Das Frühstück ist einfach und sehr gut, alles, was man essen muss am Morgen , alles ist frisch und lecker. Die Lage ist einfach super, in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, ein paar Schritte vom Hotel entfernt

WLAN könnte besser sein.

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstücksangebot. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Lage im Ort, Nähe Bahnhof, Restaurants und Aareschlucht, ist optimal. Man kann das Auto abstellen und alles zu Fuss oder dem ÖV erreichen. Das historische Hotel selber gefällt uns vom Ambiente sehr gut und das Pub im Untergeschoss (separater Eingang) ist eine Bereicherung.

Die Lärmdämmung zum Gang (Tür) ist nicht sehr gut. Wir hatten aber bei unserem Aufenthalt selbst keine Probleme damit (evtl. Nachsaison oder die Gäste waren gut im Haus verteilt). Die Matratzen waren uns etwas zu hart. Im Grossen und ganzen war es aber o. K.

Muy buen recibimiento con una gran variedad de fruta, aperitivos y bebidas gratuitas. Las habitaciones están reformadas y las vistas y ubicación son muy buenas, especialmente para los seguidores de Sherlock Holmes.

Los ascensores están un poco antiguados y el acceso con carrito de bebé no es nada cómodo.

A wonderful hotel with a fata morgana feeling of early 20th century atmosphere and decor - it was actually called "Englischer Hof" before which connects with the legendary visit of Sherlock Holmes in the town. The hotel is beautiful, large spaces, amazing drawing and lovely dining rooms. The rooms themselves are grand, nicely equipped and furnished and with a balcony to the Alps were you sit and view the last remnant of a glacier and hear waterfalls - rare! Dining in Meiringen is pricy and even difficult off season but this Hotel even has a lovely Irish pub at its basement, where you can get great food and awesome drinks for half the city price.

I would have to dig deep and be petty to find something really negative in this hotel.

房间宽敞通透，窗外景色迷人，阳台对着远山。酒店准备了欢迎水果和红酒，下楼小镇有些精致的礼品店铺，多走几步就是一派田园风光，我和家人在这里度过了难忘而美好的两天。迈林根是我非常喜欢的小镇，松弛而宁静。

早餐尚可，但选择有限。

Very welcoming from start to finish. Everything was no terrible at all. Lovely rooms and great choice for breakfast.

Das Jugendstilhotel ist in wenigen Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Die grosszügigen Zimmer sind stilgerecht eingerichtet, das Bad trotzdem modern und zeitgemäss. Von den Zimmern aus hat man eine schöne Aussicht und sind sehr ruhig gelegen. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstück.

Die Dame beim Check-In war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück sehr gut und auch hier sehr freundliches Personal. Der Park ist wunderschön und auch ein Besuch im Pub darf nicht fehlen. War durchwegs positiv Überrascht.

Que le buffet du petit déjeuner soit dans une salle et nous mangeons dans une autre. Nous allons chercher le repas dans les mains, pas un plateau, au risque de renverser, ou se brûler.

Zimmer war grosszügig und sauber. Hat an nichts gefehlt. Schön gepflegtes Haus aus alter Zeit. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Schade war der schöne Park nicht offen resp. bedient.

Very welcoming staff, including one who stayed late when I rang up to say I would be late for check-in after missing a train.

Reception closed at 9pm so I paniced as I was locked out as I was late.. Main phone number is only answered in the morning. Reception number was hard to find and work out. I eventually made contact and a kind young man stayed behind to let me in.

Zimmer sehr schön, Minibar war kostenlos und haben eine schöne Früchteschalte, Nüsse, Chips und einen Wein im Zimmer gehabt. In der Nacht war es sehr ruhig. Frühstück alles was man braucht.

Estilo clásico y señorial. Muy bien ubicado y con parking cómodo y gratuito. Buen desayuno y personal muy amable.

Propreté de la chambre, literie très vétuste, robinetterie qui se désagrège. Infrastructure fermées durant la journée malgré un magnifique jardin qui permettrais un déjeuner au soleil. Pas de restauration non plus le soir.

Das Check-in und Check-out ist einfach und unkompliziert. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und es wurde sofort alles erklärt. Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem schönen Garten. Genügend Parkplätze und gut gelegen. Sauber, freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Frühstück.

Tolle lage, sehr ruhig, freundliches personal, sehr feines zmorge. Wir waren bereits das 3. mal hier, auf unseren töfftouren…

Beim zmorge wären zusätzliche teller beim buffet und körbchen fürs bereitgestellte brot hübsch…

Alles super, war ein bisschen warm ohne Klimaanlage. Ansonsten schönes altes Hotel, sehr gut in Schuß!

Posizione ottima, buona colazione, bella struttura e camera molto spaziosa. Nel complesso l’hotel ha fascino e si trova in una posizione davvero comoda.

Purtroppo la camera era molto calda. Comprendo perfettamente che, trattandosi di una struttura protetta, non sia possibile installare un normale impianto di aria condizionata, ma il ventilatore messo a disposizione è servito davvero poco. Inoltre, nonostante le temperature estive, sul letto c’era ancora un pesante piumone invernale. Molto carina l’idea di lasciare in camera un piccolo Toblerone come pensiero di benvenuto, peccato che a causa del caldo fosse completamente sciolto. Le estati sono ormai sempre più calde e credo che una struttura di questo livello dovrebbe adeguarsi maggiormente alla stagione estiva, anche con soluzioni alternative alla climatizzazione e con una biancheria da letto più adatta alle temperature.

