Die Gastgeber (vor allem Ted) sind sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich sofort sehr willkommen. Die Organisation der Private-Onsen Zeiten ist sehr gut geregelt und beruht auf einem guten Miteinander. In dieser Unterkunft steht die Menschlichkeit an oberster Stelle. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und persönlich gestaltet.

房间很大，很传统的日式风格。优越的地理位置，离芦之湖不远，附近有很多可以徒步的山和平原。旅馆的工作人员都非常热情友好，提供了很多信息，有一种温馨的家的感觉。尤其喜欢可以预约的温泉，私密性很好，水质非常棒。周围有很多餐厅可供选择，超市也不远，超市的哈密瓜特别甜。一点小建议，希望房间名能用日语标一下，我对为什么叫这个名字和日语怎么写非常感兴趣^_^

This was an affordable stay, clean, comfortable, and great for couples as they have private onsen that you can reserve when you are there. The staff was very kind and helpful as well.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis avec toutes les explications et recommandations nécessaires pour passer un excellent moment. Le logement était peu occupé à cette saison. Nous avons pu profiter du Onsen intérieur. De très bons restaurants sont à 5 min à pieds. Le bus T est à 2 min. Il faut 50 min depuis la gare d’Odawara pour rejoindre le logement et il faut 15 min en bus pour aller au lac Ashi. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner à la guest house. Plus facile que de trouver quelque chose le matin.

For me, the best feature of the property is the owner. He was so personable. The location is also convenient to restaurants and bus stop. We also liked the private onsen feature.

The guest house was very wholesome and friendly. The room was clean and well-equipped, and there was laundry on site. The indoor onsen was free, the outdoor one cost 500 yen per time slot of 20 minutes. I highly recommend taking a plunge at least once, it was the perfect remedy to melt away my exhaustion after long days of exploration. The location was in the highlands of Hakone and therefore a bit more secluded, but I loved the peace. The guest house even provided a map to the local restaurants and their menus, plus an itinerary for the attractions in Hakone for my consideration. I cannot recommend them enough, and I'd stay here again!

The private baths were amazing! Loved that the bus stop was just a quick 3 minute walk. The staff took great care of us during our stay and we were welcomed warmly upon arrival.

Nice place with traditional feeling. Really sympathetic owners who really take care of you. Onsen both indoors + outdoors a big plus. We really loved the home-like cosy and friendly atmosphere and would love to return here one day.

I felt warmly welcome by Tizio-ted and his mother and father. Whatever questions I had (where to go, which bus, where to get what), they answered for me. I asked for a quiet room and got a quiet room facing the garden. I loved my quiet time in the outdoor onsen in the evening.

It was perfect for me, that the guest house was a little far off. It might not be fine for others travelig by public transport. But then, on the other hand i was close to Gora for starting the round the Fuji trip and going back from Gora as well.

This Guest House was beyond our expecations. It was so warm, welcoming and cozy. The beds were absolutely comfortable while you were cuddled under a huge blanket that kept you warm. It was quiet and we rarely heard other guests. They had a lot of instructions and informations to get to nearby Sightseeing spots like the Ropeways, Ship fare times, routes for a day trip, etc. The Yukata's they provided were comfortable and because it was winter, they even provided a thicker Yukata coat. We really enjoyed the natural outside onsen as it was very spacy and just gave such a relaxing vibe in the evening after long day walking. I had some tattoos but it wasn't a problem since you book time slots for the onsens which make it as if it's a private onsen. The hosts were a lovely family and we can only recommend a stay here!

早餐简单，酒店的环境和温泉非常棒。出行方便，离公交车站和铁路站的距离都很近。尤其值得夸赞的是，酒店周边景色非常棒，除了常规的火山旅游路线以外，还非常适宜hiking，有各种适宜的路线。酒店不远处有山地草原，风光非常漂亮，强烈推荐！

The Fuji-Hakone Guest House feels just like staying at a family member’s house out in the countryside. Its rustic and a little tucked away, but we received wonderful hospitality and were very comfortable during our time in Hakone. The reservable private onsen is wonderful for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Even though it is a bit remote, there are multiple wonderful restaurants just down the street. We loved the cozy vibe and would certainly stay again next time we are in the area.

No complaints, but guests looking at options should be aware that this is a rustic ryokan experience and should not go is expecting all the bells and whistles of a fancy resort.

The hostel is super cozy, perfect for a little retreat away from the buzzling city. The owners were super nice and spoke excellent English. The indoor as well as the outdoor onsen were the stars of the show of course, and the outdoor onsen was in the yard outside which was super beautiful. Slots for the onsen could be reserved so that the guests can have some privacy which I thought was great. There also seemed to be no policies forbidding tattoos which is quite rare.

