The staff were fantastic, from check-in to check-out. I have some food restrictions & they did their best to provide me with good food. The view of Lake Taal & volcano was amazing.
The staff were nice & location great
The room was more dated then I expected & the bed not super comfortable
Big grounds to go around
The view of Taal volcano.
None
Spacious and clean room
No complimentary drinking water
The accessibility to stores, restaurants and amusement park.
Pool is not heated.
I was put on the room on the west wing which is the only way to get to your room was to cross 2 building which is at that time it was raining tagaytay! I have to request to transfer me to the east building after big big talk.
The front staff they should more of understanding with the request.
Clean Rooms & delicious breakfast & staff are all nice
Slippery floors
Great location, staff and breakfast.
Outdated room and TV. Old bed and smell. Needs complete renovation.
Nice and convenient.. Excellent service
Our stay and accommodation is good however the internet connection is very lousy, cannot connect to the net at all.
I had a wonderful stay at Taal Vista Hotel, and what stood out most was how seamless the entire experience felt from arrival to checkout. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with the staff handling everything efficiently while still making us feel well looked after. The Lake Wing room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage, power outlets, strong Wi-Fi, and a balcony overlooking Taal Volcano Island. Waking up to the sunrise from the balcony was easily one of my favorite moments of the stay. The hotel complex itself is also a highlight. There are plenty of open spaces, gardens, walking areas, and quiet corners where you can simply sit and enjoy the cool Tagaytay air and of course, Taal Volcano Island. Dining was another memorable part of the stay. I enjoyed a great steak at TAZA, while the weekend dining experience at Veranda was made even better by the cultural performances during lunch buffet. For relaxation, Rain Spa was a standout. The spacious treatment area, aromatherapy, and relaxing massage made it easy to switch off after a full day. I highly recommend requesting Ms. Belle if she's available. What I appreciated most, though, was the thoughtful care from the staff throughout the stay. From check-in, dining, and spa service to the little details in the room and assistance before checkout, there was a consistent sense that the team genuinely cared about the guest experience. Taal Vista Hotel gave me the kind of staycation where you don't feel rushed to leave the property. Great views, spacious surroundings, good food, a relaxing spa, comfortable rooms, and attentive service all came together for a memorable Tagaytay escape. I would happily stay here again. Kudos, Taal Vista team!!!
The location
The room
Food was good and the view in front.
We were given a room at the back that was behind the actual hotel. Our building was a shabby looking building that looked more like a run down hostel than a hotel. Our sink had black molds and our shower area also had black molds. Our room was old. The bed and air conditioning was comfortable but that’s it. Everything was old.
location and view
ridge room, lack of facility
We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Ann, Ethel and Roll provided great sevice. We also enjoyed the 3-man band who played during lunch. Enjoyable visit!
Access cards were deactivated even a day prior checkout. Even after reconfiguring the access card, it still didn't work!!!! This is frustrating!!!
Si Frederick a dining staff is very accomodating and friendly. Food is excellent and ambiance is very relaxing.
Wonderful experience. Upgraded our room with a balcony overlooking the famous Taal volcano. Spacious room, huge bathroom, clean . Excellent customer service . Special thanks to Ann and our porter Nikko. Who are gracious , friendly and accommodating. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate your request . Complimentary breakfasts . Like the champorado , good ,strong coffee. They also have egg station . My suggestion if they can also serve the famous Taho. Which I’m Looking forward to taste. Also, I like their fresh bibingka which unfortunately serve only on weekends. Overall, we have a wonderful stay at Taal Vista Hotel, highly recommended if you’re visiting Tagaytay
I would like to commend Sir Ryan and Sir Fred for their excellent assistance during our lunch at veranda. They were attentive, accommodating and professional. Thanks, Ryan and Fred!
It was a great place to stay. The staff are very helpful and accomodating, esp Ms. Aira at the reception area.
Pay for premium, settle for budget hotel. Need maintenance all over. Bed sheets smells heavy bleach just like hourly budget hotel. Shower drain doesn’t work well. Bathroom sink has black mold. Aircon needs cleaning you can see the dark mold on it. Breakfast is a joke. Having history and legacy doesn’t entitle you or excuse you for having outdated and poorly maintained rooms. I would like to also mention the woman at the front desk was very not friendly while checking out. Do better, meanwhile everyone else should go where they will get their moneys worth.
