There isn’t much to do around the property, and the facilities of the property were quite poor. The food wasn’t good

Room was big and the balcony was also very beautiful and in our room no one could look into the balcony so its very halal friendly. The staff was very kind and always ready to help.

the only point i can say is that its an island and you have seen everything after like 4-5h so if you spend a week its ok but everything after its too much for me.

الغرفة جميلة ومرافق الفندق جميلة ولكن الضجيج الذي كان ناتجاً من العمال في المكان قد افسد جميع ما كان جميل

كان هنالك أعمال حول غرفتي وكان يبدأ الضجيج من الساعة 8 صباحا او 8:30 ولا ينتهي الا بحلول ال 18:30 مساء كانت ثلاث ليالٍ مريعة مع الكثير من الازعاج والضجيج ذهبت للراحة والاستجمام ولم أستطيع النوم وكنت استيقظ حال وصول العمال الى مكان العمل

Wasn't warned about construction going on and they had it going right behind our villa, terribly noisy from 8am until sunset. Cheesecake was bad it was stiff and tasted like cardboard. The buffet was terrible infested with ants they didnt do anything about it even when brought to their attention

The pool vila is not for families with young kids. The swimming pool does not have a safety gate and the entrance to the second bedroom is seperate. If you are coming with kids avoid the pool vila!!

Incredible value resort and location. Absolutely loved it with only downside being late night boat traversal which caused me to miss out a full night of our stay because we couldn't get private transfer which would have been more than the two nights we had booked just to get there.

Probate boat transfers cost and hours of operation for late night transfer. Much too expensive.

Rundum perfekt als Familienurlaub!

Es ist ein traumhaft schöner Ort zum relaxen und genießen! Die bungalows sind toll im jungle angeornet, viel Privatsphäre! Hier hat man meiner Meinung nach den allerschönsten Ausblick auf die Felsen der Bucht! Toller golfcar Dienst! Alle, wirklich alle Angestellten sind außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und entgegenkommend! Das Frühstück war hervorragend und auch das essen generell sehr gut. Die pizza hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, falls man mal zwischendurch nicht thai essen möchte! Wir werden 100% wieder ins koh yao yai village kommen!

Paradijselijke ligging, extreem veel oog voor esthetische details, lekkere geuren, lekkere keuken, zeer comfortabele kamers en vooral ook waanzinnig behulpzaam personeel! Wat een beleving.

This is my 4th time at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai, I've been coming since 2017 and love it! Everything here is so beautiful that there are no words to describe it - it's just my home away from home, my oasis of peace. I just hope that they can revert a few of the changes made recently so it stays as perfect as it was before.

However, I would like to point out that the hotel has changed quite a bit over the years. When I first came, there were four restaurants and you could have dinner either upstairs by the infinity pool or down by the beach in different venues. Now there are only two restaurants (which is fine) but dinner is not served upstairs anymore, which is a pity as it was just so beautiful to eat there with the ocean view and the live music. Also, the prices have gone up considerably while the quality of the spa has decreased. In the past, I used to come to the spa every single day of my stay. It was more affordable and the therapists were impeccable - I had the best Thai massages there. Now the massages are quite average and much more expensive, so we came only twice and the first time we were let down by the quality of the Thai massage. This is really, really sad, as this spa used to be a real treasure, as well as the ladies who were managing it in 2022-2023 - they were superb! Also, I need to mention that it is quite dissapointing not to be offered the neck massage while checking in anymore - they stopped that during Covid and it's a pity they didn't resume it. That is exactly the kind of detail that set Santhiya apart! Lastly, the prices of the transfer have also gone up. I understand the economy has changed, but there should be a benefits programme for loyal guests. While not many people could come during the Covid years, we were the ones who kept the resort going! It used to feel like coming back home, surrounded by family, and now it's just a bit too much business oriented. Hopefully the original spirit can be honoured so that we can continue returning again and again to this beautiul place.

The resort was absolutely amazing, and it is honestly difficult to find anything negative to say about our stay. The location is beautiful, with incredible views and a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the entire resort is very well maintained. The staff were fantastic — always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

The only area we felt could be improved was the lunch and dinner options. The two main restaurants are located next to each other and offer essentially the same menu, so the choices can feel quite limited, particularly when staying at the resort for several days. Having more variety between the restaurants and a wider selection of food for lunch and dinner would make an already amazing resort even better.

There was nothing to not like!

