Hotel Komune and Beach Club Bali

We had 5 nights at Komune in a resort room. The resort itself is stunning & the staff are so friendly & helpful. Our room was a big miss & the reason we will not return. There is zero storage. No drawers, no shelves, not even in the bathroom. All we got was 4 coat hangers to share. This is not a cheap place to stay. Why would you force your guests to live out of their suitcases for 5 nights? On the plus side, we discovered an outstanding restaurant just a few minutes stroll away. Walk out the main gate, turn left at the T & keep going until you get to the beach. Locas Waroeng is such a fab place to dine. Stunning views out to the beach, massive menu, super affordable & wonderful staff. Definitely worth a visit.

We have just enjoyed five wonderful nights at Komune Bali and cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The yoga was blissful, the surf was pumping every day, and the food and drinks were consistently delicious. The entire resort has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes it very difficult to leave. What really sets Komune apart, however, is the people. Every staff member was friendly, professional and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a memorable stay. A special mention must go to Fajar, who looked after us so well throughout our visit. His warmth, attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for the perfect combination of relaxation, wellness, great waves, fantastic food and outstanding service, Komune Bali delivers on every level. We will definitely be back.

We loved the property! The first few days we booked directly with Komune and we got an amazing upgrade. The staff were also so nice!

The resort rooms are quite small for what you’re paying. Things got a bit chaotic the day wedding guests arrived for the wedding the next day. Just slow service at restaurant not a big issue but felt like it could have been avoided with more staff and organisation.

We had an amazing experience at the kids club at Hotel Komune Bali. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease. Ayu and Siwi were absolutely fantastic, so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They took incredible care of the kids, keeping them engaged and entertained the entire time with a great range of fun activities. It was clear the children were not only well looked after but also having a wonderful time. It made such a difference knowing our kids were happy, busy, and in such good hands so that we could rest and take some time out. We couldn’t recommend the Kids Club more highly an excellent experience all around!

Wow Wow Wow .... This place is stunning ! If you need to wind down and just relax this is the place for you ! The surroundings of this Hotel is just beautiful ! The view out to the ocean and Beach Club from your room is amazing . The rooms are incredible and the best staff that are there to help you when ever needed. The food at the two restaurants are to die for an the atmosphere is lovely. You def to not want to leave the beautiful Resort. We can't wait to stay again .

This has been my 3rd time to Komune with my now 14 year old son. Our experience just gets better every year. My boy is a mad keen surfer and I enjoy yoga, so this truly is the perfect place for me to relax knowing that he is happy too. The staff are super friendly and the service is fabulous - I honestly only have good things to say about Komune. The highlight of my stay is attending Dindha's yoga classes. She guides you through intelligent sequences. She is very knowledgeable - keeping you safe, and may gently challenge you if you are open to it. I would choose to come here even if my surfer son wasnt joing me as the resort has everything I need from Dindha's yoga classes to all the healthy food options, and now the recovery centre as well which was a totally new experience for me - I loved it. Thank you Dindha and the Komune Crew. We look forward to returning again soon. Kylie & Josh!

I loved Ayu's attention in the nail area, she is a nice person and her work is very good, I highly recommend her, I loved my nails and they were beautiful!!

This resort is incredible! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Smiles abound everywhere. The food is delicious! We stayed for 7 days and I ate something different every night and everything was excellent. Favorite things were the fried calamari, tangy tuna meal (a huge piece of tuna seared to your preference), mei goreng. We had a resort room in the back and it was so quiet. We loved it. The beach rooms had some nights that their neighbors were having fun LATE into the night. The Spa was phenomenal! In 8 days I had 9 treatments. The prices are beyond reasonable compared to what we pay in the US. EVERY one of them was blissful and I wished it was longer. The Goddess package is a must do…3 hours and 4 treatments. My other favorite was the 4 Hands massage that has 2 people working in sync to massage at the same time. Heavenly 🙌💚

Oceanfront paradise with black sand beach + surfing at your doorstep We truly loved our stay! The hotel is in a perfect first-line beachfront location with an absolutely beautiful ocean view. The whole property feels tropical and calming, with a lush green area that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. There are two large pools, and one of them has a stunning ocean view, which was one of our favorite spots to unwind. The black sand beach is something special — it’s so unique and even sparkles in the sun. And if you love surfing, this place is a dream: surfing is literally right outside the hotel — you step out and you’re in the waves. Great atmosphere, beautiful setting, and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

It was big the land… and the beach club being next to the black beach with a nice view of the sea was wonderful

The standard rooms were very basic. And not much privacy. I have never been to a room this basic and small … esp when the land is huge. Literally u can look at your neighbors across the room. And it was not cheap these basic rooms… i don’t think these rooms are value for money.