We had a bit of a disappointing stay at Taal Vista Hotel. When we booked the Premier Lake View room, we were told it would come with a bathtub for the kids, but that wasn't the case. During check-in, they also mentioned that access to SkyRanch was free, but when we actually asked for the passes, we were told we had to pay ₱100 each. On the bright side, breakfast at Veranda was great. Big thanks to Frederick Dimailig, who was incredibly accommodating and took great care of us during our meal!
The location is incredible - the view of the volcano is extraordinary. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious & nice. There is a small theme park next door too.
There aren’t many local food options without a car. The hotel’s food is acceptable, but choices are limited. There is almost no veggie food & they don’t serve (any) wine - only spirits or sweet cocktails, which was a bit sad at dinner. Finally, the pool is far, far away. We had to walk around a wedding party to access it (the bride was very beautiful though!)
Great Atmosphere, Great Food and Service, the waiters are always welcoming and responsive.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Taal Vista. The food was great, and all the servers were friendly and attentive. Kuya in the grilling area, Kuya in the pasta area, and Ate in the dessert section were nice too. But Ate Ethel was extra nice and made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
The location is perfect, especially coming from USA
The furniture and bed are old, i have to call for refrigerator service, it was not working
A very lovely and lively environment to start the day with!
the breakfast is good as well the view outside the room
we checked in too late so we were not able to enjoy the facilities fully.
The view and the peaceful ambience.
I wasn’t given a bday cake :(, kidding, nothing.
good customer service, we were assisted very well since we were out with 5 seniors Thanks to Ann, Emerald,Aljun, Ethel!
Great place beautiful music by the trio food is good also though I liked the flowery design of the dining sofas before, compared to the new one
We live in tagaytay. This feels like home. There’s something about Taal Vista Hotel that always feels like coming home. It has that nostalgic charm that’s hard to find, and we keep coming back because it’s just so comfortable and familiar. The lobby bar is still our favorite in Tagaytay. Their cocktails are consistently excellent—especially the Manhattan. For food, we almost always order the burger and chicken nuggets, and this time we also tried the calamari and wedge salad, which were both delicious. A special thanks to Raymark and Arjay, who were wonderful hosts throughout the evening. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Another lovely stay—we’ll definitely be back.
Food Good Meat cooked Pasta fried
We have a great stay, the restaurant staff were very accomodating (Ann, Emerald, Aljun, Ethel). We really enjoy the morning serenade which our Mom loved. Kudos to you guys.
Our stay at Taal Vista Hotel was wonderful from start to finish. The hotel offers breathtaking views, comfortable rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere that made our trip even more memorable. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. We would also like to give special recognition to Dian Joy, who assisted us during the breakfast buffet. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed with a genuine smile. Her excellent customer service and positive attitude truly stood out and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
I like mostly how welcoming the staff were. They were all having a smiling faces whenever I see them. The facility was also nice, overlooking to the Taal volcano. Me and my family enjoyed a lot and I could say one of the best places ever I've been.
All went well.
The service was excellent and the ambiance of the location is serene. We felt welcome during our stay. My experience at alta ridge is notable and pleasant as the bartender Mr. Rjay was approachable and kind enough to cater to my needs as well as informative to my inqueries.
The view is so good! The rooms are so modern and clean. The staff is so kind, attentive, and proactive! The kind that makes your day :) Specific thanks to JERVY, one of the staff in the breakfast buffet. He was very attentive to our needs and catered to our special requests with food. So kind and sweet too! Thank you so much 😊
Wonderful experience with staff and cleanliness. Thank you to our server during breakfast, Ann, for your kindness and patience.
Location of the room is nice sighting of taal volcano The room is good as well very clean but we are been awaken by the workers who are working along the corridor. The restaurant is clean nd staff are accommodative specially jerby. His always attentive to your needs. For sure we will come back for the beautiful view 😍
Stay away from this hotel.. overhyped and expensive.. Staff is not accomodating, too much mosquito.. food is not good.. and only 2 persons free per room.. not good value for money.. better stay in other hotel..
The view of Taal volcano
The cost. The breakfast is so so.
Love the staff, the view and the breakfast
We were at the basement which we didn't know ridge room was at basement The way to the basement was like hilly inside. Not comfortable specially if your PWD The water in the shower get stock and very slow drainage
I admire how attentive and warm the F&B team was, how the FO team kindly offered a discounted upgrade ( though i declined the offer ) and how well you accommodated our welcome note request and small cake for our July celebrant,we'll definitely come back, just for Taal View next time instead of Mountain View.