Schönes Hotel mit viel Charme

Ich fand es sehr schade dass die schöne Lounge//Bar nicht geöffnet war obwohl auf der Homepage steht dass diese von 17.00 bis 22.00 täglich geöffnet ist. Vielleicht auch die Beleuchtung ausschalten damit man von aussen nicht den Eindruck bekommt es sei geöffnet. Auf alle Fälle die Infos auf der Webseite anpassen!

Das altehrwürdige, geschichtsträchtige Gebäude. Der wunderschöne Park mit dem alten Baumbestand. Die beiden netten Mitarbeiterinnen an Recepcion und draussen beim Cafe/Glacestand.

Das Bett war nicht sehr bequem, müsste erneuert werden.

WIFI po dobu pobytu velmi špatně fungovala. Snídaně na 4* hotel průměrná. Po dobu snídaně pouze 1 talíř.

La cadre est beau. Mais que beau.

Les chambres était trop chaud et impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre qui donne sur le parc car des personnes faisaient la fête jusqu’à 1h du matin. Impossible de dormir avant 2h du Matin. La salle de restauration du petit déjeuner est située à plus de 20 m du buffet. Aucun plateau a disposition pour parcourir les 20 m de couloir avec des tasses de cafés, jus d’orange et assiettes. Très mauvaise organisation.

Personnel très accueillant et aux petits soins pour notre chien. Excellent buffet petit déjeuner pris dans le magnifique jardin

Goede locatie in een klein dorpje. Mooie omgeving. Goede parkeer mogelijkheden.

Minder comfortabel als wat ik had verwacht, zeker voor die prijs. Bedden waren niet comfortabel, slechte kussens. Algehele onderhoud ook niet best. Ontbijt was matig.

A real treat for Sherlock Holmes lovers. One can enjoy living in the decorum belle époque and visit the Museum next door combined with the Reichenbachfälle. The Garden is beautiful and the Irish Pub serves great food and drinks in the evening. The Hotel is located in the heart of Meiringen, calm, with great views at the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. We had a big room, nicely cooled down during the heatwave. A very enjoyable experience at the Sauvage in Meiringen.

schönes, altes haus mit grand-hotel-flair

bisschen in die jahre gekommen. wenn man es ruhiger mag, sollte man ein zimmer nach vorne hinaus vermeiden. umso mehr, weil ohne klimaanlage man das fenster offen lassen möchte. ebenfalls nicht angenehm, war die sehr laute reisegruppe. da müsste das personal auch mal darauf aufmerksam machen, dass man türen auch normal schliessen kann und sie nicht zuwerfen muss.

It was very pleasant to stay at this hotel.. Little bit of old but nice! Staff was very friendly and hotel is very clean.

Abbiamo apprezzato molto la struttura antica, che conserva uno stile retrò davvero invidiabile. La camera era confortevole, dimensioni oltre le aspettative, pulita e fornita di frigorifero e possibilità di farsi una tisana/caffè (sembra scontato ma in estate il frigorifero per riporre bibite e gustarle fresche ha un valore aggiunto). Il giardino è davvero una chicca, so che crea più lavoro per il personale ma poter fare la colazione in giardino rispetto al salone ha un altro sapore.

Sicuramente la colazione; il buffet potrebbe essere più fornito, soprattutto più vario e offrire dei prodotti della regione come formaggi tipici, yogurt e salumi di qualità (quelli presenti sembravano provenire da pacchetti preconfezionati. Si potrebbe migliorare l'attenzione ai clienti intolleranti, mancavano gli yogurt senza lattosio per esempio. Abbiamo apprezzato la presenza di latte di soia e avena. Un'aspetto migliorabile inoltre riguarda l'assenza di un condizionatore, con le temperature sempre più alte un ventilatore è poco efficace per contrastare l'afa notturna.

Zeer mooie locatie, 1 minpunt geen airco, maar dat schijnt in Zwitserland moeilijk te zijn.

Uitzicht

Het gebouw is echt mooi, al een attractie om te bekijken. Goed en compleet ontbijt.

In de zomer als het warm is kun je niet koelen. Raam kan wel open maar gratis alle insecten die binnen vliegen. Het was oncomfortabel warm binnen.

La literie est très mauvaise et pour le petit déjeuner les aliments sont dans une pièce éloignée avec aucun service à table. Le personnel ne parle même pas français pourtant c’est une langue nationale.

Very unique hotel with a hint of vintage luxury. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was not large but big enough, very clean, and had a nice bathroom. Perfect for a couple, but a bit crowded when the couch had to be turned into a bed for our child. Located in the center. Safe car parking. Price was appropriate.

With 35° degrees outside we'd have loved to find a proper aircon in the room instead of only a little, very noisy fan. Hotel doesn't provide dinner. However, there are a lot of other restaurants, pubs and bars in short walking distance.

Resepsiyonda bizi karşılayan hanımefendi çok iyiydi çok ilgiliydi tane tane her şeyi anlattı güzel bir konaklama geçirmemiz icin çok ilgilendi… kahvaltisi güzeldi çalışanlar ilgili ve kibardı ama en iyisi resepsiyonda bizi karşılayan hanımefendiydi… otelin atmosferi cok guzeldi..

Réception malheureusement pas desservie avant 16h le jour d'arrivée, ce qui n'a pas permis d'avoir les cartes de séjour permettant de faire des activités à proximité à tarif réduit, c'est dommage.
