Our stay at the Gleann Fia was wonderful. The location was beautiful, the property was was calm and welcoming. The host Connor was kind and very knowledgeable Gave us some great local advice on what to do to make the most of our stay . Bridget, at breakfast was lovely and very friendly. Our room was cosy and we could hear the lovely steam from our room .

Setting beautiful but very close to Killarney center, easy accessibility. The house and grounds are beautiful. room very clean and modern.

Conor, one of the owners and who checked us in, was amazing. He immediately asked us our plans for the following day and gave incredible recommendations/adjustments to our itinerary. He set out breakfast an hour early for us and truly made us feel at home.

We truly loved everything. The property was gorgeous, the owners were accommodating and kind, and the location was perfect.

Beautiful building and rooms! The dining area is lovely. The breakfast was delicious! The lounge is well supplied with various bar drinks and snacks.

The bathroom/shower room is one … water is everywhere and the steam causes everything to be further wet! While breakfast is delicious with a variety of foods to choose, it was the same every morning… providing different hot items each day would have been preferable.

Charming, comfortable, spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. Cozy lounge areas and friendly hosts. This was the perfect base for exploring the area.

We didn't have any complaints.

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit (drei Nächte) bei Connor und Birgit. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich. Ich bin auf Daunen allergisch. Auf meine Bitte hin, wurde es sofort gewechselt. Zimmer und Bad war sehr sauber.

Nichts. Falls überhaupt, dann, dass das Bad in meinem Zimmer sehr klein war. Ich musste, um zur Toilette zu kommen quer am Waschbecken vorbeigehen. Das Badezimmer meiner Freundin war größer. Außerdem gab es, was toll ist, eine Regendusche. Ich hätte mir zusätzlich eine Handbrause (ich bin nur 1,60 m groß) gewünscht. Die vorigen Sätze sind als Ergänzung, nicht als Kritik gedacht. Das möchte ich ausdrücklich sagen.

Our stay at Gleann Fia Country House was amazing! The house is beautiful, and sits in the most picturesque setting. It even had the kindest neighbor, who was so wonderful to us when we accidentally turned down her driveway (just look for the sign, and you will be fine). The hosts were kind and helped us set up our tour to the Gap of Duloe. The breakfast was delightful and service amazing. 100% would stay again. The Manor is just out of town, and so it's quiet and away from any traffic. But an easy drive into town.

The park-like setting was lovely, as were the proprietors. Bridget prepared a special breakfast for me when I was experiencing some stomach upset, and Conor gave us very helpful local travel advice.

From the moment of arrival to departure, all my experiences were positive. From early morning flirtations with Brigit at breakfast to Conor’s gushing praise of me as his ‘chosen driver’, to the beautiful grounds outside - the property bounded to one side by the Deenagh river - it’d be my accommodation of the year, so far..

I get an accommodation allowance, and while Gleann Fia breached it, I’d come regularly if a Special Driver rate could be made available.. Its location outside of town is no real disincentive, just a 25 walk to the centre of town..

Mr. Conor and Ms. Bridget were exceptional hosts. So kind, gentle, and polite. They really made sure that my stay was super comfy. In addition to being at a quiet, peaceful location, the property was extremely well managed. The highlights for me were Ms. Bridget's breakfast and Mr. Conor's guide to exploring Killarney. This property is not to be missed if you get a chance to stay here!

Very clean and very nice stuff and helpful.

The hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was prepared with great care. The room was cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Almost everything about my stay was wonderful.

Since it's located far from the city center, I recommend coming by car. The lack of a shower cabin in the bathroom meant that everything got wet when I took a shower.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole. I proprietari di casa, Conor e Bridget, sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili: ci hanno dato ottimi consigli e spiegato i percorsi migliori da fare per scoprire la zona. La camera era spaziosa, molto pulita e il letto davvero comodo. Anche gli spazi comuni sono ben mantenuti. La colazione è stata buona e preparata con prodotti locali, alcuni dei quali provenienti direttamente dal loro giardino. La struttura si trova vicinissima alla città, ma è immersa nel verde e in una zona tranquilla, tanto che durante il soggiorno non abbiamo sentito praticamente nessun rumore. Una posizione ideale per rilassarsi dopo una giornata in giro. La consigliamo vivamente anche per la sua vicinanza alle principali attrazioni e ai percorsi più belli del Ring of Kerry. Un posto davvero accogliente!

