Good breakfast comfy room
Wonderful cooked breakfast. Clean room and perfect location l. Peter was a lovely host
Parking is a nightmare in weymouth always has been. Hotel only had 2 permits but a great tip is we parked at the railway station for 3 days. Only £13 in total. Much better than £11 a day on the front.
Location
Pictures on the website of property must had been taken a long time ago because the bedroom don’t look like the pictures(they are old and tired) bathroom needs updating and also a good cleaning as there is mould Water pressure is not good when your on the top floor Breakfast was not so good so I don’t know who’s writing them reviews on this site
Location is not bad
Property needs a total decorating., Carpet was very old and needs changing. Shower curtain and towels are dirty and old. The guesr owner does not cater the breakfast with the person working early atleast to give a pack one but nothing was offered so I did not really have any breakfast at all during the stay and no offer of refund or anything to compensate of not having the breakfast. The property is very old and the money he asked is not worth it.Very expensive to the quality of the property.
The hotel was nice but a bit tired looking . The owner was very charming, nice, and very helpful to us, he cooked the breakfast and cleaned the rooms. It was either a cooked meal or a choice of cereals, plus a choice of tea, coffee, or orange juice. The room was tidy but in need of a some TLC. It was a very small on-suit toilet and shower room. It was ideal for a short visIt was great that for a returnable deposit, you got a free parking ticket for the whole of your stay, but (see, don't like)
The free parking ticket was a great addition, but the actual parking space available was a good 10 minutes walk away in the Swanery Car Park. The stairs to the rooms are quite steep and narrow (not ideal for persons with carrying heavy weights (bags & cases). There is no direct parking outside to drop off cases, booking in and leaving. (Double yellow lines)
Friendly host, comfortable beds.
Room was top floor with steep stairs
Lovely breakfast in good location.
Traffic noise, but that’s accepted given the prominent position of Oliver’s
Friendly great service
Parking too far away
Location breakfast and host
Location and breakfast included
Clean room ok for a base.
Acessibility is issue very narrow stairs luckily partner able stay with family that we was visiting.
Location was good, guest house was clean and tidy, staff was nice, and did cooked breakfast
To many steps, every accommodation had steps so I would recommend it to non disabled people ( if you can not do stairs)
The breakfast was good quality. Was not offered any replacements for no egg or beans so made it very small. Coffee was good but no communication as host on the phone to an international country talking loudly.
Stairs to room 5 & 6 are frankly dangerous! Room 5 should be a single but has 2 single beds crammed in and is not really adequate as a B and B .
Room was a very good size with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, piping hot and with very good quality food.
Nothing.
Fantastic Host Ole could not do enough to help. Excellent vegetarian breakfast as prerrquesred and perfect location and proximity to the beach and shops etc.
Loved where it was suited near the beach
Clean and smells nice
Very friendly, great location, comfortable, we didn't want big breakfasts but judging from the bacon and looking at someone else's sausages, I think they use high quality produce - impressed all round.
Only things that would be unfair to expect! Hot weather, air conditioning would be nice but not realistic. Perhaps fans instead? Wouldn't matter most weeks!
Very friendly Hotel, very nice small room, excellent breakfast
Very good location breakfast was excellent host was very friendly and helpful
The only thing the room was small only enough room to walk round the bed
The beans were like warm but the staff were very welcome and assured we was welcome
The bathrooms were very small and didn’t expect to have to struggle up and down stairs for a shared bathroom. Need extra towels. A can of empty beer was left behind my toilet which I also left there because I’m a recovering alcoholic if 15 months so didn’t want to touch it. It’s ok that the car park is a walk away however to have known this would have made it much easier
Location
Needs a total revamp. Stair carpet worn out and dirty, it was hot so had to have the window open the traffic noise was loud, however if there was a fan in the room ( which was not supplied ) we could have closed the window to get some sleep. On check in host was totally unfriendly, never introduced himself or welcomed us on arrival, couldn’t find our booking and handed us his phone to understand my name, if I hadn’t paid in advance I would have walked out and gone elsewhere. Breakfast was mediocre, cheap sausage, coffee clearly a budget option.
