Le confort, la propreté (pas de nettoyage en 4 jours). Un cafard vu dans la douche le dernier jour. Il est compliquer de trouver quelqun disponible dans l’hôtel. Enfin j’aurai aimer que le petit déjeuner soit varier qu’il change au moins tous les 2 jours.

Dirty unclean Old. The photos in booking are Old and look good but the reality is much worse. Insects because it is not clean. We had a 3 night and that was the worse stay in Srilanka. Value for money..hilarious. this hotel is nearly European standard price of 2star hote ap. 100usdl. It should be 20usd stilankan standard. What you get is dirty Rooms, bed linen with holes, dirty unclean bathrooms, insects beause of the dirtiness. The stuff is helpfull but so what. Thin walls no need to set alarm clock your neighbour will wake you up. If you like loud music from two club in the same time until midnight you got it. Watch the cockroach! Booking rating 8.0 is a joker. Many Europeans a4ived during our stay and all hesitated. The rooms are not being cleaned.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly kind, polite, and helpful. Whatever we asked for, they were always happy to help and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, and we felt very welcome throughout our entire stay. The location is also excellent — very close to the sea, with many good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for two weeks and really felt at home here. Thank you to the whole team for your wonderful hospitality!

Die Lage war toll. Nähe zum Strand und Lokalen. Abends war es aber sehr laut. Wer vor 23 Uhr schlafen will ist hier falsch.

Der Blick auf die Baustelle. Dieses wird auf booking schöner dargestellt. Außerdem wurde unser Zimmer beim Check in gerade schnell noch fertig (?) gestrichen. Fertig sah es noch nicht aus. Das Hotel war gerade am sanieren als wir da waren.

Molti dei servizi pubblicizzati non erano disponibili: per diversi giorni siamo rimasti senza TV e frigorifero, mentre la macchina per tè e caffè è arrivata solo il terzo giorno e senza tè né caffè. La camera non è mai stata pulita durante tutto il soggiorno e shampoo e prodotti da bagno non sono mai stati riforniti. Anche la colazione è stata estremamente scarsa e il cibo, in generale, di qualità deludente. L’aspetto più frustrante è stato il comportamento del proprietario, che ogni giorno prometteva di risolvere i problemi “nel pomeriggio” o “il giorno dopo”, ma le promesse non sono mai state mantenute. Una struttura che ha un buon potenziale, ma che al momento offre un servizio ben lontano da quello che ci si aspetta e da quanto viene pubblicizzato. Purtroppo non possiamo consigliarla.

Las instalaciones están absolutamente obsoletas y solo hay una persona para atender la instalación, oficina, limpieza, cocina, ...

- El personal super amable. Tuve que hacer la reserva de última hora tras haber tenido problemas en otro alojamiento y tanto el chico de la recepción, como el dueño al día siguiente, se preocuparon porque estuviese agusto en todo momento, me ayudaron con la ducha (no supe hacerla funcionar) y con el transporte a mi siguiente destino. - El tamaño de la habitación estaba bien, también el de la ducha. El aire acondicionado funcionaba bien. - Cuenta con piscina limpia, que es de agradecer. - Se puede pagar con tarjeta de crédito. - Cerca de la playa, a unos 10 minutos andando.

- Por poner alguna pega, la limpieza en la habitación se podría haber mejorado un poco, al igual que la de la ropa de cama. - La ubicación no es la correcto, tampoco en el maps de iPhone. Mejor preguntar a la gente local y te guían, porque se encuentra en la calle principal de Trincomalee. - Es verdad que la relación calidad-precio, para los precios de Sri Lanka, me pareció un poco cara. Aunque se llame "Resort", no cuenta con las facilidades que tendría uno en un país como España.

The hotel had a good location easy access to the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Staff were pleasant when we saw them

The hotel felt pretty run down. There wasn’t really anywhere to spend time outside of your room. There was a nice pool but zero chairs, sunlounger or shade which made it pretty unusable. The restaurant didn’t seem open and it just didn’t feel like a resort.

A 5 mn de la plage Uppuveli Petit-déjeuner copieux et les repas du restaurant bons. Piscine Personnel très dévoué , surtout Merika qui nous a organisé 2 belles sorties. Voir la pêche traditionnelle sur la plage et découvrir Poya day à Trincomalee. Elle nous a prêté des saris pour vivre ce beau moment et a donné de son temps pour tout nous montrer et expliquer. Merci à elle !

