Quizá lo único fue que para el uso de la picina había que reservar y para el día solicitado ya estaba todo reservado sin tener opción de haber disfrutado de ese lugar

The resort itself is beautiful, with the property spread throughout a collection of charming little historic buildings across the village. It has a lovely atmosphere and feels very unique to the area. The restaurant was also very nice, and we enjoyed dining there during our stay. The staff were particularly accommodating and friendly. They were very understanding when we raised the issue with the room and did their best to assist us with the room change, which we really appreciated.

Given the historic nature of the buildings, the doors were unfortunately very noisy. We struggled to sleep and properly relax after check-in and requested a room change within an hour of arriving. The staff were very kind and accommodating and were able to assist with the room change the following day, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was okay, but there appeared to be limited monitoring of food levels. We frequently had to ask for more eggs or fruit after these items had run out. On our final morning, we waited around 30 minutes for more fruit, only to be told later that no more would be available. The village itself is extremely small, with very little to do or explore. While the hotel is conveniently located close to Castellina in Chianti, we would have preferred to stay in a larger village with more restaurants, cafés and things to do within walking distance. For a longer stay, the location felt a little too quiet for us.

Fantastyczny pobyt i jedno z tych miejsc, w których od pierwszej chwili można poczuć się naprawdę zaopiekowanym. Obsługa była świetna na każdym etapie – od recepcji i szybkiego, bezpośredniego kontaktu, po restaurację i bar. Mieliśmy duży, przestronny i pięknie wykończony pokój rodzinny z dwoma osobnymi pomieszczeniami. Wszystko było bardzo wygodne, a klimatyzacja działała bez zarzutu. Obiekt jest przyjazny dla psów i wokół jest dużo miejsca na spacery. Sama okolica jest przepiękna. Bardzo podobał nam się również bar, w którym przez dużą część dnia można było zamówić przekąski, lunch czy kieliszek wina. Jako goście obiektu otrzymaliśmy rabat zarówno na zakupy w sklepie winnicy, jak i na degustację wine & food, co było bardzo miłym dodatkiem. Śniadania były pyszne, bogate i różnorodne, a restauracja znajduje się w wyjątkowo pięknym i klimatycznym miejscu. Kolacja połączona z degustacją była naprawdę wyśmienita.

Jeśli mielibyśmy wskazać jedną rzecz do uzupełnienia, w pokoju przydałby się czajnik albo ekspres do kawy.

Friendly staff, nice wine

The place is located in a small “village”, everything in it is however shut. The main restaurant (not great) and the bar (also not great) overlook a busy road. There is nowhere to sit down and relax outside of your room, the rooms also do not feature a particularly relaxing views / there are no patios etc.

The pool is very far away on a dirt road, which is bad and not suitable for a low car.

Loved the sensitively modernised interior while still having rustic charm.

Mattress was slightly firm for me.

We loved the decor and comfort of our room and the dinner at the Osteria was delicious. The breakfast buffet is very generous too and the staff is super friendly.

It was not clear from the pictures that the swimming pool is 15 minutes away by car over a rough gravel road.

É um local muito charmoso em uma propriedade bem localizada e muito bonita, com ares de vila medieval e instalações amplas e confortáveis. Era nossa primeira vez no Chianti e passar uns dias ali certamente tornou nossa experiência ainda mais especial. O atendimento por toda a equipe sempre foi muito atencioso e prestativo. O café da manhã conta com opções variadas e muito saborosas. Excelente para se preparar para os passeios pelo Chianti. Finalmente, a propriedade abriga também a vinícola da família Mazzei, com Wine Shop, Wine Bar e diferentes possibilidades de Wine Tours e degustação dos excelentes vinhos produzidos ali.

Para alcançar o quarto havia uma escada relativamente íngreme. Minha esposa estava com dificuldades de mobilidade e sofreu um pouco para subir e descer. Não recomendo aquele bloco de quartos para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, mas não sei se há alternativas para esse caso. Nós ocupamos dois quartos separados por um banheiro comum (e enorme), com uma porta para cada quarto. Foi mais estranho do que inconveniente lidar com isso. Precisamos estabelecer um "protocolo" para saber quando cada quarto poderia acessar o banheiro! :-)

Amazing unique property. We loved staying in an old castle. Our room was gorgeous with superb views over the Tuscan landscape. There is a beautiful dinner restaurant that is connected to the castle too which we loved

Just know that you need a car to access towns from this location (like most places in Tuscany)

The pool is far away. Wasn't clearly indicated that the pool is 3km away. Couldn't use the pool at all because of the distance.

Habe Fotos vom Swimming Pool gesehen. Ist aber 3 km über Schotterstrassen entfernt! REservierung direkt ist unmöglich. Am besten über booking.com reserivieren!

