Que no me dieron la oportunidad de ir a ver los tiburones y el tiburón ballena, porque decían que no habían suficientes personas para hacer esta excursión y me he ido de las Maldivas quedándome con las ganas.

Wir waren nun bereits zum zweiten Mal im Dusit Thani Maldives und würden definitiv wiederkommen. 🌴 Wir hatten eine Beach Villa mit eigenem Pool und waren besonders davon begeistert, wie gepflegt und hochwertig alles war. Vor allem die Außenmöbel wirkten komplett neu, waren sehr bequem und die gesamte Villa war immer sehr sauber. Gereinigt wurde zweimal täglich. Auch kulinarisch hat uns die Insel sehr gut gefallen. Eine absolute Empfehlung ist das vegane Restaurant – unbedingt möglichst am Anfang des Urlaubs ausprobieren, denn wir hätten danach am liebsten direkt noch einmal dort gegessen. Auch das thailändische Restaurant Baan Ya Rong hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Was uns persönlich weiterhin etwas fehlt, ist ein richtig gutes Steak- bzw. Fleischrestaurant. Das wussten wir allerdings bereits von unserem letzten Aufenthalt. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an unseren persönlichen Butler Nan, der während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts immer erreichbar, unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit war. ❤️ Etwas schade fanden wir die Regelung bei einigen Ausflügen. Ich hatte mich besonders auf das Schnorcheln mit Haien gefreut und bin unter anderem deshalb noch einmal in dieses Resort gekommen. Leider konnten mehrere Aktivitäten nicht stattfinden, weil mindestens vier Teilnehmer benötigt werden. Gerade wenn man sich auf eine bestimmte Aktivität besonders freut, ist das natürlich enttäuschend. Dafür können wir den Spa-Bereich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Unsere Massagen waren wirklich hervorragend – besonders Chompo können wir sehr empfehlen. Man sollte allerdings die zusätzlichen Kosten im Blick behalten: Bei vielen angegebenen Preisen kommen Steuern und Servicegebühren noch hinzu. Eine Massage für zwei Personen kann dadurch schnell über 400 US-Dollar kosten. Für uns war sie das trotzdem absolut wert.

(Oben gab es keinen Platz mehr) Die gesamte Insel ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt angelegt, mit traumhaften Palmen und Gärten. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchweg sehr freundlich. Tennis kann kostenlos gespielt werden und inzwischen gibt es auch einen neuen Padel-Court, der allerdings zusätzlich berechnet wird (bei uns ca. 40 € pro Stunde). Generell sollte man bei zusätzlichen Aktivitäten, Spa-Behandlungen etc. beachten, dass die zunächst angegebenen Preise häufig nicht den tatsächlichen Endpreisen entsprechen. Durch Steuern und Servicegebühren kommt noch einmal einiges hinzu – grob sollte man mit etwa 20 % zusätzlich rechnen. Alles in allem ist das Dusit Thani Maldives für uns definitiv eine Reise wert. Eine wunderschöne Insel, sehr guter Service, tolle Restaurants und ein Spa, das man unbedingt ausprobieren sollte. 🌴🐠

There is always hesitation in going back to a place and it falling short of the memories, but our second time at this resort was just as amazing as we remembered. We were invited on two trips at the start of our stay: a visit to a nearby sandbank where drinks were provided on arrival and a sunset cruise. Both were spectacular. All the staff are so kind, professional and provide a simply outstanding service. The cleaning service in the rooms was great and they did a wonderful job. At the Sand Bar, we always felt so welcomed and they knew exactly what we wanted before we did. For example, something so simple as wanting a towel to put on the table to play card games in the evening. Asked for one once and then every evening we got one. The Sea Grill food at the Sand Bar at lunch is also a big highlight. The Benjarong I think was one of the biggest reasons to come back! The food is absolutely amazing and we have never been disappointed. And, of course, the staff are just perfect. The Sala Bar’s vegan menu was so wonderful, and the cocktails were just perfect with amazing recommendations from the staff. You would think you would get bored on a 700m long island, but it is the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. The house reef is absolutely beautiful and perfect for snorkelling, filled with turtles, reef sharks, octopuses, eels, scorpion fish, rays and so many more. The dive centre is also amazing. This time, we came a little earlier in the year than before so it was harder to see the whale sharks, but the we got a call in the evening during dinner and rushed out to join the boat. Needless to say, the time and effort they put in to help us explore the wildlife in an amazing and respectful way was brilliant. For my family, cycling around the island is a simple yet prominent reason we love Dusit Thani. A simple addition to our previous visit was the pool table, table-tennis, table football, etc, that just added a great element. I would like to say a special thank you to Anas, Ahmed and Atta who made our trip even better. Anas was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, from a bike fixed in record time, helping surprise my parents for their wedding anniversary and so much more. Ahmed remembered us from last time we came and was as amazing as we remembered and made every breakfast morning memorable. Atta is an amazing chef and so kind, especially with the most amazing pancakes in all different shapes! Whale sharks, bats, manta rays, etc. He brought a smile to my families’ faces every morning. And a big thank you to Jean-Louis who greeted us everyday and made us feel so welcome. We all definitely hope to come back soon <3

Incredible experience. From the ambience to the food to the activities, everything was way better than we thought. Being able to snorkel at our own convenience was so fun; the house reef has lots of fishes and we even sighted a small shark. Our butler Danil made everything even smoother. Everything was truly amazing and we all had a wonderful most memorable time. It’s a very beautiful Island down to the smallest detail. April our dedicated Butler was always available and like Genie in a bottle fulfilled all our wishes and helped us enjoy more. Every Staff in the many restaurants and bars was professional, attentive and very friendly. I was also impressed with the professionalism of our dive instructors Rose and Xuebao who made us feel safe underwater.

