has probably been the highlight of the stay. However, it's difficult to see it as a major positive when the shows are relatively short and guests are expected to pay extra for preferred seating near the front. Charging additional fees for better seats at the entertainment venue feels like an unnecessary cash grab. Overall, I'd strongly recommend comparing other options before booking. Based on my experience, this hotel does not offer good value for money and falls well short of expectations.
This was our 2nd time as my son is older. The food the 1st time was basic & greasy. So we knew not to expect too much. But the staff are amazing. However this 2nd time was mind blowing they just changed the pool layout so it's safer and better and the evening entertainment was amazing as an adult I was even saying "ooo & wow" and upstanding applause. Great for kids aged 4-10. Kids club is great too free of charge.
It is 2 weeks since we visited and our son is still talking about this holiday and asking when he can go back! This was the perfect holiday for our children and if they are happy then so are Mum and Dad. The hotel and facilities are perfect for young pirates, the staff are so friendly and have amazing energy however hot it gets. The show at the end of the day was the icing on the cake, very professional and far exceeded my expectations.
Location was great, Pools/slides for younger children was brilliant. Great it was all fake grass around the pool area! Entertainment was really good at night!
All Inclusive Package left a lot to be desired for! It was far from All Inclusive and the premium paying customer was left at a disadvantage. Food was shocking and buffet was very small! There was no ice cream for kids outside normal meal times. You had to buy these separately! There was a menu of decent cocktails priced at circa 10 euros but if you were all inclusive you get the bog standard shocking ones out a machine. If you were all inclusive you were not able to eat around the pool. You could buy the same Ham and cheese toastie for 6 euros, it was then provided in a plastic box, which then meant because you'd paid for it you could each round the pool. There is also a rule where you are only allowed 2 drinks at a time if you are all inclusive, but not if you pay and are self catering! These rules might not of even existed, as one bartender would try to enforce them and the other not! All Inclusive guests need to pay 40 euro to sit on the front row during the entertainment and 30 euros to sit on the 2nd row.
Great place, especially for children. Food was excellent, entertainment was the best I've ever seen. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent all round. Would go again.
If travelling with young kids this hotel is an absaloute dream for them. They deserve 10 stars💫From daytime pool games and entertainment, mini discos and the animation team. The shows are amazing. All the appartments are pool view, fully equipped and always so clean. The pools are fantastic and heated. Location is perfect, five minutes away from the beach shops and restaurants. All staff very friendly in particular Beverly, so nice friendly and helpful, the bar staff dorina and Carlos. Reception staff. Door security. The highlight of this holiday are of course the pirates and the amazing entertainment they put on every night. We will be back next year.
Just back as a family of 6, all positive, great location, close to beach and main town centre, 4 pools all very good, food good especially the pizzas, made fresh in front of you. The slides at pool would really be aimed at younger kids, from 9/10 years down, but we knew that before arrival. Western Water Park is definitely worth visiting with family, only 15 mins away. Transfer provided by hotel on certain week days and we received free ticket entry aswell from reception. Entertainment and shows very good, we didn't use the kids club ourselves. Rooms well serviced and towels changed most days in fairness, got late check out at cost of €75 which was well worth it for us to keep all our belongings together and shower in the evening before late flight home(this might not always be available), there is also complementary shower service provided and locked room for suitcases to be left in before checking out. Overall a great experience, all staff very helpful and hard working. Just to note for all inclusive, this includes, soft drinks, beer(draught) and spirits, the cocktails I tried that are ready made didn't taste great, a cocktail made fresh costs about €10 and are really good, there is lovely ice-cream that you can get at buffet meal times but outside of that you pay extra to get individual ice-creams at the bar. Definitely head to Pirates Village for a lovely family holiday.
Hotel and entertainment was amazing, our room was lovely and freshly renovated. Food let the hotel down as it wasn’t great and we went out for food 3 nights to get a break from chips. Reception and bar staff where really nice and helpful.