They won’t allow Gojek drivers to collect customers. Instead you have to use the much more common local taxis, who then hassled us.

We visited the Komune Beach Club on our last day in Bali before a 10pm flight. We checked out of our accommodation and booked a driver for the day. The driver kept our luggage in the car while we spent the day at Komune Beach Club. We booked double loungers on their website which was easy to do. There was a 500k redeemable deposit per bed, which we easily spent on food and drink over the day. At the end of the day we used the outdoor shower and toilet/change rooms for a quick freshen up pre flight, hopped in our car and headed for the airport at 7.30pm. Amazing food, beautiful pool and views, fun tunes and some beach walks made for a really relaxed and fun last family day of the trip. The service was amazing and attentive and the food and drink options were fantastic.

The hotel was beautifully kept and manicured. The staff were extreemly polite, helpful and were welcoming, immediately making us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were lovely and kept in the original Gold Coast, Australia Komune colour theme which brought on a lovely sensation of nostalgia for my wife as she once frequented the original growing up with her footy team. It is a perfect place for families, couples looking to just relaxing without having to venture too far with almost perfect sets rolling in consecutively throughout the day. We were here in the wet season though and i dont know if it would be the same in the dry as the surf tends shift to the west coast. I think resonably priced food and drink for the establishment. Not as cheap as outside the walls but i feel that is to be expected. With daily yoga, and fitness classes, along with a private spa for massages and treatments, offering both comfort and convienience. We had a massage and it was the most relaxing one we experienced on our trip to date. We had been roughing it a bit before we got here so it was nice to have a change and treat ourselves a little. They were extreemly understanding and accomadating when my wife fell ill on our check out day, providing complimentary food, juice and water to help her get back to good health. They extended our check out time and also offered a doctors service to our room. The empathy and concern was very heartfelt and genuine. All in all a beautiful place to stay and would recommend to any to try at least once.

The price has gone up considerably over the last couple of years, but it does feel like there is added value every year….but I hope the trend doesn’t continue. This is about the top price I would want to pay.

We went for the surf and yoga classes/gym. It was a great set up. 2 pools, restaurant on the beach, happy staff and nice gardens.

Well I got Bali belly on my second day from eating at their restaurant which was the worst I’ve ever had coming to Bali. They gave me some juice and soup for it but it didn’t help very much. They said I could get a Dr but I declined. I’m still getting over it.. I thought a good restaurant would be better hygenically but no.. so be careful. Also there was loud music 🎵 going at night, I couldn’t work out where it was coming from, maybe the kids club?

Impossible de faire correctement un room service. Manger sur le lit 😑 car pas de siège pour 2 dans notre chambre.

Love Komune, this was our 2nd time visiting and would definitely return. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Food is amazing - every meal was spot on! Great location - Hubby could surf while I laid by the pool to watch. Kids also loved the kids club.

Only downside was some guests who had a bit of a domestic through the night and kept us awake as they were shouting outside our room. The manager was happy to hear about our experience and offered discount.

Great facilities and magnificent setting

I had THE BEST spa treatment at Komune today. I was blessed with Ayu, and she was so lovely! We had amazing conversations. She was so clean and precise with the pedicure and provided such a wonderful experience. It made me want to go back for the manicure straight away! Bringing all my family here!

Komune is so special to us, as we got married here September 2025. This place is pure bliss, our favourite spot in Bali! The location is stunning, the accomodation is beautiful and the staff are so kind and attentive. For the wedding everything was perfect. Kylie, Dewa, Anta and the rest of the wedding team went above and beyond for us. The attention to detail ensured the wedding day and events before and after went so smoothly and were so much fun. Everything was perfect - from the morning yoga, the incredible food and the fabulous dance floor (accompanied by some epic fireworks). Could not recommend Komune highly enough, and cannot wait to come back. Thanks so much to all the staff for making it so special!