We just returned from a fantastic holiday at Dusit Thani Maldives. Long story short….just go, it really can’t go wrong. This was our 7th visit to the Maldives all of which have been exquisite, and this one did not come short in any way, on the contrary. It was our first time in Baa atoll. Hopefully it won’t be the last. Baa atoll proved as fantastic as we had hoped for. Villas As we were 5 adults, we had booked two Beach Front Pool Villas. Villas were average Maldivian standard. They were not brand new, but convenient and clean. Bed was excellent and housekeeping came by twice a day with new bed sheets every other day. Mini bar contained the usual items - it was all good. Food We had booked the Pure Indulgence plan. It was pricy as these packages always are in the Maldives, but in our view, worth it. The restaurants are very, very good. Locations are excellent by the ocean, menus Are varied, and quality of food cannot be higher. The wines included in the PI are OK, but sometimes served a bit too warm, but nothing a bucket of ice couldn’t fix. And staff was always very helpful.The morning buffet was very good with egg stations, pancakes, fruit station etc. Absolutely in line with what you should expect from a 5 star resort. Diving and snorkling The resort has maybe the best house reef we have had in the Maldives. It is outstanding!!. On any given day, you will see sharks (nurse and reef), turtles, eagle rays and tons of fish. We lucked out and saw dolphins right in front of the villa, and my son managed to snorkel out and see them in the ocean. We preferred to snorkel from our villa (302) and then anticlockwise. However, the current can be quite tough. My husband and our three adults did a lot of scuba diving and had many amazing dives with the Ocean Dive Centre. Baa is the home of mantas and whale sharks. The dive center arranges trips to Hanifaru Bay every time mantas or whale sharks are spotted. Be ready to grap your snorkelling gear in a jiffy and run to the boat. NOTHING beats being in the water with these marvellous animals. The trips are generally tough on the pocket, but going to Baa and missing out on seeing these creatures would be such a shame. Service and convenience - the resort offers a butler service as do many other Maldivian resorts. We have never really made any use of the butler. This time was different and I think the reason was that our butler, Azim, was so easy to get in touch with. Upon our arrival, Azim took us around the island and helped us getting settled in the villas. We established a Whatsapp-group with him and all of us, and we used that chat group to communicate with him. It was extremely convenient. If we had something we needed help with, we wrote to Azim on WhatsApp and he got back to us very quickly. Whether it be housekeeping, dinner reservations, excursions etc., we could direct it to Azim. That was a real luxury, and I am still trying to figure out, how to handle my everyday live without Azim 😆. Many reviews have mentioned the incredible staff at Dusit Thani and I can only echo what others have said: The people at DT deliver a service and show a level of hospitality that is nothing less than outstanding. We felt so extremely welcome everywhere we went. I do get that for them it’s a job, but as a guest, you almost forget because of their sincerity. They are ALL incredible and a big thanks to all of them. However, I do want to mention some of them: - Alex (Market) greeted us every morning in the most welcoming manner, served me one of Atta’s manta pancakes on my birthday with a birthday song and also made time to come and say goodbye - Mai (Market) worked every morning, every evening, and always with the biggest smile - Prashanth (Market) made us I don’t know how many omelets and fried eggs, always to perfection - Dinuka (Market) thanks for preparing such delicious food with the biggest smile - we loved your soup - Atta (Market) the king of pancakes and to some extent partly responsible for us having to go on a diet now, always going the extra mile to provide the best experience for us - Rabeeu and Raveesha (Sea Grill) exceptionally hospitable and doing their utmost to provide top service - James and Pande (Benjarong) servicing us in the most pleasant manner and experts at making us feel welcome - Obbs (Benjarong) who played a big part in making my birthday dinner one of the most memorable ever - I am extremely grateful - Amilla (Sala) introduced us to exceptionally delicious vegan food, did everything he could to make our visit to Sala enjoyable and suggested a hot pot dinner on my birthday in a setting that was unbelievable. He decorated the pavillon beautifully and we were all stunned and touched by his efforts. A host in a league of his own! - Azim - our fantastic butler who was never more than 5 minutes away and who fixed everything in a very efficient manner. All questions were answered, all problems were solved and all requests accommodated. - And last - but certainly not least - Majeed, who waited on us at the Market, and who personally decorated our dining table with beautiful flowers and “napkin art” on the last day before he had to leave for a well deserved holiday with his family. We felt spoilt by all of the DT team - a huge thanks to all of them. In conclusion, if you need to be pampered on a luxury holiday, go to Dusit Thani!

Resort is close to manta ray sites. The island itself is convenient for reef snorkling, especially close to Benjarong area. Sala bar provides nice sunset views, where Bawaa barman makes exceptional cocktails. Many thanks to Daniil and other guys who provide excellent service. My suggestion is to order a cheese lobster that is offered for affordable price

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary earlier this month and we had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, modern and luxurious and all of the staff throughout the resort were amazing, friendly and so attentive. Azim, our butler, was great and always responded very quickly to any questions we had and helped us book excursions, dinner reservations and spa treatments. The house reef was rich in marine life and we were lucky to see turtles, rays and nurse sharks. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will be back.

