Unser Zimmer war kleiner als erwartet. Es gab nur ein öffentliches Parking und man musste das Gepäck über eine sehr lange Rampe hinaufschleppen. Das Frühstückbuffet war minimal.

The architecture is stunning and the up keep of this facility is on par. The hotel has so many interesting public areas to enjoy such as a library, a wonderful garden for afternoon tea or a glass of wine, and the seating in the bar down stairs reminds me of a cave. So many nooks and crannies to explore!
I wished they had their own parking.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026M’ha agradat molt l’estil clàssic, l’edifici històric amb ambient tranquil i relaxat, amb sales amb sofàs i jardí per seure’s i sentir la pau que desprén aquest lloc. La ubicació és perfecta: davant del mercat, a prop del centre però en un lloc tranquil.
Estàvem a una habitació a les golfes amb 2 finestres al cel. Era una habitació preciosa, comfortable i neta, amb parets de pedra i decoració clàssica, molt bonica. No obstant això, jo hauria preferit balcó o finestra al jardí però repeteixo que l’habitació era còmoda i bonica (encara que em vaig donar més d’un cop al cap amb el sostre típic de les golfes 😅).

Our superior twin room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with air conditioning. We recommend booking a room in the main building. With the windows closed, you can hardly hear anything, even on the street side. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Christa, the receptionist, gave us many valuable tips for exploring Santaiago. The breakfast buffet, available from 7:30 a.m., is very fresh and plentiful. There is no on-site parking, but a garage and a public parking lot are located next to the hotel.

She welcomed me and asked if I wished to sit in the garden . The Reception lady and gentleman were excellent - booked a taxi and brought us to our room . Very welcoming and helpful staff

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Hotel an super Lage nur ca 5 Min zu Fuss in die Altstadt. Gemütliche Einrichtung, sehr sauber, bequeme Betten und schöner kleiner Balkon mit Sicht in den Garten. Frühstück wird im Wintergarten eingenommen und hat alles was man braucht. Personal sehr nett. Es hat verschiedene Parkhäuser in der Nähe. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen.

nelle stanze standard vista giardino i bagni sono con doccia nella vasca molto pericolosa nonostante la maniglia mia moglie e’ caduta fortunatamente senza conseguenze e anche io ho rischiato di fare la stessa fine così come i miei amici in altra stanza e poi le tavolette del water di legno … andrebbero bruciate ! …..ma a parte questi inconvenienti siamo stati molto bene il posto è davvero bello

Lovely room, very quiet considering that we were over the main road. The room was a great size and the bed very comfortable. The location was excellent, just outside the old town walls.

Niks. Een oud pand is nu eenmaal wat gehorig, dus daar kunnen ze weinig aan doen. Wel wat last gehad van een luidruchtige cafe-tuin, net naast het hotel.

La calidad del buffete del desayuno es fabulosa. Pero introducir alguna novedad en el menú cada 2 o 3 días lo haría aún más atractivo.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026This is a very charming hotel that was refurbished to a high standard with a lot of the original features preserved. The beds are very comfortable and allow a good night's sleep. It is walking distance to the Cathedral and Praza do Obradoiro. The bus stop for the Bus 6A to and from the airport is just 100m from the hotel entrance and it is 15 minutes walk from the railway station.

The room was very clean and comfortable with full air conditioning, and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Be prepared for a walk to parking if you have a vehicle, but the parking was cheap (8 euros/night) roomy and always available at one of the nearby lots

There are so many delicious restaurants within a very short walk of this location and so many sights to see without needing any transportation but your own feet. The breakfasts here were lovely and very convenient if you are doing something early in the day as most restaurants do not open for early breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful. The interior of this hotel is very beautiful. We enjoyed our time here and would stay here again.

Zu weiches Bett. Das gesamte Hotel braucht eine Modernisierung. Frühstück können wir nicht beurteilen, wir empfehlen statt dessen das La Tita in der Altstadt.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Excellent manner of the night receptionist and breakfast staff. Historic-style of interiors, courtyard garden and quiet rooms. Tortilla with thin bacon and Santiago cake.
Choice of drinks in room - no decaffeinated tea and coffee. A biscuit would have been good after unexpectedly arriving too late (on Sunday) for a meal. Pillows - 2 different thicknesses to choose from would be better than 2 of differing lengths. Kiwis were inedible for both of us.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel in optimaler Lage. Der nachmittags schattige Garten lädt zwischen Tagesprogramm und Abendessen zum Entspannen ein. Ein öffentlicher Parkplatz ist wirklich gleich daneben.
Das Frühstück ist mit 16€ meines Erachtens völlig überteuert. Wir haben eine große Galicien-Rundfahrt gemacht und sind erst am Ende nach Santiago gekommen. Wir haben ÜBERALL besser gefrühstückt als in diesem Hotel. Ich kann die lobenden Bewertungen hier absolut nicht nachvollziehen oder bestätigen. Die Spiegeleier wurden gnadenlos heiß gehalten, bis das Eiweiß durch und durch braun und das Eigelb fest war. Meine Bemerkung, die Eier sähen aber traurig aus, hat keinen gejuckt - es wurden keine neuen gebracht. Das Brot war billiges, nicht besonders gutes Industriebrot. Ansonsten wirklich nichts Besonderes auf diesem Buffet, das den stolzen Preis rechtfertigen würde. In der Altstadt kann man zum halben Preis ganz hervorragend frühstücken.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026El desayuno y el jardin estan bien. La ubicacion es excelente justo al lado del mercado y el casco antiguo.
Nos dieron una habitacion de la tercera planta que es una buhardilla con el techo inclinado, por lo que se queda en la mitad de espacio. El baño resultaba especialmente incomodo porque tocabas con la madera del techo inclinado constantemente. El agua caliente de la ducha fue un suplicio, salia fria o caliente cuando queria. El hotel necesita una actualizacion urgentemente.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The hotel is fantastically located – close to the Old Town, yet in a quiet area. It is beautiful, with an excellent garden and terraces. The rooms are well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choice, including some local specialities. The staff were very helpful. There is a convenient underground parking area nearby.
The air conditioning could be more efficient.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Inmejorable, fué nuestro primer hotel haciendo ruta por Galicia y marcó la diferencia Personal, habitación( nos dieron la habitación del ático sin pedirlo y fue una agradable sorpresa), desayuno con productos típicos...Ubicación perfecta detrás de Mercado de Abastos que da inició a la zona histórica a pie. El autobus que salé del aereopuerto ( coste del billete 1€!) te deja en la misma puerta.