Our whole family really enjoyed the stay. The surroundings were beautiful, with pools, water slides, and an excellent program every day. The entertainment activities were perfect, and so was the entire staff.
We have just returned from a 10-night all-inclusive stay at Pirates Village, Santa Ponsa, booked through Jet2. We also paid almost £400 extra for a ground-floor family room with terrace. There are some genuinely positive aspects to this hotel. The location is excellent, with the beach, shops, bars and restaurants all within a few minutes' walk. The entertainment team work incredibly hard and the entertainment itself is fantastic. Special mention must go to Shaman Pirate, who was hilarious and brilliant with the children. Diana, Emily and Alex were also always friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel. Unfortunately, the positives were outweighed by a number of issues that left us extremely disappointed. Family Room Not Suitable for a Family of Five We paid extra for what was advertised as a family room, yet the sleeping arrangements were completely inadequate for a family of five. The room consisted of: One bedroom with two single beds. A sofa bed in the living area. A pull-out mattress underneath the sofa. A fold-out cabin bed. The pull-out and fold-out beds were extremely uncomfortable, with metal bars clearly felt through the mattresses. We actually had to cut our own mattress topper in half so our son could sleep more comfortably because the metal was digging into him. My husband ended up sleeping on the sofa for much of the holiday. The room itself is very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Poor Housekeeping Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some days towels were replaced, other days they weren't. There was no reliable daily cleaning service and we repeatedly had to visit reception to request clean towels. On one occasion we were told there were no towels available and to come back in an hour. Unfortunately, we had a taxi booked to take us to a show and needed to shower beforehand. Ants in the Room There were ants regularly appearing on the kitchen worktops. I constantly felt the need to clean surfaces and it left the room feeling unhygienic. Air Conditioning and Safe Not Working Properly The air conditioning struggled throughout our stay and did not cool the room effectively, which made sleeping even more uncomfortable. The room safe also did not work properly. Broken Facilities Many of the facilities were poorly maintained. The arcade contained machines that did not work, resulting in disappointed children after spending money on them. Both pool tables were unusable and several of the pool cues were missing their tips, making them impossible to use properly. Not Truly All Inclusive This was by far our biggest disappointment. We stayed at Pirates Village around eight years ago and it was a much better experience. Sadly, it feels as though the hotel has gone downhill considerably. We specifically paid for an all-inclusive holiday, yet it simply does not feel all inclusive. Ice creams, ice lollies and sweets for children are charged extra, often around €4 each. Families budgeting for an all-inclusive holiday should not be constantly reaching for their wallets. Throughout the day and evening there are long queues at the bar simply to get a drink because there are no self-service drinks stations available. After queuing, we were regularly told we could only have two drinks per person. Paid Entertainment Seating Another major frustration was the entertainment seating. To properly watch the evening entertainment, guests are encouraged to pay €40 for a table. We felt pressured into paying this so our children could comfortably see the show. However, despite paying €40, the service was actually worse than on the free tables. Plates were left piling up and nobody came to take drink orders. The package supposedly included a bottle of wine, but as we don't drink wine, I asked if the children could have sweets instead. Two bags of sweets eventually appeared with no explanation or communication. Poor Treatment by Staff While some staff members were excellent, others left us feeling extremely uncomfortable. One particular incident involved Carlos discussing an issue regarding our seating arrangements with another family whom he appeared to know personally. This conversation took place within earshot of us and felt highly unprofessional. Another member of staff, Beverley, repeatedly challenged where we were sitting during entertainment. I was attempting to sit with my young children because they were anxious about being separated from us. I was moved from one seat, then when another family kindly offered me a spare chair at their paid table, I was told I could not sit there either. The entire experience was embarrassing and left me feeling like a naughty school child rather than a paying guest. Departure Day The issues continued right until the end of our holiday. After checking out in the morning, we were informed that we could continue using the hotel facilities until our evening airport transfer. However, when we asked for towels to use around the pool, we were told we could not have any because they were "shower towels". We were advised to walk across the road and buy towels from a local shop if we wanted to continue using the pool facilities. For a family remaining on site for many hours before a late transfer, this felt unreasonable and disappointing. Overall Pirates Village still has fantastic entertainment, a brilliant location and some wonderful staff members. However, management appear to be prioritising additional revenue streams over guest experience. The hotel no longer provides the all-inclusive experience that many families expect, the rooms are tired and uncomfortable, maintenance is lacking, and customer service is inconsistent. Sadly, despite having wonderful memories from a previous stay here, we would not return and would struggle to recommend it to other families in its current state. Rating: 2/5 ⭐⭐ The entertainment team deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, the hotel itself does not.
