Sensationell ist das Frühstück und der Frühstücksraum. Man traut sich fast nicht etwas zu verändern. Die Gastgeberin ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren am Abend in der Nähe essen und fühlten uns absolut wohl und sicher

The owner/hostess is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is simply amazing — full of classic French vibes and charm. The garden is beautiful and the pool is perfect for unwinding, with chickens casually walking around which adds such a unique and relaxed touch. The location is also ideal: it’s within easy walking distance of the town center, with plenty of top restaurants and wineries nearby, and it felt very safe to walk around. Overall, a perfect stay — highly recommended!

Das Frühstück hat uns qualitativ leider nicht überzeugt. Zur Zeit unseres Aufenthalts gab es teilweise keinen Strom aufgrund der Brände, was eigentlich kein Problem ist, allerdings mussten wir mit offenen Fester schlafen (da keine AC) und es sonst im Zimmer unerträglich warm geworden wäre und wir hatten (obwohl kein Licht an war) ein unerträgliches Problem mit Moskitos - sodass es eine recht teure Nacht mit sehr wenig Schlaf war

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the spacious shower was a great touch. The location is perfect, with easy access to the wine tram just a short walk away. Reviewed Dec 17, 2025Wir wurden äußerst freundlich empfangen und von Esje herumgeführt. Das Guesthouse ist eine Oase mit schönem Garten und Pool in Franschhoek. Der Ort ist von hier aus sehr gut und sicher zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben 3 Tage hier übernachtet und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

There are only a few parking spots but the street was very safe and easy to park on so it wasn't really an issue.

The room was clean, comfortable and full of all the little touches that made our stay that more special. Great shower, comfortable bed and gorgeous amenities. The breakfast was spot on- fresh fruit, yoghurts and a great selection of hot items. Served with a smile and made to feel very welcome. A wonderful start to the day. Location was great for the main high street and restaurants/ wine tram. We didn’t make use of the pool but definitely next time!

Reviewed Mar 10, 2025Stunning guest house in the centre of Franschhoek. The room we stayed in was beautifully designed, every detail is curated and the bed huge and very comfortable. The staff is super kind and the breakfast is amazing! I am celiac, on a strict gluten free diet, and the staff was able to accommodate my dietary requirements without compromising on the quality of the breakfast which was hugely appreciated. The location is perfect, we walked everywhere, and the pool area is very relaxing. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Franschhoek.
Not the hosts' fault at all, but we got eaten by mosquitoes at night. I would recommend to provide a plug-in mosquito repellent for each room. This is only a minor detail though as we had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again!