We stayed at Hotel Komune and held our wedding there. In terms of the stay itself, the Komune staff were incredibly polite, attentive and helpful. The rooms and amenities were fantastic. Super clean and even the most basic rooms were lovely. We loved the gym and the ability to tailor your holiday to your preferences (i.e. surf, chill, gym, yoga etc.). The food was phenomenal and very affordable, as were the drinks. We couldn't recommend staying at Hotel Komune enough. We also held our wedding during this time at the resort. The day was magical and the staff helped make our vision come to life. The day ran so smoothly. The venue was incredible and we felt a lot of privacy on the day. The catering was incredible and nobody went hungry, we had so much food leftover. Hotel Komune staff, especially Dewa, Anta and Nanik, were on top of everything and preempted any questions or concerns we may have had. We felt so relaxed on the day. Further, for those thinking of a bali wedding, hotel komune feels like your own special spot in the world and the team will make any vision you have come to life. We couldn't recommend it more! Our guests all raved about what a fantastic night it was and how amazing the resort/service/experience was. All in all, the value for money is unparalleled. We will be back for anniversaries for sure! 11/10!

The whole resort is amazing, two beautiful pools and gorgeous ocean views. The food was excellent with all dietary requirements meet. Lots of greenspace to utilise, so many facilities. Something for everyone. Have recommended this resort to friends and family.

There was nothing not to like

Komune is a fantastic resort for a beachfront stay. We loved the yoga and fully equipped gym. Beds were always available by the pool and there was a fun yet chilled vibe. We booked a beachfront room and waking up to the sound of the waves was sooo nice! I also loved our private deck with lounger which was nice when you wanted to still lie out but away from the crowd. The service was wonderful, everyone was lovely. The spa staff especially were excellent. On the food, I will preface by saying we are foodies and had come from Ubud where you are spoiled for choice. It was a bit of an adjustment to the resort style food and whilst everything was nice, we did start to crave some different options. If you need a break from the restaurant there is a great warung (Warung Legong) on the main road. Overall our stay was great! I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at Hotel Komune and Beach Club Bali on 3 July 2025. It was the best decision that we had made for our wedding! We cannot fault a single thing, not even in the slightest! The staff at Komune are absolutely wonderful, caring, respectful, kind, generous, friendly, considerate and professional. They absolutely know what they are doing when it comes to weddings! We received numerous compliments for the wedding and especially for the food! Compliments to the Chef and his staff! A very special and heartfelt thank you to Dewa who made Komune feel like a home for us. Dewa went above and beyond to make sure that we got everything we wanted. He made sure everything was special for us, not only on the wedding day but for the whole time we stayed at Komune. Thank you also to Nanik, Anta, Suangga and Kylie. You are all absolutely wonderful people. Komune is a place that you do not want to leave because it provides everything you need in the same location. It is a marvellous place. We have immense gratitude towards Komune and all the staff for making our wedding a memorable and magical one!

Lovely property. Great food & spa treatments

I want to share a warning to other content creators and collaborators considering working with Hotel Komune Bali. In my experience, this resort asks for an unusually large number of deliverables across multiple locations, sometimes involving extra costs, which I found excessive and not typical of other hotel collaborations I’ve done. They also insisted on having my credit card details upfront before confirming any stay, which I found unnecessary and suspicious, especially since other hotels in Bali never required this for collaborations. Most importantly, I found the communication from the General Manager, Eka Jayantara (Mr.), to be rude, aggressive, and accusatory. This level of unprofessionalism is not what I would expect from someone managing a 4-star property and left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected.

