Erg ruim gebouwd, je zit niet direct naast je buren.
Het ontbijtbuffet is 12/10, beste ontbijtbuffet wat ik ooit heb gehad, zeer ruime keuze en alles is vers.
Transfer geboekt bij het hotel, voor de terugreis naar Phuket Airport en deze was uitstekend geregeld.
Enigste puntje van kritiek: de prijzen voor de lunch en het avondeten, ik denk dat je meer mensen trekt als je deze wat gelijker trekt met alles wat buiten het hotel ligt. Dat het duurder is, prima, maar het prijsverschil was wel erg veel. Daarom zag je ook veel mensen buiten het hotel eten.

The main pool is also great, with beach bar, nice restaurants in the village. The atmosphere is calm. Great beach, with Kayaks provided. Highly recommended for relaxed and peaceful vacation

Je kan niet altijd a la carte eten omdat sommige avonden buffet geserveerd wordt. In laagseizoen is het 2e restaurant soms gesloten.

La végétation incroyable, l'intégration parfaite dans une nature très préservée et vivante (contrairement au célèbre presque voisin Anantara qui fait tâche dans le paysage), l'aménagement et la déco de la villa, la piscine principale incroyable, la vue, le personnel conforme au meilleur standard thailandais (c'est tout dire), le petit déjeuner (à l'exception de la critique ci-dessous). A noter que nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant.
dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de jus de fruits frais au petit déjeuner, mais c'est anecdotique

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026We loved the nature setting. Our room was really comfortable and spacious. The buffet breakfast was amazing. The best was the huge infinity pool with the view of the ocean.
The buffet breakfast hot food dishes selection was mostly meat dishes and could've had some more vegetarian options, however the staff dis let us order a vegetarian dish from the menu. The spa massage was a bit dissapointing and overpriced.

Está todo genial cuidado con cada detalle, hasta puedes encontrar animalitos por los alrededores. No olvidaremos nunca esta estancia, la recomendamos al 100%. También cabe decir que venimos en temporada baja, con lo cual hay muchísima tranquilidad y el tiempo climático nos ha acompañado positivamente.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Das Resort ist paradiesisch (naturnah) gelegen und schön angelegt und gepflegt. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit privatem Pool und Blick aufs Meer - traumhaft. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und bot eine große Auswahl an Süßem und Deftigem - sowohl das klassische europäische Frühstück (Brot, Müsli, Marmelade etc) als auch eine Auswahl an asiatischen warmen Gerichten. An der Theke wurden Eier und Omletts nach Wunsch zubereitet.
Die Kommunikation war hervorragend. Der Transfer vom Flughafen Phuket wurde im Vorfeld gebucht und lief reibungslos. Wir haben außerdem den Wäsche-Service genutzt, einen Schnorchelausflug gebucht und mehrere Massage-Angebote in Anspruch genommen (diese Services werden vom Hotel angeboten und kosten extra).
Inklusive war noch der Transfer zu einem Traumstrand (ca. 20min entfernt) und das Ausleihen vor Kanus (hatten wir beides gemacht und war super). Wir waren zur Low Season (August) dort und das Resort war (gefühlt) nur halb ausgelastet. Dadurch war es sehr ruhig und entspannt. Geregnet hat es trotz Regenzeit kaum.
Insgesamt ist es ein tolles, sehr naturnahes Resort, ideal auch für die Flitterwochen und Paare, die sich ein paar schöne Tage machen wollen. Als Familienresort sehe ich es eher nicht, da die Angebote für Kindern sehr überschaubar sind (kein Spielplatz, keine Rutschen), einmal täglich wird eine Stunde lang gebastelt oder getanzt. Da wir einen privaten Pool und gutes W-Lan hatten, waren unsere Kinder (13 und 14 Jahre alt) sehr zufrieden. Zudem kann man sich außerhalb des Resorts recht günstig Roller (mit Beiwagen) mieten und die Insel erkunden. Das hat Spaß gemacht und war mit ca. 600 Bhat (Tagesmiete) auch recht günstig. Wir mussten auch einmal wegen einer kleinen Wunde zum Arzt, das Resort hat uns zu einer Inselpraxis gefahren (ca. 20min Fahrt) und das nicht einmal in Rechnung gestellt. Der Inselarzt war sehr freundlich und kompetent.
Da das Essen im Resort preismäßig eher gehoben war (europäisches Niveau), haben wir uns dafür entschieden, außerhalb des Resorts essen zu gehen. Entlang der Straße gibt es fußläufig einige thailändische Restaurants, wo man für ca. 200 Bhat pro Gericht sehr gut essen konnte.
Der Wäscheservice wird vom Hotel nach Stück berechnet und war eher hochpreisig. 20-80 Bhat pro Stück Wäsche. Ab 10 Stück gibt es Mengen-Rabatt. Für eine 4-köpfige Familie mit entsprechendem Wäscheverbrauch (da heiß und hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit), kann das schon teuer werden. Wir haben daher auch hier den einheimischen Wäscheservice im Dorf genutzt, der nach Kg abgerechnet wurde (80 Bhat pro Kilo Wäsche) und waren damit sehr zurfrieden.