I do have a few points of feedback I felt were worth raising: 1. Directions to the room: We had a hard time finding our room and got lost ,we only later discovered there was an entry pass near the pool. It would help if a staff member could guide guests or provide clearer directions to their rooms. 2. Room condition (Mountain View): I've stayed at your Taal Lake View rooms before and they were superb. This was my first time in a Mountain View room, and I was a bit disappointed ,the bed felt quite old; despite the clean white linens, you could really feel the springs underneath. It was surprising to experience that at Taal Vista. 3. Door lock: The room didn't have an additional manual lock (the kind that prevents the door from being opened easily from outside). 4. Room scent: When we entered the room, it had a slightly musty/old smell. A light hotel scent would have made a nice difference. 5. Food storage request: We stayed 3 nights/4 days. On our second day, I asked the Front Office if the kitchen could hold our leftover, almost-untouched food in their freezer until check-out, since the in-room fridge wasn't cooling properly. Unfortunately, this wasn't accommodated, and we ended up having to throw the food away. It would be appreciated if this kind of request could be accommodated in the future, even with a waiver or indemnity form for guests who prefer that option. 6. Make-up room service: I requested a make-up room by placing the card on our door knob on day 2, as we had a busy schedule and left some scattered papers in the room. When we returned, the papers were exactly where we'd left them, only the bed and bathroom amenities had been changed. I wasn't sure if this is your standard for make-up room service, but it was unexpected.
big land. good to walk around.
kif hou stay in the Lake Wing, its a long way to reception.
The location was amazing and the outdoor areas overlooking the lake were fantastic. Cannot describe how awesome the view was. The restaurant staff were friendly.
We 'upgraded' our room to the newly renovated lake view wing and unfortunately there were many dodgy things in iur room. Electrical socket hanging off the wall, exposed wiring and the smell in the bathroom (possibly glue of some sort). I think we caught the reception staff member on a bad day, it appeared as if he did not want to be there nor helpful and didn't really care whether or not we upgraded our room after he had offered.
Clean
Boring
The location of our room is perfect, but we have to pay extra. The staff and breakfast are great.
Initial location of the room is not good. there is no view of the volcano. We have to pay extra to have a perfect view.
Bathroom needs to be remodeled due to safety issues. No proper drainage: water from shower flows into the whole bathroom floor making it wet and slippery after showering which is unsafe especially if you have kids and elderly around.
The location and the breathtaking view surrounding the hotel
Bathrobe were not in the room. No coffee as well.
Lovely
Spacious
I like how the staffed welcomed us, they were so accommodating, and the view of the taal volcano was stunning.
I didn't like the fact that they gave our room to another person, when we arrived at the room on the screen was flashed another persons name, i tried telling the reception but we were given the wrong room but the lady told us it was just a system error, then when we arrived the day after at the buffet breakfast we told the staff our room number, and they called us "Ms. Lacibal" which was the name flased on the screen, there too many ants on the floor and it was was always dirty like it was never mopped, the other morning when i switched on the tv another name was flashed on the screen "Mr. Mabilangan". We never felt welcome inside the room. We were welcomed by the flying ants though.
Breakfast view and the food itself.
telephone in the room did not function and there was no instruction about the wifi and password.
Great place to stay. Wonderful view of the volcano. Welcoming staff. Delicious food. Clean and comfortable room rooms. Would stay here again and definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you so a memorable stay.
We stayed last June 25 in a superior room (305).. the room was clean and cozy. The entire hotel has a fantastic view of Taal Volcano. The staffs were very approachable and welcoming especially to Nikko and Fahad for their exceptional service from the moment we stepped inside the hotel to checking out. These two deserves to be commended for a job well done. Thank you Taal Vista! We will definitely come back soon! 🥰
Service is great and fast. Very attentive
The location is awesome. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They give you a sense of belongingness, with those wonderful smiles. The staff are hardworking, Fred and the rest of the Veranda crew are awesome. Thanks for making our stay a memory unforgettable.
Nice place to relax.
I did not like the people in the lobby, the roving guards, the guards by the door going to the lake side and to dahlia function room, some bell boys. They see you having difficulty carrying your luggage and other stuff but they will not offer to lend you a hand. Every time they see me they ask you need help but will make you wait by calling for someone else to help you.
The quality of service fell short of your hotel’s reputation.
The food
The rooms are so outdated and not so clean
Prime location and very friendly staff
None
We really love the quality of the food here.