The property was clean and tidy. The staff was very kind and helpful! Even helped us cleaning our Tuktuk, very friendly staff group. Room was good, hot water and bed was also nice. Pool was very refreshing. Close to many restaurants and easy to find. Beach is just in a walking distance. Would recommend!

We have booked only for one night but extended to four as we needed relax. Our room was of a reasonable standard, clean & tidy. Pressure from the shower is excellent. The electric shower worked well with hot water. The air conditioner worked well. They have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. However the main reason for our extended stay was a nice swimming pool which was brilliant. Most people staying went out for most of the day leaving the pool to us. The water was warm too. Overall a good place to stay lots of restaurants nearby and the beach is just a stones throw away. Definitely we recommend and wish to come back again.

The room is as it looks in the picture and was very clean. Big spacious room with TV & coffee maker. The pool is lovely and just like the picture too. Location is good, not far from the beach and restaurants. You can rent a scooter there at the property as well, of course we hired one. I ordered breakfast and it was just wooow.

A heavy breakfast I would say. In face we take some pan cakes for the lunch as well. No wait at all for the breakfast, everything was fresh and nice. Rooms are well maintained, water pressure in the bathroom is perfect.

Everything was fine and great staff to be highlighted. Try the breakfast :) The beach is just few minutes walk from the hotel, it is safe and nice. There are plenty of restaurants in the out side of the property as well.

It was just a short stay of us and the staffs I must mention that they were outstanding. So friendly. The Air-con is perfect, you don't want to use after 11 in the night because the room quickly get cold. Wifi is excellent.

Пляж просто фантастический. Множество ресторанов в шаговой доступности. Персонал отеля очень приветливый и отзывчивый, завтрак такой обильный, что еды хватало до самого ужина. Мы бы обязательно вернулись.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Die Betreiber und das Personal sind super nett. Das Hotel und Zimmer sind für den Preis zu empfehlen. Wir würden dort wieder buchen. Es liegt nah am Strand und Restaurants.

I had a wonderful stay at this guest house! The place was clean, comfortable, nice and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was peaceful. Will see you again.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. Lovely and helpful staff, quiet place (when low season) and comfortable rooms. Food is also great!!! I definitely recommend it :) The beach just a walking distance.

Breakfast was too good and nice. The property is just about 5 minutes walk away from the Uppuveli beach which is really nice. There are so many restaurants and bars are on the beach too... will come back for sure :)

- no one on reception when you need them - states you get a linen change every other day. Never had one during a 7 day stay - had to leave dirty towels on the floor outside the room for staff to pick up and never got a replacement until I asked - never replaced the bins - online states you have a safe and a fridge and our room didn’t have one - can hear music from restaurants on a night that finish at 11pm - bad drainage so bathroom smells constantly and toilet hardly flushes properly

Nos cobraron el total en el alojamiento y al irnos nos estuvieron llamando y escribiendo por WhatsApp diciendo que se les había olvidado cobrar el desayuno. Por supuesto pagamos al momento, pero el trato no fue el mejor.

Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze tonen interesse en hebben ons geholpen met het huren van fietsen. Ze zijn meedenkend en het restaurant wat erbij zit is net nieuw, hier hebben we heerlijk gegeten!

Wij hadden een verstopt doucheputje en geen warmwater, na aangeven is dit gelukkig snel verholpen. Het zwembad bij de accommodatie is absoluut niet bruikbaar, het heeft stilstaand water met levende organismes erin. Dat vonden we jammer omdat we bewust kozen voor een locatie met een zwembad.

