The room was shabby and really needed a good clean.

It was the perfect location with a convenient car park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Room was spacious. Shower was hot and powerful.

The rooms were rather run down and basic. Pillows not comfortable and road outside was noisy on a Saturday night. Also I was woken by the conversation of the person next door at 6.15am.

Friendly staff, guy on reception and woman in bar were brilliant. We checked in late and guy on reception couldn't have been any nicer. We nipped into the bar for last orders and were made to feel welcome..

Dirty throughout, noisey, terrible food….. We found somewhere else on both mornings to eat breakfast. Blood on pillow slips, nail polish in the bath, no sink plugs, filthy carpets everywhere

Die Lage des Hotels ist prima, direkt am belebten Pier mit 2-3 Minuten zum Strand neben einem Park.

Schon nach dem Einchecken beim Weg zu den Zimmern war der Teppich, der die Treppe nach oben führte, widerlich verdreckt und voller Flecken. Der Gang zum Zimmer führte diese fort. An den Deckenelementen waren Wasserflecken sichtbar. Überall Risse in den Wänden, blätternder Putz. Kabel die aus den Wänden ragten, was sich auch im Zimmer so weiterzog. Im Badezimmer lagen Klopapierfetzen hinter der Tür. Die Toilettenbrille wies Blutflecken auf. Die Wände waren fleckig. Der "Meerblick" in diesem Zimmer war durch Rohre und Klimaanlagen-Außengeräte versperrt, die die ganze Zeit auch surrten. Wir haben versucht, das Zimmer zu wechseln, wurde uns aber verwehrt, da angeblich alles ausgebucht. Wir sind früher abgereist.

Very good value for money and well positioned only a short walk into town.

Location - excellent. Staff - extremely professional and incredibly helpful. Hotel - Spotless.

I liked absolutely nothing about this place

The place is way over priced, the room was dirty, very poorly decorated and looked like a one start hotel definitely not a three star. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Location fantastic, so near to a beautiful beach ! So near to town and the bus station to all areas of the North East. A great family fun park opposite our hotel . All couldn’t be better . The staff are so friendly and helpful, the young receptionist carried my bags up and down the stairs for me , couldn’t ask for more .

All the staff was so friendly but in particular the man on reception upon checking us in and out. Could not do enough to help, so friendly as we arrived and made my daughter who's 9th birthday it was feel like a Princess, so amazing. Night time reception man was amazing too, getting us cold ice water etc... when bar was shut. Location us just perfect, right next to fair and beach. Amazing breakfast, man on reception recommended the loaded hash browns and they didn't disappoint. My eldest daughter is celiac and they had a good range for her, for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Nothing we loved it all

Breakfast wasn’t that good, after staying here before we are used to this. Only on this occasion the plates and food were colder than expected, and the toast was so under done it wasn’t really toast. Hence not a lot was eaten. I think the staff had more on there hands sorting out the lighting as most of the lamps had failed at the same time. Our room was in the car park rooms which was fine, once we got rid of the spiders hanging from the ceilings. Anyway, the gentleman on reception was extremely helpful, and even carried my case to our room.

The bedroom (207) was unbelievably warm. There was a fan in the room but this just pushed the warm air around. Trouble sleeping

MISLEADING ROOM PHOTOS! The room we received was materially different from their advertised room photos on Booking.com for the room type we booked. The actual room we received was in a much lower quality and very dated room than any of the advertised photos. The bathroom was completely different! We reached out the reception immediately but they told us that they have got very few rooms actually align their advertised photos, while they were unable to move us to a different room because the hotel was fully booked. They wouldn’t provide any solution or refund and didn’t even apologize! The room itself is small and dirty. There was no AC and it gets insanely hot during night even with the windows opened. Outside is a very noise street with car racing at mid night. I was fooled by their room photos to book the hotel for holiday and they absolutely ruined it!

The propery is close to the fun fair, beech and arcades. Hotel is nice, breakfast was good. Bathrooms could do with an update, but quite comfortable for one night.

Breakfast was excellent. I had the full English on the first morning, eggs Benedict second morning and an omelette (huge) on third morning. All were superb. Our room looked newly decorated and the carpet looked new.

The only small thing was that I thought that the stairs carpet looked a bit grubby and could do with a good clean.

Very clean & comfortable room. Shower powerful with plenty of hot water. High quality toiletries. I liked the blackout blinds, they seem more efficient than curtains.

Hotel liegt direkt am Strand. 10 Minuten Fußweg bis Town Centre. Zimmer war einfach eingerichtet aber sauber. Perfekt für ein Weekend. Frühstück war sehr gut. Gute Auswahl auch Veganer Frühstück vorhanden. Mitarbeiter freundlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent.

Ein Safe im Zimmer hat gefehlt.

It's location was excellent. Close to all amenities. Restaurants, bars and the shops. It has parking . There is a bar and food options if you preferred to stay in. Had a breakfast which was good value. All in all a good night away.

Room was very clean, but could do with curtains as the light came through the sides of the blinds very early. The toilet rim hadn't been cleaned either. But to be fair everything else was good.

