Hotel Lago di Como

Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr schön. Die Lage - nahe zum See und nahe zu vielen Restaurants- war toll und das Frühstück war grandios! Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

This hotel ticks all the important boxes: a warm welcome, a clean room, reliable air con, and enough hot water to make you question your environmental credentials. Tucked away on a quiet side street, it offered a peaceful night's sleep, while the fantastic pizza provided an excellent excuse not to go anywhere else. Friendly, helpful staff and a family-friendly atmosphere make it a great choice for groups watching their budget.

The hotel got plenty right: friendly staff, clean rooms and enough hot water to wash a bicycle. Sadly, that bicycle cost me €5 a night to store in the garden, where the gate was then left open for much of the evening, making security feel rather theoretical. As a cyclist setting off before 7am, I also discovered that a fully laid breakfast buffet remains a strictly decorative feature until the official opening time. Add €2 bottles of water during a 30-40°C heatwave, coupled with advice not to drink the tap water, and hydration started feeling like a premium add-on. The evening buffet was certainly plentiful, although by Italian standards the flavours seemed to have taken an early checkout. Still, if you're looking for quantity, comfort and a few stories to tell afterwards, you'll leave satisfied.

La accoglienza è stata ottima, ci sono venuti incontro, perché siamo arrivati prima dell'orario del checkin e ci hanno fatto ingressare lo stesso, permettendoci di cambiarci e goderci la giornata al lago. La collazione è stata eccezionale: ricca e variegata! Lo staff è molto professionale e disponibile. Consiglio questo albergo, locato in centro di Colico. Ci torneremo!

Wir wurden freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen. Da wir das günstigste Zimmer hatten, war es natürlich preisentsprechend klein, ohne Ablegefläche - aber für eine Nacht i.O. Das Hotel liegt an zentraler Lage und zum Comersee nur ca. fünf Minuten. Das Frühstückbuffet war liebevoll angerichtet und es gab wirklich eine grosse Auswahl von süss bis salzig - ebenso Eierspeisen, Früchte, Antipasti, Kuchen etc.: für italienische Verhältnis sehr gut. Alle Mitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden das nächste Mal etwas mehr bezahlen und eine Klasse höher buchen. Sind jedoch sehr zufrieden und empfehlen dieses Hotel.

Betten waren - für uns - zu hart. Zimmer 213 war sehr klein und man lebt aus dem Koffer.

Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und gut, einfach extraordinär!

La cama no fue del todo cómoda, pero la habitación estupenda.

Die Lage und das Frühstück waren sehr gut. Auch das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Das Zimmer entsprach überhaupt nicht den abgebildeten Fotos und war sehr einfach und ungemütlich, wie ein Notraum für zusätzliche, ungeplante Gäste. Die Dusche war an der Duschabtrennung defekt und hatte Schimmel in den Fliesen Fugen.

Nel nostro bagno (una camera e bagno) lla doccia dovrebbe essere rifatta, purtroppo l'acqua usciva e bagnava tutto per terra!

Het was fijn dat we een kamer op de begane grond hadden en dat we een klein plekje in de tuin voor onszelf hadden.

Bij aankomst dacht ik dat er gepoetst was maar toen ik de toiletbril optilde was deze helemaal vuil.

A szobában nagyon erős vegyszerszag volt, ami szellőztetés után sem múlt el. A fürdőszobában otthagyott, bontott tusfürdő/ sampon volt, penészes volt a zuhanykabin.

Der nette Herr von der Wäscherei hat unsere E bikes am Strom angehängt.Sehr zuvorkommend auch die Rezeption.

