Le restaurant délicieux, le personnel adorable, le safari proposé par le lodge avec Lhodi était parfait, le manager Lwazi aux petits soins pour nous. Un séjour de rêve.

Rien tout était parfait

Le personnel est au top pour nous, toujours souriant et agréable. Le lodge est très beau, bien agencé, avec une vue sur une colline de Kruger. Petit déjeuner avec vue sur 4 girafes, un bonheur. Nous avons loué 3 chambres pour 6, je vous recommande ce lodge, Johan le general manager est aux petits soins.

Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Even managed to get an important football match on TV for us! Very good food. Had dinner both nights and a great packed breakfast to go both mornings. Deck area and balcony are nice.

Very attentive personnel. The day we went on safari they gave us a breakfast pack in a cooler. It went at long way.

The common area is underutilized. It is locked up very early in the evening forcing guests to there rooms and inconveniencing, families who book more than 1 room, as there was no place to spend time together in the evenings.

Johan nos recebeu bem, organizou um game drive pra nós e as pessoas que trabalham no Lodge foram muito solícitas. As dependências são excelentes e o quarto que ficamos tinha muitos utensílios de até churrasqueira.

I highly recommend this place. The staff are amazing and look after you very well. The dinners were amazing and they pack a great lunch for you every day to take on safaris. The bed in the room was very comfortable with high quality sheets changed every day. They booked all our safaris and airport transfers also which were excellent. Highly recommend this place in every way.

Nothing, everything was amazing.

The whole place was excellent - from the accommodation to the staff! The location was stunning with wildlife passing by and sometimes popping in to the garden grounds. It's also just a very short drive to the entrance of Kruger National Park.

The road to the property isn't built for a small car, but for us it just added to the experience!

D’avoir reçu probablement la moins bonne chambre, pas de baignoire et terrasse avec vue sur un mur. Ok c’est peut être du à la réservation booking mais vu que l’hôtel était quasi vide, ça ne coûtait rien de vous en donner une correspondant aux photos

Der Baustil des Gebäudes wirkt ansprechend im Safari Stil und der Ausblick ist super.

Wir sind mit hohen Erwartungen angereist, wurden jedoch leider enttäuscht. Gemessen am hohen Preisniveau hatten wir ein deutlich anderes Erlebnis erwartet. Die Unterkunft & Sauberkeit: Die Lodge ist sichtlich in die Jahre gekommen. Besonders kritisch müssen wir die Sauberkeit bewerten: Auf den Bettdecken und Laken befanden sich Flecken, und das Zimmer wirkte insgesamt nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Zudem hing ein unangenehmer, eigenartiger Geruch im Raum, der so hartnäckig war, dass er selbst nach der Abreise noch an unseren Koffern und Kleidern haftete. Anreise & Lage: Die Lage ist logistisch schwierig. Vom Crocodile River Gate fährt man noch gut 45 Minuten bis zur Lodge. Die letzten 20 Minuten davon waren extrem abenteuerlich. Aufgrund tiefer Schlaglöcher und zerrütteter Wege wäre eine Anreise ohne SUV unserer Meinung nach kaum machbar gewesen. Sicherlich hat der vorherige Regen die Lage verschlimmert, aber ein Vorab-Hinweis der Lodge zur aktuellen Wegbeschaffenheit wäre zwingend notwendig gewesen. Verpflegung & Service: Essen: Die Qualität war insgesamt „okay“, hielt aber dem Vergleich mit anderen Lodges in derselben Preisklasse absolut nicht stand. Personal: Dies war der positive Lichtblick unseres Aufenthalts. Das Team war sehr nett und sichtlich bemüht, uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Fazit: Für uns passt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier leider nicht. Die weite Entfernung zum Gate (mind. 45 Min.), die schwierige Anfahrt und die Mängel bei der Sauberkeit rechtfertigen den hohen Preis nicht. Wir haben für das gleiche Geld in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Gates weitaus ansprechender und gepflegter gewohnt. Keine Empfehlung für diesen Preis.

The whole experience was really great, especially the dedication of the staff who are passionate about their work and go above and beyond what one would expect. From the quality of meals provided to cleanliness of the facilities it was tops. Rooms are serviced daily and are left sparkling. Elasi and his team are a credit to Crocodile Safari lodge. As we arrived we encountered giraffe and impala and during the day we saw so much wildlife. It is a photograph dream from the top viewing deck, as one views directly into Kruger national Park! This is a boutique hotel at it's best. Not only is the venue great value for money, but it's sets a standard far beyond anywhere else we've been to on our month long South African holiday. When one experiences a place as good as this, you can't not want to return and also tell your friends and family about it. From the decor to ambience this is a jewel waiting to be discovered.