Met een peuter van 1,5 jaar oud vonden wij het soms lastig om ons de hele dag te vermaken. Een speeltuin of speeltoestellen zou een enorme aanwinst zijn!

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026The view from the restaurants at breakfast and dinner are incredible. Very good sized pools with plenty of sun beds for everyone. Cocktails were very nice, as was the food. We ordered drinks one day from the swim up pool bar and one of them being an iced coffee, which wasn't on the menu but they went out of their way to order it via 'The Nest' cafe and delivered it to us.
The restaurants for food are a little pricey compared to other places we have stayed in Thailand, however I think you pay a premium for the location and the fact that most things probably have to be brought over by boat.

Emplacement exceptionnel. Cette vue imprenable sur la mer et les rochers en face, le site en plein milieu de son élément naturel respecté et bien entretenu.
La piscine, magnifique et assez grande pour s’y sentir seule au monde.
Merci à Art aux restaurants qui nous a toujours reçu avec un grand sourire et s’est toujours assuré que tout se passe bien.
L’impression de déranger le personnel à la réception. Des sourires faux et malaisants.
Après plus d’un mois de voyage en Asie d’hôtels en hôtels c’est le seul et premier où nous avons eu le sentiment que l’argent prime avant tout le reste. Voyageant avec des enfants en bas âge et perdre du temps à négocier quelques euros dès l’arrivée a plomber l’ambiance de notre séjour. Sachant que nous n’avons aucun souci à consommer sur place, c’est dommage.
Le ménage dans la chambre est à revoir. Du sable en permanence c’est désagréable

Номера чистые, полотенца меняют каждый день, в номерах есть все необходимое, в том числе пляжные полотенца и сумка. По территории возит трансфер, если гостю покажется, что идти далеко. Есть кофейня, что меня очень порадовало) еда в обоих ресторанах очень вкусная, room-сервис отличный. Номер очень просторный, есть 2 кондиционера
Фото пляжа с booking совершенно не совпадают с тем, какой он на самом деле. А в действительности, вообще с его отсутствием. Вечный отлив 300м, не дойти до глубины, никто не купается, вода серая. Такси до ближайших пляжей 500-1000 бат. В номерах щели в стенах, иначе я никак не могу объяснить каждодневных гостей у нас в номере в виде всевозможных насекомых и ящериц

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Een prachtig resort, tot in de puntjes afgewerkt en volledig in thema. Vriendelijk personeel en zeer mooie bungalows. Het ontbijtbuffet is zeer uitgebreid. De buitendouche en bad vonden wij ook een leuke aanvulling. Er zijn ook gratis fietsen beschikbaar. De infinity-pool biedt een prachtig uitzicht op het strand en de zee, zeker bij zonsondergang.
Er kunnen beestjes binnen in de kamer. Zo zaten er meerdere gekko's in onze kamer, alsook cicades. Ze kunnen binnen door spleetjes in het plafond/dak. Misschien kan hier nog iets op gevonden worden.

Wir hatten eine Poolvilla mit Meerblick. Die Villa ist wunderschön und liebevoll gestaltet. Jedoch sind die Klimaanlagen sehr in die Jahre gekommen.
Ebenso sind die Preise im Hotel eigenen Restaurant und an der Poolbar für Thailand unverschämt. Für ein Soda Wasser 90 Baht zu bezahlen, ist fernab jeglicher Realität. In den anderen Restaurants auf der Insel kostet dies 20-30 Baht.

De mensen zijn vriendelijk en heel gastvrij. Dat is in heel Thailand, maar hier leek het nog een beetje extra. Het ontbijt is uitstekend, uitgebreid, vers. Ook het avondeten is heerlijk (twee restaurants). De bar bij het zwembad en op het strand maakt uitstekende cocktails! Het is wel echt voor de liefhebber van rust. Er is weinig te doen. Je kunt wel met een auto van het hotel naar het dorpje, maar het is een heel rustig, gemoedelijk eiland.

Petit déjeuner au top avec de vraies viennoiseries et même du fromage...
Parfait pour se détendre ou se reposer.
Les excursions sont plus chers que ailleurs. Le resto était moyens pour le prix.
Attention les bungalows sont espacés et nombreux, certains peuvent être loin de la piscine et réception...en sachant que l on peut croiser des varans....
Prachtig resort, ruim opgezet en passend in de natuur eromheen.
Voor kinderen mag er iets meer vertier komen. Denk aan een tafeltennistafel of iets dergelijks. Nu is het “ alleen”. Het prachtige zwembad maar in avond willen ze ook iets te doen hebben.

The resort is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. We also loved the pool bar, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options.
I highly recommend booking the island-hopping tour with Michael. He is an excellent guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable.