Sehr gut
Location cleanliness comfy bed breakfast host
Room was tiny no spoons very steep stairs to go up and down for toilet tiny shower
Close to the seafront and local amenities clean bed linen and room good breakfast
Room too small and cramped ,bathroom too small extractor fan not working, nowhere to put toiletries ,on no fan in bedroom which was essential in this hot weather ,nowhere to put your clothing other than a rail ,tv far too small and not working properly ,parking a problem which resulted us having to lug our luggage up steep terrain to the hotel
Close to town beach
All off it loved my room and the breakfasts was amazing
All of it and the breakfast was amazing
Breakfast was nice
I had to state an exact time I had to come down for breakfast. Parking was a mile away, I had to pay a £20 cash deposit and then was told when I got there that I hadn't booked it. The room was too hot with no fan or air con. Not worth the money I paid
It was just metres from the beach The room was clean and quite comfortable Breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice
The stairs were very steep. The carpet needed a good clean. The en-suite bathroom was very small. Door to bathroom opened up onto bed Big window was right on main road. It was very noisy all night. Shower didn’t work very well, kept going hot and cold. Shower door didn’t close to. Sink plug kept getting stuck.
Good host,very friendly
Comfortable bed and good breakfest.
Steep stairs
Die Lage ist toll.
Das Personal hat sich nicht mit Namen vorgestellt, dafür mich angemacht ( nein ich möchte keine Massage). Und das Booking.com mit Rückfragen zu dieser Unterkunft extremst nervt.
Welcoming. Great location across the road from the beach. Quaint, clean & a perfect base to explore the beautiful area. The walk to the Swannery car park is adjacent to the beach front, go as far as the clock tower & follow that road down, past the Esso station to the bottom lights. Cross the road and that is the car park, plenty of spaces. Maybe 7 minute walk. Great breakfast. Thank you Oli for a lovely stay.
Nothing.
Direkt am Strand, leckeres Frühstück
Right on the sea front and close to high street and owner was lovely.
Road was noisy due to the heat and had to have window open. Stair area needs updating
Excellent location
Breakfast at a set time. Limited choice.
The location was one road from the sea and a short walk from harbour (15 min) bus stop just across the road with very frequent buses, all of which will take you to the harbour in a couple of minutes. our room was on second floor and although the decor is a bit dated the room was very clean (well done Ole) The TV was quite small but to be fair we only watched a bit of football as out most of time. The shower pressure is very light so might have to stay under the shower a bit longer to rinse hair but adequate. The breakfast was good cooked to order and served hot. there was also cereal although did not have any to save room for full English. (Would of had a bit of fruit though if on offer). but no worries as plenty of shops in town who sell fruit.
The noise from the road, it is the main traffic way into town and harbour, we did not sleep very well the first night. For second night, we purchased a small portable fan and then closed the window and had the battery operated fan going all night, as it was quite hot that weekend. Fruit at breakfast would have been a bonus but not a necessity
Pretty good situation, just over the road from the seafront promenade, and within walking distance of town centre.
Fronting on to main road with heavy traffic noise. I found it very difficult to sleep due to the traffic noise. There was secondary glazing, but the weather was so hot that it would have been equally intolerable to close the windows, so I'm unsure whether doing so would have significantly reduced the traffic noise. Other than that, the place was shabby, especially the communal stairways; the shared bathroom for room 6 was down a steep flight of stairs and was claustrophobic and shabby. The room itself was tired and poorly appointed. There was no plug in the wash basin and although there was a bedside table lamp, there was no convenient socket to plug it into !
On the sea front and our Superier room was a good size with 2 windows. Good shower pressure. Tea & Coffee making facilities which were topped up each day.
Our friends room was a Deluxe room was smaller than our room and other standard rooms and did not look like the photo's online. Their shower did not work correctly. The staff did not assist with any requests for a room change or a fan. There was a lot of road traffic noise but we could not close the windows due to the high temperatures.
My room was incredibly small, on the hottest day of the year you'd have wanted at least a through draft but, the window in the bedroom was tiny, the window in (lets call it a bathroom) was even smaller, both on the same side, it was like being in a blast furnace and there wasn't a fire escape
good location . nice and helpfull owner .Good breakfast great 2 night stay would defo rebook
nothing all great
Very clean and peaceful polite host
N/A
Host was very nice and left you to enjoy your holiday. But was helpful when needed .we were within walking distance of beach ,,shops and there was busstops opposite and all along the road Plenty of pibs and takeaways to eat out or local shops and supermarkets. Overall a great holiday shame about the weather.
Road noise was very bad .
Przestronny pokój, świetna lokalizacja, bardzo dobre śniadania i świetna obsługa. 😊
Trochę problemy z WiFi
Was easy going and felt like a comfortable place to stay
Only one moan but totally understand is the stairs. Manageable though
Peter was friendly room and bed was cold had bad nts sleep sat.
Cold room.
Die Lage
Treppenhaus und gemeinsame Badezimmer waren nicht sauber.
