Beautiful nature so quiet and relaxing..
Some switch and electric socket need to give some attention… everything else all great..
Breakfast was great, I was disappointed when I found out I had to buy a whole bottle of champagne in order to get a Mimosa, but Frank the facility manager has managed to accommodate me on this -big THANK YOU to you Frank, and also to Regina (hope I recalled it correctly) and to the rest of the Alive crew, love the omelettes too! I particularly love their red wine (Italian) bottles -and thank goodness they are not chilled :) I appreciated the fact that I could just a buy a bottle for dinner and take it back to the my villa either to finish it OR bring it back the following evening -which I did few times. ALL the crew from Alive were very attentive. the Upperdeck as well. The foie gras and lamb chops at Souffle de Vie were remarkable and I pared it with the red wine bottle I had from the night before. The housekeeping kept my villa well tended and accommodated my coffee drinking habit. My strolling around the resort with my dog in the morning, afternoon, and evening provided me quiet times alone with my dog going for a nice walk -always important to me when I travel as I travel all the time with my dog for 12 years now all the way from the US. Lastly, but not the least, is a special thank you to Candice, for the chair yoga, she was particularly conscientious after I mentioned to her that I have a Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. THANK YOU to all till next time, hopefully with my 3 sisters -and of course with Abbey, my 12 year old furry companion.

Good place to unwind and get away from life’s busy pace
Minor issue but it would be better if there are more daily engaging activities ; it would be good if the food prices are more fair and reasonable.
We stayed at this property to celebrate Valentine's Day, and it was a wonderful experience. The place is very relaxing and peaceful, making it perfect for a quiet getaway. Although it's a bit far from Lipa City proper, it's definitely worth the drive. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with delicious banana loaf bread and healthy snacks in our room, which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was healthy, delicious, and refreshing. The staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. We also truly appreciated the thoughtful Valentine's cake that was delivered to our room during turndown service. These thoughtful gestures made us feel genuinely valued and made our stay even more special. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing escape. The peaceful atmosphere, attentive service, and thoughtful attention to special occasions made our Valentine's celebration truly unforgettable.
Very relaxing. The atmosphere was very tranquil and the massage was very good
A healing experience indeed. Beyond the relaxing and healing treatments, it’s the people you meet that make this place so special. Amazing food, beautiful conversations, and hearts that leave an impact!
We stayed at The Farm at San Benito for a couple of nights and it was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Danica, the assistant manager, who remembered our names every single time she saw us throughout our stay. It’s such a personal touch, and she was wonderfully warm with our son too. We even took a photo with her at checkout! I’ve been a Bonvoy member for over 20 years, so I’m no stranger to upgrades, but being upgraded to a pool villa here was a genuine surprise. The villa was enormous, with amazing rooms, and even with the rain I still managed a dip in our private pool. The property itself feels like a secret waiting to be discovered. We loved the secret garden and the sense of mystery as you wander the grounds, constantly stumbling upon unique little corners. As someone who works in music professionally, I especially appreciated the soundscapes in the rest areas. It’s a subtle detail most resorts overlook, and it elevated the whole experience. I had a 90-minute massage that was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s on the pricier side (800 AED), but absolutely worth it as a special treat. The staff across the board were top class. From the buggy drivers to the restaurant teams, everyone was always smiling, always playing with our son, and it truly felt like a private service just for us. A special thank you to Catherine for recommending a lovely bottle of wine, and for remembering exactly what we’d ordered the next day. The dining was excellent too. Breakfast at Alive was great (they even kept it open 30 minutes longer for us), and we loved our meals at Pesche and Upperdeck, where we dined alongside the resident peacock. So cool! A few areas of the property could use a refresh, but renovations are already underway, so I have no doubt it will be even better on our next visit. And there will definitely be a next visit. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to disappear for a week. We can’t wait to come back!
I recently spent two nights at The Farm at San Benito and honestly, I wish I had stayed longer. I stayed in the Narra Private Pool Villa, which was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. But what I loved most was the location of the villa. It was surrounded by so much greenery and forest that every time I pulled up the blinds, I genuinely felt like I was living in a beautiful house right in the middle of nature. Waking up to those views was really special. The property itself is huge and very spread out, but they have buggies available for pick ups and drops throughout the resort, so getting around was never an issue. There are also different types of accommodations depending on what kind of stay you are looking for. I also did a yoga session during my stay, which I absolutely loved. Practising yoga in such a peaceful, green setting felt completely different and was a beautiful way to start the day. For me, the most interesting part of The Farm was definitely the wellness treatments. Since I was there for only two nights, I could only try a few. I did the Vital Dome, which is meant to support detoxification through intense sweating and also helps burn calories. I also tried their Triple Detox Therapy, which included liver and kidney detox elements along with a magnetic clay detox through the feet. It was quite a unique experience and I really enjoyed it. I also tried a couple of massages during my stay and they were honestly heavenly. Exactly what I needed. The food was another highlight. I had breakfast at Alive and loved how fresh everything tasted. Their whole concept is farm to table, and you can really feel that in the food. The breakfast spread was lovely, fresh and wholesome. I also enjoyed meals at Pesce and Souffle De Vie, and both had their own distinct vibe and experience. The food, ambience and beautiful surroundings made the meals feel like an important part of the overall stay rather than just somewhere to eat. A special mention to the staff as well. Everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, especially when it came to the treatments and the whole wellness experience. My only regret is that two nights were simply not enough. I would definitely love to come back for a longer stay and do a proper detox program next time, because I feel that is when you can truly experience everything The Farm has to offer. Definitely a place I would happily return to.