It filled its purpose, wine tasting with a gorgeous evening meal. I requested a certain room (which they so kindly gave) but the AC didn’t work so we asked to move into a room that did have working AC. The staff were very apologetic and more than happy to help.

On booking.com there are pictures of a pool, we were told at check-in that this is actually 3km away and you need an SUV car to get through the path. Unfortunately, for the price we paid, we shouldn’t have to choose being AC and a nice room. We feel a lot of the booking.com facilities were misleading.

What a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany! Our room exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful, romantic, spotless, and full of charm. We stayed in the Loggia room, and it was truly special. The bathroom with windows overlooking the surrounding nature was breathtaking, and the private balcony was the perfect place to sit, relax, and simply admire the beauty of Tuscany. We were completely enchanted by the atmosphere. The staff were exceptional - everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, always making us feel very welcome. We also had the Taste Menu for dinner at the restaurant, and it was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious, making the whole evening a truly memorable experience. A magical place, wonderful hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. We would love to come back!

Alles. Personeel, ontvangst, locatie en heerlijk eten en uitstekende wijnen.

Niets, was ons tweede bezoek aan deze locatie en zeker niet het laatste.

Vi likte oss veldig godt. Alt lå veldig godt til rette. Maten var nydelig, personalet var fantastiske. Som noen har skrevet tidligere, et basseng hadde vært veldig fint.

I loved the history of the property, the uniqueness of it being a winery and the ability to experience that all in one place.

The bar staff were quite unfriendly. Hard to get another round of drinks or settle the bill. If we walked in to the bar, it seemed like an inconvenience. When we are quite isolated in terms of having other options to have a drink or bar snack, it’s quite disappointing that they were so unfriendly considering most people would have been guests there. Air conditioning barely works. Set to 10° however room is consistently at 26°. Consider updating or implementing ceiling fans. Also the addition of an espresso machine in the rooms would be good. Paying such a premium price, would be nice to have a coffee before 8am. Some tiles/stones in the floor were quite unstable. Trip hazard.

Siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti. Il borgo è incantevole, immerso in un’atmosfera unica e curato in ogni dettaglio: un luogo ideale per rilassarsi e vivere il fascino della Toscana. La camera era grandissima, molto accogliente, pulita, fresca grazie all’aria condizionata e dotata di un letto comodissimo. Un plauso speciale va a tutto il personale, gentilissimo, disponibile e simpatico: ci hanno accolto con grande cordialità facendoci sentire subito i benvenuti. Abbiamo anche cenato all’Osteria del borgo e l’esperienza è stata eccellente: piatti ottimi, atmosfera piacevole e servizio impeccabile. Molto comoda anche la possibilità di parcheggiare, con diversi posti auto a disposizione. Abbondante e ottima colazione a buffet inclusa. Assolutamente consigliato!

Our room was at the top of one of the buildings and therefore we had a good view of the surroundings. The accommodation is set within a cluster of traditional buildings. It is conveniently located for the nearby winery. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent as was the setting. Service was also excellent from all those working here. They have a nice reception area and the site benefits from a small cafe/bar at the entrance which is open to the public.

I think the use of the term “Resort” is very misleading. There is no pool on the property and unless your main aim is to spend time in the winery then it should be seen as an opportunity to stay in some traditional buildings in a quiet, village like setting. It also lacks any shops as such though the bar/cafe at the entrance sells a number of takeaway items and serves light meals and drinks.

I loved the authenticity of the village and the kindness of the staff, always helpful. There are a few stores, including an artisan carving walking sticks. Fonterutoli has a fabulous restaurant (best to reserve in advance) and a bar where one can eat simple dishes.

The rooms in our house were poorly isolated so we could hear people in the hall and other guests when they were loud. The only pool available is a public one a few minutes away.

Absolutely stunning setting, amazing to be able to stay in such a historic village. Really nice touch offering guests 10% across wine tours, food, wine purchases and local ceramic shop in the village. Rooms were decorated beautifully, very clean and well stocked with lovely toiletries, water etc. Restaurant and tapas bar on site have really gorgeous food. Wine tour was really great. Other range of activities available also. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone exploring Tuscany. Castillina is definitely one of the nicest towns with Chianti so it was so nice staying so close - lovely restaurants and shops there.

Air con wasn’t great, so in 30+ degree heat it made it hard to sleep at times.

Il ristorante, il relativo servizio e i ragazzi molto cordiali davvero piacevole il cibo. Anche il servizio colazione è molto buono e le ragazze carinissime.

A mio parere il costo della stanza è eccessivo per quello che viene offerto.

