The rooms were spacious and clean, the area quiet and lovely. There is plenty of space to park the car. The food was delicious - we had a great dinner and breakfast, with gluten free options. The overall ambience was great.

Bar closed at 10pm on a Friday night, even though we were residents. Litter blowing around outside entrance to accommodation block.

The room was spotless, comfortable and very accessible, I have difficulty with mobility at times so the wheel in shower room was perfect. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The village and surrounding area is beautiful, exactly what we were looking for. If you're wanting somewhere with lots going on around you, its probably not for you. But if you're after a lovely peaceful break it's perfect.

It's a lovely place we've stayed at before. Dinner and breakfast were both lovely, nice size car park, staff friendly

Pillows were a little flat and not too soft, and there was some sort of delivery at 4am to the property right outside, which obviously woke us up.

We could hear everything happening in the room next to us re kettle, toilet, shower. So was awoken earlier than we wanted to be up.

A great stay, it’s a lovely pub/hotel in a very quiet village location. Rooms are in an annex off of the very spacious Car Park. Spaces available directly outside the 2 storey bedrooms. Room was nice, well equipped, coffee maker included & we had very nice small shower room. Staff are so friendly & helpful & the pub has a really lovely atmosphere. The food was especially good, lots of choice - we loved the Featherblade; it was presented so nicely & tasted amazing. Desserts were also very nice, especially the Chocolate Brownie.

Couldn't get served at the bar as everyone was sat at the bar and the Barmaid couldn't see people waiting to get served. Waited 20mins then gave up.

In a lovely little village. Easy parking right outside the rooms. friendly welcome when we booked in. Rooms were next door to each other. Very comfy. Nice and roomy. Home from home. Meals were great. We had dinner both nights and breakfast - excellent food and chef. It was dog friendly too and we had a lovely evening with a spaniel puppy and her people. Locals were friendly too.

Able to stay with our granddaughter in a 3 bed family room after a wedding nearby. Very clean lots of toiletries and refreshments provided. Good choice for breakfast.

Breakfasr was good the room was comfy and clean however the sound proofing between rooms was very poor.

Soundproofing was an issue very noisy that upset our sleeping patterns overall a positive experience

Would have been nice to have sky sports available to watch the game, instead of wondering where to watch it.

We were able to check in at 11am for a small reasonable charge which was very much appreciated. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

It would have been good to have the heating turned on prior to our arrival as it was very chilly. It was very cosy once it had warmed up.

The decor and how comfortable the room was & the facilities. I like it that the rooms are separate from the pub. Everything was very clean

We needed an overnight whilst travelling up to Edinburgh and the Beresford Arms was perfect, good parking, lovely village, had an excellent meal in the restaurant and a proper Northumberland Breakfast in the morning. Would have been good to have longer in Whalton but time was tight

The Beresford Arms was a great place to stay. I was a delayed arrival (arrived at 8:20 pm) and the owner arranged for me to have a hot meal waiting for me on my arrival despite their kitchen closing at 7:45pm. This was very much appreciated and on top of that the food was excellent, The atmosphere of the establishment was warm and friendly. Excellent all round

The space was brilliant for a family, we only stayed one night so didn’t utilise all the facilities. Very comfortable and the staff were friendly. The decor in the main part was really fun and different.

It was a little bit noisy with guests above us.

The whole expeeience was excellent. We stayed there the evening Storm Amy came in & in the morning the staff made sure we were o.k after the storm and gave us details on any road issues for our onward journey. Very caring and professional staff - the food was amazing value for money

Lovely rural location in a picturesque traditional stone built village but not far from the market town of Morpeth. Lovely and warm with a welcoming log fire.

The decor in the room itself, great facilities (coffee machine, great choice of tea), a lot of storage, the sheet with info of things to do in the area, emphasis on sustainability, breakfast was good

A fabulous room in a lovely location, warm, clean with an immaculate ensuite bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful and despite the excellent value for money room price it included a delicious breakfast

Room was cosy and bed very comfortable. Lovely food served at the restaurant (booking recommended) - very tasty and good sized portions. Really good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

Could hear people in the other room (footsteps, talking) but didn’t take too much away from our enjoyment of staying there.

As I can't manage stairs very well, we were put in a stables suite. The room was large and had a huge accessible wet room. The room was clean, however, when I bent down to pick up something I had dropped, I noticed cobwebs between the bed and the wall. There were no pillow protectors on the pillows, which I think is a must for any hotel or B&B. Having said that, it was still an exceptional stay. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

The food menu, for us, was pretty limiting, as we ate plain eaters and most things were pretty fancy. Again, having said that, we still managed to enjoy dinner on the 3 nights that we stayed.

All the food was excellent. Wide choice of breakfasts and well selected, prepared, cooked and presented meals. Also a pleasant bar. All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, with everything we could expect

I dislike UHT milk in tea, though I realise that it is not easy to provide fresh milk in each room. (I am sure the staff would have given fresh milk had I asked for it)

We stayed in Room 1 - 2 single beds as requested and very comfortable. The bathroom lacks flat spaces near the washbasin - the only space available is behind the wc. The window needs some work - the top reluctant to open.
