La habitacion era muy grande con vistas al fiordo. El baño era muy grande también. Cenamos y desayunaos en el hotel y la ccena estuvo delicioso y el desayuno tambien muy bueno. El personal muy amable. Me volveria a alojar sin ninguna duda.

It was close to the Abbey, the room was comfortable and had a bath tub. Food at the hotel was decent.

The view is spectacular but the cost of the deluxe bedroom on ground floor with sea view was a bit excessive. I liked the fact that I could access my own Netflix Account on the TV in the room.

There is a outside metal staircase up to the upper floor rooms in the annex, nothing wrong with it except I found it difficult for older people

No comfortable chairs in the room to relax in. Could do with a few comfortable bucket chairs. Also the extractor fan didn't work well in the accessible bathroom. Floor always wet.

We were in the extension so we had to climb outdoor stairs to room.

Location, comfy bed and pillows, House keepers leave rooms Spotless a credit to the hotel. Tea , coffee in room. Great shower, fluffy towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided smells lovely. TV easy to use and great free WiFi connection. We had our 2 doggys with us we had a room on the bottom floor as one of our doggys is blind. Room was spacious for us and doggies, nearby pee poo walks late at night or early walk, hotel outside well lit. Doggys were allowed to eat with us in the patio porch has 4 tables great views. We had lunch and dinner with them in the patio porch no problem. Great selection of food for veggys and meat eaters. Also cater for gluten free no problem , breakfast room has area set up for gluten free with separate toaster, soya milks, gluten free bread and cereals. Breakfast we sat in the same area just have to go into breakfast room and choose your juice, cereals, toast, cheese, hams, yogurts from there. Staff them come to the patio porch and take your hot order and what you would like to drink. Also allowed in lovely big sitting room full of space and antiques. Hotel for was near to all the places we wanted to visit, Kylemore Abbey, Achill Island, Oughterard, Clifden, Roundstone, Westport. Hope to return, Fantastic break for us and our doggys. Thank you

Location

The hotel is in such a fabulous location on Killary Fjord with views of the sea and the mountains. The residents lounge was very nice with live music on the two nights we were there. The bar area is small and mostly used for bar food which seems a pity. Room was huge and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Plenty of parking and an EV charger on site. It's a short walk into the small village with its pubs, shops, etc. A great base for touring Connemara or Mayo. The food selection for lunch was a little limited but what we did order/eat was great. (Wasn't possible to get an Aperol Spritz in the bar, which surprised me - even though there was a bottle of it behind the bar!).

There is an old charm there and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. The food is excellent too. We really enjoyed our time there.

Our room was above the bar/dinning room so when background music was played for dining at breakfast we heard and felt every thump of the music from very early in the morning. Not every morning, depended on the music played.

I didn’t want to leave a poor review however booking.com prompted me again so I will. The room smelled absolutely terrible of old stale smoke, making my stay rather uncomfortable it wasn’t a scent that you would get used to. It lingered in my nose the whole time I was in the room, thankfully I only got there at 9pm and checked out at 11 the next day so I didn’t spend too much time in the room. I understand the hotel says the decor is old fashioned and not done up however that’s no excuse to not change the carpet to eradicate the smell of old stale cigarettes. When I arrived that evening, after a particularly long day working on Inis Mor and then a long drive to the hotel, I was told to proceed to the bar the staff will look after me as I hadn’t eaten all day. When I asked for a table for 1 at the bar (bearing in mind the bar was busy) the staff looked at me as if this was a huge inconvenience to give away a table to just one person, rather than keep it for a couple. They did not want to waste the table feeding just one person. I wouldn’t have ate at the bar and would have left if it wasn’t so late and if I was able to eat elsewhere but unfortunately that wasn’t an option. The food however was very nice. The view from the windows is very beautiful.

Breakfast was nice, had everything we needed/wanted. Rooms along the front of the hotel had beautiful views of the lake. They also had live music in the evening.

Room 71, Shower was nice, but didn't drain. Had to take a very short shower because of that. I told the front desk. Hopefully they get it fixed, but it looked like it had been a problem because the bathroom door showed signs of water damage.

Nothing, sorry we couldn't stay longer

All staff from reception to restaurant staff were professional and friendly. There was ample space for parking and a sitting room near reception that was lovely to browse or wait for other members of our party. There was a garden area as well as a newly built community park a few minutes walk away to exercise our large dog. The pet friendly room was also spacious, comfortable and clean. Enjoyed luxurious seafood dinner as well as Bed&Breakfast option. Filling and tasty.

There were minor maintenance issues (basin plug being stuck) but reception very responsive and attended to immediately.

Le personnel est avenant, très aimable et disponible. L'hôtel est bien géré en toute cohérence. L'emplacement devant le Fjord est exceptionnel. La vue et l'ambiance sont extraordinaires. Nous avons assisté à un concert de musique traditionnelle du Connemara. Superbe endroit et expérience.