The only downside was that insects and centipedes occasionally got into our room, which made us think it might not be completely sealed. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026Great room, beautiful surroundings and location (although the beach is not "dreamy"), the pool is nice and big. The breakfast was also nice, with a lot of variety. There are a couple of very nice local restaurants 10 min walk.
The resort is located in nature, which is amazing, but there are quite loud bugs (I got woken up each morning at 5). The food at the restaurants is not great and overpriced (as an example, the same salad came with a nice grilled chicken first time, second time with a some-what boiled cold chicken). My 3-years old was given spoiled fresh milk (I tasted it myself) by accident. The pool bar happy hour became quite popular at some point, and they cancelled it.

Staying here truly felt like being in paradise. The rooms are beautifully surrounded by lush tropical trees, giving you the feeling of being completely immersed in nature. Every single detail of the hotel is thoughtfully designed and carefully maintained.
The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. The private beach was breathtaking, and at times it felt like we had it all to ourselves. The food was also excellent, with everything we tried being delicious.
In short, everything was perfect. We honestly couldn’t find a single flaw during our stay. Koh Yao Yai is a peaceful island with friendly local people, making it the perfect place to relax and disconnect.
We highly recommend this hotel and the island to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience.
Just a helpful tip for future guests: if you plan to pay in cash at check-out, make sure to exchange enough money beforehand, as the hotel accepts Thai Baht only (not US dollars). Credit cards are also accepted.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026De mooie omgeving waarin het hotel zich bevindt. Heel lief en behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk groot bed. Mooie zwembaden met uitzicht op zee. We hebben veel dieren gezien in de omliggende "tuin".
In onze eerste kamer zaten termieten waardoor er tijdens het slapen zaagsel op het bed viel. Dit hebben we gemeld en er werd keurig een nieuwe kamer aangeboden. En zelf een veel ruimere. Een mooie oplossing waardoor ons verblijf mooier werd.

The property's shuttle service was convenient, breakfast was excellent, and the poolside restaurant offered great service with happy hour drinks. The atmosphere is genuinely family-friendly, quiet, and relaxed. Fresh fruits from the grounds were a lovely welcome touch.
The shuttle from the pier to the hotel carries an excessive charge that should really be included, it's a hidden additional cost when there's no other way to arrive. The outdoor shower and bath weren't clean upon arrival and required us to clean it ourselves. The room also could have been cleaner before we checked in

Las habitaciones no estaban del todo limpias, y para considerarse hotel de alta calidad le faltaban muchos detalles, por ejemplo, nosotras eramos tres y solo había kimono, agua, vasos, las cosas del baño...para dos. Además, los amenities del baño eran excesivamente básicos, lo mismo que hemos encontrado en hoteles de 2 y 3 estrellas en Bangkok y Chiang Mai que costaban una tercera parte.
He sentido que ponen todo el esfuerzo en tratar de ganar dinero con todo lo demás, no había agua normal, solo podías beber premium siendo 5 veces más cara que en buenos restaurantes, y las excursiones muy muy caras cuando andando varios metros el mismo proveedor las tiene a la mitad. En resumen, es un hotel bueno, pero no si buscas lo considerado "lujo"

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026An amazing view and right on a lovely clean beach. Great sunrises if you are up and about. Wonderful, large infinity pool with swim up bar. Lovely spread for breakfast. A good fitness suite. Our room was a jungle room and was a little dark, the properties nearer the beach look like they are more airy, but assume are more money.
We were in low season and there were not lots of places to walk for dinner in the evening. The evening menu at the hotel was a little limited.

Stranden er ikke god til badning pga tidevand og beliggenhed, men man kan heldigvis leje scooter og køre til bedre strande. Ikke meget at lave på selve resortet udover poolen

Beautiful wherever you went, gorgeous views, the rooms, the nature & the staff. Best breakfast buffet i’ve ever had.
Also a scooter rental just outside the hotel where you could rent scooters for a good price
If you are scared of bugs etc beware that the shower is outdoors, beautiful but scary at night hehe
Not property related but we couldn’t really swim in the ocean due to low tide most of the day.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Its a beautiful resort and the staff is just wonderful. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and the bathroom was really nice and spacious. The porch lounge area is very nice as well. The breakfast is world class, could hardly be any better if they tried. The pool is quite nice, the views are great. We got to use the complimentary canoes which was a lovely little adventure.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Wunderschönes Luxushotel. Alles super edel gemacht, sauber. Es ist allerdings nicht das klassische Thailand, das man sonst erlebt, sondern man ist nur unter Touristen und die Preise für die Restaurants sind entsprechend. Wer das sucht, ist hier richtig.

Traumhafter Pool mit Blick auf die Bucht.
Wenn gewünscht, wird man hier mit Golfcars durch das Resort gefahren.
Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Meckern auf höchstem Niveau: Die Platten zum Einstieg in den Pool sind unangenehm unter den Füßen.

Reviewed May 13, 2026I have been coming to Koh Yao Yai Village for almost 10 years and it remains my favorite escape. The staff are incredible and the location is simply breathtaking—everything about this resort is amazing.
The only tiny downside is that the pillows are a bit too high for my liking. Other than that, it is absolute perfection. I’ll definitely be back again!

The rooms are surrounded by nature. If you are not comfortable with reptiles or small creatures such as geckos, worms, millipedes, or other animals, this place may not be suitable for you.