Less than 5 minute walk from cute little cove. Super child friendly, if you don’t like kids having the best time of their lives (noise, splashing, running around, laughter) then don’t come. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Room was clean. Our room was at the front of the hotel facing the main road the lights from the front of the hotel was quite disturbing during the night and noise from passing traffic. Also families arriving at all times of the night and kids running up and down (as expected). We found this was a small price to pay for the incredible view of the stage that allowed us to bring a toddler up early and watch from our balcony while she slept. Love the fact there was a kids loo and sink in the main part of hotel. Love the fact the hotel isn’t huge. Feels very safe and family oriented. Only issue we had is that my partner is vegan and the food wasn’t clearly labelled or many options. He ended up eating fish as he felt dissatisfied with what he could eat. Kids club crew were fabulous my kids wanted to go every day :) The pirates are so talented and interact beautifully with the kids. The shows are top tier! The most exciting thing was the pirate attack on Sunday an unforgettable experience I will talk about for the rest of my life! Special mentions: Alex (waiting staff), Bev and Kids Club Crew Already working out dates for our return!!!
Lovely clean room, the children especially loved that they could change the colour of the lights in their room. The entertainment was fantastic for the children and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The view for adults of the shows in the evening isn't great. You have to pay extra for a table will a view of the stage. Also the entertainment have a day off on a Wednesday which seemed strange as it wasn't a change over day so we only had 5 days of evening shows. Location wise it is a short walk to the beach but if you are thinking of heading on excursions they are all at least an hour away. We went to the water park and Palma aquarium and thoroughly enjoyed both with our 3 children. Finally food, it's quite repetitive but after the first few days we worked it out and managed to ensure that the children didn't just eat pizza for lunch and dinner every day. The fresh cooked eggs, bacon and pancakes in the morning were particular favourites. Overall we had a fantastic time, it was our first family holiday abroad and it really did tick all the boxes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would recommend.
My husband and I recently visited Pirates village on a guest day pass. We purchased a day pass at £60 per person to spend the day with family staying there. The pass allowed us access from 10.30 until 6pm. We had a fab day visiting and spending time with family. Facilities are great but for us as adults without children a little wasted. Food at lunch was delicious, staff where amazing and really looked after us. We definitely didn't see the value of the 120 euro we spent. We where also horrified to then have to pay for an alcohol free beer. Terrible for a diabetic who doesn't drink alcohol. I wish we could have stayed to see our nieces in the evening show but for the memories of time spent with family, pricesless.

We visited Pirates Village during the May school holidays ourselves a family of 5 and another family of 4 with us. We had a superb time! The pools are fantastic including slides and some are heated with lifeguards on site at all times. The food is good - we went all inclusive! Entertainment is amazing! Shows every evening apart from 1 with the pirates, mini discos and more! The also do a range of daytime activities including Mermaid Lessons! Hotels rooms are your basic holiday room but what more could you need! Although we were all inclusive they still have facilities for self catering in the rooms. Only had an issue with the shower water stopping but that can be expected during busy times such as just after the pool closes! Overall we had a blast and will definitely visit again!