Everything was wonderful. The resort is beautifully located in the heart of Chianti, surrounded by vineyards and stunning Tuscan landscapes. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, the rooms are comfortable and full of character, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the restaurant, the wine experience, and the overall charm of the property. It was the perfect stop between Southern Tuscany and Florence, and one of the highlights of our Italy trip.

Nothing major. The only minor inconvenience was the number of flies outdoors, which is probably inevitable in a rural vineyard location.

We loved staying in Fonterutoli and the beautiful historic buildings of the hotel & its surroundings. Great location & base to explore the Tuscany region by car. The staff were very helpful and friendly, helping us book dinners nearby during our stay. The winery tour & tasting was awesome. The restaurant was excellent for dinner, and the breakfasts each morning had everything we needed. The bar was a great spot for a glass of wine in the courtyard in the afternoon. Our room was very large and nicely decorated.

מלון קסום ומיוחד בכפר קטן ויפיפה שכולו במתחם המלון. כל חדר שונה בעיצובו אנחנו לקחנו חדר סופירייר והוא היה מדהים. המסעדה וארוחת הבוקר במלון פשוט מעולים! הצוות נפלא ומקסים. אהבנו מאוד!

Loved the location out in the country. Very peaceful and relaxing. Had a very nice meal at their Osteria. Reservations recommended. They also have a bar with quick bites. Winery tour was impressive. Nice breakfast included.

Room had a slight musty smell. Was not sure if it was coming from the footed tub or the old couch.

Wunderbare idyllische Lage in den Weinbergen in einem kleinen Dorf. Individuelle charmante und großzügige Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, die Weinprobe war unser Highlight. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück in der Osteria waren sehr gut und man hat wunderbar auf der Terrasse gesessen. Sehr romantisch.

Die Dusche hatte keine Gummilippe zum Ausstieg raus. Daher lief das Wasser aus der Dusche. Das Haus war etwas hellhörig, aber für uns nicht weiter schlimm.

Café da manhã muito bom em local agradável com vista bonita para o vale. Limpeza impecável. Tinha creme hidratante,sabonete e shampoo produzidos no local de alta qualidade. Funcionários muito solícitos para nos deixar à vontade.

Não tivemos tempo para curtir as atrações oferecidas pelo castelo. Precisa fazer reserva tanto para as atrações como para almoçar e jantar.

We loved this property! Everything was so beautiful! The rooms were spacious and clean and just what you would hope for in a Tuscan villa! The countryside surrounding the property was breathtakingly beautiful! The restaurant was very nice and the food was great!

We enjoyed everything about the property. I would recommend people use the train station in Sienna when traveling to the property rather than the Badesse train station which is closer in proximity to the property but more challenging to get a taxi to the property from the train stop. There isn’t actually anything at Badesse station other than the stop, there is not a building.

The hotel room was very nice, and the scenery was beautiful. The front desk staff were also great — they even recommended a place to eat, and it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Their T-bone steak was especially good. Overall, it was a great experience. The hotel is located in a mountain villa — a quiet, peaceful little town nearby, and when you wake up, you're surrounded by the villa grounds on the mountain.

Quarto muito bom, café da manhã excepcional, simpatia da equipe. Além de possuírem uma bela vinícola a localização é estratégica para quem visita a região do Chianti.

Absolute Empfehlung!! Ein traumhafter Platz mit äußerst bemühten, freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Personal. Alles sehr sauber. Umbedingt eine Weinführung mit Verkostung buchen, es lohnt sich. Das Essen im Restaurant ist erstklassig, auch das Frühstück könnte nicht besser sein. Wir würden sofort wieder buchen.

Der Herr vom gegenüberliegenden Bistrot hat uns leider bei der Ankunft kurzzeitig die Laune getrübt. Wir wollten um 15Uhr eine Kleinigkeit essen, leider hat er uns sehr unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass er bereits geschlossen hat, obwohl die Dame an der Rezeption uns zu ihm empfohlen hat und auch die Öffnungszeit am Eingang bis 16:30Uhr aufwies.

Gostei muito do hotel, fomos muito bem recebidos e foram muito gentis na nossa chegada. O quarto e o local são muito agradeveis e bonitos.

Gostei de tudo, o quarto é perfeito, rustico e confortável. Local super tranquilo e silencioso. Não fizemos os passeios pois ficamos somente um dia, mas acredito que vale super a pena. Cafe da manha é maravilhoso.

Es perfecto, lo que buscábamos, amanecer en la Toscana. El personal fue increíble, súper atentos. La habitación era más de lo que esperaba, la cama muy cómoda y el baño increíble.

The place is top-notch. From the outside it looks like a beautiful and charming Tuscan villa, and inside it's impeccably renovated.