First off, I want to thank Dr. Lex for creating such a thoughtful and personalized Resilience & Recovery Program for me at The Farm at San Benito. To Dr. Lex, Dr. Ron, Sir Lem, and the entire team, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, care, and support throughout my stay. If you’re looking into holistic healing, I highly recommend Dr. Lex. He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely caring and compassionate. He takes the time to understand your needs and creates a personalized approach that makes you feel supported every step of the way. I’m truly grateful for his guidance and care.
Nice Room and Good Service experience
Wow the spa is so beautiful and peaceful. I did a 2 hour hilot lakambini massage. My skin was so soft after the body scrub and soak in the morninga and chlorophyll tub. The massage was amazing! I woke up so refreshed and relaxed. Everyone was so nice and attentive, I will definitely be back!
customer service, food and ambiance are excellent!

We love the serene setting, the staff, and the food.
Nothing
The Farm at San Benito is a wonderful resort. Our room, Narra King Pool room, was incredibly spacious and the direct access to the pool was luxurious. The breakfast options are varied and the dining is world class. The staff are all so friendly and helpful.
Be mindful of flies, especially when eating - but cannot be avoided due to the location. It is a jungle. They must do pest control at night because you will find dead bugs in the morning. But these are cleaned up during the day.
Peaceful, quiet, close to nature — you can literally hear the birds. Clean grounds, multiple pools, and a buggy always on standby. The bed is dangerously comfortable — slept better than I have in months. This place is the reset button I didn't know I needed.
1. Pool Towel Service • No towels in the pool. • You need to request. • At a 5 star hotel like this, that should be automatic. 2. Very few food options in the restaurants and too expensive for the quality. 3. Pools are not temperature controlled. 4. Inconsistent Pool Depths • Pools are all 4 ft but the one in our room and by the spa have different measurements. • Not accurate 5. Limited In-Room Water Supply • Drinking water in the room is limited.
I really liked my stay with family. It’s in a nice location and they have a lot of great spaces and a pool to enjoy, relax and unwind. Also, there aren’t a lot of food options, but the restaurant was nice.
Disappointing experience, do not recommend if you value your time. I booked a Narra Villa King at The Farm at San Benito (Confirmation #98406052) for a weekend wellness retreat from Manila, paying a premium rate of PHP 65,542.40. Despite a guaranteed 3:00 PM check-in, my room was still unavailable long past the designated time. To make matters worse, management offered zero clear commitment or communication regarding when the villa would actually be ready. For a luxury property under the Autograph Collection / Marriott Bonvoy umbrella, failing to provide a confirmed room on time - and offering no immediate service recovery - is completely unacceptable. This delay severely disrupted my schedule and ruined the start of my retreat. I have demanded immediate escalation to hotel management, an official explanation, and appropriate compensation. Absolute failure in basic hospitality standards.
The people are lovely, and are the best thing about the Farm at San Benito. The place itself is a little rough around the edges. We started in a villa that (i) had bugs; (ii) had the power go out and (iii) had the water completely stop working. To their credit, they moved us to a new place and it was an upgrade, but I feel like the infrastructure really needs to catch up to the level of "luxury" the Farm touts. Also, in May, it was too darn hot. And the swamp coolers in the public areas don't always keep pace. Definitely get a place with a pool--at night it's lovely to swim for an hour or so. Definitely warm enough and the sounds of the jungle make it fun.
Pretty easy to get to, even though they are nestled deep into the woods Rooms are very spacious & well furnished Well maintained, clean property The staff are trained but could do with a little more attention to detail The price is not regrettable but seems slightly high when compared to other global Autograph properties
We love the villa! And wifi is everywhere. Staff are very friendly and nice.

Breakfast buffet delicious food
Last year we spent our anniversary getaway at The Farm at San Benito based upon recommendations from our friends. We found the atmosphere, holistic approach to wellness, accommodations, staff and restaurants to be world class. This year we decided to repeat our anniversary getaway there again as it was so special the previous year. When we booked we noticed The Farm as San Benito now fell under Marriott's Autograph Collection of hotels and resorts. As a member of Marriott for more than 30 years we expected what was already a world class resort to be even better, if that were at all possible. What we experienced was nothing but problems and unpleasantries from the first hour we arrived. Upon arrival we noticed they did not accommodate our request for the same villa we spent our last anniversary in even though we previously reached out requesting this during our booking. Immediately upon entering our villa we saw there was two additional beds in the center of the villa blocking all the open walking space. The staff told us the beds were there as this villa was previously booked by another family and they turned the villa down for some reason after being checked in. Even though check in was at 3pm we still had to waste our first hour in the villa waiting for someone to come and remove the beds I remember our last stay upon entering our villa there was a meditating music and bamboo water feature video that greeted us upon entering the villa. This time there was no such greeting and later we found out the internet didn’t work properly on the smart TV in the villa. . We then immediately noticed that the normally beautiful view on the back of the lanai of the hillside vegetation was obstructed by poorly maintained broken bamboo and vegetation overgrowth unlike the villa we stayed in the previous year. There was so much overgrowth that the attached pool to the villa did not get the necessary sunshine to bring the pool to acceptable temperatures for swimming. As well the pool wasn't cleaned daily as it was the last time we stayed and it was constantly with plant debris. Our first hour after checking in to the villa we experienced two brownouts where we were without electricity. We then took the walk path from our villa to the restaurant only to be greeted by yellow/black barricade tape not allowing us to follow on the concrete path to the restaurant and had to walk on the hilly, slippery grass. We were told there was fruit falling from the trees over the walkway path. Upon arriving at one of our favorite restaurants there, Alive, we were told the items we were ordering were not available. Also during the past year's stay we were greeted from restaurant to restaurant by a wonderful acoustic couple who provided memorable live music table side. During the 3 days there this time we never saw this type of entertainment which added so much to our experience last visit. At the end of the stay we picked up the phone to request transport of our luggage from our villa to the front desk and the phone was dead. We had to use our private mobile phone to call a Manila number to connect us to the front desk of The Farm to complete the request. All in all this will be a memorable stay but not for a pleasurable experience. Given that I will have to give phrase to the spa staff for their excellent service as well as the restaurant staff who were very kind even with the logistic challenges we experienced this visit. To conclude, we will look at other accommodations/resorts for our next anniversary getaway after our experience at The Farm at San Benito this year. When asked by friends and family about our recommendations we’ll share this review with them as well. I’m hopeful Marriott will look into all these issues and will bring The Farm at San Benito back to its previous world class status.
