Everything was absolutely amazing
Nothing
Cleanliness
Manager speaks no English and not cuatomer oriented. Staff very poor
we stayed for a night after 2 night stays on top of Huangshan, it wa great place to wind down, the staff was very helpful when we found out one of our rooms was in a smoking floor and we have children in the room- They provided a new room for us to change.
nothing
Convenient
No air conditioner for winter time. Some rooms are super hot and cannot sleep well
C’est un Etablissement pour les congress et conventions , pas pour un sejour Privé
Rooms were clean, facilities were good, staff were very friendly
Chambre avec vue, literie, petit déjeuner et proximité avec les montagnes jaunes. Les explications du personnel de l'hôtel ont été précieuses également.
Mettre les photos des plats pour le restaurant. Nous n'avons pas vraiment aimé les plats.
We stayed 3 nights and had an overall pleasant experience. The staffs are friendly and services are good. The lady at the restaurant for breakfast
All was good
Friendly staff Clean room All good
The hotel is nice and well-located. Easy to get a taxi. The breakfast spread was great! The hotel service staff are friendly and helpful.
The location is not within walking distance of Tunxi Old street. The rooms are spacious and bed really comfortable. They have a nice spa at the ground floor which was great after our Huanghan mountain climb. Buffet spread was good but really crowded if you go during peak hours.
Nothing.
The staff organized for trips that required WeChat only bookings and found us drivers to take us around( less than tours). We comfortably saw a lot of things plus Huangshan mountain from one gate
离景区太远,星际高,但是设施老旧。
I found us excellent for the low price. We didn't use any services or meals, just the room overlooking Huangshan which was good. The building is a bit dated but kept in shape. It is more like a conference hotel to host masses of people. There was a wedding happening but didn't disturb anyone. I would recommend. Cleaning staff extremely friendly and helpful. Bit outside of the touristy town so you need a Didi or a long walk along the river but also around the hotel there are restaurants and supermarkets/shops within minutes of walking.
Very good
No more know English here
This hotel was booked by the travel company (Laurus Travel of Vancouver), so I can't comment on the prices, but it was certainly a very good hotel. It's in a newer area of the city, about 4 km from the 'old town', but it was very convenient for the day trips to Huangshan Mountain and Hongcun. The regional high-speed train station (Huangshanbei) is about 20 km away from the hotel; I'm not sure how easy it is to get taxis to the hotel, as the driver for the tour took me to the hotel. The rooms are fairly standard Crowne Plaza rooms, large, with a good work desk area and a large modern bathroom. The room was very quiet, and everything was clean. There was a good supply of complimentary bottled water in the room. The breakfast buffet was very good, although not quite up to the standard of the better hotels in Shanghai. Be prepared to be one of the only visibly non-Chinese people at breakfast; this beautiful area has apparently not yet been really discovered by tourists from outside of China. Despite that, they had a good selection of western-style breakfast foods, as well as traditional Chinese breakfast foods. The front-desk staff were very courteous and helpful. Some spoke a bit of English, but it's best to have your cellphone handy with a translation app. (They will have translation apps on their cellphones too, so you can have a complicated conversation in that way). The cover picture for tripadvisor gives the impression that this hotel is by a lake; it's not, but it's about 100 m from the Xin'an River, and there is a nicely-landscaped park in front of the hotel. The only negative was that WIFI for the cellphone never worked, despite my best efforts and the best efforts of the front desk staff.
Great hotel near the Yellow Mountain. Very quiet and pretty area. Good services, nice people, good bar downstairs. Can host quite a number of people at any one time. Good restaruant. Beer was quite inexpensive in this location. Surprising in a 5star hotel.
들어가자마자 벌래 두머리가 딱 날 쳐다보는데, 순간 소름이 쫙~
Nice river view.
Have sports center
The staff can’t speak English
The location is good and I think the breakfast spread is nice. Overall, the hotel is large and the rooms are also good and comfortable as they are big and toilet is big too.
Disappointed in the sense that the Main Lobby and also the breakfast restaurant is not properly heated. Even the staff have to wear Overcoats indoor in the check in area and I could see that many of the staff in the restaurant was shivering. Did not want to stay in the Lobby area at all and would not even want to have a drink at the Bar as it is not comfortable. Breakfast spread was nice but it is difficult to enjoy the food when you are also shivering from the cold.
The environment is good, located by the river, and the service attitude is also very good. However, due to being very busy at the time, there was no free room upgrade. Everything else was pretty good, and the attitude was also very friendly.
The lobby design of the old-school five-star hotel is my favorite style, with a few big stones and a pool. The appearance of the hotel has the shadow of Huizhou architecture. Think about the hotel built more than ten years ago, and it is also very carefully designed. The hotel service is very intimate, and I feel that every hotel staff is working hard to help customers. I forgot to bring my swimming cap, and the pool staff lent me one so that I could enjoy swimming.