I was in Komune for a wedding (not mine lol), The only thing that i can say is that it was one of the most wonderful place i ever stayed it was just awesome especially for the surf and the amazing staff. A special thanks to all them who are so kind, friendly and caring, having them around made the stay even more lovely. Their smiles brightened each day spent there even on rainy days. For the wedding who could have taught that the best wedding planer was a man, my dear friend Dewa AUGUSTIANA !!! You can put your trust in his hands for the special day of your life, he will handle it like his own, you'll leave with sparkle memories. He is accompanied by the stunning Anta and Nanik, both of them, hiding in the shadow like Batman and Robin jumping out of nowhere to help you with anything you need or want, always with their bright and friendly smiles. And for the food, you'll have your amazing Eben (and all his crew) !!! He is the reason i gain somes kilos, he even made me eat tofu and liked it. A big strong (like Hulk) cook, whose food will be remembered by your palate. The facilities are designed for both families with children and travelers without children looking to relax in peace. For families with children, there's a playground with a trampoline, various games, and even a skatepark. For those seeking a peaceful environment or wanting to exercise, there’s a small jogging track, a 24/7 open gym, and a child-free pool with a bar where you can enjoy calm. Thank you to my friend who has chosen the place for his wedding he made us discover a place and all i want now is to go back there and enjoy each moment at this place, watching the sunrise in the morning from the bar or the swimming pool; the 4 to 5 pm happy hour, a good dinner, and exchanging with the lovely staff i was blessed to meet, they are the heart of this resort.

Komune was such a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were gorgeous, comfy beds and the service was exceptional. Staff are so beautiful here and our our stay the best possible. Such a stunning location also, swimming in the pool watching all the surfers. Highly recommend

We had our wedding at hotel Komune and it was beyond our wildest dreams. The staff were so attentive and made sure every single detail was covered. As the Bride, I was not left with anything to stress about. There is such a peaceful and family friendly vibe. Everything you need is at the resort, you won’t need to leave and the staff will help you with any needs. This meant that we got to spend a lot of quality time with our family and friends. We will absolutely be returning one day as we have made life long memories here.

We have stayed here twice and just had our wedding here and it’s incredible! The staff go above and beyond. The hotel facilities are everything you could want and food is so delicious! They made our wedding the most special day and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smooth. Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue and hotel! Stayed for 1 week at Komune with my 4 year old daughter. Yaya and team at kids were amazing great facilities meant got surf and enjoy while my daughter was well looked after. This was my 2nd time komune and this time was even better the new sauna/ice bath facility is great! Special thanks to Dewantari, Mega and Lisina from the office for helping with extending our stay and being so accomodating.

This place is amazing, and the people who work here are even more amazing again! We got married at Komune just under 2 weeks ago and we couldn't of asked for a better day/night. From organising and planning it with kylie who went above and beyond to make sure our vision came to life to the whole wedding team on the day. Dewa was an absoulte champ who needs a pay rise and the girls who helped my throughout the day / night (pe and Anita) best fairy godmothers ever! 😊 thank you again to everyone at komune for a wedding we will never forget, we will be back for sure and thank you again for being a huge part of our special day, not a thing we would change!

Such a lovely restaurant with an incredible view. Would highly recommend for a relaxing breakfast. Adit is an awesome waiter who kindly offered meal suggestions and made the effort to check if we were happy for the cute local doggies to sit near us (which of course we were!).

Komune is like walking into a paradise. Rooms are spotless, modern and beds comfy. Food is 5star and presentation of every meal has style of international standards. Facilities are exceptional with plenty of room , yoga , aerial yoga, gym. Sauna, ice bath, pools, child free pool and area , kids area, massages , salon you will not be disappointed