Nine times in the Maldives, three times at Dusit Thani — and we're still not done It might sound boring to return three times to an island only 700 meters long. It's not. Let me tell you what you have to do at least once here: Swim around the island. It's 2.4 km — do it in a rough hour for exercise, or take three hours if you get carried away by turtles and endless fish. Run or cycle the 1.4 km trail. Take 6 minutes or take 30 — your choice. Order any drink at the Sala Bar — they know better than you what you want anyway. Same at Benjarong: order anything, they know what to do. But seriously: the quality of everything on this island — for me one of the most beautiful spots on earth — stands out. The managers of every outlet, whether The Market, the grill, Benjarong, Sand Bar or Sala Bar, and every single person working there, are as exceptional as the food and drinks. If you are chasing perfection: here you go. Each day starts with an excellent breakfast (the pancakes are stunning) and ends with a sundowner and a wonderful dinner — and everything in between is pure fun. We can't name everyone, but we value your dedication. Our evenings at the Sala Bar with Bawah and Amila will never be forgotten. ...and so we'll have to return a fourth time, still surprised by what you can do on a 700-meter island.

The setting of the island is purposely made for guest to enjoy the serenity of the place. And everything unfolds beautifully. Thanks to our butler Yassir, all issues and constraints vanished for a week. The level of service everywhere, from the spa to the restaurants and diving center is outstanding. I cannot find any disappointment worth mentioning. Kindness and attention to details were particularly striking. A week in paradise.

My partner and I just spent our honeymoon at Dusit Thani Maldives from July 6th to 11th, 2026, and honestly, we are still dreaming about it. The island itself is absolutely breathtaking, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was the incredible team. The warmth and hospitality we experienced here completely blew us away. Right from the start, our amazing butler Saleem was an absolute lifesaver. He literally ran to help us with everything, anticipated our every need, and solved any little detail instantly. He made us feel so pampered and looked after. The dining experiences were just as magical. At Sala Restaurant, Amila gave us the best recommendations and made us feel so welcome with such friendly conversations. Over at Sea Grill, Irfan looked after us with immense care and kindness, making our dinners truly special. And we still can't get over the magnificent Thai food and the wonderful hospitality from the whole team at Benjarong! Every morning started perfectly thanks to the breakfast team at The Market, who fulfilled our every single request flawlessly and instantly. During the day, Laura at the Activity Center helped us organize the best tours, making all our adventures super smooth and exciting. Even returning to our room was a joy, he was so incredibly polite and kept everything completely spotless and flawless. In the evenings, the fantastic team at the Sand Bar gave us magnificent service and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon celebrations feel so special. We met so many wonderful people during our short stay that we unfortunately couldn’t catch everyone's individual names, but to the entire team working between July 6th and 11th—including those whose names we might have missed—please know that your kindness and exceptional service truly made our hearts melt. Our stay at Dusit Thani was oustanding. Everything was perfect for us. We’ve had a plunge pool beach villa and it was the perfect choice. For those with kids it is the best villa for swimming. Our butler was Danil and he was great. Everything we needed he helped us to get. He even filmed us leaving the island with the hydroplane and send it by wapp. He helped us with every trip and he was sending us daily activities. Just asked and he helped us. The restaurants were wonderful with great food. Irfan at the Sea Grill and Kooty at The Market were great. They were very polite and they were smiling all the time, giving us advices about the food, sharing with us their culture and preparing us special tables on our last day. The dive center is great and the equipment is well mantained. Everybody there was very friendly. The reef is incredible, the island has many palm trees and it is very clean everywhere. It was the perfect holiday for us and we would like to come again here.

We had a ocean view 2 bdrm villa 201. Azim was our butler thru the 4 days. Everything was perfect. Asked and we got. The dive centre was amazing, very helpful and equipment well maintained. There is a constant attempt to respect and preserve the environment which is much appreciated. Hope to come back one day.

The room is just perfect for the luxury holidays. The bed is so comfortable and the room is timely and nicely cleaned. Love the spray they offered to defend the mosquitos and the after sun jel. You can even see the cute baby shark in the water villa. Besides the food and cocktails options are so amazing. Thai food is the best. You must try every dish on the menu. The staff are always so hospitable and give you the best advice. Many thanks and love!

We loved everything. The staff was great and very polite, the food was nice in all the restaurants. Our waterfront bungalow was amazing as was the whole island. Even at the end of our stay we still didn't get used to how pretty it is. We especially liked that the diving was so relaxing, you jump on the boat in the morning, see some great dive spots and jump off the boat around noon. The team takes care of your equipment, the dive boat is extremely clean, you get a fresh, dry towel after every dive and even the log book is done and printed for you after your last dive. Normally I love diving but find the prep around it a bit stressful but at dusit thani you don't need to worry about a thing! We really hope to go back one day

I chose Dusit Thani Hotel because of its renowned Thai cuisine, but during my stay, all the staff were incredibly lovely and provided excellent service, from the gardeners to the management. Especially the butler, Danil, who took exceptional care of us and always arrived before our scheduled time – truly outstanding! Khun Pu and Khun James at the Thai restaurant, as well as the beautiful staff at The Market, were all very cheerful and attentive.

