Beautiful hotel in a historic location. Welcoming and helpful staff. Spacious room (suite).

Parking lot - although the hotel reserves a spot for you, it is not adjacent to the property and non guests might just take the empty spots…

Ubicación y encanto. Hotel histórico ( estuvo la Queen!) muy bien decorado estilo Art Deco. El personal es muy simpático.

La puerta ventana de la habitación da a un patio muy bonito ( con vistas al océano) el problema es cuando otros clientes del hotel se sientan delante de tu puerta pegados a tu habitación ( no deberían poner sillas delante de las habitaciones)

A fabulous room in a lovely Art Deco Hotel. The location was amazing with ocean views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved this art deco beauty. Everything was on point and so tastefully decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Great rooms, restored but ‘modern’ comfortable!! Period furniture around the hotel, hallways, rooms etc is a great look.

Great location, love the Art Deco decor and the shower pressure was sensational.

The art deco design and decor is very well done. Unfortunately there was a very loud party on my first night. When I called downstairs, the staff dealt with the situation immediately and offered to upgrade me and move me to another room. Ate in the in-house restaurant, food was very good as was service.

I didn’t like the shower, great pressure but couldn’t move it and it was positioned to spray straight at my head.

From the moment I arrived I loved the energy and the vibe and the staff were so helpful - allowing me to stay a bit longer parked out front to unload before moving to the parking lot which they provided directions for (and it was only a block away) - the area was amazing and there was so much to do nearby

The room was fantastic stayed in Jean Batten Suite. Views to ocean awesome, 2 bathrooms separate sitting room . Restaurant options were great with plenty of options . Staff throughout stay polite and extremely helpful

Perfect location for the Art Deco Centre. The The hotel was really stylish and lots of detail for the period feel. Loved the feel of the hotel. The room was clean and loved the bright colours. Comfortable bed and quite night. The staff have been very helpful and thoughtful. We have had breakfast and evening meals. All excellent.

Stunning refurb of this Art deco treasure - gorgeous foyer and decor in the hotel with very central location in the heart of the Art Deco centre of Napier, and with roof top garden looking out to the seafront. Very relaxing and pleasant with authentic character features.

There was no parking in front of the building to drop off our luggage so parked a few mins away (which was fine as we didn’t have much luggage).

I didn’t like the very small bathroom I couldn’t close the shower door if I closed the shower door it was that small it turned off the water

We stayed in the Anna Povlova suite - a beautiful high-quality set of rooms overlooking the sea - spacious bedroom with comfortable king-size bed, ensuite shower & loo, twin sinks, separate bathroom, bath, loo & sink, spacious sitting room with fridge and tea/coffee making - and with door out to the veranda and roof-top seating. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. The cost for all this was less than $200/night (off peak), amazingly good value. We enjoyed an evening meal with local wine. Again, beautifully prepared and served, and not expensive. The staff were excellent. We highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at your establishment more times than I care to remember and it has always, always been one of my favorite places to rest my head. It is so comfortable and close to everything I need. The service is always superb and the rooms are so welcoming. My first choice every time.

Decor was authentically art decor, beautiful rooms. Staff were very friendly and professional. Bar and restaurant were beautiful. Great value for money considering the quality of furnishing and location.

We had takeaway breakfast that was made fresh the night before. Only very small criticism is the drinks were in containers that leaked. Parking was on the street, metered.

The historic property is awesome. Loved staying in the Anna Pavlova suite and balcony over looking the seafront is awesome!

Hotel offered most of what we needed. We are sports followers and wanting to watch semi finals of rugby, nothing available either in our room or the bar area. We had to go to the local pub.

Was lovely location and rooms were great too. The terrace balcony was the best part - could drink morning coffee looking at the sunrise :)

Only downside was minimal staff available. Never appeared to be anyone around. When I first arrived I waited about 10 minutes before a staff member appeared to check me in.

Bathroom fan was hopeless so when taking a bath the room steamed up and then proceeded to drip cold water from the ceiling. Shower head was also hopeless - felt like I was constantly being sprayed in the face, couldn’t change direction enough and logged noddles making the water sorry in every direction, really not a pleasant shower experience.

We had a wonderful stay in the Mark Twain suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the suite was lovely.

It was a very quiet weekend in Napier so not many guests.

There was a musty smell in the lobby and the room was slightly dusty.