Attending my second Ananda yoga retreat. Exceeding expectations with the addition of the sauna, ice bath + reformer Pilates studio. I’m loving every minute and already planning my next visit!! If I could give this resort 10 Stars - it still would not be enough! This is my third experience at Hotel Komune. Myself and my husband found this resort by accident in 2023 and what a blessed accident that was — we have been hooked ever since then! We travel 20 hours from the UK to Komune once a year and the long journey is worth every minute! We have now run a couple of 5 day Hypnotherapy retreats at Hotel Komune and everything from the reservations, food, organisation, scheduling and planning has always been a seamless operation. Every single member of staff treats you as if you are the only guest in the resort - they all get to know you by name and always miraculously remember your room number. The enthusiastic welcome from the porters and reception team we receive in Komune is full of love and joy — and it always feels like coming home to a long lost family - full of huge smiles and positive energy. Special thanks and huge gratitude to the amazing humans - Degus and Agung Adi for helping make our retreat flow smoothly and feel exclusive. Huge gratitude to the gorgeous souls in the spa. The treatments in the spa are the best on the planet and once you have had a Komune spa experience, you will always compare everything else to this! Agus and the bar, restaurant, kitchen and health hub staff are exceptionally attentive and will always bend over backwards to make every single meal experience memorable and delicious. There is a brilliant visiting band in the beach club bar are called Toba Band — and they are simply brilliant. I love the way they serenade us every year without fail with their charm and fabulous musical energy. The trainee staff members are also always so polite and happy and eager to learn and help. A special shout out goes to Pink - she is a special girl and has found a special home in my heart. Yoga with Dindha Lee is a huge highlight for us, she’s the best yoga teacher in the world and every year we always wish we could bring her home with us! There are so many of the Komune staff who I love and appreciate so much and I can’t want to see them all again next year in May at our third Find Your Flow Retreat.

If you are looking for the most amazing and relaxing wellness retreat then this is the place! I’ve never raved about a resort on social media before and I’ve stayed at some of the nicest resorts in Bali and Asia over the last 30 years - but this place takes the cake! It’s not the most expensive or the fanciest I’ve stayed but as a complete package it’s phenomenal and by far the best. Don’t get me wrong it is still pretty fancy and not cheap but there are more affordable room options. Komune Resort - Bali on the quiet east coast of Bali, but only about an hour from the airport, is just Devine and exactly what I needed after a very stressful few months. I went with one of my besties and we did the ultimate 4 night girls trip wellness retreat. Yoga daily / twice daily, included massages and spa treatments, all delicious meals included, fitness classes etc. But this place is not just another retreat venue. The energy of the place is unreal. The organic gardens and juices served three times a day, the incredibly friendly staff, the black volcanic beach sparkling like diamonds day and night, our beachfront villa with private plunge pool. The list goes on… 70 percent of the staff are employed from the little local village of Keramas and their joy and gratitude to be able to work close to home in a world class venue is palpable - of course translating to the guest experience. The food! OMG the food is delicious and so much variety which is essential really considering the remote location. They have an excellent creative chef! The resort was only 50 percent full so we were so fortunate to have our fave beachfront table every meal. The guests are all like minded people focused on health, fitness, relaxation and surfing 🏄‍♀️. Families to couples and girls trips all beautifully caterer for. There were a raft of group retreats going through during our stay but my advice is book it yourself and choose your schedule like we did. It’s a surf and wellness resort set in front of one of the world’s best surf breaks so if you love to surf this place is also for you. I’m not a surfer myself but sitting there at the restaurant watching perfect barrels rolling over the reef day after day was idyllic. We loved watching the local dogs and their puppies play in front of the resort all day. All animals are respected here and exist in harmony at the resort. A local duck 🦆 farmer walks his flock of ducks through the resort each evening much to the delight of the guests. Here are a few snaps from our most amazing trip. I can’t wait to go back soon, maybe next time with my husband!

Beautiful place, staff, spa, food, the list goes on! Had the best stay here practicing yoga for a week. The adult pool is a gorgeous spot to relax and the facilities are incredible. The spa was especially amazing and staff there were so friendly!

This is by far the best resort we have stayed at as a family. It met all of our needs from healthy delicious food to kind and attentive staff to an awesome kids club with staff who looked after our kids as they would their own. We used the trusted and beautiful soul Setia, the babysitter to mind our child a couple of hours daily. Our children were cared for and had so much fun. I can highly recommend the kids club and Setia if you need support for the kids. All of our needs were met as a family. Our cups are full and we cannot wait to return next year.

I came for a retreat & could not recommend Komune enough. The rooms were beautiful. The pools, the restaurants, the spa, the sunrise on the beach, and the shop were all beeeeautiful. I had a mani & pedi with the beautiful Aya and Desak to end my stay. Such beautiful souls. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everyone was just wonderful.