Beautiful old building and wonderful garden

Room under roof very hot. Was looking forward to breakfast in the beautiful sunroom, but was tucked away at a wall in the corner right next to busy kitchen exit. No view at all, was told everyone had to stick to their assigned table for their whole stay. Every other table was either in the sunroom or had at least some view to the garden.

Conner was a great source of information and gave me fantastic tips as well as planing a route that was unforgettable over the Healy Pass. His was served breakfast which was fantastic with local cheeses and great hospitality all the way through! Hi marks indeed!

Au premier abord, notre hôte a été directif, ne pas manger dans la chambre… mais c est montré par la suite très professionnel en nous indiquant les visites à table.

Gleann Fia is immaculately kept and wonderfully tucked away in the serene surroundings of Killarney, making it a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We stayed in Room 9, which was incredibly spacious and had two comfortable beds that my partner and I actually made full use of during our stay! The room felt bright, clean and very well maintained, with plenty of space to settle in and feel at home. The bathroom was also impressively large, spotlessly clean and extremely well kept, which really added to the overall comfort of the room. Everything throughout the property felt cared for and maintained to a very high standard. The setting itself is one of Gleann Fia’s real highlights. Despite being conveniently located for exploring Killarney and the surrounding area, it feels wonderfully peaceful and tucked away from the busier parts of town. It was a lovely place to return to and unwind after spending the day exploring this beautiful part of Ireland.

There was honestly very little, if anything, that we didn’t like about the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found everything to be exceptionally well maintained, clean and comfortable. If I were to make just one small recommendation, it would be to consider replacing or refreshing the pillows, as ours had lost some of their fluff and support. This is only a very minor point and certainly didn’t detract from what was otherwise a fantastic and extremely comfortable stay.

Lovely quiet place with a river in the back garden. Had an excellent night sleep. Lots of localy sourced fresh produce for breakfast eg. eggs, cheese, jams. Bridget was very lovely at breakfast. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our two day stay at Gleann Fia very much. It’s a perfect location as a base to visit Killarney and for touring the Ring of Kerry which we did. Conor is a mine of information and gave many great tips on what to look out for, and Brigit is so lovely to talk to at breakfast which is absolutely delicious. Just wish our stay could have been longer, we’d love to return some day in the future.

Ich war begeistert, vom Haus, vom Mobiliar und von den beiden Besitzern, so wie vom Personal. So freundlich und Familiär. Es war wirklich ein traumhafter Aufenthalt. Wenn man einen Landaufenthalt mit kleinem Bächlein und Garten haben will hat das Country House die perfekte Lage. Zum Frühstück gibt es alles was das Herz begehrt. Wenn man etwas unternehmen will wie Essen, Radfahren oder eine Bustour gibt der Besitzer an der Rezeption gleich beim einchecken wertvolle Tipps.

We had a very spacious room, super comfortable, with a very large bathroom as well. Besides the nice bed, the room had plenty of storage and a comfortable couch to relax. The property was super nice and clean with a lounge to relax too. The breakfast was so delicious with local products only and home made food. But the best of the best was Connor and Bridget's hospitality, great communication, so personable, and so generous of their knowledge. Connor gave us awesome tips for our trip - what to see, where to stop, which road to use, where to eat... etc.

NOTHING - Just that you must have a car or taxi to arrive there.

I loved EVERYTHING!! Hosts Conor and Bridget were brilliant, Conor was so knowledgable advising us on out tour of the Ring of Kerry…we essentially did everything he told us to do 🤣 The bed was very comfortable and breakfasts delicious.

Bien placé proche de Kilkenny et pour les départ vers Dinggle ou Ring of Kerry, propre et spacieux avec parking. Mais bien trop cher pour le service associé. Nous avons réservé une nuit suivante dans un hôtel de luxe Corks Vienna Wood Hotel pour 20% moins cher et 100% de service en plus.

Rigidité des hôtes. Conseils et explications complètes mais sur un mode automatisé. Interdiction de prendre le petit déjeuner dans la verrière avec vue si on n'a pas réservé au moins 3 ou 4 nuits (2 dans notre cas). Alors qu'on paie le meme tarif a la nuit on est cantonné dans un recoin de la salle de dejeuner avec interdiction de changer de table attitrée. Et pendant qu'on déjeune tôt et seul la verriere est vide en attente de ceux qui se levent tard mais qui ont réservé plus de nuit et ont priorité sur la salle agréable... laissez les invités choisir leur table en fonction de l'heure d'arrivée !!! Interdire la salle dont vous faites un argument publicitaire est une escroquerie! Notre expérience n'est pas la " bright and airy dining room" mentionnée . Ou alors indiquez qu'il faut réserver au moins 4 nuits pour bénéficier de l'ensemble des services. Notre seule déception de notre tour d’irlande

