Great room with fab river view - and jacuzzi on the balcony!

Location with the view of the Mekong River is fantastic. Staff are excellent. Room was clean and comfortable.

After two weeks travelling in Thailand I was disappointed with most of Chiang Khong but not this hotel, which was amazing. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Staff were incredibly attentive throughout, in the reception, bar and dining room. They arranged a massage in my room, helped me out with something I needed when shops were closed (they have a small onsite shop) and could t have been nicer. I loved the styling of the rooms and the tiles in my bathroom were beautiful. That was quite possibly the most comfortable I’ve slept in whilst in Thailand as it had a mattress topper and soft pillows! My final breakfast and they surprise me with a cute fruit dish.

Lovely hotel with a stunning view over the Mekong... Especially the infinity pool . Food, sunbed and restaurant are were all good , again enjoying the setting.

We stayed 2 nights before doing the 2D/1N Mekong River Cruise. It was nice just to walk along the riverfront or chill out on our balcony. Breakfast was very good & there were a number of choices to choose from. The staff were very friendly & helpful @ the reception & res’t. Our room was very comfortable. We loved having dinner overlooking the Mekong River!

Decent Hotel in Chiang Khong with a beautiful view to Laos on the other side of the Mekong river. Room was very clean, we had a bathtub on our balcony. The staff was extreamly friendly and helpful, we would come back any time. The restaurant has a beautiful view to Laos and the river. Also here, an extreamly friendly staff! Anytime again!

My fourth or fifth stay here and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Chiang Kong. (I did stay somewhere else once and would never go back there!) Chiang Kong Teak Garden is a series of lovely bungalows overlooking the Mekong River. Pool, bar and very good restaurant with decent wine list, ales it number one in town. Easy access and parking. Great for solo, couples of groups.

Nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Gorgeous infinity pool and terrace where we ate dinner. Breakfast was good, with made to order omelettes ! We were only there 1 night before our Mekong river cruise but its location next to the river gave us wonderful views of the sunset and sunrise.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing. We rented ebikes from the hotel reception, they were reasonably priced and fun to go along the promenade and around town. Friendly staff and really nice food. Good sekection at breakfast.

The room facilities were unfortunately very outdated... Service was not very individualised, well organised and the restaurant was borderline overstretched. It is more suitable as a hotel for one night on the onward journey to Laos. Nice pool with a great view of the Mekong, only a few sunbeds available.

客房有分兩區，一區是獨立的客房，類似Resort。有陽台，river view 的客房靠河邊很近，加上綠蔭扶疏，覺得很貼近當地的自然環境。適合longstay 的輕鬆融入感。 另一區則是現代化的飯店客房，設備較新，檔次高一些，色彩鮮豔活潑，riverview 客房的大陽台上有個大的圓形浴缸可供泡澡時看河景。浴室比獨立客房區大，跟住一般星級飯店一樣的可以享受設施。但感覺房外景致跟房內的我沒有連結。舒適度來說，飯店區客房舒服。這兩區都可以享受飯店所有的設施。若是以親近當地環境而言，獨立客房比較溫馨，有家的感覺 。以上純屬個人感受，非絕對。

Les bungalow sont dans leur « jus » et un peu anciens , salle de bains ..mauvais éclairage, wc fuite d’eau , mais jolie vue sur le Mékong Communication avec le personnel difficile ( anglais !! ) Petit déjeuner correct Belle piscine moderne

Sit in the outside round bath, drink in hand watching the Mekong flow past and Thai & Laos fishermen fishing... Life does not get much better for me :) The rooms are great ample free space and each year they upgrade something in the rooms. The morning Breakfast is a sumptuous feast with a vast choice of Hot Thai foods plus and Egg station to cook eggs your choice and your way. Staff are always Fantastic - ask and you will get. Nothing is too much trouble here. We will be back again Cool Season 2025 2026

