Golden Banana Residence

This Hotel seems beautiful and very kind staff until we didn't eat at heir restaurant or use their drivers. The stairs to our room were very steep and dangerous. One of my bank cards was majorly hacked by someone in the hotel or in the area.

Im still not used to modern bank cards scams but watch out with everything !

Wow what a fabulous stay. This hotel has been our best stay so far in SE Asia. It’s very peaceful with excellent staff. We had a very relaxing stay. All the requirements , good AC , very clean pool , balcony , fan , cold fridge , good wifi , breakfast everyday. Beautiful good sized room, comfortable beds and hot water. The relaxed, kind and friendly staff combined with the relaxing ambience really just made everyday perfect. 10 stars. We will be back to stay again. :)

Приехали рано утром, и так как не было свободных номеров для раннего заселения - нам предложили отдохнуть и подождать свой номер в свободном маленьком номере в другом корпусе. На удивление очень чисто! Сотрудники очень уважительные и позитивные. Завтраки вкусные. Очень рекомендуем для знакомства с Сием Рипом!

Сначала насторожились, что на ресепшене никого нет, но потом нас встретил сотрудник и оказалось, что ресепшен находится в ближайшем к дороге корпусе.

Had a really pleasant time during my stay, the room was comfortable, the pool was relaxing, and all the staff was very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful.Whenever I return to Siem Reap (and I surely will!) this will definitely be my choice for accomodation!

Very good peaceful and ambient location with lively room and relaxing large balcony. Staff very friendly kind and attentive , rooms cleaned daily. Highly recommend. Oh and very clean pool ! Wonderful stay. In fact we have just extended it.

The people, the atmosphere, the love, the care.

The Banana is absolutely unbeatable in terms of bang for your buck with its fantastic location, very comfortable rooms with huge balconies, refreshing pool, tasty breakfast, good beds, spotlessly clean premises, solid WiFi etcetera etcetera. But what would and should make it an 11 out of 10 is the staff! Always super friendly and sweet, always service minded, up for a chat if wanted (and not if not), and in general all just lovely folks and amongst Cambodia's best ambassadors!

Pour commencer, le personnel est très agréable, toujours présent, apporte de l'aide si nécessaire. L'hôtel et les chambres sont propres, grandes, la piscine est vraiment agréable. Le petit déjeuner c'est libre service. L'hôtel est très bien placé.

A reggeli nagyon gyenge volt, a szobában sok kis apró hamgyaféle az ágyban,a gyík a szobában is szaladgált, mert túl nagy rések voltak a terasz ajtón. Nem volt tévé a szobában,pedig már 13 szállodát próbáltam,de csak itt nem volt tv.

The great thing about this hotel is the staff. They are extremely friendly and are so so kind. The hotel also provides a training ground for other Cambodian people who are fresh out of school and need to gain experience. From that perspective I will support this hotel any day. Bong Dara and his team really made our stay extremely good purely based on their care and help. The facilities need to be upgraded to match the amazing staff. Because they really are fabulous. The facilities are also nice, there are multiple pools and places you can relax around the various buildings.

The room was not as shown in the pictures. The buildings are separated from each other and each one has different standards than what is advertised. The air-conditioners need to be cleaned. The rooms are sub standard, mattresses not great and pillows not comfortable. Breakfast sub par, but not too bad. Variety and selection was ok. There are no toiletry kits in the rooms, so be sure to bring everything with you.

Perfect location just behind the river with fantastic restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff were wonderful. I was in the back building so had a lot of privacy and the pool to myself most of the time. I liked it so much I extended my stay for two weeks. Will definitely return the next time I’m in Siem Reap.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. I found out early that it's a young training hotel, the pool is great for cooling off, drinks and meal were great.

Tuve una experiencia excelente en Golden Banana. Desde el primer momento me hicieron sentir muy bienvenido y seguro. Incluso me recogieron del aeropuerto, lo cual fue de gran ayuda después del viaje y mostró la atención que tienen con sus huéspedes.

Good location in siem reap, staff are excellent and gave us good recommendations for tours etc. The room was excellent although the aircon didn’t work properly but it still blew out cold air! Short walk to pub street and restaurants

Me gusto mucho la ubicación, el desayuno incluido estaba muy bueno y la habitación era bastante amplia y cómoda, a pesar de que se ve que las instalaciones están algo viejas tienen buen mantenimiento, el personal lo mejor muy amables y atentos.

No me gusto que en una de las piscinas se veía el agua verde y que las almohadas esa muy altas.

I appreciate to Golden Banana Residence for my accomodation there. I've been there during 12 days and those were the happiest 🌺 . Thanks all the staff: waiters in the restaurant, the chef (you are the best!!!), the receptionists. You have done my staying comfortable, easy and happy. I've got a nice room on the second floor with balcony. There is air conditioning, big size bed, bathroom, everything you need. The territory of the hotel is greenish, there are many kinds of plants and flowers. The main point of the hotel are the people. Thank you my dear Banana Residence 🙏🦋

I thought it was where I had stayed before but wasn’t. It was rather basic and not what I was expecting. A little tired.

Comme pour l'année dernière, nous avons adoré notre séjour à cette résidence: accueil hyper chaleureux de la part de Monsieur Sim qui est aux petits soins, personnel attentionné qui s'assure de notre confort, chambre propre au calme avec une superbe terrasse et vue sur la piscine, petit déjeuner copieux. Et que dire de l'emplacement de cet établissement qui est idéal, au coeur de l'action mais au calme. Un rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Rien tout était parfait. Nous y reviendrons encore et encore.

The staff were all excellent. Really outstanding. Just watch out for the steep steps to some of the rooms. Otherwise superb and highly recommended by me. But what do I know,eh?