Die Unterkunft war sehr gut zu Fuß vom Bahnhof zu erreichen.
Oli couldnt help us enough. Lovely Room and Breakfast wax Freshly cooked and Outstanding. I would highly recommend Olivers Guest House. 5*****
Nothing
Located on the sea front road and a 10 minute stroll from the shops. Free overnight sea-front parking (6pm-8am) available, diagonally opposite about 300 yards away which is convenient for checking in if you arrive after 6pm as we did. Charges after 8am applied and are quite steep. Nice cooked breakfast, prompt and friendly service. Included orange juice and choice of tea or coffee. Cereals available if required. Decaf coffee available but not decaf tea. The shower performed well and the water came through with reasonable force and heat. Sachets of body wash was were available.
It’s an old victorian end terrace, tired in places, with very steep, tight staircases. The room was small with a very small en-suite and just a rail for clothing. Parking was free but located in the Swannery public car park, about half a mile’s walk away. You are given a card to place on your dashboard and need to pay a £20 deposit which is refunded on return of the carpark card. This means you have to return to the guesthouse to collect your deposit after you’ve collected your car, which is a challenge as there is no parking near the house. You just have to chance parking over the double-yellow lines right outside and be quick!
Host fantastic breakfast fabulous great location will be back 😊
Wasn’t a thing wrong
It was clean and welcoming
The stairs were steep and no smoking area
goo
bed
Sehr nah zum Bahnhof und zum Strand
Die Hauptstraße ist ziemlich laut...
Friendly, clean and excellent breakfast
Booking.com messed up room bookings but Oliver’s did their best to put it right. Don’t book room 5 or 6 unless you have any mobility problems.
Very good value for money clean and the staff were very friendly
Nothing
Lovely staff and flexible with Check in times Nice Location close to the Beach
We Stares in Room 3 which is on the second floor: very hot, no Fan and extreme Noise from the road when window is open
The location was ideal for exploring Weymouth. The bedroom was comfortable, we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked. Parking around the hotel is limited, however we reserved a parking permit in advance which was very helpful. Swannery parking is available nearby.
Nothing, everything was fine and we will definately return in the future.
The room was clean and so was the Bathroom Just around the corner to the beach The owner was very helpfull and welcoming.
The towels were threadbare and grey after so much washing they despretly need replacing, The shower facility was very high to get into so they had put a stool to get into shower so safety concern. No hand rail in shower or slip matt due to the hight of shower another safety concern . Nothing to rest your case on as in a case rest Small individual sachets of body wash which were hard to open would have been better to have a pump operated device in shower .
Location, staff member was excellent,
Had problem with TV reception
It was very clean , great location , great breakfast Friendly staff
excellent location really good brekky
the toilet doesn’t fully flush very small shower
A warm friendly welcome clean and comfortable room with good supply of tea coffee and milk plus shampoo and soap for my 4 day stay
My break went by to fast but no faults with Oliver's at all
Lovely English breakfast and very friendly owner.
Nothing
Oliver and the room plus Oliver's breakfast!
Nothing I didn't like
The location was superb very close to the beach. The owner was exceptional & the breakfast was amazing. I couldn't fault it at all
The bed wasn't really comfy & squeaked when you move & I couldn't move in the shower with it being very small
Nothing we did not like everything was ezceptiinal from location to room food xex Ellen stay will be booking again
Easy location for the town and free parking within a 10min walk ..
Nothing to dislike 👍
Location was good. Received a friendly welcome and breakfast was very nice.
Unfortunately, the permit parking is a 15 minute walk away and this was not made clear when I reserved the permit. We were unlucky to be there at the same time as some particularly noisy guests.
Very comfortable, quiet at night great night sleep!
Right on the seafront very close to town a positive stay
The stairs where very narrow but all in all a good stay
The whole place needs a deep clean will not be staying there again
The shared bathroom was disgusting so needs sorting the attic rooms also could do with some TLC
The friendly host who also cooked a lovely breakfast every morning and made sure we had everything we needed.
That our room was above a main road, constant traffic noise throughout the day and night, room needed more sound proofing.
The property is in a superb location and is up to date and spotlessly clean.
Didn't have one
Spotlessly clean comfy beds lovely room good size ensuite Perfect breakfast friendly owners /staff Local parking pass a bonus great location thank you
Good hospitality with sea view!
The owner was very polite & friendly, also cooked a perfect breakfast
The room was very small but perfectly clean & ok. Just too small for a couple. 4 flights of steep stairs to negotiate.
The location was good the owners were great and breakfast was amazing
The Breakfas was Excellent, The Host was a Pleasure to Befriend
