Lovely old house converted to guest accommodation. Great breakfast and lovely staff and owner. Comfortable bed. Great central lication.

Ambience of a historic building. Welcoming host, excellent garden breakfast, friendly staff and excellent location.

Old world charm Breakfast was simple but very good. Hot food cooked fresh for you, beautiful bread and the setting of eating in the garden was pleasantly different from most hotels. Bathroom had racks and hooks aplenty.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben gute Tipps für die Weingüter bekommen. Die Lage ist sehr gut und man kann gut zu Fuß durch die Stadt gehen. Auch im Dunkeln. Die Unterkunft hat sehr viel Charme und wir empfehlen sie in jedem Fall weiter.

Fomos muito bem recebidos por Jaco e Elsa assim que chegamos. No quarto havia um vinho de boas vindas, o que foi um toque muito legal. Recebemos um upgrade de quarto que adoramos. O quarto era grande e muito confortável! O banho era muito bom e a cama maravilhosa. A limpeza estava impecável. Ainda havia vaga de garagem para o carro que alugamos. O café da manhã era muito bem servido com muitas opções e a simpática de Morné aos nos receber todas as manhãs fez toda a diferença. Nos sentimos em casa e com certeza voltaremos. A guesthouse se encontra bem no centro da cidade, perto de todas as atrações.

The property has a beautiful and unique character and is set up with much care. It's clearly run with great pride. The general manager, owner and all staff made the stay most pleasant and their personal touch enhanced it further.

Great staff! This place has great staff who will help with any questions! We went for the wine train and they gave us Information about accessing the train and also helped with storage our bags! Would definitely stay again!

We had an absolutely lovely stay - it was neat and clean, it had all the touches for everything you could need for your stay, the communication was great, the breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was fantastic. Thank you Jaco and Elsa, and the team. Highly recommend.

So easy to walk into the town

Friendly staff, great location to access the vineyards and close to the restaurants in town, good breakfast, easily our best stay in South Africa. Loads of character in the property and room, a real b&b experience!

Breakfast was fabulous, and the location was perfect in terms of restaurants and the wine tram.

The room we stayed in could have been arranged differently so you didn't hit your head on the incline while getting in and out of bed!

The photo showed a spa bath/ jacuzzi, but it is not connected, even though it was not advertised and we did not book the room because of that, It was a bit of a disappointment(we thought it would be an added bonus). I would suggest the adds state clearly it is not connected, and only function as a normal bath tub, since the photo is misleading

The staff was great and very welcoming, helping when needed and great to chat with. Breakfast was fresh and plenty. The room was very nicely done. Great location to walk to the winetram... and back after all the tasting

The sign saying not to take a bath when there is a very inviting bathtub in the bathroom...

Such a lovely stay at Centre-Ville, a gorgeous period home in a great location, close to the main streets shops and restaurants and wineries we loved the little touches like sherry tray in room and the log burner in the breakfast lounge . Morne and his team really looked after us and helped us with excellent recommendations ( French Connection was a fan choice ) and breakfast was delicious with fruit and yoghurt , fresh bread cheese and hand and cooked breakfast made to order . My only slight niggle , was the lack of available and accessible plug sockets , especially when an adapter needs to be used but it was a minor thing and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again . Highly recommended

Lovely period house with rooms tastefully decorated throughout . Comfortable double bed and en-suite bathroom . In room heater/ AC . Lovely touches like a sherry decanter , tea and coffee tray and bathrobes were lovely . We loved having a log burner made up in the breakfast room / lounge area . Excellent breakfast from Marne and his team . Easy walk to the Main Street and close to many restaurants .

Struggling to find anything … Easily accessible plug sockets only thing that comes to mind , and I would have appreciated an electric blanket for a winter stay but neither were an issue !

We appreciated the finer touches of home baked rusks and sherry in the room and a lovely fire in the lounge. Perfect for a chilly June evening. The breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to our next visit.

The location was ideal, being close to the main road through Franschhoek and all facilities, but in a very quiet situation. The hospitality shown by all the staff was exceptional. They could not do enough to make our short stay Memorable. We would both like to return in the future. I would highly recommend this guest house.

A gorgeous home from home. Our hosts were delightful and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. It was cold and rainy in Franshoek when we stayed but they laid a table in the dining room and lit the fire so we could eat in as it was too cold to venture out. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and would definitely recommend it and stay again! It is a stones throw from shops and restaurants with easy off street parking. The rooms are gorgeous with comfy beds. What’s not to ❤️

There was a massive storm when we stayed in May. A power outage was experienced in large parts of the W.Cape. So our 2 day stay expanded to 4 days. The staff were fantastic - helping us with whatever we needed. Mornay has the biggest welcoming smile and personality to go with it. During the storm, we enjoyed a lovely evening by the fire with other guests. It felt like 'home' 😊 Thank you!

We so enjoyed our stay at the guest house, it was so old worldly and full of history and the room was and beds were very comfortable. Morne made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to be back.

The location in an authentic and charming building in the center of Franschhoek. You feel welcome and at home from the moment you arrive. All staff but Monet in particular, have been so welcoming and caring. Breakfast was great and restaurants are at walking distance.