My first experience at Colema at the Farm, Autograph Collection was truly amazing and deeply comforting. Nurse Lia provided such a caring and relaxing wellness experience — I highly recommend this as a must-do for anyone looking to recharge and focus on their well-being. I would definitely love to return every 6 months for a wellness reset. The vegan food was excellent, the location was peaceful and beautiful, and the entire resort staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks as well to Duty Manager Canda for the outstanding hospitality and attention throughout our stay. A wonderful place for healing, relaxation, and self-care. Highly recommended
Serenity of the location. Great food vibe. Considerate staff.
In our 4th year anniversarry we spend it at the farm and it was great decision to experience natural healing of nature as how two heart heal each other. We tried. The lung theraphy and i was surprice how it done. And how ginger made feel the relaxaion and we experienced.
1. I emailed prior to booking to ask a few questions but did not receive a response. 2. After booking a Family Standard Room, I followed up with another email…again, no response. 3. Upon checking the “Manage Booking” section, I discovered that my Family Standard Room had been changed to a Deluxe Room without any notice. 4. Due to the lack of communication and change of room without notice, I decided to cancel my booking. Terrible hotel customer support
The moment you enter the property, it already makes you feel so at ease, calm, and relaxed. The way the staff approaches you reflects this also. All the areas, services are designed to make you let go of any worries. I tried colema and I’m glad I did. It’s what my body needed to completely detox
Cleanliness
Everything is expensive
Breakfast had limited optiona but great
Equipmwnt in the room could be better - no coffee machine. No coffee at all. Minibar also needa impeovement (well there was nothing in it)
Amazing experience, super proficient and jovial team at the wellness centre, and excellent masseuses at the spa.
I always have a good experience with your medical procedures
Staff very accomodating and professional. Great service.
Best massage ever. Fantastic spa center with pressure pools, onsen, amazing treatments. Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful.
This is our second stay in this property unfortunately I am downgrading my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Im going to preface this review by saying that if you are a hardcore health, fitness and root cause healing individual and and you know how to harness the natural resources in this property (ie grounding, sound healing, sun and light therapy etc) then by all means come to this place This place has so much of nature's healing power if you know how to use them. But dont expect deep and experienced experts who walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to true and lasting health journey to guide you on the right path. If you are like most people who just enjoy some peace, quiet, serenity and a nice room and a change from the fast city pace of life and you can afford the price tag then go ahead and indulge. As of 2026, this property is now part of Marriott, good for me because I was able to reap the benefits of being a platinum Elite. However the fact that Marriott took over the rooms and F&B but not the wellness part of this property speaks volumes of Marriotts pure intent to run this place just like an ordinary luxury property and not a wellness health healing retreat place which what this property was means in its original conception. Which goes back to what I said, if you want luxury meets nature you wont be disappointed if you want hard core life changing healing guidance that mainstream doesnt offer this one doesnt hit the mark. Healthy food can be delicious. The food here is neither healthy nor will it wow you. MSG and refined sugar are big no nos to healthy living and most if not all the dishes have it for taste. The idea that vegan and vegetarian = healthy is a fading trend. You pay a steep price for food here with small portions and its just not good enough. As a healthy eater I will rate the food here both taste and health meter at a 2 stars out of five. The exception is breakfast where the team in the Alive restaurant really shines. Arnel is the manager who runs it and he is on top of it. The breakfast items do not pass my health meter test but the team here allows me to customize my meals and they deliver every single day. I tell them what exactly I want in my dishes and they do their best to make it. We stayed in the more modern villa Mahogany 22 and as nice as it is, you can walk in that villa anywhere in the world. I prefer the more traditional ones with native touches. Both have luxury feel and are fabulous What really left me a sour taste was how the managers in the front desk operate. In every establishment, the manager is your last resort if you want to get things done. Its a different story here, the managers are hidden behind the room like VIP and the front desk people are their soldiers. If you ask to speak with one of the managers or supervisors, you have to have a good justification to do so. And then I came across Ayla one of the managers who I sat with and told of our situation regarding our rez. She said she will do what she can do and let us know. Long story short, because she couldn't resolve it which was ok but to make us wait and avoid us througout the day when time is of the essence does not have any excuse. I would rather have her face me and tell me what happened rather than make me wait all day and never get back to me. That is a real unprofessional behavior especially coming from a manager. Service is what truly made this place special the first time I was there and yes some of the folks like Arnel, Cristy, Leslie and some of my favorite people still shine with their excellence but I think its time to revisit the overall service execution in this place and give it a good polish. Will I be back? Yes because the nature aspect of this place is unbeatable. Will I recommend it as much as I did before? That depends how much your paying and what are you trying to get out of it.