My friend and I stayed at Santiya and had a wonderful time. From the moment you arrive at the marina, everything feels well thought out. Guests are welcomed into a private lounge with complimentary snacks and coffee while waiting for the transfer, which is a lovely touch. The speedboat service is well organised, the boat is modern and well maintained, and the journey to the resort is smooth. The check-in process is efficient despite many guests arriving at the same time. Our room was ready within about 20 minutes. The resort grounds are vast and very steep, but this was never an issue as there was always a buggy waiting or arriving within a couple of minutes to take us wherever we wanted to go. The facilities are beautiful, well maintained, and feel fresh rather than dated, which can sometimes happen with resorts that feature a lot of wooden architecture. Our room was incredibly spacious, and the view was genuinely one of the best I’ve experienced in Thailand. The food and drinks were very good, and the breakfast offered plenty of variety, including fresh juices, an omelette station, pastries, and many other options. The only small disappointment was that there were no non-dairy milk alternatives available. Aside from that, we were very happy with the dining experience. Mr. Kyaw was especially attentive and helpful throughout our stay. One feature I particularly appreciated was the QR code ordering system. Everything is fully automated, and there’s no need to sign bills each time you order, making the whole experience seamless and convenient. The beach was spotless and clearly maintained with care, as staff cleaned it every day. It was great to see such attention given to keeping the surroundings pristine. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The breathtaking views, beautiful resort, friendly staff, and overall efficiency made it a memorable experience.

The only downside was the checkout process, which felt a little rushed. We were asked to arrive at the reception an hour before our scheduled boat departure, which meant we didn’t have enough time to enjoy breakfast. Overall the tone was a bit commanding. It felt slightly earlier than necessary and we were the only ones to arrive on time at the pier and had to wait for the rest of the passengers.

Wir haben eine Nacht länger gebucht, da es sehr schön und erholsam ist. Das Essen war herrlich und eine sehr große Auswahl. Strand, Pool, Zimmer, ect. entspricht genau den Fotos. Bei unserer Abreise 11uhr, wurde versehentlich ein Koffer von uns nach Phuket geschickt. Wir fuhren mit dem Speedboot nach Phi Phi und um 17uhr ist auch der Koffer angekommen. Das Hotel Santhiya hat alles in Bewegung gesetzt auch nach diesem Missgeschick, vollen Service anzubieten. Echt erwähnenswert.

Zum meckern gibt es immer was, so ist der Mensch. Doch hier musst du echt suchen, alles war perfekt.

Check In funktioniert sehr organisierter. Zimmer sind sehr groß und sehr schön, wie auf den Fotos. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr vielseitig und abwechslungsreich, alle ist da!!! Abendessen im Strand Restaurant war auch sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter sind ausserdem sehr freundlich und bieten immer ihre Hilfe an. Sehr schöner Strand, mit tollen Sonnenuntergänge.

Die Preise sind teilweise mehr als das doppelte so hoch, als draußen im Resteraunt. Aber es ist nicht zu vergessen das man im einen Hotel ist. Dort und da bisschen mehr Farbe, dann glänzt es wieder mehr

Alt var fantastisk. Udsigten overalt var enestående. Maden var god. God valuta for pengene. Vi kommer tilbage!

My second visit the welcome was so warm, by bed was made with a welcome home note with leaves and flowers with a note left by the GM. Boom and Pong has always been so genuine at the service and they recognised me again, they are an asset to the hotel. The food is amazing, everyone has always a smile on the face welcoming you open heartedly. At the checkout we were escorted by a Filipino guy, he too was so genuine and took us smoothly across your checkout. Thank you Santhiya, surely visiting you’ll next year 🤞

The lady at the Ao Po Grand pier was a bit arrogant and not welcoming at all, was totally on her phone felt a bit discriminated there as a Chinese and Arabic family was well well welcomed and entertained.

Our pool villa was fantastic, the view was out of this world and really made up for the poor quality food and poor service from staff.

Check in was completely unacceptable. We were arriving from Krabi and the hotel informed us we would need to use the public boat. We finally arranged (after lots of hassle) for the hotel to arrange a taxi to collect us from the pier around 30 mins away. After a comfortable journey we were dropped off at what can only be described as a security hut in the hotel car park. We were sat here for over 20 minutes in the heat with 3 other couples, and a security guard. No reception/ welcome staff. No refreshments. We were honestly blown away with how unbelievably awful this first impression of the hotel was. Eventually we were loaded into a wooden truck with the other couples and driven into the resort and taken to a packed check in room. It felt busy and chaotic. After being there for around 15 minutes, we then had to watch a power point presentation with the rest of the people checking in- it genuinely felt like we were on a school trip - not checking into a 5 star hotel. Thankfully, The room was fantastic but it needs work done, the decking had holes in and the fence had screws that had come away from the wood. Would be dangerous for children. Multiple staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. They have a WhatsApp account but do not reply to messages. The food quality is poor, and meals are very expensive. The hotel could be so fantastic, but lots of work needs to be done on the quality of the food, and the service levels provided by staff.