A true gem with architecture and decor displaying the style of the early 1900's. The manager was very friendly and really made us feel welcome, pointing out the sherry in our room as well as in the lounge and that we could help ourselves. A wonderful king size bed fitted with top quality linen.

Abosolutely nothing.

The location, facilities and staff were exceptional. The room was comfortable and clean, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts made everything feel like home. A definite highlight is the presence of the host's dog Quando that was very happy to receive love and scratches in the mornings.

If you are on the taller side, I would suggest opting for one of the ground floor rooms - the loft rooms are comfortable but the slanted ceilings do come down quite low.

The guesthouse is perfectly located right in the city center. It felt completely safe to walk to the main street—even at night—where all the restaurants, galleries, and lively atmosphere are located, and we did so without any issues. Mornet manages the property beautifully, providing a very warm welcome and paying close attention to every detail throughout our stay, which made it incredibly pleasant. To top it off, the breakfast was both delicious and healthy!

Extremely comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast with choice of fruit, cheeses or beautifully cooked dishes, and the warmest welcome. Nothing was too much trouble! Situated on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from restaurants and excellent supermarkets, Centre Ville is a charming traditional house with a verandah. Plus secure parking.

The staff at breakfast are very friendly. The location is perfect.

The whole guesthouse is quite ageing, everything looks rundown, delapidated and partly disgusting. The room didn’t look as nice as on the pictures at all. The walls are so thin that we listened to the snoring of the guy next to us until we fall asleep deep enough to ignore. The water from the sink and shower is brown (and that wasn’t even the case in the public bathrooms there), the shower had mold at the whole ceiling. In the middle of the night the dew from the extremely bad insulated windows, which was built exactly above the bed, was dripping on our faces and the crank to open the windows was simply a wire with which it was a struggle to open any window. Even for that price we regarded it as a pain to stay there.

Das CentreVille Guest House liegt sehr zentral in Franschhoek, die Gastgeber sind superlieb und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird teils als Buffet, teils auf Bestellung serviert. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit der sehr schönen Dachterrasse, die wir leider aufgrund des Wetters nicht nutzen konnten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist Wine Tram und es gibt sehr viele nette Lokale für das Abendessen in Franschhoek. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort, ein längerer Aufenthalt ist aber durchaus vorstellbar.

Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen. Ggf. sind die Zimmer aufgrund der relativ niedrigen Deckenhöhe nicht für große Menschen geeignet. Wir sind beide 176 cm groß und haben uns nur jeweils einmal den Kopf gestoßen.

Fabulous couple who manage this guest house were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location, first class for the village centre in Franschhoek. Our rooms were huge and the best thing of all ..... the most comfortable bed I have slept in in years! My brother, who had his own room, said the same. There were mattress toppers and somehow they are very superior to anything I've ever had before.

Os amenities são de qualidade e ainda fomos recebidos com uma garrafa de vinho de boas-vindas, o que fez toda a diferença. Precisamos fazer um check-in tardio e fomos prontamente atendidos, com muita gentileza e atenção. O café da manhã é delicioso, muito bem preparado e com ótimas opções. Além disso, os funcionários e o proprietário são extremamente educados, atenciosos e gentis, nos fazendo sentir verdadeiramente em casa. A localização também é excelente, permitindo fácil acesso aos principais pontos da região. Adoramos absolutamente tudo e com certeza voltaríamos!

Great location close to many restaurants and bars. Large bedroom with a comfortable mattress, good breakfast choices well served by friendly staff.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we'd booked for longer but know where to return to in the future. The owners and staff go out of their way for their guests.

Beautiful guest house, very comfortable beds and lovely rooms. Very central, minute walks to plenty of restaurants and shops and close to Franschhoek Wine Tram. The hosts and manager Morné were super accommodating and friendly when we asked for an early check in, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Characterful room (creaky floorboards), clean, comfortable and supplied with tea, coffee. Off-site but nearby dedicated parking with security guard. Nice breakfast. Pleasant secluded garden and pool. Central as suggested by the name. Close to main attractions and restaurants.

As the name suggests, this beautiful guest house is ideally located for all amenities. The attention to detail in the rooms and in the public areas is second to none. The staff are magnificent - friendly and helpful. We can’t recommend Centre-Ville highly enough. We’ll be back.

Our family of 10 gathered to celebrate a wedding in Franschoek and we stayed at Centre-Ville Guest House. Everyone one of us was blown away by the immense warmth and kindness from the moment we arrived! We started our day with a sumptuous breakfast and enjoyed sipping complimentary wine and Sherry in the comfortable chairs around the pool or in the cosy lounge! Location is 10/10! Thank you to the wonderful Naude family and amazing staff - Mornay and Louise for some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced!

Very quaint and lovely place to stay close to all shops/restaurants. Breakfast amazing and the staff so so welcoming and friendly.

An Absolute gem of a guest house. they even put chilled water and sherry in your room for a night cap, bath robes, a chocie of amazing breakfast, highly accomodating and a beautiful outdoor area. unfortunately i cant remember the name of the guy who took our bags and looked after them before we could check in, but he was very accomodating, friendly and helpful...they all were. we will be back for a longer stay.