Arrived to a dirty toilet (with poo marks) and dirty clothes cupboard. Room was not made up properly in between - bedding didn’t seem to be changed. Bed was not comfortable and sound carried between rooms.

The staff was very helpful. The ground floor was very modern.

It was not clean. My plug in the bat/shower had hair in it and the water stayed in the bath rather then flowing out. The side of the bath had marks on it where bttlea had stood, so hadn't been cleaned.

They take £100 of your card as a holding deposit despite you already having paid for the room. Staff were quite short with you too

Street racers in beach parking racing by with acceleration their tuned cars every night (also during the week) until at least 04.00 am. Carpets could need a refresh and bathrooms an upgrade.

Came with my granddaughter for a night away, in hotel in perfect position, all staff extremely friendly, breakfast was absolutely beautiful, slept like a baby bed was comfortable and room was very quiet no noise heard from other guests

Location was excellent and with plenty of amenities including lovely local park and beach extremely close by, room was large and bed was comfortable. Bathroom included bath and was large. Staff were lovely!! Breakfast was spectacular for price and freshly cooked with cold options like pastry and cereal and juice before hand!

Cold taps didn’t work In bathroom, there was a stain on one of the radiator covers that looked like blood - not ours! Staff responded to tap in bathroom no other rooms available so had to manage, only noted the ?blood after staff had left the room in the evening. Reported it on leaving and received an apology.

Great location for us as we were visiting ocean beach with the kids and it was straight over the road from it! staff were very helpful Fans where included in the rooms which was a plus also

Bar closing at 10 pm at a hotel you are paying to stay in is not acceptable. Hotel has seen better days, it's a bit tired looking. I did only pay for single rooms, but they were on the small size and the bed had a very uncomfortably thin mattress. On the pus side, the water pressure was very good in the bathroom. Room was badly decorated. The rooms were on the side of the hotel that faced the main road and the park, but I did not find noise an issue.

Most things in the room were broken, the shower didn’t drain so had to keep turning it off and wait while water slowly ran away or it would flood the bathroom. Toilet seat broken, taps moved, etc. The room wasn’t cleaned or topped up with etc items over the whole 3 night stay. Absolutely terrible.

Our room was in a chalet type area next to the main building. It had a smell of drains. The roof in the toilet was damaged and the shower curtains all mildew around the bottom.

Valance sheet was dirty with what appeared to be food like substance sprayed across it. Carpets need cleaning. Livk of paint needed as walls were grubby.

It is very dated, rooms are so small and so uncomfortably hot I could barely sleep. Needs to have curtains in the room because the blinds just let all the light in. The bed was uncomfortable.

My room was very hot, it was not helped by the weather so not in anyone’s control. But the boy racers driving up and down the road at all hours meant I couldn’t have the windows open and there was no fan.

It's July, a heatwave... and what's turned up to the max? The heating. The radiator thermostat control is broken. There are no free rooms. Apparently another room has complained about this. "I'll check the boiler" comes to nothing. At least they gave me another fan which helped. Dirty carpet on the staircase. Seat in the room has crumbs and marks on it. A hair in the bed.

Great location the beach and the sea are just across the road, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's a perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway for a few days. My room was in the annex next to the main hotel, which actually worked out really well for me. It was close to the car park, so I could simply step out of the room and be outside straight away.Overall, everything was great. The only thing I would say is that the bathroom could do with a little refurbishment. The air conditioning worked perfectly, there was a modern TV, and the room itself was nice. With a small investment, the décor could be updated to give it a more modern look. Very comfy bed. Nothing to complain, if I'll be back there I will choose this place again :)

It is central to everything in southsheilds on the seafront .The bed was very comfortable with white sheets and bedding .I would stay again if in the area .

We were on the top floor, and they didn't have a lift, so not good for carrying cases up.the man on the desk offered to carry them up. Would be no good for anyone with walking difficulties .

Seagull nest on roof outside of room window with 3 young seagulls in plus parent. Due to heat we had to sleep with the window open but struggled to get much sleep due to noise from the seagulls. Roof should have netting installed to stop seagulls landing on it/nesting. Coffee served at breakfast was clearly instant coffee. This is fine for complimentary coffee in the room but for breakfast I would have expected bean to cup or filter coffee as a minimum. Breakfast cheese omelette very bland. Room was dated with repairs required in bathroom and in need of modernisation which should include insulation of an air conditioning unit.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in - there was nothing to like

The hotel room was absolutely filthy , the bathroom had the strongest smell or urine . It was boiling hot - I asked for a fan & begrudgingly the receptionist gave me theirs as it was the only one they had. I complained to booking.com & to the hotel - was told I would get a call from the manager & I am still waiting. The plug socket was hanging off the wall in the bedroom. It was hotter in the room than outside! There were hairs in the bathroom that were not mine , there was rubbish in the bathroom that had not been cleaned from the previous occupant. And the smell of urine was disgusting . There was also black mould around the bath & the shower tray was dirty. Stains on the carpet , the walls & the furniture. I would not recommend this hotel to stay - it is a health hazard & the staff clearly don’t care or do their jobs correctly . So dissatisfied & disappointed.