We had an amazing honeymoon stay at Dusit Thani Maldives and would definitely rate it 5 stars. The resort exceeded all of our expectations. The facilities are excellent, the restaurants offer great food with plenty of variety, and there are many activities available throughout the stay. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A special thank you to our butler, Anas, who assisted us with everything we needed and made our stay smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We would also like to thank the diving team, especially Arsan and Yousuf, who accompanied us during our dives and helped make the experience unforgettable. We were fortunate enough to see the region’s famous manta rays, which was one of the highlights of our trip. During our stay, we completed seven dives in total, in addition to several snorkeling sessions, and every experience was fantastic. Our only small remark concerns the pricing of activities, which we found to be quite expensive. However, this seems to be common across most resorts in the Maldives and is not something unique to this property. For future guests, we highly recommend booking the Pure Indulgence all-inclusive package. It allows you to fully enjoy your vacation without worrying about additional costs for food and beverages throughout your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly recommend Dusit Thani Maldives to anyone looking for an unforgettable Maldivian getaway.

Our family stay at Dusit Thani Maldives was fabulous, exactly what we have come to expect from the Dusit brand since our first stay with them in 2007. Coming back to this trip, the house reef lived up to the hype, snorkeling gear provided by the dive center was in pristine condition (they even had a little life vest for the three-year-old in our group so she could have some fun in the water with us). There were 6 of us and the two-bedroom overwater villa was a delight to be in. Very spacious, well decorated and latest tv/music system added to the experience. Danil - our butler - was exceptional. Always on the job, incredibly professional and polite. The resort staff members were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property.

The reason is actually very simple: we were about to celebrate our 10th anniversary together, and while deciding where to travel, we realized we wanted to return to the place that had given us the most beautiful memories over the past decade of traveling together. Yes — return. Ten years ago, we spent our honeymoon here at Dusit Thani Maldives, and throughout all these years we have remembered this island with the warmest feelings imaginable. We simply had to come back and see whether it was really as magical as we remembered… whether it was still that special place where you feel completely happy and at peace. The decision was unanimous, and we booked our trip. From the very moment you arrive at the airport, you already feel that you are genuinely welcomed and expected. A lovely hotel representative greeted us upon arrival and escorted us to the Dusit Thani lounge, where we could refresh ourselves after a long journey, relax in a peaceful atmosphere, and enjoy some food while waiting for our seaplane transfer. After one final short flight — already our third flight of the trip — our seaplane docked at the resort jetty, where we were welcomed by the hotel management team and familiar faces from the staff. We attended a Tibetan singing bowls meditation session and started some mornings with energetic Tabata workouts led by a fantastic trainer whose name, unfortunately, I cannot remember. We were also very happy to discover excellent tennis courts and a padel court with a hard surface, as tennis has recently become an important part of our family life. Thank you to the resort for giving us the opportunity to play whenever we wanted. And finally — last in order, but certainly not least in importance — was the unforgettable invitation from the resort management to a private sandbank event in the middle of the ocean. The resort organized an incredible evening with cocktails, delicious food, music, and wonderful company on a stunning white sandbank surrounded by turquoise water. Children were playing in the waves and enjoying the sun, while the adults relaxed, talked, and enjoyed every moment together. These are exactly the kinds of memories that stay with you forever and later become some of the happiest moments of your life. We truly wished this vacation would never end. And now, sitting on the airplane and looking down at this paradise island from above, we already know one thing for certain: we will absolutely come back again. Thank you, dear Dusit Thani Maldives, for welcoming us home so warmly.

Dusit Thani in the Maldives is definitely a place to go to relax and spend great time, especially for a couple. Set on a beautiful island surrounded by a lush and rich reef full of life, sharks, fish, stingrays, and turtles, it is one of the most amazing and accessible snorkelling experiences you can have on this planet. The hotel itself is beautiful, set on an island with a magnificent garden and nature, through which you can ride bikes that you get together with your room. The service is outstanding across the board, from the welcome through to restaurants, room service, and of course your personal butler. Our personal butler, Muhey, is really absolutely the right person in the right place. Super nice guy, very helpful, not too imposing, meticulous, providing an impeccable service, was of great assistance throughout our stay. Muhey, and the rest of the staff, thank you for your work and for making our stay so nice and comfortable! Overall, a magnificent experience which I recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings with very helpful and friendly staff.