Just have to say thank you to the amazing staff at Komune for making our time there so special. We were lucky enough to have the new recovery centre (which is AMAZING) open while we were there and it was attended by Juni who was so friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you Juni!! We also adored Made, Kadek and Yaya from the kids club and babysitting who were so good with our baby and 3 year old. I’ve never met more attentive childcarers who connect so well with children. They had endless energy and smiles and we felt our babies were so safe and happy with them. Honestly all the staff are so beautiful and are what makes this place so special. We can’t wait to return in the future.

We had our wedding at Komune and it was more than we could ever hope for. The hotel itself is amazing, the staff are incredible and would do anything for you. I didn’t stress at all about how the day would go as the staff were all over it. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for making our few days so perfect! We can’t wait to come back every year for our anniversary

Hotel Komune, Congratulations on providing such an amazing holiday for our family. Surfing- amazing to watch and paddle out. Yoga, absolutely beautiful, each and every morning and afternoon. Our yogi - experienced and spiritual making it an humbling and enlightening experience. There’s a kids club, our children, who are 10 and 13 were happy to use the skate bowl and trampoline section. The spa and hair, gorgeous!!! Everything you want on holidays.. The pools, one for families to watch over the surf and an adult one too. The rooms are modern, very clean and has everything you need. We had interconnected room - brilliant. Every day, lovely, sweet staff came in and remade our rooms. Never a drama but always a smile. Last but not least- the service of the staff is EXCEPTIONAL!!! We cannot fault at all. Smiley, helpful, extremely helpful, will do anything to make your stay EXTRA enjoyable! Everyone here at HOTEL KOMUNE from the lovely gardeners, to the wonderful room cleaners, to the waiters, to the pool boys, to the restaurant staff, to the reception, to the front gate man, to the kid zone beautiful staff, to the gym and yoga staff …. Absolutely EVERYONE is friendly, beautiful with children, happy and create such an amazing environment and experience. The only disappointment is, I wish o had booked a room with a pool. The surf is just steps away from both the pool and the accommodation—perfect for jumping straight into the waves. There’s yoga, a well-equipped fitness centre, a relaxing spa, and an amazing restaurant that looks right out over the break. For those after a quieter vibe, the adults-only pool near the health club is the perfect spot to unwind. A huge shoutout to Juli, who went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional—his service was honestly outstanding. Hotel Komune really does have something for every type of traveller. I was after a few chilled-out days surfing while waiting for friends to join me, and that’s exactly what I got. Thanks for the incredible stay, Hotel Komune! I’ll definitely be back.

This was my fourth stay and as always I absolutely loved it! If you are looking to holiday in peace and quiet this is the place for you. Staff are incredible and food is clean/ fresh and very well priced. The massages were fantastic and our gym instructor was awesome. Cannot recommend this place enough

Komune is always a must-visit for me every time I come to Bali! The surfing, staff, and rooms are all amazing. A special mention to Dindha for her incredible yoga classes -the best I’ve experienced in Bali. Both the beachfront and jungle shalas are stunning.

Paradise lost and rediscovered! This Hotel Resort ticks all the boxes. Our second visit in a couple of years it has great fitness and yoga facilities and great, healthy food unless you want to splurge of course! The pools are great and the rooms are fabulous with all the mod cons. Pay the extra for an ocean view suite - superb vue. But the kicker is the spa and massage therapists. All professional, all unique in their own way, but each of them leaves you feeling like you went to paradise. Thank you Ayu, Sungli and Ketut. We’ll be back!

Just had the most incredible 5-star, 4 hands massage from two amazing ladies Tanik nyoman and kadek at this amazing Hotel. They worked in perfect sync, creating the most relaxing and seamless experience. Hands down, the best massage I’ve ever had!!! Truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

I come here every year, great service, great rooms and excellent food. It’s very clean and and has good facilities, including the spa… Ms Ayu did a fantastic massage - dug in and then hot bath afterwards perfect after surfing. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Day 2 of a 5 day wellness spa and the best treatments..Anu’s Balinese serenity massage to start and then her reflexology knowledge and treatment relieved so many aches…so serene and peaceful, looking forward to neck massage and will be coming back very soon for more of this paradise 🌸