The hotel is located in the Xin 'an River, covers a large area, the appearance looks a bit of the local horsehead wall building style, the hotel lobby is very atmospheric room standard, reactive no work, toiletries is large packaging, should be for environmental protection considerations, but the quality is OK, the bedding is very comfortable, sleep very well. The window is the road, near the river side of the view should be good Like the lobby bar on the first floor of the hotel, a wooden house in the hotel, very atmospheric and yet simple and elegant, coffee is also very good to drink, sit down the atmosphere is very like The breakfast on the third floor, the variety meets the standard of the crown, and likes the leek naked cooked by his family, which is very local and delicious
The hotel environment is good, and the buffet is OK. When I checked in, the weather was bad. Almost all of them were in the hotel and didn't go out much. It's great to see the sunset in the room. The quality of the bedding is not bad, and the comfort is good.
The hotel lobby feels more atmospheric when entering the door, the Hui style of architecture is obvious, quite distinctive, the small cakes sold in the lobby bar are exquisite and good-looking, and the lobby bar service staff are also very enthusiastic. The restaurant staff is very active and enthusiastic. Just after getting off the elevator and not yet arriving at the restaurant, I saw the restaurant service staff smiling and saying good morning, which I did not expect. After entering the restaurant, I took a look at the variety of breakfast that is relatively rich, with local special snacks, waffles that are delicious, children love to eat, and noodles that are topped with delicious toppings. Take the initiative to ask me to eat this, there is no food what, green onion cilantro should not, very good.
The overall building of the hotel has a unique style, the lobby bar room in the hotel room form, Huizhou architecture is antique, there is no schedule in the afternoon can sit on a good place for friends to chat and drink tea in the afternoon. The overall service of the hotel is very good, everywhere the service staff are smiling to welcome, encounter problems are solved one by one; Together was the restaurant and room service, stayed for a few days and remembered the habits and preferences of all of us. The room faces the river, quiet and comfortable night sleep is particularly good, get up in the morning on the balcony and stretch the body, half night can also enjoy the sunset.
This is a very nice and very warm hotel. The waiter is polite and the guest room is comfortable. I like it very much. It has a clean and clear swimming pool. The restaurant is also very good. It's a pity that the weather is not good these days.
The lobby of the hotel was especially grand. The room size was in the middle, and the hotel had a heated swimming pool. The experience was good, as was the variety of breakfast. There was a special menu for members, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic, the concierge is very specific about travel and this hotel highly recommends it.
A very good hotel, the buffet dinner is very delicious. When I returned to my room after dinner, I put Dim sum on the bed and sent a Chinese style bookmark. The children liked it very much. The staff was very considerate and worth recommending
The hotel environment is good, the lobby is very beautiful, the accommodation experience is also good. The river view is really amzing. But because of the rain, we did not go out. I’m willing to come back next time.
I received a very friendly welcome. The concierge offered to help me with my luggage and showed me to my room,The room was large and very comfortable,Room service was also timely .The only pity is that I don't have time to go to the swimming pool to experience it.
Room n facilities are well maintained
Breakfast range n service can be better. Coffee was not easily available. More Western options.
The experience of staying at this hotel is particularly good. The waiters who come to collect laundry are very enthusiastic, and the clothes are washed clean and ironed smoothly. I really like this hotel and the waiters here
The location is near to the river that has a pedestrian walk with trees and plants along the way. Air is fresh and breezy. The hotel has a grand appearance at the lobby and my room is modern, clean, spacious and has a balcony overlooking the river.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked by the doorman and the bellhop who waited for us to take our heavy luggage down from the taxi without giving us a hand. On the first night we had our dinner at their Chinese restaurant and was again shocked by the waitress attitude, after being given the menu, she returned to get our orders within 5 minutes and I said we were not ready yet. She disappeared completely after a very long time. I noticed there were only about 3 tables in the big restaurant. I don't think they care about customer service and may not stay at this hotel again.
Terrific location, beautiful riverfront, friendly staff
Fixtures in the rooms are a bit dated, should provide pod coffee (nespresso) in rooms-not instant coffee, lighting was a bit dark. Lastly, pet policies should be clearly defined, one member in our family traveled with a small dog, on arrival, at check in, there was confusion (even though it was noted on our booking)
The hotel lobby is very grand, and the staff are extremely enthusiastic. My room also has a spacious balcony with a convenient river view. They even thoughtfully provided children's amenities. It's a fantastic hotel
Hotel environment: convenient transportation; Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy. Service: The level of service here is very high, and every employee we meet is excellent. The service was very warm and considerate and made my stay a perfect experience!
The hotel is very beautiful. The staff provide very professional service with me. In particular, the front desk staff told me how to go to Mount Huang. I will choose the hotel during my next travel in Huangshan.