We booked a last minute 6 day break at Pirates Village to take two of our grandchildren on holiday. What a great choice. We went self catering so I can't comment on the food. The 1 bedroom apartment was small but clean. The pools were brilliant. One had small slides for kids only. All the pools had lifeguards who were very on the ball. The evening entertainment was amazing and the kids were well looked after in the kids club if needed. Sunday afternoon ended with a mass water fight between dozens of kids and the hotel pirates. All the self catering apartments face the stage so we had a balcony view every night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and seafront area where there are numerous nice restaurants and bars. there are also a few small supermarkets nearby. We would definitely go back.
This holiday has not lived up to its expectations. We have heard some wonderful things about Pirates Village before we decided to book here. The families that have told us so much good things about Pirates Village could not believe what we have told them from our experience. It is not an "All Inclusive" holiday! Everything is charged as extras. Simple things like the Mermaid experience for our two young girls was an extra €40! Which we paid as we couldn't not let our girls experience it. The Two front row tables at each evening show were €40 and €30 extra, most of these table were empty because everybody we spoke to think the same as us...an absolute disgrace! Charging extra for popcorn and advertising the ice-cream which were €4 each!! I've never experienced an All-Inclusive holiday where they charged extra for things that should be included.... hence the name "ALL INCLUSIVE"!!! We have talked to a lot of families during our stay here, most of which have been back 3 and 4 times! They all told us it was never like this before, and this would be their last time coming back! Whatever has happened to this hotel over the past year or so has made it so much worse for so many people. This even shows with a lot of the staff working here. They made us feel very uncomfortable with their attitude towards us and other guests. It felt like we were on the clock the whole time watching the time in-case we were getting close to the cut off time for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where the staff were lifting our plates before we were finished and telling us “It’s closed" anytime it came close to finish time! We ate at different restaurants for the last 3 days of our holiday because we didn't feel comfortable eating in Pirates Village! I don't know if anybody will read my review here, but I hope someone does. This has been a very disappointing holiday for us, and we will not be returning to Pirates Village. To say we had a bad experience would honestly be an understatement!
Personal sehr nett !
Zimmer # 340 ist eine Katastrophe!!!
Visited Pirates Village as a family of 4 and overall we had a good time. The hotel is obviously pirate themed and the frontage of the hotel and communal areas are really well presented to tie in with the pirate theme. The hotel is situated about 5-10 mins walk from Santa Ponsa beachfront and is surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. Also, a little bonus is the hotel provides free tickets to either marineland or western waterpark. I wasn’t aware of this until we arrived so this was a nice little bonus. The entertainment at the hotel is brilliant, particularly the nighttime shows, which are really polished professional shows that wouldn’t be out of place at a theatre. The pirates who perform the shows are brilliant and have long days, staying in character throughout. One frustrating part is that you have to pay for the front two rows of tables (between 30 and 40 euros) and sitting pretty much anywhere else will result in an obscured view of the stage. The staff at the hotel are fantastic. Bev the hotel manager always seems to be around and is approachable. The reception staff are really helpful and the bar staff are also great. It seems to be a really small team as you always see the same faces, but they work really hard to make sure you have a great time. Our room was basic and looking a bit tired if I’m honest. There’s not much in the way of theming in the rooms other than a Pirates Village decal above the bed. We were a family of 4 and our room had one bed and one sofa bed, so not really the best size for a family. There is a kitchenette area and it’s pretty well equipped with hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and utensils so you could definitely knock up a light breakfast or a bit of lunch in there if you’re going self catering. Again the room is tired looking, but I think the hotel is updating some of the rooms. The pool area is really fun for kids, with multiple pools of varying depths and a pool with slides. Each pool has a lifeguard on shift and they are really good at enforcing the rules and keeping everyone safe. The hotel removes all sunloungers at night and prevent people from putting towels down to reserve spaces, which is a really good thing as I never had any issues getting loungers, but they could do with more parasols. We went All Inclusive and this is where the hotel fails in my opinion. There is a buffet restaurant that serves food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a snack bar that serves bar snacks between 1-5pm. The buffet area is relatively small and the food is really repetitive. We stayed for 7 days and ate out for dinner on 3 nights because of this. The food at the snack bar on the all inclusive menu is not good. It’s a very limited menu and the quality of the food is poor. Very poor quality meat for the burgers, toasted cheese sandwiches where the cheese is still cold in the middle and hot dogs. Also, the hotel has one bar to serve all drinks, so the queues are usually pretty long and halfway through our holiday, the hotel staff introduced a ridiculous policy of only serving 2 drinks per person at the bar. This applied to all drinks, not just alcoholic and meant that a family of four would have to make multiple trips to the bar to get drinks for the whole family at the same time or each individual person queues up for their own drink, which only made the queues longer. I really felt let down by this element, you pay quite a bit extra for all inclusive and it feels like the rug is pulled from underneath you once you’ve paid your money and arrived at the hotel. If you’re going to visit this hotel, don’t go all inclusive as it’s not really all inclusive at this hotel. Overall the hotel is a good experience for families and kids, just avoid the All inclusive.