A genuinely warm two weeks at Dusit Thani I just finished a 14-night solo stay and wanted to share an honest review while it's fresh. What stood out most was the people. The house reef is excellent — I snorkelled every day and it never got old — but it's the staff that made the stay memorable. A special mention to Mai at The Market. She was consistently warm, remembered my preferences, and genuinely lifted the mood at breakfast and dinner. She was away for a couple of days during my stay and the difference was noticeable — that tells you how much one person can bring. Benjarong and Sea Grill both deserve credit too — I was always looked after with real warmth at both, and at Benjarong in particular I felt genuinely well taken care of throughout. Dining was solid overall, though I'd say each restaurant had a couple of dishes worth returning to rather than a wide variety. The Grill Night was a real highlight though — there was a white fish soup, cooked fresh right there at the station, that was genuinely outstanding, and the dessert spread was a lovely touch. The Dive Centre team were excellent across the board — the guides, the marine life specialist who took the time to teach me, and the watersports crew. Housekeeping also looked after me well, with quick laundry and little extras like spare towels when needed. I had a few smaller observations along the way, which I shared directly with my butler — the kind of feedback best handled in person, and they listened well. Finally, a special thank you to my butler, April. She was attentive, quick to respond, and remembered the little things throughout my stay. Above all, she was very professional 🤓 — she did an excellent job and is a real asset to the resort. A note on the photos — I'm not really a photo person, so there's just a manta and a couple of sunsets here. I spent the two weeks actually living it rather than filming it, which probably says something good about the place. Thank you to Jean-Louis and the whole team — a genuinely restful, well-run escape.

We stayed at the Dusit Thani Maldives for 11 nights and from the moment we arrived were completely blown away. The hotel and Island exceeded our expectations in every way. Jean Louis the suave, urbane manager, greeted us upon arrival, along with the every helpful Anas, our butler for the stay. After a tour of the island we settled into our villa. 501 a waterfront pool villa, on the North Eastern side of the Island. In truth, we came for the reef and the sea life, both of which were superb but it came as an absolute bonus to fine the food was exquisite, no matter which of the restaurants one chose to eat in. More than that, the staff were wonderful. They were all positive, helpful and extremely friendly. Special mention to Kaka, Mai, Alex and Ahmed in the Market restaurant. Arfan and Raveesha in the Sea Grill and Opali in the Bar. So the reef - This is our third visit to the Maldives and thus far, the Dusit Thani reef comes out on top. The coral is healthy, there are several coral rejuvenation projects around the shore and the sea life is diverse. The Dive centre were knowledgeable, giving good advice and leading the various excursions professionally. Thankyou young Izman, for the night snorkelling, excellent and not something we had tried before. The eastern half of the island is suitable for beginners whilst still being interesting enough for serious snorkellers. The western tip has stronger currents so good fins are essential. however the sea life at the western tip is worth the effort to explore. All in all we would go back to the Dusit Thani Island in a heart beat. The only caveat would be that it's definitely not easy on the pocket! But I suppose you get what you pay for. Regardless, we will be returning soon

What truly stood out to us about this resort: - Spacious villas with a massive super king-size bed, excellent bedding selection, quiet air conditioning, and good blackout curtains. The only small downside is that some blinds still let in a bit of morning light, so the room may not stay completely dark for guests who are sensitive to light. - The dedicated plant-based restaurant was one of the main reasons we chose this resort over the neighboring properties. This concept will definitely attract more health-conscious and environmentally aware travelers. The food was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Full marks on this one. - The house reef is phenomenal. I think being farther away from Malé helps preserve the marine life. During our stay we saw a loggerhead turtle, nurse shark, two octopuses, puffer fish, spotted eagle ray, blacktip reef sharks, countless clownfish, and even a pod of dolphins swimming past our pool villa. Their house reef is genuinely hard to beat. - The staff were very friendly and helpful overall. Most were constantly smiling, welcoming, and eager to help, while a small handful perhaps looked like they needed a well-deserved vacation themselves. - The food deserves special mention. When you have Thai and French chefs doing things properly, expectations are already high — and somehow they still exceeded them. This was the best all-inclusive dining experience we have ever had in the Maldives in terms of both quality and variety. - Having a personal bicycle with your villa number on it is such a wonderful touch. Riding around the island with the sea breeze on your skin adds so much charm to the experience. - The villas have a very large outdoor deck with enough space for two sun loungers, a daybed, and a separate dining table and chairs for coffee or afternoon tea. The outdoor shower is also perfect after snorkeling or swimming. - Even the life jackets were noticeably better quality than those provided at most resorts. They were soft and comfortable rather than the usual stiff orange ones. The only downside is that they are quite thick and block the sun completely. - We also appreciated that the all-inclusive package genuinely included access to all dining outlets on the island. Many resorts exclude one or two “premium” venues unless you pay a substantial supplement. It was refreshing not to feel constantly upsold. - We originally planned extra excursions to swim with whale sharks and manta rays, but in the end the snorkeling around the island itself was already so incredible that we simply ran out of time. - Wine lovers will be very happy here. The wine selection was consistently impressive and clearly curated by people who genuinely appreciate good wine. Having a French General Manager and Executive Chef probably helps. Excellent job on this. - We also enjoyed the games room, especially the pool table and table tennis facilities. - Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout the island. I would also like to highlight a few staff members who made our stay especially memorable: - Sala Plant-Based Restaurant & Bar: Amila - The Market Buffet Restaurant: Kaka - Benjarong Thai Restaurant: Pande These individuals are true gems within your organization. If a company takes good care of its staff, the staff will naturally take good care of the guests — and from our experience, it certainly feels like this resort values its people well. What could be improved: - The reservations team should be more transparent when communicating transportation costs. All mandatory charges should be clearly explained upfront rather than introduced gradually later in the booking process. We were initially told the domestic flight would cost USD 550 and the seaplane USD 650 if arranged by the resort. After we independently booked our own domestic flight and shared the details, we were then informed there would also be a USD 350 boat transfer charge. This should have been disclosed in the very first communication. First impressions matter, especially for a luxury resort. - On our return journey, we were charged for a “private boat transfer,” yet another individual who was not in staff uniform was also onboard. We were not informed who this person was or why we were effectively sharing a boat despite paying a private transfer rate. This did not meet the level of transparency we would expect from a five-star property. - It would also be nice to see one or two additional healthy vegetarian breakfast options added to the menu. - More directional signs around the island would help, especially for guests cycling from the diving center side. Some turns are easy to miss unless you already know the layout of the island. -The material used around parts of the water villa and pool area felt unnecessarily rough. In some places it almost resembled coarse sandpaper, meaning you constantly had to be careful not to scrape your skin while using the pool or walking around barefoot. A smoother and more refined finish would greatly improve comfort, especially for a luxury resort experience. Overall, I would still rate our stay 9/10. The resort itself delivered one of the best Maldives experiences we have ever had. The only reason I am deducting one point is due to the lack of transparency surrounding transportation arrangements before arrival.