Had a wonderful stay at the Farm. The staff are super kind and facilities are superb.
Staff are courteous and efficient. They are friendly as well.
I spent 4 days at the Farm. I did a program through the wellness center. The food was very good. There were plenty of activities throughout the day that worked around my personal treatments. Things like a morning power walk around the Farm, yoga, meditations etc. I was there on my own and while I was unusual I felt comfortable and welcome. It would be a great place to go with a group of friends. There were several families as well. I stayed in a Palmera Glass villa. It was lovely and very comfortable. The spa was beautiful. The massages were fabulous. The flower mandala meditation was very fun.
Great service and treatments.
THE FARM of San Benito, Authograph Collection, Marriott Bonvoy The design of the place is nice, the walking trails are concrete and a good walking path. The staff seemed all nice and respectful. We are Marriott Bonvoy Titanium and Gold members in a group of 6. Upon check in for two nights, we asked for a room upgrade. We were told they were fully booked. Afterwards we tour the place on foot specifically looking for the spa which is a top priority feature we want to avail of. We are extremely disappointed with what we saw. The place was very untidy, the pool was not clean, there were algae and molds all around even in the steps of the pool. The bar beside the spa was dirty, there was a standing dirty water in one corner; the tables were dirty with chairs upturned. The massage cabanas outside by the pool seemed had not been cleaned nor the curtains replaced for sometime. When we asked for the infinity pool and hot tub which were listed in their website, we were told that those are pay for use only. We told them that the website did not indicate that there were charges. We went to check the restaurants. The restaurant seemed to have not been cleaned. The floor and furniture are dirty and dusty. Being very disappointed/disgusted with what we saw, we decided to cancel our two nights stay. We were told by the staff and the manager that we cannot cancel. Since it was already late to go back to Manila, we agreed to stay for the night but will check out the following morning. We were told that our payment will be forfeited. The manager then told us that he will move us all to a villa in 30 minutes. We were told to dial 0 and someone will answer if we need anything. After multiple times dialing 0 for 2.5 hours with no response, we used our cellphone to call their published contact number. The 4-bedroom villa was beautifully designed and well constructed. However when we opened the kitchen cabinets, there were termite tubes and spiders. Evidence that even the well constructed villas were not regularly maintained and not well-cleaned. On that line of villas, we did not see anyone occupying the other villas considering they said they were fully booked. There was no Lacking those small but important items which are usually standard in expensive hotels/resorts. The following night, we decided to just eat at their French restaurant. We made reservation for 6pm and requested for a menu since there was none at the villa so we can choose in advance what we will order. At 5:15pm, we decided to call for a service cart to bring us to the restaurant since it’s a bit of a walking-distance from the villa and the road was wet. The transport in the resort are buggy carts for 4 people. After multiple follow up calls, the cart arrived at around 6:45pm. 1.5 hours after our first call for transport and 45 minutes late for our dinner. At the restaurant, we asked for the menu. We were given a Valentine set menu for P4,000.00 or $65.00 dollars per person. We told the server we did not know it was a set menu and we were not told about a set menu when we requested for a menu earlier that day nor when the reservation was made. For a French restaurant, and for the cost of dinner, the food was very very disappointing. The lobster bisque was bland; the small Cesar salad had no taste that we asked for salt to give it some taste and the lettuce was wilted and soggy. The main dish grouper was the big disappointment for a P4,000.00 dinner - small sliced of a sushi-like preparation wrapped in black seaweed with about 4 to 5 very small pieces of fish. For a very expensive place ($311 per night, discounted), there are standard and acceptable high expectations.
I recently stayed at The Farm at San Benito with my daughter and our dog. We had a wonderful time and were very impressed by the beautiful resort grounds and the extensive facilities the property has to offer. I also chose The Farm at San Benito because it has recently partnered with Marriott International under the Autograph Collection Hotels and Marriott Bonvoy. The staff were helpful, polite, and very friendly. Service is definitely one of the resort’s strongest assets. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with welcoming smiles and warm hospitality. The check in was smooth and pleasant. There were welcoming snack with a note from the hotel manager on the desk which is a nice touch. That said, the resort does seem to have quite a bit of maintenance and quality control to keep up with. The room we originally booked had two broken curtains out of four panels. We spent about an hour watching the maintenance staff attempt to fix them, unfortunately without success. After a frustrating exchange through the Bonvoy app, the duty manager reached out and offered to move us to a villa. I really appreciated the manager’s swift response in addressing my concerns. The new villa was a stunning unit with a veranda and plunge pool. Although the hot water didn’t work, the fan was loudly creaking, and one of the curtains was also malfunctioning, it was still a beautiful place to stay and a significant upgrade from our original accommodation. The rest of our stay was truly wonderful. We visited most of the pools the resort has to offer and the 300 years old mango tree was absolutely stunning, a must visit. We tried three of their six restaurants, all of which were excellent. The resort food was quite expensive, especially considering there are not many restaurants nearby, but it was delicious and the ingredients were high quality. Despite all my cocktails were great, I also hope they will add more wine by a glass into the mix in the future. The breakfast spread was very good, possibly one of the best I’ve had in the Philippines, especially the local dishes. Special thanks to Maria at the front desk, who took great care of us and showed us several different villas. Now I have some good ideas for my next visit. I do hope the Farm takes these maintenance concerns seriously because at around USD 234 per night for a basic room and USD 468 for a villa with a plunge pool in the Philippines, everything should ideally function exactly as it is supposed to.