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt! Schöne, ruhige Lage mit Parkplätzen in parkartigem Ambiente. Die beiden Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und engagiert und gaben uns tolle Infos und Tipps für unsere Ausflüge. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher eingerichtet, tolles Bett und großes, modernes Bad. Etwas Besonderes sind die großen Aufenthaltsräume im Erdegschoss, mit Bibliothek und großem SelfService-Barbereich. Leckeres, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit regionalen und frischen Produkten. Am letzten Tag hat uns sogar ein junger Rehbock beim Frühstück zugeschaut! Unsere beste Hotelerfahrung auf unserer Irland-Rundreise.

Lediglich das Wlan-Signal war im Zimmer (im 2. OG) sehr schwach und nicht stets funktionsbereit. Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemäkeln.

Het is een prachtge B&B midden in het groen en dus zeer rustig gelegen. Heel vriendelijk ontvangen en veel goede tips gekregen over wat te doen en waar te eten. We hadden een zeer ruime kamer en vrij recente zeer propere badkamer. Ook een heel lekker ontbijt met zelf gebakken brood van de gastvrouw en vele lokale produkten. Er is ook een gezellinge zitruimte beneden waar je jezelf wat te drinken kan uitschenken. Verder een ruime parking en vermits het wel een stukje uit het centrum ligt is een auto wel aangeraden

I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. Everything was authentic, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and made each morning special. What impressed me the most, however, was the incredible hospitality of the hosts. They were so kind, caring, and attentive throughout my stay. I was unable to book a taxi to an important ceremony, and the host kindly drove me there himself. I am truly grateful for his help, generosity, and willingness to go out of his way to assist me. Thank you so much for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

An amazing place to stay. Close to town, a stunning property in the most Divine natural surroundings. One of the nicest places we have stayed. Highly recommend. Our hosts Connor & Bridget could not be any more helpful or kind. Their service was outstanding & they are the loveliest people.

The bed was small for a couple (double size), but we also had a spare single bed in our room. It was also quite hot when we stayed, which was unusual for Ireland & there’s no air con. but plenty of natural breeze through the windows, so not a big deal. Overall very little to complain about. Everything was outstanding really.

This airbnb and their hosts are soo nice. I had an amazing stay, such friendly hosts, great home made breakfast, comfy room and beds and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend it.

Only one thing if I may say. If you put a good squirt of White Wine Vinegar in the compartment of the washing machine where the comfort should go the towels will come out very soft and not smelling of vinegar. Everything was amazing! The drive way gives a real country house feel, and the river and the bridge just set everything off! I arrived 20 minutes early and Conor was welcoming and allowed me to check in early. He gave me some great tips on where to visit to avoid the crowds and bad parking, beautiful scenery and coffee. He also recommended local family run restaurants too. The conversation was lovely. The room was immaculate, very clean - you can't fault them. I slept extremely well and the sound of the river on the property was gorgeous - Very therapeutic! Breakfast was so tasty, I'm a big fan of bread and was delighted to hear that Bridget makes her own, along with the jam, marmalade, honey, yoghurt and cheeses. One of the staff (I'm sorry, i can't remember her name) took my cooked breakfast order and was out in no time with it to me. Bridget was a lovely host and really took the time to check in with everyone over Breakfast and to make sure no one in the dining room wanted for anything. Beautiful, positive lady. I couldn't get over it when she told me that she cycles the Ring of Kerry every year - I nearly fell off my chair! A great lady. I believe deer frequent the gardens, though I wasn't lucky enough to see them on my visit. Check out was as easy as the check in, and I only wish I had the time to stay longer! I will be back - if Conor and Bridget will have me!

Das Frühstück war fantastisch und wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail frisch zubereitet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr lieb und haben wertvolle Tips für Sehenswürdigkeiten auf dem weitern Weg, aber auch super Tips für Abendessen gegeben.

Die Dusche hatte keine Wand / keinen Vorgang, sodass man immer das halbe Bad unter Wasser gesetzt hat. Die Lüftung im Bad hat auch nicht ausreichend funktioniert, sodass man bereits Anzeichen von Schimmel an der Decke erkennen konnte.

Probably one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. The owners are wonderful people, the property is beautiful, and everything was clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was excellent; for the first time, I genuinely enjoyed spending time in the shared areas of the accommodation. I will definitely use their services again in the future.