נתקענו בעיר קוליקו והחלטנו מחוסר ברירה לישון במלון הזה למרות הדירוג הנמוך שלו. לאחר לילה במלון אני יכולה להעיד מכל הלב שהדירוג (7.6) לא הוגן - מגיע לו ציון הרבה יותר גבוה! המלון נמצא במרחק הליכה מתחנת הרכבת. מראה המלון מיושן ולא מטופח, הריהוט בחדר ישן והעיצוב לא עכשווי וכנראה זו הסיבה לדירוג הנמוך אבל מי שמחפש מקום נקי, מרווח, נוח, נעים עם צוות חייכני - וכל זה בתקציב סביר - המלון מומלץ בחום. ראויה לציון המקלחת הנהדרת - זרם חזק של מים חמים השכיח את על התלאות שעברנו בטיול.

Die Lage ist wirklich gut, alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist auch gut und reichlich, wenn etwas leer ist wird nachgelegt. Das Personal ist auch zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben dort ein sehr nettes englisches Paar kennengelernt, das war ein Pluspunkt.

Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist nicht sonderlich angenehm, wenig Platz vor dem Hotel (enge Gasse, Italien halt) und wenn man dann ausgeladen hat zeigt einem die nette Dame (keine Ironie, sie war wirklich nett) vom Empfang auf einer Karte verschiedene öffentliche Parkplätze. Wir fanden das erstens nicht so toll dass das Auto ein gutes Stück weg vom Hotel stehen sollte und zweitens war bei unserer Anreise anscheinend ein Schulfest (Schule nicht weit vom Hotel) und alles war voll-geparkt mit den Fahrzeugen der Eltern. Habe dann gute zwanzig Minuten gebraucht bis ich einen Parkplatz gefunden hatte. Das Zimmer war dann auch nicht so toll, alles schon etwas älter und wirklich nicht sehr sauber aber das Bad war dann das schlechteste, Duschwand defekt, Schimmel in der Dusche, keine Ablagen. Ich höre jetzt hier auf das macht keinen Spaß.

Located just a short walk from the Lake with a nice walk along the lakeside with a good selection of restaurants and great views. Free Breakfast was excellent with a good selection.

Das Personal, besonders die nette Dame an der Rezeption, war sehr freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Meine ursprünglich falsche Buchung wurde sehr professionell und unkompliziert korrigiert. Noch einmal vielen Dank für die Hilfe. Unser Wochenende wurde dadurch gerettet. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber. Die Klimaanlage war ein Segen. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Cappuccino und Espresso wurden auf Wunsch perfekt zubereitet. Die Lage war perfekt, nur ein paar Schritte zu den Lokalen an der Seepromenade. Der Bahnhof war in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das war jetzt unser 3. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und wir waren wieder sehr zufrieden.

Im grossen und Ganzen war alles ok, Dusche allerdings sehr renovierungsbedürftig, Schimmel in den Fugen, aussenherum gab es keine Dichtungsfuge, weswegen das Umfeld stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wurde, außerdem gab es über dem Bett sehr viele Staubwolken, und bei der Ankuft war niemand an der Reception, obwohl ich mehrmals energisch die Glocke betätige, kam erst nach knapp 10 Minuten eine jüngere Dame und fragte was ich den möchte, zudem ist die Parksituation sowie die Anfahrt vor dem Hotel mit einem PKW chaotisch

A causa di un errore nella prenotazione (camera disponibile e subito dopo non più disponibile) mi è stata spostata la prenotazione al.giono dopo, in meno di 2 minuti avevo già contattato la struttura, mi hanno scritto tramite WhatsApp che avrebbero risolto il problema, da allora li ho contattati via mail, telefono e WhatsApp senza avere risposta e senza avere rimborso. Comportamento molto scorretto e poco profeasionale

Friendly staff, nice breakfast. The shower also works well and does not make a mess with water like many modern showers do.

Clean room, very comfortable beds, good towels, very good breakfast and dinner!we had a comfort double room.