The Farm at San Benito was a great experience. All the staffs were amazing and hospitable. The massage, the food, all 10/10. Me and my family did enjoy. Garden to table concept, superb. Thank you so much. Will definitely come hack.
Since Marriott assumed management a few months ago, I strongly recommend avoiding this property for the foreseeable future. The resort appears to be having a major identity crisis. For over two decades, this was known as one of Asia’s premier holistic wellness retreats focused on Eastern medicine and detox programs. Now it seems Marriott is trying to reposition it as a conventional international luxury resort — and in doing so, they have stripped away much of what made The Farm at San Benito special. The employees, many of whom have been here since the property first opened, are still present and doing their best. They are warm, gracious, and clearly care deeply about guests. Their kindness and dedication remain the bright spot of the experience. Unfortunately, their hands seem tied by the current management and operational changes. I could list dozens of ways the property falls short — both as a Luxury Collection hotel and as a serious wellness retreat. But the bigger issue is structural… the property feels like it needs major operational and strategic changes in order to survive in its current form. Even the restaurants (which were once central to the property’s wellness philosophy) have already begun to feel the influence of Marriott’s more conventional hotel approach to food and beverage. Anyone familiar with large international hotel chains will understand what that means: highly commercialized menus and cooking styles that are far removed from the clean, therapeutic nutrition standards one expects at a wellness retreat. The staff clearly try their best to maintain the original spirit of the cuisine, but it feels like a losing battle. Guests can purchase specialized wellness meal programs at an additional cost, but at a place built around health and detox, nutritious food should be the standard (not an optional upgrade). Another reality that travelers should understand is the location. There is absolutely nothing to do in the surrounding area. This is not a destination resort where you can venture out and explore nearby attractions. It is roughly a two-hour drive from Manila, and there would be little reason to make that journey unless you are specifically coming for a serious wellness program. There are no meaningful tourism activities nearby, and children would have virtually nothing to do. Even adults would struggle to fill their days if they are not actively participating in wellness programming. Because of that reality, the property must succeed as a wellness destination. That is the only reason to come here. Marriott would be wise to double down on that identity and study models such as Hyatt’s Miraval Resort & Spa, which has successfully blended luxury hospitality with immersive wellness programming. Unfortunately, this property currently feels very far from achieving anything similar. It genuinely pains me to say this, because this resort once had an exceptional reputation. But today there is little luxury while still charging luxury-level prices. At the same time, the detox and wellness programs that originally made this destination famous appear to have been significantly diluted since the Marriott transition. One additional warning for prospective guests: the room photos and suite categories currently displayed on the Marriott website do not match the actual accommodations. The images appear to represent future renovated rooms or design prototypes. In reality, many rooms are dated and in very inconsistent condition. The initial room we were placed in was in such poor condition that it likely should have been condemned and would not be considered habitable by American standards. After raising the issue, we were moved to a much nicer room position described as an upgrade or courtesy. However, that framing felt disingenuous given how unacceptable the original room was and how dramatically it differed from the photos and descriptions shown online. We booked through American Express AMEX and ultimately had to switch rooms due to these discrepancies. While the staff tried to help, the issue stems from the way the property is being represented online. We also participated in a number of the medical and spa treatments during our stay. For the most part, these services were outstanding. While the treatments are quite pricey by Philippine standards, the practitioners generally delivered the promised outcomes and the therapists were highly skilled. Unfortunately, the medical facility itself shows clear signs of deferred maintenance and needed repairs on multiple levels. In addition, the medical and wellness services feel somewhat disconnected from the rest of the property, particularly when compared with the hotel operations and restaurants. Rather than feeling like an integrated wellness retreat, the experiences currently feel fragmented. As for the decision to brand this resort under Marriott’s Luxury Collection, there is currently nothing about the experience that resembles a luxury product. That designation feels like false advertising. If Marriott intended to reposition the property at that level, significant upgrades should have been completed first — even if that required temporarily closing the resort for renovation — before introducing the Luxury Collection branding. The transition to Marriott management appears deeply troubled at the moment. Until the property resolves these issues, I would strongly advise travelers to look elsewhere. You’ve been warned.
I had been wanting to visit The Farm at San Benito for years, so arriving with the expectation that it was now part of the Marriott Autograph Collection set the bar fairly high. Unfortunately, the reality was confusing and somewhat disappointing. The property feels caught between the original vision and the newer Marriott affiliation, and the result is that many areas feel tired and in serious need of renovation. The first room they tried to put us in honestly should have been taken out of service. It felt extremely run down and borderline condemned. We were moved, which was appreciated, but overall the accommodations are far below what most people would expect from anything associated with the Marriott Autograph Collection. That said, the staff are wonderful. Everyone we encountered was warm, kind, and genuinely helpful, and the wellness procedures themselves were very good. The acupuncture consultation raised some questions. My sister and I had the same treatment, and despite being very different health-wise, we were both told essentially the exact same diagnosis, which made the experience feel somewhat scripted. Another strange issue was the restaurants frequently being out of food, which seemed bizarre for a wellness resort. Several items were unavailable daily, and overall the food was mediocre at best, which was surprising given the reputation of the property. When I first arrived, I was honestly disappointed by how dilapidated and dated the property felt. But something shifted over the next few days. The peacefulness of the grounds, the jungle sounds, and the slower rhythm of the place slowly grew on me. By the end of the stay, I appreciated the serenity and natural beauty of the setting, even though the property clearly needs significant investment and remodeling. In short: Wonderful staff and a peaceful environment, but rooms that desperately need renovation, inconsistent food service, and a property that feels caught between old and new ownership. With the right updates, this place could be truly special again.
