Property was barely even surface clean. Heater in corridor had the biggest layer of dust I have ever seen. The handle on the knife had split in various places and looked like it was from 1912. Cutlery and cups dirty.

Bedding and towels were clean. Breakfast was good and served well. Nice staff.

Not very clean. Bad, smoky smell throughout. Needs a big refurbishment. Looks better in photos on here than real life. Wouldn’t stay again.

Well equipped with all you need.They provide table and chairs as they have no dining room and breakfast is brought to your room.Lovely selection of biscuits and a smart coffee maker.Room overlooking the harbour.The owners were friendly and helpful.

The bedding was unironed so looked messy.The bathroom fan goes on every time you go in and stays on for several minutes after and is quite noisy.And the bathroom really needs a deep clean most especially the shower.

Had one of the double rooms. Lovely and comfortable. A nice wee table to have my breakfast at in the morning. The breakfast was lovely. You pick your breakfast options the night before of and the time you would like it delivered to your room. Was delivered bang on time! Kettle and a coffee machine in the room which is great. Also a great selection of biscuits.

Read a lot of comments to say things about the B&B in terms of it being tired and old and the shower not great. My shower was absolutely fine, good pressure, lovely and hot. Yes the place is a little 'tired' but the rooms are clean and tidy and for an overnight stay in Wick it was just fine. Would I stay again, yes I would.

The place smells of stale cigarette smoke when you walk in, reception area and stairs are all cluttered and could do with a good clean and hoover. Invoices with personal details are left on the unmanned desk. The single room has a bathroom across the hall which i hadn't realised from the details and although the room had been hoovered and thankfully didn't smell of smoke, the bathroom was not clean as the bath, toilet and floor all looked dirty. This property was inspected earlier in the year for food hygiene and i don't think any improvements have been attempted, to the point i almost didn't stay the second night but instead just refused breakfast for my second morning. I wouldn't stay here again.

My stay was excellent. Received help with my suitcase and a plug I had forgotten. Breakfast was very punctual and very good quality. Shower powerful, good coffee machine and very good quality biscuits.

While the property is located on the waterfront I came to Wick by train and left the same way. It’s a bit of a walk with a suitcase from the station to the stay.

There is an amazing view from the room and staff were welcoming and friendly.

The guest house is very old and worn and could be cleaner. I was concerned that they didn't honour the quote that I signed up for with booking.com. They said I didn't book in 2 adults only 1 so they charged me 25 pounds more. My printed and on-line booking said 2 adults, I thought this was unfair.

I got upgraded to a comfortable three-bed-room, a great bonus after a day's ride in the rain, allowing me to dry my soaked clothes. The landlady was very welcoming, she heated and served my supper, which I had brought along and the breakfast in the morning was gigantic, a full english breakfast, plus porridge, coffee, tea. The location is overlooking the harbour. I could park the motorcycle right in front of the entrance.

Guest house was very tired, unclean in places, the reception area full of wires and a stiff front door at first unable to get out of. Mish mash of decor, stains on the tray for cups, cobwebs, bathroom bin unemptied. Just uncomfortablr for £90. Breakfast brought to room.

It was tired, dirty & poorly maintained.. Expectations and standards have risen considerably in the last 30 years and, though no doubt well intentioned, the place was tired, jaded and dirty.

Wij verbleven hier op 7 juni 2026. Na het lezen van de reviews hadden we weinig verwachtingen, maar door de positieve reacties op Google en Booking.com hoopten we dat het mee zou vallen. Wij zijn absoluut niet veeleisend voor een overnachting van één nacht, maar dit was zonder twijfel het slechtste verblijf dat wij ooit hebben gehad. Voor alle Nederlanders die deze review tegenkomen: kijk verder. Geef die paar tientjes extra uit voor een schoner en beter verblijf, of sla dit dorp gewoon over. De kamer was helaas erg vies: haren in de douche, schimmel, tandpastavlekken op de spiegel en nog meer waar we niet eens over willen beginnen. Ook de keuze aan restaurants is zeer beperkt. Wij aten bij Riverhouse omdat dit het enige was dat open was. Achteraf hadden we beter zelf iets bij Tesco kunnen halen. Ons advies: rij door en overnacht ergens anders.

