Personally would love to book a room that wasn’t a shower over the bath

Beds were comfy, room clean, bathroom great, had everything we needed. Lovely view of the coast. Staff were very friendly. Great location.

Nice location, close to the ocean, views were good, room was average, fit for purpose. Appeared clean and tidy. We loved the nice chairs and a table situated by the window, very practical and well placed

We had a light that was illuminating a sculpture pointed at our window from the outside, annoying. bathroom a little primitive, shower curtain kept shutting in the door. fan heater on the wall, dated and cheap. My experience working in the health field with the older adults falls and fractures, an over the bath shower could be dangerous for elderly people to access, grab rail alright but more support for people exiting the bath , walk in wet floor shower area more appropriate. Bathroom need upgrading. An Occupational Therapist assessment of the bathroom might be worth while

The location and the views

The renovation work was very loud, only for a few minutes, but it woke me up as I was taking advantage of having a 2 night stop over and sleep in!

So welcoming, friendly, and amazing outlook across the water. Fantastic to have a lovely restaurant on site.

Our room had a lovely view, and was very relaxing, we normally stay here when in Napier very clean room and a lovely restaurant, easy walking distance to towns centre.

Got a little rowdy outside on Friday night but the Warriors had a good win that night. I didn’t realise I could order breakfast off the menu. I would have preferred to do that but the poached egg the staff made me was excellent. The notice in room for laundry suggested that if we had laundry down by 8.30 it could be collected at 4pm but it seemed that was not standard and dry cleaner had to be called by reception to do an urgent request. Not sure if there was additional cost for that or not, so was a little misleading. They did a good job though.

Amazing views, nice people at front desk. The room was laid out well, and I liked the sitting area by the window. Location is unbeatable.

Shower was very high pressure and very narrow, almost to the point of being painful, and that also made it cold because only part of you was under the shower at any given moment. Also, the breakfast was very bad. I paid half price and still felt slighted. Finally, the plug situation for charging phones, etc. was not good. The outlets by the bed were impossible to use because they were blocked by the bedframe.

On the water front. Modern and spacious. Free parking.

The location was perfect opposite the sea yet near to town . Good food for be Breakfast and dinner so no need to go out at night. Comfy big bed very nice toiletries in the bathroom.

Broken blind in the room and I manage a walk in shower not a shower over the bath.

I understand it was a cold snap but the fact you cant control temp in own room was surprising and disappointing. Yes they turned it up, but the room was still not warm enough. The breakfast was also disappointing. Reasonable choice but sausages were not warm and some were almost charcoal like on 1 side. Coffee also not hot. Pity because so much potential and not as good as last time I stayed. Still good but should be better.

The place is very accessible to food shops and stalls.

Close to the venue of our event across the road

Modern, clean and very comfortable room. An exceptional view over Napier Bay. A short walk to town and all the restaurants. Car parking was available.

They accused us of smoking in room when we dont even smoke

Breakfast was great even better when you can use your gold card to get 10 % off your meals.location is great close to everything.

I booked this room as a last minute getaway for my sons wedding anniversary. I had called your staff 3 hours prior to their arrival & advised that a cot was necessary in the room. When my daughter went to Reception to check in, the Receptionist told her next time to call earlier to request the cot!!! Wasn't happy with that AT ALL!! As I had arranged this booking & I told Reception that!!!!🤬😡

Being told that our upgrade was free when we had already paid $50 for it! Breakfast was very average and the hotel tried to charge us for 4 breakfasts when we only had 2

Beautiful views from our room. Staff were great especially we checked in quite late.

Food on buffet breakfast took them half an hour to refill. Food was below average. The double beds are smaller than most hotels of same rating.

The view was amazing and they offer 24 hour room service. Bonus of a stocked mini fridge. You can chrome cast to the TV which was fantastic.

Cleaning staff took forever we had to keep checking if they cleaned it 2.30pm still hadn't been done. This was really the only thing I didn't enjoy. We were on the 5th floor but overall the place was lovely.

What a lovely hotel to stay at. The room was warm. Location was Handy to everything. The real bonus was being able to take our dog with us to stay. We loved it and she loved it. We had room service dinner each night and the food was great and the service was great. The buffet breakfast was lovely as well. Will definitely stay again

Great location. Decor looking a bit tired. Staff responsive and helpful. Air-conditioning units are in need of upgrade. Not working effectively. One room of 2 booked was changed due to noisy and not running on heating. The other rooms unit worked but not all that well. Nice to have on site restaurant even though we didn't use it

Marine parade can be noisy overnight in the weekend.