Personal war sehr nett und bemüht, ich bin trotzdem der Meinung, dass ich eigentlich ein grösseres und komfortableres Zimmer gebucht hatte- war ev. ein Versehen uns dieses kleine und ziemlich abgewohnte Zimmer gegeben zu haben. Wir hatten mit Terrasse gebucht und mind. 10qm grösser..... egal, haben uns trotzdem wohl gefühlt

Stayed here twice and cannot recommend it enough, our room was upgraded for free the first time. Staff are so lovely and attentive. Rooms are really nice, spacious & clean with nice balconies. Breakfast is ok. 2 nice pools.

I read quite a few bad reports about Golden Banana and even thought of cancelling. So glad that I didn’t! The staff were all so kind and friendly; they really couldn’t do enough for us. I fell over on my first day and every morning afterwards they asked how my slight injuries were. They often said that their guests were like family and that’s exactly what I felt. Don’t believe all the bad reviews you read.

Vous devriez avertir qu’il y a deux bâtiments dans cet hôtel et que celui dans lequel j’étais logé est laissé quasiment à l’abandon. Pas d’accueil, aucun service à moins de se rendre à l’autre bâtiment. Le moteur de la climatisation faisait un bruit assez gênant et une ampoule de lampe de chevet ne marchait plus. Le soir la piscine est dans l’obscurité, et à côté se trouvent un sauna et un spa qui devait fonctionner il fut un temps…

Die Unterkunft bestand aus mehreren Gebäuden. Ich war in einem wunderschönen Gebäude mit Innenhof Atmosphäre inklusive Pool untergebracht eine Ruhe der Oase und das mitten in der Stadt.

We had an amazing 8-nights stay. Every interaction with all staff was friendly, helpful, courteous and respectful. For the price, it was really great value; breakfast was very good. Drinks and food in the restaurant by the poolside were excellent and prices are often not more expensive than the street food; and the quality and portion were often better. There were two pools across three sites, which were very much welcomed after long day sightseeing.

A small observation was that we founds chips with our burger was only a handful but we found this across a few outside establishments too so perhaps chips were imported so more expensive than rice which were plenty.

Lovely sized room with fantastic balcony. The hotel was well located, a short walk to everything. Staff on reception were a delight and cannot praise them enough.

Steps to our room on the 2nd floor were a little steep but manageable for us and we had a property behind us with a number of noisy dogs late at night.

V blízkosti centra, Pub Street, v boční ulici. Milý a ochotný personál. Zajistili mi tuk tuk na dva dny. Pobyt byl včetně snídaně, která byla výborná, ale bohužel se na ni muselo jít do vedlejšího ubytování Wat Damnak.

Spousty gekonů v pokoji, za celý pobyt v Kambodži jich tady bylo nejvíc (ani v jejich dalším ubytování Wat Damnak jich nebylo zdaleka tolik). V posledním patře byla hodně slyšet hudba z centra. Bazén je téměř celý den ve stínu (já jsem se pak kvůli bazénu raději přestěhovala do vedlejšího Wat Damnak). Na balkon bych doporučila dát sušák (nebylo kam pověsit ručník a plavky).

La atención del personal sin duda es lo mejor del hotel. La amabilidad con la que trabajan te hace sentir como en casa.

Hôtel chaleureux, calme avec un personnel accueillant et adorable. La piscine très agréable, dans un bel environnement, est un plaisir pour se relaxer. Fleurs, oiseaux, belle architecture, nous avons hautement apprécié notre chambre et sejour Idéalement placé, il est très simple de découvrir Siem Reap depuis l'hôtel

Настояли второй раз поменять прокуренный номер, без вопросов поменяли. На сутки отель предлагает за 20$ тут-тук с водителям. Так как они мне не ответили, предлагают или нет, взял в городе заранее водителя за те же 20$. Ещё у них можно арендовать мопед, цену не узнавали. Теплый бассейн, в отличие от других гостиниц в Камбоджи. Воду дают каждый день, в стеклянной их бутылке.

Заселили в прокуренный номер, попросили поменять, сказали, что начальник ушёл, только завтра. Карта ЮнионПей Россельхозбанка, у них не прошла к оплате.

They have 2 properties, Golden banana and Villa Wat Damnak. I booked at Golden banana but they gave us rooms at the other one.

The staff were polite and friendly. The facilities and rooms were beautifully designed, spacious, and offered a lovely view over the pool. The residence also hosts students, giving them valuable hands-on work experience. Overall, the key highlights of the stay were the welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of hospitality.

For a couple of mornings in a row, the water in the room wasn’t available, likely due to refilling the communal pool. However, it was restored and running again by the afternoon.

The staff was AMAZING. Everyone could not have been more kind to us. The Golden Banana was perfect for us. We had an incredible experience. Kimereno and Kanha were the sweetest girls ever. Would love to come back some day!!

wir wurden in ein anderes Partner Hotel untergebracht wegen Umbau,aber dies wurde dirket mitgeteilt nach der Buchung und verlief Reibunslos. Darum bezieht sich die Bewertung zum Partnerhotel.

Im Partnerhotel gabs mehre Sache im Zimmer wo notdürftig geflickt worden sind oder gar nicht Repariert gewesen sind das war sehr schade.

Lovely staff, always helpful and polite. Food in the restaurant was lovely and not overpriced. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, room was clean and great value.

Нам дали прекрасный номер с большим балконом в винтажном стиле - двери, окна, коврики, вентилятор - все очень милое. Персонал очень любезный, решал любые проблемы быстро и хорошо. Завтрак в саду, рядом с бассейном,. Скромный, но достаточный. Омлет, овощи, фрукты.

Подтекал кран, но быстро починили. Все хорошо.
