modern spacious room and terrace exactly like the adverts - Guiseppe and the breakfast staff very friendly, helpful, nice touch to remember room number, - no screaming kids ! - a very peaceful classy hotel
Very pleasant
The hotel was very expensive, which I knew but I think they could have provided better tea and coffee facilities.
Literally everything!! Great location, awesome views, great staff! Room was super nice and big with amazing air conditioning
Loved everything!
Ansolirely stunning
Beautiful hotel, the staff were amazing. Definitely recommend if visiting Sorrento

Just back from the most amazing week in Sorrento for my sister’s 40th birthday and so glad we chose this hotel which was recommended to us by a travel agent friend of my sister. Everything about it was first class. The room, location, views, cleanliness, food, but most of all the staff in every area. They were just wonderful and so warm and friendly. I’d arranged prior to arriving for our room to be done up as a surprise on my sister’s actual birthday and again, cannot thank you all enough for the effort put in. We wish we’d had more chance to say proper goodbyes but were rushing to catch our transfer. We will miss you all and once again, thankyou so much for a wonderful stay.
As I have said before the food is very good, the view from the bar spectacular, but what makes it special is the staff, S special shout out to Giuseppe such a gentleman.
Everything was perfect. The hotel sits against a hill overlooking the ocean, and the views from the rooms are out of this world. We could hardly believe we were looking at something so beautiful from the balcony of our room. The facilities themselves are great: the lobby is immense, the restaurants are great, the pool (although a little tricky to find) has an incredible view as well, and the rest of the hotel is just a majestic piece of architecture. The staff was amazing from day one. We arrived in an Uber from the train station and they were waiting outside to help with our luggage, and the room they gave us was much bigger than we expected. The quality of the breakfast buffet every morning was exactly like the rest of Italy: fresh, healthy, and tasty. The chef and staff are amazing (we especially liked the omelettes they make on the spot, they're to die for). The restaurant staff is incredibly cordial, respectful, and helpful. We especially liked talking to Giuseppe, who has an extremely affable personality and easygoing vibe. We just wanted to keep talking to him and cracking jokes. We had dinner one evening at one of the restaurants, and it was probably the most romantic dinner we've ever had, also made possible by the amazing kitchen staff. Overall, our stay was perfect, and we even regretted a little not having booked a few more nights. We made a promise to come back again soon.
The only thing I would say could be somewhat improved is access to the town. The only way to get down was via the local bus or a €30 taxi, which even with our budget we thought was a bit exaggerated for a four-minute ride. It would be amazing if the hotel offered a shuttle to town every other hour. Another thing we noticed was that we were almost the only LGBT couple in the hotel. While this is of course not the hotel's fault, it would have been nice to see a bit more diversity. It is important to note, though, that while we didn't see any other LGBT couples, the staff seemed more than thrilled to have us and always treated us with respect, love, and care.
When we arrived at Hotel Bristol, we could see it was a stunningly beautiful hotel, very close to the town centre. The holiday was value for money. Our room was spacious/ very clean with a view of Mount Vesuvius. The pool area is lovely with also a lounge area. The bar is beautiful along with the dining area. What made the hotel though, was the staff. They treated you like family. We were married during our time here and we had the chance to share this with the staff. Thank you to them who made our time in Sorrento amazing.
Muy confortable y agradable! Con una vista privilegiada!
This was our first time visiting this hotel and we will definitely be back. The views from all of the restaurants and the bar are wonderful, our room was lovely, extrmely clean and we particularly enjoyed soaking in the views from our balcony. The food at the hotel is beautiful but what truly makes this hotel special is the staff, and how well they look after the guests. A special mention to Guiseppe, who absolutely made our holiday, taking care of us every meal time. We can’t wait to return already.
We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Hotel Bristol in Sorrento, and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The location is absolutely fantastic, with breathtaking views across the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. We could never get tired of looking at those views. We were also very fortunate to be upgraded to a lovely room, which was a wonderful surprise and made our stay even more special. Our room was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard, as was the rest of the hotel. The food was excellent, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. Every member of staff we met was polite, friendly and professional, and everyone genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. A special thank you to Giancarlo, the manager, who was lovely, welcoming and extremely helpful throughout our stay. He really made us feel valued and was always happy to help. I would also like to thank Francesca and all the reception staff, who were always so welcoming and helpful. A special mention also goes to Giuseppe, our waiter, who was fantastic and always provided excellent service. There were so many other members of staff who were wonderful that I’m sorry I cannot remember everyone’s names, but every single person deserves recognition. I was also celebrating my birthday during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond. I was very touched to be surprised with a bottle of Prosecco and a birthday cake. It was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture and made my birthday even more special. This was our first stay at the Hotel Bristol, but we spoke to many guests who had returned several times, which really says a lot about the hotel and the service they provide. Thank you to Giancarlo and the entire team at the Hotel Bristol for making our week in Sorrento so memorable. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento. We will definitely remember our stay very fondly. Grazie mille to all the wonderful staff at Hotel Bristol! ❤️🇮🇹
L'emplacement, le personnel est extraordinairement gentil, la qualité de service, et le coté retro de l'hotel. L'esprit familial est un point fort.