The Teak Gardens is a lovely place to stay in Chiang Kong. It’s a lovely property overlooking the Mekong River. Staff is kind and friendly, food was good. I stayed here for 10 days while doing a VISA run to Laos. My only small complaint was that the cafe did not have watermelon juice. lol…. The Onsen is nice touch and surprised to find. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

Pleasant clean Hotel, our cosy room was riverside with balcony. Restaurant was riverside and catered for local cuisine Breakfast offered western dishes from an egg station. Staff were very accommodating, we wished to move on the next day, however it was a public holiday Currency Exchange were closed so they offered to take us to our next destination for a competitive price and add the cost to our hotel account

I really enjoyed my stay at the Teak Hotel. It’s right on the Mekong River which is amazing. It’s a well kept place, clean, very nice staff, breakfast was good (not great) and I ate lunch there (was good) a lot. The room is clean. Beds are a little hard but not too bad. It’s quiet and has a walk way along the river which is good. Good place to stay

Great boutique hotel located in a central area of the city. We stayed for one night as we were crossing border the next day. Food is local and western dishes. Pool perfectly situated looking out over the Mekong River. We didn’t do much in the city except walk a little along the river and on the Main Street in town. Only saw one place for massages and it had a wait. Hotel offers massages in your room at a fair price. We opted for 6th floor room looking out over the river with bathtub on the balcony. Bed was comfy and the view from the tub was fabulous!

We had a river front room which was great. It was wondrful to sit on the balcony and watch the river activity. If there is one complaint it is that it was difficult to get a cocktail around the pool during the day, seems no one is tending the bar during the day.

Super hotel overlooking Mekong river with Laos on the other side. Had a bath on the balcony which made it different. Good breakfast choice. Stayed overnight on our motorcycle tour of Thailand and Vietnam.

Lovely onsen and riverside views (+walking path) here! The room was clean and comfy, with a balcony bathtub... Restaurant was tasty, but everything took a very long time. Might want to avoid it if they have large groups in the party rooms, as those were a clear priority. If you're a large group, though, this is definitely a great choice!

we have stayed here many times in the past. the property is very nice and clean. the decors are nice. the view is amazing. the pool is beautiful and well maintained. they even hv an onsen inside the property. highly recommended

Comfy beds, hot shower, fantastic wifi and very attentive staff! Breakfast was extremely well put together, a little of something for everyone. Pool with river view was a bonus.

What a pleasant surprise this place was. My wife, her sister and a cousin and I booked two rooms on the Mekong River side and found it was well worth it for the view alone. We also enjoyed a very nice al fresco dinner at the hotel's restaurant, seated next to the pool. Chiang Khong is a bit of a drive north of Chiang Rai in Chiang Rai Province, quite close to the Golden Triangle borders with Myanmar and Laos. We weren't there for the onsen, which was fortunate because some kind of renovations were going on and it wouldn't have been available. The Teak Garden had a very nice and helpful front desk staff, and the place has very interesting foliage (notably the teak trees after which it is named). They also provided packaged goods for visitors who wanted to greet the local monks in the morning and give them an offering of food and other items, which this "farang" thought was a nice touch.

Excellent staff and service

We only stayed for 1 night before crossing over into Laos. The hotel totally surprised me. The staff were so helpful. The restaurant was really good and the views were stunning being right on the Mekong looking over into Laos. We stayed in a riverview room in the resort side of the hotel - the room was very nice, very clean and had everything we needed and the view from the balcony was amazing. I hope to come back to Chiang Khong and stay at the Teak Garden for a few days to really enjoy the hotel and the town.

One of the most comfortable hotels in the area, very nice atmosphere and the view is incredible. Good breakfast, friendly service, and beautiful pool. I'd recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We were surprised! What a nice hotel. Beautiful location with an amazing terrace above the Mekong with the pool and the restaurant. Nice rooms. Really very good breakfast with a breathtaking view across the river to Laos.