Having been lucky enough to free dive from five different islands in the Maldives in the past (including the fabulous house reefs of Mirihi and Helengeli) and being a passionate freediver, Dusit Thani takes the crown. The sheer scale and vibrancy of the reef with intact coral gardens and steep walls where you can spot large eagle rays and grey reef sharks are worth the trip alone. Added to that the bicycle rides from our bungalow to breakfast and dinner was great fun. Our overwater bungalow was extremely spacious and airy. The staff is super friendly, the food varied and delicious. This is the one we plan to come back to next time!

We have been to the Maldives many times but it was our first stay in Dusit Thani. We enjoy snorkelling, so this resort was recommended to us by our travel agent and it didn't disappoint! From the welcome on arrival to the day we left, the staff were extremely attentive, the food good, our beach villa with pool was clean and comfortable, the bikes provided were fun and the House reef, compared with most others that we have seen, blew us away! Located in the Baa Atoll which is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, it was well worth the 45 minute sea plane journey! I would like to mention some particular members of the team as they were so welcoming, attentive and friendly. Our Butler, Muhey, who looked after us during our stay, Majeed in the Market restaurant, James in Benjarong, and Upali in he Sand bar. Also, Jean-Louis, the General Manager who came to chat to us each day to ensure that we were having the best experience! Finally, I used the Devarana Wellness Spa and I highly recommend Duang, who gave me three wonderful massages and I came away feeling very relaxed!

Lovely location, great food and service, but spoilt by the resort management flying a drone directly over our accommodation on 3 consecutive days! Complaints were met with 'we are only doing our job'...?? This drone activity was being conducted within 300m of where the seaplanes land and take off from.

We have recently returned home after a 5 night stay at the Dusit Thani, Maldives. The reviews which helped the making the selection of this hotel are so true. From the seaplane transfer to check in was seamless, our butler Saleem ensured that reservations for the various restaurants were made. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. We had room 501 which was perfect for snorkelling from our villa. The fully inclusive package is well worth it with decent Champagne, wines and spirits. We took a dining experience beyond the package in the Chef’s garden, the food for this was lovely as was the food throughout. The villa was very comfortable and spacious. Thank you to all the staff at the Dusit Thani Maldives for an amazing holiday

It is a nice clean island, literally little paradise in the warm Indian ocean.

Ideales Schnorchelgebiet vor der Haustür. Das Personal ist unübertrefflich zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Unser Butler Saleem hat sich sehr um uns gekümmert. Die Anlage und der Transfer sind sein Geld wert. Wir hatten all inclusive und das hat sich mehr als gelohnt. Das Essen ist wirklich wunderbar und kreativ. Hier wird einem jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder uns bedanken uns bei allen aufs Herzlichste.

Wir fanden, dass die Ausflüge etwas zu hochpreisig angesetzt sind. Das ist es aber auch schon. Es war alles traumhaft

We had a wonderful time on the island and highly recommend our butler Saeed.

I took my mum on her birthday, and it was a perfect trip. We chose the half-board plan and found that we were never hungry. The restaurants are all perfect. Breakfast is a buffet, and there are multiple choices for dinner, especially the Thai restaurant, which serves à la carte with very local food. The snorkeling area is large; I saw turtles and sharks every day. Join the night snorkeling too; octopus and sharks were easy to find. The room is big. I suggest staying over the water if your budget permits. Beach villas had lizards and yelling at night. Our butler, Danil, was very helpful, arranging spa treatments and activities for us. He always arrived on time and was kind. The Wi-Fi covers the entire island, and even some parts of the sea, which I didn't expect. You can try the "back of the house" tour and find out interesting things about how the hotel runs. The only problem is that the booking system and staff are quite hard to communicate with. I kept writing things repeatedly and ended up making a phone call to get everything done, but after that, everything was perfect. I would definitely choose to come here for my next trip, just come without worrying about anything.