I visited this place with my wife in July 2025. We were travelling to Trinco for 2 days. We were running late so we contacted the property. They asked us the approximate time we would take to reach the place and informed us that they would keep the a/c on an hour before we reach so we would be comfortable on arrival. This one act of service is where I would start off my opinion of this place. Here the service is something other hotels need to ponder upon. The staff are very friendly. They make sure to find out our needs and try to resolve it asap. They helped us find a good deal for snorkeling in Pidgeon island, they prepared a special Sri Lankan style breakfast and lunch on our request, they arranged transport for us in the early hours of the morning (Pickme/Uber was not responding at that time) at the last moment with no extra charge and so on. The friendly service and attention to our care really touched us and made our trip more memorable. In respect to the rooms, there is some aspects that need attention. Shower Plumbing, exhaust were issues, itsy bitsy details missing that would otherwise perfect the stay there. But the room was neat, washroom was clean, moderately sound insulated room. The basic facilities needed in a 3-4 star room were met. The pool was small but ok, but if you are spending your time around Alles Garden and the beach, the pool is irrelevant. I would say that, I really enjoyed my stay there. I really thank the staff there. I hope you continue to provide such wonderful service and hopefully if fate gives us a chance, we would definitely visit the property again. Thank you Havana Club.

Swimming pool area flooded and manager was dismissive. I received no breakfast even though it was in booking so complained and given 2 slices of toast. No safe and locks on wardrobe didn't work. Late afternoon powercut so we couldn't use shower after swimming, hot and wet for over an hour..

This property only deserves a 2 star. It’s expensive for what they offer. The rooms are very tired and not clean. The beds are hard. Pool was ok but no shade , sun lounge are a hazard. It was so noisy from restaurant across the road. Meant to stay two nights, left after one. Only plus is that staff are lovely and it’s close to the beach.

The restaurant wasn’t open when we were there but there are plenty others nearby. We had some laundry done and it was very expensive (900 per kilo) and took 2 days.

Easy walk to the beach. Lovely swimming pool. Good Sri Lankan breakfast. Room is fairly small but has all you need. Good airconditioning. TV with English film channels. Bathroom, - shower with hot water. Kettle teabags etc. Good WiFi. Close to restaurants and bars. Generally very pleasant and good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient.

The room was spacious and clean when we arrived.

We booked the room for 3 nights. Room doesnt get cleaned and water in shower does not drain properly. Also on the booking.com site states that they have a private beach with sun beds and parasols, but they don't even have that at the hotel pool.

Nice place not far from the beach, the room was nice, clean and equipped, but it wasn't one of the nicest and I missed the balcony. The staff was nice and helpful but a bit impersonal

High price for this quality. The overall impression of the accommodation is average, but the place was a short walk from a very nice beach with nice restaurants, so I stayed longer than I originally expected

Location is great near the beach and Fernando’s market. Nice restaurants around. Rooms were clean.

The staff don’t speak English so communication was complicated to book stuff.

The location was pretty good, check in was easy and they texted me with a lot of information beforehand.

Amazing hotel with so nice and kind people. They treat you like a family. Hotel is so close to the beach, aprox 3min by foot. Room is very clean and comfortable. Hotel provide beach towels. Hotel have a nice pool. They serve breakfast every morning. Breakfast is fabulous, every morning they serve freshly juices (papaya, mango, passion fruit, pineapple), scrambled eggs, pancakes (rice or coconuts), some local dishes ( sorry, but I a am forgot the name), fresh fruits, coffee and tea, avocado, marmalade with butter and much more. Food is so delicious. They prepare dinner for us, few time, and dinner was amazing. For dinner they made fish or curry, depends what you want. The menager is excellent, he does a good job. We staying 12 days, and they arranged for us, a free trip to Marble beach, it was amazing experience. Hotel is very clean. If you choose this hotel, you will not regret it. I had the best service in this hotel so far, and I have stayed in many hotels. Last but not least, last day, manager mother made cookies for us, for the trip. ❤️ Like I am said, I never feel kindness like in this hotel. Thank you team for everything, you are amazing. I hope so we will see again!

Very close to the beach and bedrooms and bathrooms were very cleaned. the swimming pool is very pleasant. The upstairs room I stayed in was good. It offered complete privacy, and I appreciated the well-thought-out design and cleanliness. The room facilities were good, with modern amenities like a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, kettle and an efficient air conditioning system, which all contributed to a convenient and enjoyable stay. The hot water and water pressure in the bathroom were great.

No balcony

Havana club resort is located in a very peaceful and clean place. The pool here is very clean and nice to spend time with your loveliers. Security is 100%. The staff has very good service and provides everything you need instantly. They provide a very friendly as well as respectful service to customers. It is within easy reach of any place you want to visit (eg: Nilaveli, Koneshwaram, Navy Museum). I highly recommend this as the best accommodation you can choose from for the cash on hand.