Hotel is good for the kids, the day time and nighttime entertainment is the best thing about the hotel, the staff are very friendly and the hotel was clean. The food is where it was let down massively, the same cheap boring nasty options every single night with the only thing edible being plain pasta salad and chips, we ended up eating out 5/7 nights because it just was nothing edible or even worth trying. We stayed in a themed apartment which I paid extra for, massive let down again!! I’d of rather saved my money and stayed in a basic room as they was much nicer and more space the themed room felt like we was staying in a hostel with a lot of broken things from floor boards to light switches, curtains and even the walls. The fight for Sunbed’s in a morning was ridiculous they say they remove towels but they don’t it’s a free for all with people even laying their towels out on the grass as early as 8am just for a spot. At night time if you want to sit first or second row for your food or to watch the entertainment you have to pay, not a lot of people did pay leaving many empty tables and while these tables were empty everyone was expected to be cramped up in the bar with no where to sit instead of just allowing these tables to be used, when the manager was not in the bar staff let people sit down without having to pay so I feel the rules was hit and miss depending if the manager was in or not. There is 2 lots of arcades one inside one outside with a note changing machine. Overall the hotel was okay and we did enjoy our holiday but if I was to come back it would definitely be self catering.
If you have young children, this is hands down one of the best themed hotels you can find. We spent a week here and our kids (ages 8 and 14) were completely amazed from the moment we arrived. The pool area is the absolute highlight—tandvthe upgraded poos are amazing e The entertainment team deserves 10 stars; they put so much energy into the daytime games and the nightly mini-discos and pirate shows. This was our 6th visit and already booked for next may, Devastated we couldn't get our usual large terrace room, but either way it will be an amazing holiday thanks all the staff and the amazing owner who always took the time to say hello.
It was a brilliant experience staff very friendly and helpful and everything for the kid's and what I loved the most is how they treated us at the end of stay we were checked out bt 12am ans was allowed remain there till our transfer's arrived at 7.3o pm
Exelecent very friendly great atmosphere very good with kids recommended to my friends
What a great hotel and entertainment was amazing. Very clean rooms and also a short walk to the beach. Will return next year :)
Came with a group of 9 mixed adults and children, ages 1-8. The hotel isn’t all inclusive… if you book I’d recommend self catering. We requested a bottom floor room with a garden which we didn’t get. The rooms themselves are tacky and need updating. Some rooms have been refurbished I think this isn’t fair when you have guests paying thousands all guests should get the same experience. All the rooms come with a kitchen and table which again isn’t for all inclusive guests.. there’s no free ice creams for the kids which I’ve never heard of on holiday, charging 4 euro per ice cream as a family of 4 or 5 this is expensive. The drinks will give you alcohol poisoning and the food is shocking. Hardly any variety and most of us had diaharrea the whole time we stayed. We also spoke to other families who had experienced the same. The cleaners didn’t clean, most days we came back to glasses still in our rooms and ash trays unemptied, having to ask reception for toilet roll. My nephew was sick one night and the bed sheets were left in the room untaken. Online it’s advertised as heated pools where there is in fact one heated pool, no adults are allowed on the slides which was upsetting for the younger children who were scared to go down themselves. There is also a charge for the first two rows of entertainment which is baffling as an all inclusive guest we’ve already spent thousand to be here. There isn’t much for younger children in the evenings, a tiny slide and bouncers off to one side of the dining room.. The entertainment however is good the pirates put on a good show but aren’t like any other animation team that spend time dancing etc around the pools. We stayed may - June and for some reason on our last two days the limit for drinks went from however many you like to two per person, which is hard when you’ve got little ones and sitting in the balcony to drink and watch entertainment as there is nothing for them to do. I won’t return to pirates village & am disappointed with what we’ve paid for and what we’ve received I holiday twice a year and this if the worst by far.