Our first time in Maldives and Dusit Thani did not disappoint. Located in the Baa Atoll, Dusit Thani has a great reef for snorkeling. If you are looking for a smallish, more exclusive experience, highly recommend booking this resort. The service is warm and attentive, starting at Male airport itself. Hotel staff is there to help with seaplane transfers. You can wait at the hotel's arrival lounge until your seaplane us ready to depart Its a 35 minute flight to the hotel. Our butler, Azim, greeted us as soon as we arrived by seaplane and from that time, made our stay comfortable. There are different accommodations for different needs. If you are traveling with young kids, you should book the beach villa for direct beach access. For a couple, highly recommend the over water villas. All rooms are just as big and luxurious but offer different experiences. If you are traveling with kids or plan to drink during your stay, I recommend taking the all inclusive package. Almost everything on the menu (food and drink) at all restaurants is included in the package. It's very expensive to order alacarte otherwise. They have a fantastic Thai restaurant called Benjarong, a plant based restaurant called Sala Bar, a seafood restaurant, Sea Grill, the bar and the main breakfast/buffet restaurant, The Market, offering something for everyone. There is enough and more to do around the island. Don't miss cocktails at the bar around sunset. For us, the highlight was snorkeling from right outside our villas. If you are lucky, you can spot a reef shark or ray fish! We loved our stay at Dusit Thani and look forward to staying there again.

From the moment we were met by your representative at the airport and back again, our experience was amazing. When we landed in our seaplane transfer to the Dusit Thani resort, it was like landing on 'Fantasy Island!' The welcoming and friendly staff waving hello, our refreshing towel and drink made us very comfortable and we had an expectation that this holiday destination was going to be something special, and it was. Next we met our butler, April, for our introduction tour around the island and we soon discovered what a pure delight April was. April is a valuable and personable guide and was a huge asset to our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and she truly loves what she does. We were also extremely happy with our temporary home of an overwater Ocean Villa. It looked amazing, had a comfy bed and terrific amenities, especially our private infinity pool, from where we saw lots of tropical fish in the reef over the edge. Even a dolphin! We went snorkelling on the wonderous reef, had a sunset cruise, romantic dinner and delighted in the motto of the island that 'shoes are optional' at all times, even in the restaurants. Although we needed them during the day as the sand and boardwalks got pretty hot! Our holiday to Dusit Thani was to celebrate my 60th birthday and I felt like a 'Princess' every moment. April was beyond compare with her efforts, in cahoots with my partner, to organise birthday treats for me, which I appreciated so much. I need to shout out a special mention to the dedicated and very attentive twins on staff, Supun at Sea Grill and Prabath at the Sand Bar. They are brilliant at what they do and anticipating our needs. Such professionalism and value as employees should not go unrewarded. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and it was welcomed to see that they would point out when there were steps in our path so we were aware. I liked too that the Area Manager, Jean-Louis, took time to greet guests and have a brief chat while we were at two restaurants. I must also mention that the food was exceptional wherever we dined. We had the most wonderful enjoyable holiday we have ever had and recommend Dusit Thani as an excellent holiday destination.

The service, the staff were fantastic. The reef was breathtaking, very easy accessible, and full of vibrant fish and small reef sharks. Food was very good, Olivier the chef is very talented.

The ocean wasn't flat apart from 1 out of the 6 days we were there. The current was quite strong but thankfully that didn't made the water blairy. The visibility while snorkeling was still very good. There isn't a big beach .

Best stay in the Maldives. Excellent service and staff who were always very nice. We came to snorkel and saw turtles, sharks, eagle rays, moray eels, lionfish on the reef...and we saw dolphins from the Thai restaurant near the resort. We were very satisfied...

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We are Japanese, and our butler was very kind and made an effort to understand and communicate with us, even though our English was not very good. All of the food was delicious. It was our first time in the Maldives, and we are so glad we chose Dusit Thani!

Dusit Thani Madives is a really special place! I’s a very beautiful and compact island, that you can cross from one side to the other in 5 mins by bike. The local reef is awesome and has so many colourful fish, sharks, rays, turtles. Our butler Danil was very kind, helpful and took care of us at all times when needed. The whole staff there are wonderful and caring. We hope to visit Dusit Thani again soon! ❤️

After holidaying many times in the maldives over 25 years, this is one of the best islands we have stayed on. The room (beach villa) and the restaurants were excellent; the staff were both friendly and efficient. We particularly enjoyed the butler system which made our stay so easy and pleasant. What is important to us when choosing an island is the quality of the house reef and diving sites - Dusit Thani and the Baa atoll excelled in both.

Consiglio camere beach dalla 100 in poi. Il personale ti coccola da quando arrivi alla fine,vorrei ringraziare tutti ma non ricordo i nomi:Kaka del market e la ragazza al seagrill.. Le ragazze della spa sono molto professionali e i massaggi ben fatti in ambiente pulito e accogliente.

Unica nota negativa il caffè nei vari punti ..era meglio quello della macchinetta in camera!

Но тут как раз персонал сделал этот отель комфортным для отдыха. В ресторанах на второй день уже знают, что заказывал вчера и что понравилось, сегодня уже конкретные рекомендации под твои предпочтения. В Гриль Баре просто красавцы, нет слов. Встречают, обслуживают, провожают. Последний вечер в отеле, много сюрпризов в ресторане, от празднично украшенного стола до заказа блюд. Там два брата с Шри Ланки молодцы. Повар, администратор, управляющий - все тебя запомнили и море внимания. Конечно не назойливо, все в меру. Да и Батлер Данил на связи постоянно. Полный сервис и внимание с его стороны. Отель хороший, не хватило только Лагуны и пляжа. А для моей семьи это минус. Риф живой, не на 10ку конечно. Требует терпения -) я даже гитарную акулу снял. А это топ 10ка, большая редкость. Итого если лагуна и пляж не важны, получите удовольствие.