Breakfast is great. Restaurant is also great.
Facility is a bit old.
Really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza Huangshan. The staffs were super helpful.
The service at the hotel is good. When we arrived there was a cute little stuffed monkey and a small jar of tea with a hand written welcome note waiting for us in our room. The breakfast is good with many choices.
Really impressed with the room and the hotels amenities. Staff was super helpful arranging transportation for me.
This is probably the best international standard hotel in Huangshan city! However, only a few staffs speak good English like Wil so it's kind of a struggle to communicate with other staffs even though they tried very hard to be helpful. Thanks to Wil, we got our train ticket booked and travel to mount Huangshan arranged! The hotel is very big and elegant. Room was nice and clean with nice view of the river. The seafood pizza we tried was good. However, the so called "mandarin fish" that I ordered at the Chinese restaurant was terrible. It smelled like rotten fish! Anyhow, this is probably the closest to international standard hotel as it gets. The hotel is about 5 min taxi ride to Tuxi Ancient street!
Hotel is nice next to s river. Room is spacious and bed is hugh. The only disappointment is the bath room not clean.
What I like: - big swimming pool - great gym facilities - nice lobby Check in staff originally placed in a smoking room, asked for an unreasonable big deposit (4000 yuan). After then we were allocated into a non-smoking room with better views. Room cleaning was excellent
Front desk staff at check-in require more training. They were slow and quite inflexible. I booked 3 nights stay over 2 bookings but they insisted that I can only add the extra night to my door card on the day I am supposed to check-in under the second booking rather than just taking as one continuous stay. Many other hotels internationally had been able to aggregate all bookings as 1 booking so I don't have to go back and add more nights to the room key. More importantly, I had to switch several rooms because even though I was given a room on a non-smoking floor with all non-smoking rooms, the hotel supplied ash trays in these rooms and previous guests had smoked in them. Some rooms smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. After 4 room changes within the non-smoking floor did they find me a room that didn't smell of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, that room had 2 single beds and not the King bed which I had booked. I settled for the single bed rather than chance a king bed in a smokey room. Front desk was quite useless until a young Lady Manager stepped in. She was superb in helping me sort out the rooms and was apologetic. The concierge Kelvin was more than helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the areas to travel to and helped arranged local travel. So it was not all bad. However, I am not sure I will return to stay at this hotel again because I want to avoid getting non-smoking rooms that smelled of cigarette smoke.
Convenient location, spacious room, helpful staff, free parking
It was a beautiful property overlooking the stream and mountains. Very clean rooms and excellent breakfast buffet.
This was the second time we stayed in this hotel and the experience was generally positive. Our guide said we chose the best one in town and it was very affordable for a very spacious hotel. Very modern and generally clean but some polish is required in the rooms. Couches a little worn looking. Also local tourists create a lot of smoke and noise. Not sure what a hotel can do about that though. Overall would probably stay again.
A very spacious affordable and well located that should be luxurious and comfortable. This expectation can be lost in the details somewhat - worn couches, and iron burn on my desk, smoke smells in no smoking areas, a seedy spa, and my room had the soap package already opened. It doesn’t change that I would stay here again. It’s nice affordable and a great choice.
Hotel manager and concierge staff were very helpful. Lobby is stunning. We ended up in a room with a balcony with no seating, and no shower ( just a tub with a hand sprayer). My husband thought it was weird but I didn’t mind it.
Room is kind of outdated. Old hotel then.
A property will get old, but the quality of staff will hugely compensate for it. From the front desk to the concierge; to those working in the restaurants and the housekeeping they all make your stay such a great experience. All are helpful, smiley and engaging, ready to serve and answer to your needs. They bother to check if you need a refill of coffee, asked if there is anything else they can. Good job everyone. What have they done to the staff training or is it just the natural warmth of Tunxi people? Whatever it is, definitely my best stay of this trip!
The hotel & room is clean & comfortable! Like it very much. However, a big couch takes almost 1/8 of the room's space making it looks small. Bathroom is also really clean, has both tubs & shower. The only con for the hotel is breakfast just so so. Cups & dishes are chipped, should be replaced.
Good hotel for western visitors to Huangshan --possibly the best. However, dining quality is questionable. HVAC is poor. Staff seem sometimes bewildered. Seems like a government hotel with Crowne Plaza branding. Serious questions about room cleanliness.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The dinner and breakfast buffet was the best part! The staff does their best to help you with anything you need. We took a taxi to the Yellow Mountains for the day, and concierge was very helpful in setting it up. Highly recommended!
Overall, clean and comfortable!
Very comfortable stay and well worth the $.. Great service from the concierge in providing info etc.
We did have minor issues with communicating a food allergy to wheat given that wheat is in soy sauce, but got there eventually
I have rarely stayed in a place this comfortable and nice. The staff was great, the food was great, the room was great. I highly recommend it.