Peace full and quiet. Staff were very friendly and professional.
Room was a bit run-down.
The atmosphere is quite nice, but this is the most expensive Marriott property in the country with by far the lowest standards when it comes to the rooms. Listing is inaccurate and what you see is not what you get. Handle fell off the shower. No bathtub as listed. Lower square footage than listed. Random storage closest filled with junk. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall. Stains on the sheet. Cracks in the ceiling. Random unused wires sticking out of the ceiling. Stained shower with ugly tiling. Do not trust the photos. Poorly maintained.
THE ROOM was unclean. Bedsheets with stains and pillows we re old and out of shape. Bathroom was also unkept, soap dish in the shower were full of old soap suds. Towels are too old and discolored. Upon arrival in the room we didnt have towels and had to wait until the evening to get one, 1pc when we re a couple. We had to ask everytime to change our towels for the remainder of our stay. The room is beautiful, but it needs a good deep clean as the rooms smells moldy. THE RESTAURANT needs an update too. We we re given the menu but 70% in it was not available when we order. There was only 2 wine selection and when we ordered the bottle we wanted it was out of stock. The food did not arrive at the same time. I had to share my food with my husband as he was so hungry waiting for a long time. His food arrived 15mins later and it was cold. THE BREAKFAST area was also uninviting. We book our long weekend with The Farm to have a peaceful and quiet weekend and yet the breakfast area was chaotic, noisy and the food doesnt look appetizing.
The hotel setting in the jungle is really spectacular - you are literally surrounded by greenery. All the wooden villas and cabins blend in beautifully to the surroundings. There is a great selection of pools and restaurants. Food options wre great and food is of great quality. The spa is also great.
Whilst the staff are super friendly and helpful there is a lack of efficiency in how things are run. The spa prices were crazy - for anywhere TBH but especially The Philippines, I understand more specialist treatments could be but the massages are too expensive. You do have to keep in mind you're in the jungle therefore gekos and peacocks stray cats are likely to wake you up during the night!

Pool is not so clean and no heater
Frühstück war gut
Restaurants waren mittelmäßig, es darf zum Beispiel nicht sein, dass ein Fischrestaurant kein Weißwein mehr hat

Check in yesterday for 3 nights stay with my family. The place is nicely plan and lay out is good, but the maintenance of the property and the upkeep of the landscaping is really poor , cleanliness and service is so poor. For cleanliness, the foot towel in my son room has blood stain!#@ For service, from front desk to restaurant are poor. For front desk, no orientation during our check-in, and only one key card for group of six, mind you a 4 rooms villa is where we stay. Service in the breakfast restaurant is poor, as we have to ask the service crew for water and clearing the table. Since it is a sprawling complex, each villa is not assigned with a buggy and you have to call if you need one, lucky if they pick you up. With the price we paid for staying there, we expect better service at least and clean towel.
We just came in today and can’t wait give this review. We came to The Farm to relax, and it’s our first time. The first activity we did was to have early dinner at the Upper Deck restaurant. However, we became so stressed right away waiting for our food for ALMOST ONE AND A HALF HOUR. Part of our order is just a simple sweet potato fries which took soooo long. The sad part is we were there very early, the sun is still up, and not much customers yet. We realized that it’s already dark and our food hasn’t arrived yet while we see other customers who came after us being served first. I hate that straight to our faces, we see other customers getting favored. The waitress (Ms. Ramos) initially promised a wait of 25-30 mins which was okay. Then after waiting for almost an hour, she promised again to wait for 3-5mins, which didn’t turn out true. In the end, we just cancelled the remaining order that didn’t arrive. The food is very expensive, though we were given 20% discount for the wait (probably expecting us to be happy), it still doesn’t live up to the standard that The Farm advertises. Very disappointing. Will definitely not come back again.
Walked around, Exhausting but worth it... Very nice experience Hooe to be back with the whole family 👍👍👍 Good service
As a nature lover, place is perfect.Atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Value is a little bit pricey.
Relaxing
The Farm at San Benito is stunning, but sadly, it’s all looks and no substance. You travel so far expecting a 5-star wellness retreat, yet they can’t even get the basics right. Rooms: AC couldn’t be turned off, phone didn’t work, vault broken, no umbrellas or hand towels, and the shower wasn’t clean. For a “wellness” resort, only one type of tea was provided — disappointing. Dining: Food was below average — dry chicken, noisy staff, and no bread or butter service. Dishes were just dropped on the table without explanation. French restaurant is considered as the fine dining restaurant. They served frozen chicken. Staff: They’re kind and trying hard, but clearly lack training and coordination. Overall: Beautiful setting but poorly managed. For the price, it’s completely overrated. You come for relaxation but leave frustrated. A waste of money — not worth the long trip.
Amazing and relaxing place
Honestly, nothing. We deeply regret booking this stay — the photos were heavily edited and misleading. Everything from the room condition to the service and food was a massive letdown.