Wonderful staff! Superb team. Lovely ambience. Nothing too much trouble . They all deserve a huge well done from ownership .

Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Low water pressure in shower but we can live with that because everything else is superb.

Prachtige locatie met uitzicht op het krugerpark waar je zonsondergang kunt zien, lekker eten en ontbijtje mee op safari was erg fijn. Lekker bed en fijn om aan het eind van een safari dag in het zwembad te kunnen.

Toen we aan kwamen konden we niet meer eten op de locatie omdat we dat al van te voren door moesten geven wat ons was ontgaan, waardoor we alsnog naar een ander restaurant moesten in het donker. Daarnaast voelden we elektrische schokken van de douche en voelden we ons niet erg serieus genomen toen we dit hadden aangegeven bij de host.

Excellent location and staff!! We watched the elephants on the crocodile river at dusk and breakfast. The Kudu and impala come right up to the property. And as we were leaving the zebras walked by our car. The staff we accommodating to a picky eater(3 year old) and a lactose intolerant mother in law.

Great lodge! Food was excellent. The best steak I've ever had! The room was so clean. The staff were excellent tok. We arrived late due to bad weather but they were waiting for us and served us a great dinner.

That we had to reach there driving through stormy conditions but the next day the sun was shining so brightly for us.

Na tarde do dia 8 de Janeiro, no intervalo entre 13h e 15h, após o nosso regresso do Game Safari, desapareceu no lodge a chave do nosso veículo, marca Land Rover Discovery 5. Questionámos os funcionários do lodge, porém ninguém soube dar informações. Fizemos buscas nos quartos e em todas as áreas possíveis, sem sucesso. Importa referir que não saímos do lodge após as 13h, e apenas uma das funcionárias afirmou que eu estava na posse da chave no momento em que lhe entreguei as roupas para lavagem. Solicitei o acesso às imagens das câmaras de vigilância, mas ninguém me forneceu os vídeos. Falei também com a gestora do lodge, no entanto, a sua postura não foi colaborativa nem cordial. Contudo, continuamos aguardando qualquer informacao do Lodge com relacao a Chave perdida.

Funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Localização ótima e game drive sensacional.

Ein sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir hatten zweimal ein privates Dinner, weil keine anderen Gäste zum Abendessen gebucht hat. Sehr schön und lecker.

Wegen zwei Wochen Regen. Im Vorfeld war die Zufahrt gerade so machbar.

The staff is very friendly and their food is delicious. Johan the assistant manager is very helpful as well, they will go all out to make sure your stay is comfortable.

Nothing I didn't like

What an unbelievable place. The accommodation is beautiful with great views of the river where we saw hippos, crocodiles and elephants in the distance. We also had impala, kudu and wart hogs around the accommodation too. The area felt safe and we were able to walk up and down the road by the river. Every meal we had was fantastic, and they offer a packed breakfast if you are going out on an early safari. The dinners are great - 3 course meals, different food every night, vegetarian options and the service is exceptional.

EVERYTHING! Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and have everything you could ever need. Everyone is so so friendly and the food was AMAZING. Hats off to the chef. All the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. 5 star service for sure. The location is fantastic and the views are to die for. We saw giraffes and elephants close enough to touch. So magical.

Johan and his staff went out of their way to accommodate us, even when things went wrong. The property is lovely and gets lots of animal visitors, it's also reasonably close to Crocodile Bridge gate. We both did self drives into the park and had a guided drive arranged and the guide was very knowledgeable.

Lovely spot with a view of the river. Could hear fish eagles and see animals on the river bed. Friendly kind staff and great food.

The road to get there is a bad dust road. Best to go around from the other side of Marloth Park.

The view was great and I like the fact that it's near Kruger national park, though I did not see the big 5 but I had a fantastic weekend.

The lodge manager is excellent in managing his staff and the way he interacts with his guests. He was always prepared to assist and was never too busy! Well done! The food was very good and well presented. The location is really good as it overlooks the Crocodile river.

I believe the units are ready for a touch of maintenance but nothing that requires urgent attention

Das Zimmer war ein kleines Häuschen mit einer voll ausgestatteten Küche und einem gemauerten Grill davor. Es war sehr mit Möbeln zugestellt, so dass es teilweise recht eng wirkte. Außen befand sich eine zweite Dusche. Kakerlaken im Bad gehören wohl dazu, deshalb sollte man Taschen und Koffer geschlossen halten. Vor dem Haus befinden sich ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze. Das Frühstück wird a la carte serviert und ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Abendessen muss vorbestellt werden. Es war sehr lecker und wurde als drei Gänge Menü serviert. Von der Terrasse des Restaurants aus sieht man beim Frühstück bereits Elefanten am Horizont, ebenso Abends, wenn man auf dem Balkon der Lodge sitzt und sich den Sonnenuntergang ansieht.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Unterkunft insgesamt ok. Die Zimmer sind für Südafrikaverhältnisse eher kleine, aber es hat alles was man braucht. Das es schon mal eine Ameise im Zimmer hat ist der Lage geschuldet, man ist in der Natur. Das WLAN ist gut.