Wir wurden direkt sehr herzlich begrüßt und uns wurde direkt alles erklärt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und wir hatten eine tolle Aussicht. Die Onsen waren super entspannend und die Einteilung mit den anderen Gästen sehr gut gelöst ☺️ Es gab Empfehlungen für das Abendessen im Ort (und es war wirklich super) und was die Unternehmung für den nächsten Tag anging. Heute wurden wir dann beim Check-Out sehr herzlich und lieb verabschiedet mit Snacks für den Weg 🫶

The hospitality and enthusiasm of the staff made our stay so memorable! The outdoor onsen was beautiful and the indoor onsen was nice too. There are many restaurants in the area which made it very walkable. Our room was beautiful and made our entire trip to Japan feel authentic.

The one complaint I have is that our room had a strong scent of food.

We had a wonderful stay at Hakone Guest House, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Ted, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our kids absolutely loved the experience sleeping on futons and wearing yukata was such a fun and memorable part of the trip. Ted went above and beyond by teaching them how to play Kendama, which quickly became a highlight for the whole family. We also had the chance to experience the onsen, and it was a relaxing and special moment we’ll always cherish. Everything about our stay reflected genuine hospitality and care.

It was very comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Definitely the softest futons we've had since we've been visiting Japan. Not to mention the onsen was incredibly nice, my skin seemed much healthier after using it. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

The alloyed onsen usage time of 20 minutes makes showering and soaking a little difficult to achieve with such a time crunch. Otherwise it's a wonderful place.

Accueil très chaleureux avec un hôte qui donne beaucoup de conseils pour faciliter le séjour.

Der Inhaber Ted hat uns beim Check-In herzlich in Empfang genommen, hat unsere Koffer in unser Zimmer gebracht und uns eine Führung durch die Unterkunft gegeben. Meine Begleitung ist großer Evangelion Fan, so wie Ted, der sich direkt mit ihr über den Anime unterhalten hat und ihr einige tolle Tipps für die umliegenden EVA-related Sehenswürdigkeiten gegeben hat. Das Zimmer war unglaublich gemütlich eingerichtet und die Futon-Betten waren sehr bequem. Wir hatten außerdem einen schönen Ausblick auf einen Fluss und viel Natur. Frühstück oder "Coffee Service" konnte gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis beim Check-In dazu gebucht werden. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen- und WCs waren sehr sauber und man bekam täglich ein frisches Set Handtücher. Der Indoor-Onsen musste reserviert werden, konnte allerdings ohne Gebühr genutzt werden. Man hatte dann immer eine halbe Stunde Zeit, den Onsen zu nutzen, sowohl in der Früh als auch am Abend. Der Outdoor-Onsen musste ebenfalls reserviert werden (gegen Gebühr, JPY 500,-- pro Person), immer für ein Zeitfenster von 20 Minuten bis 23:00 Uhr. Die 500 Yen waren es absolut wert, es war unglaublich entspannend und eine schöne Erfahrung, vor allem wenn es draußen kalt ist. Direkt vor dem Guesthouse befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle (mehrere Linien) und in ca. 5-10 Minuten Fußweg erreicht man einen Lawson (geöffnet bis 22:00 Uhr). In unmittelbarer Nähe bis ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg gibt es auch verschiedene Restaurants, zu denen ein Shuttle organisiert werden kann. Zur Gora Station fährt man etwa 20 Minuten und von dort kann man in die Gondel nach Owakudani einsteigen. In der Lobby stehen übrigens sehr viele Informationen für mögliche Ausflüge (inkl. Uhrzeiten/Dauer), Restaurants, oder generell über die Gegend bereit. Nochmals vielen Dank lieber Ted, ich komme ganz bestimmt wieder und ich freue mich jetzt schon auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt bei euch! ^-^

The property was well equipped for everything, the rooms are clean, nice and cozy. The staff is super helpful and are up to help on anything you need, we loved the information section and also all the help they gave us.

Отличное расположение, недалеко от автобусной остановки, рядом есть рестораны и магазин. Основные достопримечательности Хаконе в доступности на автобусе. Рядом в пешей доступности живописное поле с травой. Внутри уютно и тепло. Есть два онсена, все как заявлено в объявлении. Полное ощущение приватности и во внутреннем и во внешнем онсене. Выдают юкаты для хождения по территории Владелец крайне гостеприимный. Хорошо говорит по английски. Отель предоставляет завтраки за отдельную плату. Были в ноябре, очень советуем. Disfrutamos muchisimo de nuestra estancia en Hakone. El alojamiento es acojedor y esta super bien organizado. Ted y el equipo hacen un trabajo increible para hacer que tu estancia sea facil. La habitacion con tatami era preciosa, los onsen interior y exterior son faciles de reservar y tienen toda la informacion local necesaria para visitar Hakone super actualizada. Viajamos con un bebe y fue muy sencillo. Volveremos!