Very comfortable, great food and service.
We went to Yellow Mountain for 3 days and stayed at the Crown Plaza, which is about an hour away from Yellow Mountain. The hotel staff is very knowledgeable about the area and are excellent at arranging transportations that will make your travel smooth. The best part came with the worse. My family came down with food poisoning (not related to the hotel). We called the concierge close to mid-night asking for assistance as a few of us were feeling VERY VERY ill. The hotel staff actually went to the local pharmacy and picked up medication for us, and their assistance made the world of difference. BIG thanks goes out to concierge staff TOM and STELLA for their excellent service and making our trip easier (and feeling better!). Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Yellow Mountain area.
Hotel was nice, modern and clean. Food in the hotel restaurant was good. Very happy about our staying !
I would have given it a perfect score if they didin't turn off the central air conditioning in the middle of the night.
The hotel is nice, clean and staffs are friendly. Food in the hotel restaurant is not bad. Overall I'm happy with my staying.
Very enjoyed the luxury hotel!!!
The lobby of the hotel is expansive and beautiful, and our room was nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. Staff at the main front desk were pleasant and spoke English.
We stayed here in between going to Huangshan. The staff was friendly, spoke English well and was very helpful.
The staff went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The concierge even helped me get a refund when the local hot spring establishment would not let me use their facilities. The hot spring staff thought my board shorts and tankini was too revealing for the males that would be sharing the indoor hot spring facilities!...Only a handful of staff at the hotel speak English. But, with their help and some creative ways of communicating with the other staff members, it is manageable.
We were most impressed by the helpful staff. Concierge supervisor Joy was very responsive and a pleasure to work with before we arrived. He arranged for our transportation from arrival to departure at Hangzhou airport with a good price for hotel limo. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The Crowne Plaza is a great place to stay while exploring Huangshan and environs. Clean spacious rooms, free wifi, at reasonable rates. Definitely recommend. .
Best hotel in the area. Great value to price. About 1 hour drive from the yellow mountains. Difficult to get taxi from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffet are excellent .
Good
Great location for discovering Huangshan and surrounding areas. Service is friendly although not "international" standard. Would recommend this hotel.
Great for exploring Huangshan and surrounding villages. Comfortable but nut luxurious. Good value for money.
The location is slightly out of the way . However the ambience and room more than make up for this small inconvenience . The staff are most accommodating and the location ( whilst slightly outside the Main Street ) is actually a very pleasant place to stroll after a nice meal. On the food, although the selection was limited, it is very tasty and appetizing A great place to rest after climbing the mountains. I highly recommend this hotel to all discerning travelers
I am an American who travels to this area a lot. I have stayed in many of the hotels including the international hotel here. This is far nicer. The Crowne plaza is by far the best hotel I have stayed in this area. Traveling to China can be very difficult, it's sometimes hard to find a good breakfast, and service. This hotel has a great breakfast, the rooms are beautiful and they do as much as they can for you with service. Not everyone in the hotel speaks English but I never had any trouble getting what I needed.
We stayed here for one night on the way to Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain). The Crowne Plaza in Tunxi was an unexpected delight. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms were extremely nice, on par or better than most 5-star hotels (perhaps a level below the Park Hyatt or Conrad, but for a fraction of the price). I recommend storing your luggage here and just taking a backpack to the mountain if you plan to stay overnight since it is a fairly long and vigorous hike/stair climb (about 1-3 hours, depending on whether you use the tram). Note: the cost of hiring a car to take you to the mountain was not trivial and everything on the mountain is pricey, but worth it. The service at the front desk and concierge was excellent. The was also pricey (I think we were steered toward the most expensive restaurant on the premises). The quality of dinner was better than breakfast, which is a large buffet.
I booked this hotel based on other reviews. Being a native Chinese speaker, I wasn't deterred by the service difficulties experienced by others. What was appealing to me was the fact the hotel is relatively new; based on my years of traveling to China, hotels tend to show wear and tear far faster than other places around the world. The staff was very helpful (again, I speak Chinese) when inquiring about visits to Huangshan. The room was probably one of the best I have experience in China. It isn't Wardolf Astoria or Four Seasons, but priced around $100 a night, you can't go wrong.
clean comfortable with good service
Hotel was comfortable and service was very good and friendly and we got rooms with nice view of river, however the location was not as ideal as it was in a residential area and there wasn't much to do or see in the neighbourhood..and not much choice for restaurants as well although the western restaurant in the hotel was quite good and reasonable. However the stay was marred by the fact that the hotel disputed that my rooms included breakfasts..although the booking confirmation clearly included a breakfast per room..finally we were not charged for breakfast.
Great breakfast buffet, as well as the dinner buffet. There was a very large selection of western and chinese dishes. Would highly recommend it. The concierge was very knowledgeable and help us organize a trip to the Yellow Mountains.