Beautiful hoilday staff was amazing big shout out to Alex the waiter the football coach and Bev the manager had 3 rooms for the family and one of the best hoildays ever
Amazing. So clean, plenty on for the kids, great entertainment, not one complaint we had the best time and will be back next year!
We recently stayed at Pirates Village and overall had a good family holiday. The positives were definitely the entertainment, which was excellent, and the staff, who were all very friendly and fantastic with our toddler. The pools were great, especially the splash pool, which our little girl loved. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, and the location is ideal with everything within easy reach. We also appreciated being allowed to continue using our all-inclusive bands after check-out until we left for the airport. There were a few areas that could be improved. Our room wasn't cleaned during our 3-night stay and we didn't receive fresh towels unless we asked for them. The food was average and the all-inclusive drinks and cocktails were disappointing, with many tasting watered down. It was also frustrating that some drinks required an extra charge despite being on an all-inclusive package. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay and created some lovely family memories. Pirates Village is a great choice for families with young children, mainly because of the excellent entertainment, facilities, and welcoming staff.
We have just returned from a wonderful week at Pirates village. It was our first time staying here and we were completely impressed. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay run seemlessly and to give us a wonderful holiday. The pools were spotless and we appreciated that they were heated. My children were in the pools all day and absolutely loved them, including the slides, which were perfect for my children aged five and seven. They also enjoyed the kids club and the staff were really lovely and friendly. The shows at night were incredible, especially the musicals one and the staff performing them were amazing! My children also loved the fun mini disco. The location of the hotel is brilliant and just a five minute walk to the sandy beach. The staff on reception were helpful and on hand if we ever needed anything. Our rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Towels were provided in the room but you need to bring your own for around the pool. We opted for the all-inclusive package and enjoyed the choices of wines, beers, and some cocktails. Some local spirits were also included. We loved the freshly made pizzas, meats and fish every day and there was a wonderful salad bar. There was also a live cooking station for grilled vegetables, various fish and other meat daily. My daughter has coeliac disease and the chef catered for her brilliantly. They ensured she had separate provisions for gluten-free items and cooked everything in separate areas and brought them straight over to her. They took it really seriously and we cannot thank them enough, especially Francisco, Jose (chefs) and Corina in the dining room who always made sure my daughter had everything that she needed. They were so thoughtful and this really made our holiday so much easier as it can be very difficult and my daughter can be very ill. The restaurant itself was lovely and there was a pleasant Terrace area where we could watch the children play as we dined. There were always plenty of seats available and there were lots of staff always cleaning and restocking the buffet. We absolutely loved our week here and would love to return in the future.
Very good for familys big or small kids,
Best place we have ever stayed in. Looks amazing, staff are really dedicated and the kids facilities were exceptional! Entertainment throughout the day and evening shows were amazing. Lots of talented people who put their heart in what they do. Food and drink brilliant and plenty of area to have it.