Das Ambiente ist einfach traumhaft! Man fühlt sich dem alten Japan ein ganzes Stück näher und es bietet einen schönen Einblick in eine ruhige Seite Japans, weitab der großen Städte! Trotzdem gibt es einiges zu sehen und zahlreiche sightseeing spots sowie Restaurants sind gut erreichbar (Zu einigen gibt es sogar einen Shuttel Service direkt vom Hotel hin und zurück!) Beide Onsen sind ein Traum! Drinnen wie draußen bieten Entspannung und Privatsphäre pur~ Doch am allerbesten war unser überaus freundlich und herzlicher Gastgeber. Hier merkt man sofort mit wieviel Liebe diese Unterkunft geführt wird. Ich kann jedem nur herzlich empfehlen sich diese Unterkunft nicht entgehen zu lassen~ Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :D

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Hakone. Our room had a little balcony which looked out over a brook. It was so relaxing, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Loved the hot springs, took advantage of both the indoor and outdoor ones

This is my second time staying at Fuji-Hakone Guest House. It is a beautiful property with so much history and charm. The owner is very attentive and helpful, and has made this stay very memorable. We were easily able to access Lake Ashi for amazing Mt Fuji views and there were plenty of restaurants around that could accommodate for us as vegetarian travellers. I plan to stay again in the future and highly recommend this as a place to spend quality time in the mountains, making origami, soaking in the Onsen, and enjoying nature.

Situé à côté d'un arrêt de bus. Propre, joli, bien décoré avec plusieurs références à Evangelion en plus de la décoration traditionnelle. Yukata très confortable. Système de privatisation de l'onsen simple à utiliser et qui permet à tout le monde d'en profiter.

Coût additionnel pour l'onsen qui me semble superflu avec le prix déjà conséquent du ryokan, pour une plage horaire en plus plus courte.

Fuji-Hakone truly felt like 'home' away from home. The family operating the Ryokan was very welcoming, and although at first, we found it daunting to get the bus from Odawara to get to their guesthouse, once we arrived, they immediately made us feel at home. Moreover, they gave us excellent information to move around, find dinner and hiking opportunities in the area. The guesthouse itself was lovely, and the private Onsens were all excellent (Moreover, tattoos were welcome in them!). Finally, they were very accommodating in all of our additional requests.

Exceptional service

Atmosphère familiale et accueillante. Endroit extrêmement calme. Tous les équipements -onsen extérieur et onsen intérieur en particulier- sont conformes aux descriptions et faciles à utiliser. Les patrons peuvent réserver un restaurant pour dîner avec une navette assurant l'aller - retour (trois endroits possibles sur une dizaine répertoriés qu'ils peuvent réserver).

Tout était très bien. Le petit-déjeuner nous a semblé un peu cher mais il a l'avantage d'être sur place et de type occidental

Our entire group stayed at Fuji-Hakone for the second part of our stay in Japan. It was in the perfect location for our group and the accommodations were beyond comfortable for a family traveling together. Our host was helpful and informative, going the extra mile to make us all feel at home. We especially loved the open air hot spring, which was my favorite part of the stay. Each night we found a different spot within walking distance for dinner--and every single one was fantastic. Would visit again!

Fuji-Hakone Guest House was phenomenal! The onsen, guesthouse staff and rooms were fantastic. Me and my boyfriend were still jetlagged, so this little retreat in Hakone was like an answer to our prayers. Hakone area is beautiful and thanks to Fuji-Hakone Guest House's recommendations, we knew exactly where to go and how to get there. And the staff! We were greeted by amazing hosts, who guided us through everything and made sure we were settled in alright. I cannot thank them enough. Even though I have many large tattoos, the private onsens they have made it possible for me to enjoy this unique to Japan experience. Hakone ressemble à un Annecy low cost. Possibilité de faire une rando claquée à côté du volcan. Le lac est plutôt sympathique mais il faudra prendre le bus (toutes les 30minutes) Hébergement respectant tous les critères. Cependant je ne serais sûrement pas amener à revenir à Hakone.

Such a beautiful and authentic experience here! I wish I stayed for more than one night. It was so peaceful and a welcome break from Tokyo madness. The people working here are so kind and attentive.

Die Lage ist super. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für 3 Personen und einen kleinen Raum mit Blick auf den Fluss. Zu einigen Restaurants wurden Shuttles organisiert.

Очень приятный отель (рёкан) и онсен в отличной локации. У отеля очень гостеприимный владелец, который помог с размещением и организационными вопросами и провел нам тур. По отелю везде расположены таблички, которые поясняют детали размещения и предоставляют информацию о лучших маршрутах и местах в хаконе. Онсен на открытом воздухе был прекрасен, очень красиво, тепло и романтично. Онсен внутри тоже хорош. В отеле взяли завтрак т.к. не хотели идти до ближайшего магазина. Завтрак, хотя и небольшой, но достаточный и вкусный. Комната очень аккуратная, в традиционном японском стиле, очень понравилась. Так хорошо, как на этом футоне я не спал уже давно. В общем отель оставил только положительные впечатления, рекомендую.

Das Zimmer war groß und hatte alles was man braucht. Es gab einen Kühlschrank zur gemeinsamen Nutzung. Vor dem Eingang einen Getränkeautomaten. Die Bushaltestelle ist ein Knotenpunkt für mehrer Buslinien. Der Host war sehr nett und stand einem für alle Fragen zur Seite. Das Außenbad ist nur zu empfehlen!

Alles war super. Wir hätten länger buchen sollen.