The food was quite repetitive. The beds was uncomfortable. The whole place is tired looking and needs updating definitely not a 4 star more like 2/3

The bed was bad. The mattress is worn out and you falling into the middle of the mattress all the time. Also I don't like so much electricity flowing near my head...there where do many switches and plugs by the top bed side. Nice would also be the possibility to park the car near the hotel

Faccio una recenzione negativa perchè dopo 5 min dalla prenotazione, mi arriva la conferma via mail e mi accorgo subito che avevo sbagliato la data, ammetto che non avevo scelto la soluzione rimborsabile, però passati appena 5 min dalla prenotazione, provo a richiedere il rimborso ma si avvalgono solo del fatto che non era rimborsabile, invece mi sarei aspettato di pagare un minimo di cauzione ma non l'intero importo e sicuramente von questo comportamento,lo cancellerò dalla lista dei prossimi pernottamenti..

We stayed at this very homely hotel in March with friends for 5 night on a half board basis. The hotel has had some poor reviews, but we found the staff to be helpful right from the outset, the rooms to be clean and comfortable and the food to be plentiful and tasty. What more could we want?!

Wonderful little hotel with charming staff. This is a quality hotel with conventional styles, an absolute bargain for what you get. Ideal location for the harbour, bars, shops and train station, loads of food choice, spacious room that's made up daily, great shower pressure,. This side of the lake is well served with trains north, so it's easy to include a trip up into the Swiss mountains. It's spectacularly beautiful area. The only cons we noticed were that - it's a couple of hours by train from Milan Malpensea airport. It's not difficult to book the train tickets and you don't need to validate the tickets seperately. It's a train into Milan and then another train out to Colico. - just watch when you are brought bottled water for the table as it costs 2.50 euros each time. Top Tips If you don't fancy what's on the menu, you can have any of the homemade pizzas from a long list instead. At breakfast, they will make you a fresh Americano/Espresso coffee if you don't like the coffee in the jug. It's the narrow 2 pin plugs that you will need. We'd fully recommend this hotel and would love to come back one day.

Great location in a beautiful village. The food was great. Were there half board and dinner was exceptional. The staff very friendly, especially Marianna, Fatima and Alessandro. Room was clean and a lovely Juliette balcony. Thank you to all at this lovely hotel for a wonderful stay.

Typical small Italian hotel. Good links to transport to visit other areas. Hotel staff were very friendly especially ladies on reception. Breakfast had plenty of choice and agree with other comments about pre-cooked food being cold for later arrivals at breakfast. Suggested they cook to order. Evening meal was plentiful but if you cannot find something to your liking try the many pizza on offer. Room was a little dated and towels could do with replacing. However room was serviced daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay Thank you

Lovely little hotel in a great location being a very short walk to the lake and the railway station but definitely not 4 star due to lack of facilities. Beautiful view from our bedroom window. Very clean and staff were lovely but no bar or lounge so nowhere to go after dinner. More like a B&B than a hotel. Unfortunately, breakfast was always cold and dinner boring and repetitive.

The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. Check in and out with no problem. It efficient service. The staff is an asset to this hotel. Location is very good. Walking distance to the pier and train station. The rooms are tired and updated. Limited facilities. Cobwebs everything, dirty floor, towels with holes. The soap or toilet paper were left not replaced after previous customer. The corridors carpet dirty. The walls need some painting. Breakfast cold. Fried eggs, sausages out for hours. Who eats cold eggs? The dinner food were not tasty. It was a good selection of food. Just very poor:not salty or too salty. Overall experience poor. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Het ontbijt was oké en de badkamer was lekker groot. Fijne locatie midden in het centrum van Colico en dichtbij het treinstation.

Qua kwaliteit echt geen 4-sterren hotel, echt te duur voor wat je krijgt. Het was er erg gehorig, we konden praktisch meeluisteren met de gesprekken van de personen in de kamer naast ons en de mensen op de gang. Het interieur was behoorlijk gedateerd. De voegen van de douche mochten wel een keer schoongemaakt worden en het leek niet of er onder de bedden was schoongemaakt.