This fantastic hotel is a hidden gem, quick island getaway from Phuket and all the noise, no traffic from the airport to the pier, organised gathering at the pier onto the speedboat and only a 20 minute boat ride to the hotel. It’s very convenient that they have their own pier, so you can get off and go into the lobby. Welcome presentation and drinks were lovely, everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the rooms are spacious with a gorgeous balcony and a bathtub and a breathtaking view, almost like you have your own private sea. The hotel takes up a large area of land on the corner of the island so driving to and from the hotels and the rooms is like a safari everyday. Their transport services are very organised and efficient and the drivers are so wonderful, especially Dee. Having a watsapp service running 24 hours a day was especially helpful. The food quality and breakfast selection was excellent. The room robe and slippers and complimentary beach bag were also wonderful. The house cleaning was fantastic especially with all the sand. Early check in was also very much appreciated. The whole hotel structure and buildings are well thought out and aesthetically pleasing since everything is carved out of wood, every view of the hotel looked like a work of art!

More spoons and tissues and bins around the property would be very useful. The foreign employees in the restaurant were struggling to understand English, I believe language classes would be very useful to them and make the standard of the hotel even better. Adding a warning about the stones in the sea should be included in the welcome speech, the stones are dangerous and painful and quite close to shore. Adding a sunset kayaking service would also be a bonus, they stop kayaks at 2 pm because of the water conditions, but you can limit the distance of kayaks by placing buoys in the water.

Loved the villa and the spa treatments.

Weren't able to ride the luge carts due to weather but that's not their fault, just a bit disappointing.

נסיעה בין מתחם למתחם עם השאטלים שלהם, זה ידוע כי ככה זה בכל הרשת. למרות שהעיצוב זהה לקופנגן, דרוש שיפוץ נוסף הרבה מקומות קצת מוזנחים בארוחת הערב ביו אדיבים מאוד אבל האוכל לא היה טעים, יצאנו החוצה למסעדה בערב אחרי שלא אכלנו מה שהזמנו מהערב

The only thing which was perfect was the view there. I had visited this place 10 years ago with my parents and it was amazing, the food, the people there, everything!!

The staff were all training there, no professional staff or chef was available on this huge property!! The food was below average, all we would eat was the fried rice and nothing else. Cleanliness of the resort was also average overall.

צריך להתרגל להסעות בתוך המלון מנקודה אחת לאחרת למרות שהם פועלים מאוד ביעילות, שתי המסעדות באזור הלובי רק בסדר. את הבופה של סוף שבוע לא אהבתי.

Very limited food options and besides breakfast, the food was not that tasty and some was very overpriced. All restaurants had the same menu. We were bored after 2 days with the food. Wished for a few more activities. Trips booked theough the resort were very expensive: we booked separately. Walk down the beach to get massages. Prices were half what they are at the resort.

Herşey çok güzeldi. Yemekler, oda, otelin konumu, masaj hizmeti, havuzlar, çalışanların güler yüzü hepsi çok güzeldi. Tam bir deneyim oteliydi.

Otel odamızın içerisinde otelin konumu gereği kertenkele ve geckolar vardı. Bu durum rahatsız edici olabiliyor. Otel personeli konuyla yakından ilgilendi.

Zwembad bij de villa was erg groot en een van de weinige baden die ook verkoelend was tijdens onze reis in Thailand. Kamers waren mooi en erg groot. Alles werd gedaan om je verblijft optimaal te maken.

Omdat de villa en het resort zo mooi waren weinig van het eiland gezien. De tweede kamer moest je via buiten bereiken. Onze kids van 7 - 9 vonden dit een beetje spannend tijden een flinke onweersbui in de nacht. Er zat een mega Gecko (Tokeh) die maakt snachts wel een flink kabaal maar goed hoort ook bij zo'n reis vind ik persoonlijk.

Меню и качество еды в ресторанах довольно посредственные. Для семей с детьми очень маленький выбор и в целом, выбор не большой. Сервисность именно в ресторанах средняя. На контрасте с другим персоналом курорта очень заметно.

Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeitenden war ausergewöhnlich, der Service top, alles sauber und schön. Entgegen einiger Bewertungen waren wir eher positiv überrascht über die Preise im normalen Restaurant. Wobei auch das Buffet für knapp 23 Euro an manchen Abenden (man kann an diesen Tagen aber auch ganz normal a la carte essen oder im Dorf) definit gerechtfertigt ist mit Sushi, Sashimi, Showküche, Seafood, Fleisch etc.! Auch der Fahrservice zu den Zimmern stand jederzeit zur Verfügung.

An- und Abfahrten sind kompliziert und muss man vorher planen, das weiß man aber, wenn man sich für so eine kleine Insel entscheidet :)

Excellent view from the breakfast restaurant and lovely sunset from the infinity pool. Breakfast has great variety of food options and many style of seatings to cater for different preferences.

Dinner order could have been taken sooner. There was a leak in the roof and had to change table during dinner as water was dripping on our table.

It has a wonderful villa and the pool in the villa had awesome ocean view. The staff was very polite. The property was clean and food was delicious.

Last two evening and night there was bugs and some kind if big flies all over the open areas pool bathroom area etc. they even came into the room

Loved the location (views and pools woahhhh!) and the staff (special shout out to Peter, Youth and Mook), the cars to get you from locations were awesome and well organised. Our room was spectacular, so well maintained, epic views and pool and private.