De B&B wordt gerund door een ouder echtpaar (al 20 jaar). Het uitzicht op de haven van Wick is leuk. Het ontbijt was prima (geserveerd op de kamer met een trolley ! )

De hygiene liet veel te wensen over ! Alles voorzien van een laag stof , smerige badkamer, smoezelige bedden, de watertank van het koffieapparaat was al een tijd niet schoongemaakt. Onze conclusie, de B&B vonden we eigenlijk in het beeld passen van het stadje.....de tijd heeft er stilgestaan !

The only positive thing was the view.

Entrance hall and stairs dirty needed a good hoover. Bedroom had dirty sheets wasn't clean. Bathroom filthy, rusty, mouldy,needs complete overhaul I wouldn't eat breakfast as everywhere felt dirty We booked 2 nights, stayed the one and went elsewhere. Would not recommend or go back

Hosts were really friendly and helpful, showed us directions into town and recommended places to eat. Breakfast was good, view from the room was lovely.

Some of the property seemed to be under renovation which made it feel a little untidy.

Second visit and I was upgraded to an ensuite room for free. Loved the place! Comfy bed, very generous selection of tea, coffee and biscuits and great breakfast that catered for veggies. The view from the bedroom was over the harbour. Staff very friendly and all for an amazing £52! Thank you.

Absolutely stinks of cigarette smoke. Owners were smoking in the hotel and it reeks. Thought it was illegal to smoke in an establishment now?!!

Very very dirty,from top to bottom,dust and cobwebs on wardrobe,lights, door frames,skirtings. Poorly decorated, the bathroom sink and toilet was clean however the shower cubicle had mold and grime all around the edges, and the sealant, bathroom floor had paint and all sorts of other dirt on it, there is definitely no attention to cleanliness or detail, the whole place smelt of cigarette and grease. We was worried about breakfast, and food was ok however didn’t wanna eat much as the trolly it arrived on was very dirty, lesson is basic cleaning and hygiene would benefit this b@b

Room on the chilly side, failed LED reading lamp, for us the 2 flights of narrow stairs were a challenge

The rooms were warm and beds comfortable. The biscuits were plentiful and tasty. The bedside power sockets were useful. The breakfast was ok.

The strong smell of stale / not so stale (!) nicotine smoke on the middle floor was unexpected and unacceptable. The rooms were dusty with cobwebs, the overall decor was very tired and outdated. The entrance hall was cluttered as was the middle floor. It would have been nice if the breakfast wasn’t taken in the bedrooms.

We had booked 3 double rooms and 1 single room. As soon as we entered the property and walked up the stairs we could all see the property needed a very good clean throughout. All 4 rooms were not up to the standards we expected and we had to find alternative accommodation. Photos were taken to give to booking.com if required. After reporting the property to booking.com the owner did refund us in full as we had requested. Stains on bed sheets and mattress protector. Dust everywhere. Mould in showers. Cobwebs behind toilet.

The actual room was very nice. Quirky but pleasant decor, a nice bathroom, great shower with hot water and a rainfall shower head. Breakfast was lovely and there's a good view of the harbour out the window.

The room was very clean and tidy and well appointed, but the entrance to the hotel, the stairways and landings etc are pretty tired and are in desperate need of a good deep clean and de-cluttering.

The location was good - great view, and not far from the railway station, Very handy for the excellent chip shop around the corner - and breakfast in the morning was exceptional, served piping hot.

The window could have been a little cleaner - but I appreciate that's going to be difficult with the North Sea a very short distance away....

The house needed some serious TLC. Our rooms although the bedding was clean, needed a through clean by specialists to get it back to some sort of acceptability. Breakfast was served on trays that had the last residents crumbs on it.