Room # 606 x 3 Nights / Booked via Agoda ( River View Room ) We drive 3 days to come here once a year for a few days in the cool season. It is always a treat. Staff so friendly. Rooms relaxing, clean and modern in a traditional way. Bed so so comfortable. We always book the River View room with a Bathtub on the Balcony - nothing better that that!!! Chiang Khong is quiet and calm - this is reflected in the hotel too. Free Parking onsite. A Big C mini supermarket has just opened up 200 metres away.... We will be back this time next year.....

I spent one night here with my daughter. You can blame it on Covid-19, if you wish, but absolutely nothing was open here. I booked specifically for the pool but it was closed. No restaurant, nothing to do and very unhelpful staff, if you could find them. They couldn’t even provide toilet paper for my room and when I called reception, no answer. No breakfast provided. Gave us rooms with the worst possible view even though we were the only guests staying that night. I understand the economy is in doldrums and business is very slow. I understand tourists are few and far between. But for those of us who are trying to support this industry and these businesses, why can’t they be more accommodating and supportive rather than indifferent and lazy? There are much better options in Chiang Khong than this faded pearl.

Had a lovely room overlooking the river which had a balcony with a table and chairs for admiring the view over the river to Laos. Just an overnight stay before going on our river cruise but the staff were nice, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Stayed one night. Used the pool, cold but great view over the Mekong to Laos. Good size room with circular bath on balcony. Good but unremarkable food in restaurant. Good variety for breakfast.

das ehemalige Ibis Styles ist immer noch ein brauchbares Hotel mit bequemen Betten und ausreichend grossem Zimmer. Wasser im Pool war etwas schmutzig, kein Wunder, wenn einige thailändische Gäste meinen, Ihre Schuhe darin waschen zu müssen, wie von mir beobachtet. Frühstücksbüffett ganz ok, wenn auch nichts besonderes, typisch Thai halt. danke für das Zimmer im 6.OG mit tollem Blick nach Laos !!

2nd Visit - Just had to Return to Relax, Enjoy Life here..... Room # 403 - 2 x Night Stay Wow what a stay we enjoyed. I had expectation ( for the price we paid ) but they were blown away = Amazing Hotel. The room was Fantastic - Modern, Clean, Comfortable and the Mekong Water View the best ever! Bathing, with a drink in your hand, watching the boating activity on the Mekong was fantastic..... Could not have been better. All staff interactions were Positive and Friendly - this Hotel knows how to do Customer Service well. If there was anything the hotel could do better, it is the breakfast buffet. Don't get me wrong it was good, however for the $$'s paid I myself would have liked to have had the choice also of a Croissant, Muffin or a little slice of cake. 100% would be happy to book and stay here again

The hotel looks newly renovated and the main facilities are good. However, quite a fair bit of construction ongoing around the hotel, making it a bit dusty. The beds and rooms are great. However, the room lighting could be better as they are rather dim.

Très bon hôtel, chambre confortable et moderne, calme, belle piscine sur le Mekong. Petit déjeuner succinct pour les occidentaux et ne pas aller au restaurant cher et médiocre.

We stayed here for one night before crossing the border into Laos. A really nice hotel with lovely views of the Mekong River. The grounds are spectacular with an infinity pool. Staff were super-friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very varied buffet. I had a cooked to order omelet which was delicious.

Fabulous pool with amazing view of the Mekong River and long opening hours (6am to 10pm) for swimming. I’d recommend a room with river view as the garden view was more of a carpark view. Lots of choice for breakfast if you get there early enough - otherwise things run out. Great value for money overall. Visit the Bamboo Mexian Restaurant next door for amazing bread and bagels.

Smiling, helpful and nice staff. Basic english is spoken by some of the staff. Inifinity pool was nice and clean (!). The delux room was spotless and good. Bed not so hard as elsewhere on Thailand. Though the pillow was too high and hard, so had to sleep without a pillow. All in all well worth the money and would definately stay again.