Нет пляжа с лежаками. Когда живешь на water villa иногда нужно пройтись и полежать на пляже. Оочень не хватило.

Wonderful array of fish and even turtles. The restaurants, especially Benjarong, exceed expectations in terms of selection, taste and service. My family love the idea that we can cycle around the island to access the different attractions. Dusit has a seaplane lounge which is great for late flight travellers flying out of Maldives. For a fee we can use the lounge service and have dinner and special thanks to Saleem (our butler) for making all the reservations for us.

Incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Dusit Thani. We spent Christmas and New year there with our 12 and 9 year old. Having booked the CIP service from the airport , our arrival was smooth and stress- free. The hotel lounge at the seaplane terminal was well stocked and well staffed- great way to start the trip. From the moment we landed on the island staff were friendly and helpful. Their kindness felt genuine and every staff member we interacted with was an absolute credit to the hotel. Sea grill has a fabulous team and great food. We were all inclusive and there was plenty of options of great food for us and the children- I’m vegan and the team offered to amend menu items to suit me. Sala, the vegan restaurant was exceptional- the chef is incredibly talented. Even my meat- eating family agreed the food was delicious. We don’t really use the buffet restaurant other than breakfast but again food option and cleanliness were excellent. We stayed in a two bed water villa. The views were incredible with direct access to the sea for snorkelling and swimming. Well appointed with comfortable Beds and all amenities. Our butler Anas was wonderful. Great communication, friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much bother- a real asset to the hotel and the brand. Staff members such Faisal, Ravesesha at seagril and the waiting staff at Sala were all amazing. The staff are all genuinely amazing at their jobs and their customer service is some of the best we have encountered in our many travels around the world. We are already preparing to return at the end of this year. Can’t recommend highly enough. The island is the perfect mix of unspoilt nature and luxury. Lots of activities to dip into and the bikes supplied allow you to explore the island at your leisure .

A lot of extras, even after charging luxury rates, one still has to pay extra for padel courts and such. Also festive season rates don’t include events which is strange

Dusit Thani was a very beautiful island. We were surprised by its size, but it is completely forested and you can ride around on a bike. We also liked the concept for the excellent food – it was possible to eat in all restaurants at no extra cost. The island has a very beautiful house reef and the diving school with all its staff was wonderful. Thanks to Louna for the excellent AOW and Nitrox training with wonderful dives and many experiences (lots of big fish, manta rays, sharks, stingrays, turtles, moray eels, but also small beauties). Her colleagues were also always friendly and very helpful. I can highly recommend the island for a vacation.

Amazing, fully pampering holidays, worthy of its value!! Dusit Thani provides all you need for great retreat. Starting from great service of all its employees, who took great care of us during our stay, and provided the highest level of hospitality. Special shout out to our Butler Anas, who went above and beyond to make those holidays so special. Additionally, exceptionally clean rooms, very well equipped with all amenities you need and decorated with great taste. Resort's tranquil atmosphere makes you feel like you're on the cloud, with almost no sounds. Very important to point out is very short distance from Male and comfortable direct flight straight to the hotel. Regarding food, resort offers all sorts of restaurants, all very tasty and worth of trying. We almost never repeated a dish during our stay due to the variety of menus, but restaurant Sala stole our heart - both due to the service of our waiter Amilla (great care and amazing wine pairing), and exceptionally tasty vegan food. What can I write more - we fully recommend and will come back. Thank you for the lovely stay!!

From the moment we arrived, we were immediately taken care of by the front-desk team. A butler is assigned to you, and ours, Mr. Muhey, was simply outstanding and incredibly attentive. Always discreet yet highly professional. At Dusit Thani, “the guest is king” is more than just a motto, it’s a reality. Our stay was absolutely magical. We thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine prepared by Chef Olivier, and spent unforgettable moments by the pool, wonderfully looked after by Mr. Upali. There are so many people to mention, but Muhey truly turned our stay into a dream. We will definitely return. Thank you all.

Last time we stayed at another hotel in the Maldives, we were so impressed by the outstanding views, the abundance of fish, and the hotel's quality that we came back to the Maldives again. We chose this hotel because we heard could see lots of fish while snorkeling, but we was truly amazed by the scale, which far exceeded my expectations. Every day we saw different kinds of creatures, and we even swam alongside turtles. Even fish species we would seen elsewhere were stunningly vibrant and impressive here. The thrill of a massive school of fish, sparkling like sequins, swimming toward us at incredible speed and then showering down like rain as they passed by is something we'll never forget. The meals were delicious, with each ingredient carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The hotel had its own cultivation area on-site, ensuring the seafood and vegetables were incredibly fresh. The all-inclusive plan let us enjoy a wide variety of drinks and tropical fruit cocktails. We were delighted by the wide selection of wines perfectly paired with the dishes. Even the buffet displayed breads and cakes with meticulous craftsmanship, arranged beautifully for easy viewing, reflecting the high quality of the staff. Every day was comfortable and never dull. Moreover, the smiles and hospitality of all the staff were outstanding. Especially, Mr.AZHAN, our assigned butler, created a wonderful surprise for us, making it an unforgettable memory. Next time, we want to return with my children. It was the best hotel. Thank you so very much.