Wir haben diverse Unterkünfte in Südafrika besucht, die ein besseres Preis/Leistungsverhältnis boten. Die Lodge ist eher teuer für das Gebotene.

Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lage der Lodge direkt am Crocodile River ist unschlagbar. Das Frühstück war herausragend.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft. Alles war sehr unkompliziert, vor allem das Check-Out. Wir haben täglich vielfältige Lunch-Boxes für die Safari- Tour erhalten.

We had a very warm welcome from the staff. The food was on another level, loved every dish they made👌👌👌. Our room was very clean and convenient. I would definitely recommend this lodge, 10/10.

Pousada bem ao estilo local, africano. Atendimento muito bom desde o momento da reserva. Gerente Joan ajudou muito com informações preciosas sobre melhor aeroporto de chegada, traslados e safaris no Kruger. Valeu muito a hospedagem aqui e super recomendo. Obrigado por contribuir para uma lua de mel inesquecível e especial.

Só senti falta de mais tomadas para carregar eletrônicos, mas esse parece ser um problema em toda África do Sul.

We stopped at the Crocodile Kriger Safari Lodge during our Safari in the Kruger National Park during the end of August 2025 & it was perfect from start to Finish. On arrival we were met at the door & shown to our room with our bags been taken up on our behalf & then a 3 course homemade meal set out which we had chosen from a umber of options earlier in the day. The room.was spacious and had all the amenities we needed during our visit & the staff at the lodge prepared us a packed breakfast each morning to take out during the drive along with each evening when arriving back at the lodge having a good hearty meal which included a starter and a pudding. The lodge is situated in a good distance from Crocodile gate and is quiet so you can easily relax from the long days in the bush. Great place & Great Staff. I would 100% recommend

Wonderful and beautiful location, save parking, lovely staff, tasty breakfast and dinner. All in all a perfect stay to visit Kruger National Park.

The warm and timeless safari lodge ambience, the architectural styling and stunning interior, the comfort and homely feeling. The warm and friendly Manager and staff. The food! The exclusivity of being a guest there as there are not many rooms. The views across the river are fascinating. Warthogs, zebra and giraffe may call in. Monkeys and bush babies too.

The walls as with most places are not sound proof but it’s a very peaceful area.

The cost is fair.. the lodge delivers everything that is indeed important for a good stay around Kruger. Game Drivers booked in advance and with a great safari guide (Nico!). Breakfast is very good (for the days that we had early safari - starting 5am - they prepared a breakfast package in the night before. The staff is simply indescribable, people always open to help and with a good smile on the face! we felt very welcomed. It is definitely an amazing place to stay! *Final additional note that says a lot: I mentioned before the dinner in the first night that was my brother’s bday on that day.. and suddenly after the desserts the staff appeared with a small cake celebration my brother’s life. That was simple but unforgettable.

Wow!!! From the welcoming, enjoying the beautiful views and having dinner. We stayed in the Garden Room, comfortable, cozy and private. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you to the staff for making it so special.

We got a warm welcome from the staff, meals were served promptly at the agreed times. The rooms were small but comfortable and safe. The packed breakfasts were excellent.

Basic maintenance is needed, the door locks, taps, toilet roll holder, bathroom blinds need cleaning. Small things but attention to detail is needed. The balcony and bar/tv room would have been great places to relax if more guests had been around. The drive from the Kruger Park Crocodile Gate was a little too far for comfort, especially with the 4.45am start for the morning game drive.

We would not stay here again.

We travel a lot as a family. We are not difficult or fussy but we expect to get what we are promised. We booked a luxury room with a river view for 3. We arrived to find that the "third bed" for our 10 year old son was a mattress on the floor. Then we were told that they could not provide us with dinner and that we would have to drive to a local restaurant. If this was a cheap B&B fine but this is not acceptable for a hotel. Nobody offered to take our bags to the room. They put us in a "garden cottage" with no view and a sofa bed. I got my own beer and even ended up making my wife's gin-and-tonic myself. Hotel??? The following morning the manager showed up and tried to offer us the drinks and car wash for free. We paid for the drinks. We paid the guy who washed the car as he did a great job. The staff were very but the manager never said sorry. He just tried to buy us off with two free drinks. We were in the bush for 8 days and had been travelling for more than 7 hours when we arrived. We wanted out last night in South Africa to be special. It was not !!