I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels and wellness resorts around the world, and I can confidently say: The Farm at San Benito is a complete disaster dressed up in eco-chic marketing. Let’s start with the suite — $350 a night. I don’t mind paying that… if the experience even remotely reflects the price. Instead, what you get is a moldy-smelling, run-down room that feels like it hasn’t been updated in decades. Everything is old — creaky toilet, worn-out furniture, and fixtures that look like they were salvaged from a 90s provincial hospital. There’s supposedly a turndown service. Not once did anyone show up. There are no blackout curtains, so prepare to be blasted awake by daylight the moment the sun rises. Great if you enjoy being violently yanked out of sleep at 6am. Not so great if you’re expecting rest and relaxation. Then come the cockroaches at night, crawling around like they also paid $350 for a suite. The service is almost nonexistent. It took two hours to get an ice box, and when we ordered two San Pellegrino waters, one came completely flat — not a bubble in sight. We had to explain to the staff what carbonation is. That’s the level of attentiveness you’re working with. And don’t expect to be saved by the food. The restaurant is a joke. Bland, uninspired, and somehow manages to make “wellness cuisine” feel like punishment. You’d get more flavor chewing grass from the garden. The massage? Priced like a 5-star spa in Beverly Hills, yet you’re in the middle of a nowhere rural area where the average salary is under $100/month. The price of one massage could literally feed a local family for months. The disconnect is offensive. There is not a single redeeming quality about this place. It’s a sham wellness retreat built on over-edited photos and deceptive marketing. They prey on people who don’t know better — or didn’t check the reviews in time (like me). Save your money. Go anywhere else. Never, ever again.
The Farm at San Benito is truly a relaxing sanctuary — surrounded by lush greenery and the calming sounds of nature everywhere you go. It’s the kind of place that lets you disconnect and recharge completely. Their menu is impressive, offering a wide selection of dishes for every preference — from vegan and pescatarian to Mediterranean and French cuisine. However, I was a little disappointed with the adobo; it didn’t quite hit the mark compared to the other offerings. The staff, on the other hand, were exceptional — always helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring about your comfort. Our Narra Villa was perfect, tucked away in a quiet, almost secluded spot. We had some of the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. Don’t miss the healthy snacks in their gift shop — they’re delicious and make the perfect pasalubong. While the property remains beautiful, it could benefit from a bit of refreshing soon to maintain its world-class charm. Overall, it was a rejuvenating and memorable stay — a place I’d gladly return to for a peaceful escape.
Beautiful Mediterranean restaurant ‘upper deck’ with lovely pools and gardens Friendly and helpful staff, especially our butler Maria Theresa who was very sweet and responsive and handled communication well Relaxing and luxurious spa treatment Lagoon private dinner setup was nice and romantic Enjoyed the wildlife - peacocks and birds roaming the grounds added charm
Extremely poor communication before arrival resulting in no transfer arranged Missing basic amenities in room: no teaspoons, coffee, fridge, hand towels, or shower gel Not enough drinking water provided Safe was missing, then replaced with a broken unattached one Room looked nothing like the photos online Towels were forgotten and took over an hour to be delivered Gardens appeared neglected and unkept Breakfast was disappointing — poor variety and bad coffee Very limited alcoholic drinks and none offered with meals Overall quality not reflective of a 5-star resort or the high price paid
Excellent Experience Excellent Food Excellent Service Excellent Grounds Serene and beautiful Reservations Required Wonderful Gift Shop
It's a wonderful experience and a very beautiful resort. We love the privacy and the sound of nature around us. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The room is fantastic I love the bathroom and the pool. The food is also good a bit pricey but worth the spend.
We had such a wonderful stay at The Farm at San Benito! For food, we tried Soufflé de Vie—at first we thought the prices were expensive, but when we tasted the dishes, it truly reflected the chef’s talent. The linguine pasta, chicken, and especially the mashed potato were outstanding. We now have a very high standard for mashed potato—the best we’ve ever had! We also dined at Pesce, and everything we ordered was delicious. The price was just right considering the top-notch quality of the food. Highly recommended dishes are the prawns, which were perfectly juicy, and the tuna steak, which was both guilt-free and the best we’ve tried. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight—light, healthy, and with a variety of offerings to suit every preference. Another spot we enjoyed was the Upperdeck Restaurant. We loved that they offer a mix of cuisines, including Filipino dishes—perfect if you’re craving comforting rice meals. The staff deserves a special mention. Everywhere we went, they were warm and accommodating, always greeting us with a smile and making sure we were taken care of. A big shoutout to Kuya Alex—we kept noticing him serving us at different times, he is everywhere, even in in-room dining haha! He was so accommodating and always willing to go the extra mile for all the guests. The whole property itself is amazing—walking around surrounded by nature was so refreshing, and breathing in the clean air felt healing. The room was also lovely, and we were very thankful for the upgrade they gave us in celebration of my husband’s birthday. He especially loved the bathtub and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much, The Farm, for this sweet gesture! Overall, everyone at The Farm is amazing and the whole place is perfect if you’re looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy delicious food, and be surrounded by genuine hospitality. Truly a memorable experience—we wish to go back soon!

Subject: Feedback Regarding Our Recent Stay from September 24-26, 2025 To the Management of The Farm at San Benito, My partner and I have long considered The Farm our premier destination for reconnecting with nature, celebrating special occasions, and experiencing genuine pampering. It is because of our high regard for your establishment that we feel it is important to share our feedback regarding our recent two-night stay, which, unfortunately, did not meet the standard we have come to expect. While aspects of our visit were exceptional—particularly the skill of the wellness therapists and the quality of the treatments themselves—we were consistently let down by significant maintenance and facility issues that impacted our comfort and safety. Upon arrival at our initial villa, we were disappointed to find it did not reflect the presentation on your website or booking agencies. The room had an unpleasant odor, which was also present in the bathroom. During rainfall, the ceiling leaked, and the private garden featured a broken fountain that had become a stagnant breeding ground for mold and mosquitoes, rather than a source of serenity. We brought these concerns to your staff, who promptly arranged a move to a better villa. We sincerely appreciate this responsive action, though we believe such a fundamental issue should not have occurred in the first place. Specific Safety and Maintenance Concerns: 1. Electrical Hazard in Treatment Room: During our first wellness service, I attempted to turn on a flickering light. The switchboard was completely broken and exposed, with live wiring accessible to the touch. I could have easily been electrocuted. When mentioned, the therapists indicated it was a recent issue, but the condition suggested a prolonged lack of maintenance. For a premium service, this was an unacceptable safety failure. 2. Dining Area Safety Hazard: At the breakfast buffet, a large puddle of water on the floor was coming from the salad bar, which lacked proper insulation or a drip tray. There were no "Wet Floor" signs or any precautionary measures to alert guests to this slipping hazard in a high-traffic area. 3. Lack of Response to a Guest Injury: The maintenance related hazard issue became a reality later on the path to the 300-year-old Mango Tree, where I slipped and fell hard due to a thick, unmaintained layer of moss. While I continued to carefully finish my walk through the area, (after the fall), I informed a passing staff member with a Housekeeping ID. However, no one from your team followed up—no one came to assist me on the path, called our room, or sought me out to investigate the incident or file a report. · Furthermore, during our wellness treatment that afternoon, I mentioned the fall and showed my swollen knees to the therapists, who kindly provided ice packs. However, it was concerning that the management was not made aware or did not take the initiative to approach me regarding a guest injury that occurred on the property. A simple wellness check from a manager would have been appropriate. 4. Substandard Facility Conditions: The hydrotherapy experience was diminished by an unhygienic piece of cloth being used as a tub stopper and a makeshift blue PVC pipe serving as a showerhead. A subsequent treatment in a different room revealed similar issues: water dripping from walls, a constantly running toilet, a dripping faucet, and a chipped bathtub that posed a risk of bruising. For services costing ₱8-14,000 ++ per person, these details fell far short of the luxury standard promised. 5. Service Lapse: On our final morning, a room service breakfast was left uncovered on our lanai, resulting in it being contaminated by flies. While the restaurant manager handled the situation well with an apology and a replacement, the initial error pointed to a lapse in protocol. We share this detailed feedback because, as you know, a stay at The Farm is a significant investment. Guests, including ourselves, save and plan for an experience that promises excellence, safety, and well-being. It is deeply disappointing when the reality does not align with this expectation or the premium price point, especially when incidents involving guest safety are not proactively addressed. We truly hope this review can be used to address these operational and maintenance gaps, restoring The Farm to the world-class retreat we know it can be.
Chef Elmer and Ms Cecille were all very helpful and ready to assist. Food was great. Thank you for making my birthday extra special.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are all wonderful. However, for SEA, it’s priced like a luxury hotel without providing the amenities typically found at a luxury hotel.
The most beautiful nature I’ve seen in any resort very relaxing place and it has lots of amenities that we enjoyed. The staff are very friendly approachable greeting the guest with a smile especially Ms Rona our Guest Ambassador she’s kind very helpful and cooperative and also Ms Catherine & Mr Randy at Pesce restaurant we enjoy the food and the Excellent service.
I’ve always wanted to book a stay here at The Farm. Luckily, I had the opportunity and time to take a vacation with my parents including my sister and niece. As an architect, I first noticed how they carefully master-planned the property and how well-designed the villas are. As a designer, I enjoyed how the layout/ circulation of our villa flows. As a balikbayan, I loved how they try to showcase Filipino ingenuity and hospitality. The Farm made me proud that I’m Filipino. Above all, I absolutely missed the warmth that our kababayans offer. I was happy that all of their staff are highly trained and professional. They all greet the guests with a warm welcome, a smile and hand gesture. They are all ready and willing to help as well. They also made my mom’s birthday extra special and memorable by greeting her (the receptionists/ guest ambassadors), making sure she gets to do the flower mandala activity (our guest ambassador, Maria, made it happen. Tysm, Maria!), including a small note (housekeeping) and even singing to her (waitstaff). Really just grateful for all of The Farm team… guest ambassadors, receptionists, custodians, buggy attendants, housekeeping, waitstaff etc. I just wished we could have stayed longer. Until next time, The Farm! You are an absolute gem. 🤍
We had such a beautiful weekend — a perfect mix of calm and joy. The atmosphere was solemn enough to feel grounding and reflective, yet there were moments of lighthearted fun that kept it warm and memorable. The staff is very friendly and very attentive to guest needs.
My husband & I stayed at The Farm at San Benito for six nights and had an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by some of the sweetest, warmest, and kindest staff we’ve ever met. They even gave us a thoughtful room upgrade, which made our stay extra special. The therapists and nurses at the Holistic Medical Centre were especially wonderful - so encouraging, gentle, and sweet, making every therapy comfortable and healing. The food was well curated, nourishing, and delicious, and the entire property radiates peace and serenity. Everything about The Farm was genuinely lovely, and we left feeling completely rejuvenated. It was a sanctuary of peace and renewal that we will always cherish.
With pleasantly designed architecture where delightful fauna—the waddling ducks, the roaming geese and peacocks, the melodic birds, even cute snails, etc.—have made it their home, as well as lush and verdant flora all around, The Farm is an incredible resort that blends picturesque nature and comfy modernity. This is a place where one could stay not only for leisure and relaxation but where one could also undertake certain health programs. Ms. Nikka and the Medical Team—who have assisted in my stay and program so that it was smooth and without worry—have been friendly and helpful. I underwent a Metabolic Reboot Program that would be imparting favorable, long-lasting effects on my health. I checked out from The Farm with a cleaner physicality as well as with more mental clarity that would allow me to reboot certain aspects of my life moving forward.
Love the serenity of the place.