Queen size double with a massive balcony with sofa , table and chairs , sunbeds Sea view Room was very good Bathroom and shower very good Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Superb staff Excellent location
Nothing
We came back yesterday from Hotel Bristol having had a really great 10 day holiday. The hotel is beautiful - rooms immaculately clean, bright and sunny, good air-conditioning. Our balcony with sea view was lovely with 2 very relaxing rocking loungers (we were on the 5th floor). The views from this hotel are amazing and tbh I could have sat and stared at the view the whole time, it was lovely having drinks at the bar in the evening or meals in any of the restaurants all with the same spectacular view. Breakfast was really good with a huge choice…egg station, cold cheese and hams, quiche, croissants, cake, yoghurts, fruit etc. Lunches were always good too….my tip is to change half-board dinners for lunch every day as we found the evening meal let down the hotel and hence my 4*s - strange menus, and food just not up to the standard you would expect. We much preferred having dinner in Sorrento centre where we could have a really good meal with 3 adults drinking for €120. I definitely recommend Trattoria Emilia in Marina Grande (don’t over order as portion sizes are huge but you can buy 1litre of house wine for 12€!), pizza at Il Cantina (€88 for really good pizzas and beers) and Chantecler’s Trattoria (family run and great food off the Main Street). The gardens in this hotel are worth discovering, there are lots of little areas to sit and we enjoyed 3 days soaking up the sun on the loungers in the pretty garden area as we had it to ourselves, we would walk along to the pool and have a swim and then return to the garden. The pool and relax pool are great however despite the hotel saying not to reserve sunbeds people were doing this and not returning for up to 4 hours. Also we had a few families turn up a few days before we left with a lot of children and proceeded to play ball in the pool despite it being prohibited, they were eventually told by the hotel (maybe they need better signage). The staff always get mentioned in other reviews and they were all very efficient and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. The bar staff were especially lovely. All drinks got added to the room bill so our older teenagers could treat the hotel like an all inclusive which was important for us as 5* inclusive is our usual choice of holiday and they could come and go as they pleased. My oldest son would walk down to the English bar by himself and watch football with a beer….Sorrento centre appears to be a very safe area and we had no concerns about this at all. This hotel was definitely overall the right choice for us, a short walk into the centre and with breathtaking views.
This was a very good hotel. Friendly staff. Good location close to town good view and not right in the busy centre. Rooms were ok very nice colour. Food was nice at breakfast try the orange and Lemon cake 🍋🍊🍰. Lunch and dinner was good too but small menu. Pool area was good pool was deep. Pretty gardens but the kids area outside could do with being maintained. Bar area good too. Nice quiet hotel up the cliff. Overall excellent. 👌
Fabulous. Wonderful Staff. Old world elegance - but not overly formal - breakfast and dinner service . We have to salute such a dedicated team - Luce, Vincenzo ( who is unfortunately retiring next year and we will miss him on our return ) , Carmine ( wine man !) Guiseppe, Raphaele , (Tall) Jean Luca ( with great teeth!) - all pf whom who made our experiences so special - as well as the many more staff who just paid great attention to detail. We booked half board - 5 choices for starters, main course and desert- food was just amazing . Great selection of wines - and a dedicated wine waiter. Option for lunch ( more causal ) but still wonderful table service - and outdoors overlooking the water Lovely nighttime bar - outdoor seating over the bay ( indoor too ) and live music at least every other night - we were treated to wonderful opera one evening, and piano on 2 other evenings. The ambience - and view - and service - was spectacular . Compliments to Andreas and Alex . Our room was just beautiful too - we booked a water view with terrace - and great housekeeping service
Beautiful hotel, staff are amazing! Views are perfect!
Very concerning experience. I left my personal medication and shampoo in the room. After contacting the hotel, I was told that nothing had been found. A serious hotel should inform a guest when personal belongings, especially medication, are found after check-out. If an unpaid minibar item can be identified and charged to your card, surely forgotten belongings can also be identified and reported. Unfortunately, this experience seriously affected my trust in the hotel.
The hotel offers perfect sea views and is a short stroll (about 10/15 min) from the centre of Sorrento. The view from our suite was stunning. The staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. The breakfast consists of a good selection of items, including optional eggs cooked to order. There is a great rooftop bar with a quiet relaxing vibe which is a lovely way to end the night! Pool area is also really good and has its own a bar and food menu too.
Nothing it is perfect.
Our stay at Hotel Bristol was lovely in every regard. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is excellent, the pool is very quiet and no rush for beds and best of all, the staff are wonderful, friendly and professional. That’s true of the restaurant team, the bars and reception. The hotel has a number of steps to reach the pool at the top but there is an additional lift that gets you almost to the top. Worth asking where it is. The views are incredible, right across the bay of Naples. There’s a good choice of restaurants down in the Fisherman’s village from pizza to fine dining. Sorrento itself is a large city so we didn’t spend too much time there. We did discover a lovely restaurant tucked off the street in what looks like a lemon grove. We visited Pompei, took a boat trip to Amalfi and Positano, and went to a pizza school. An evening trip to Capri was also recommended and worth while as the island was much quieter than during the day. All highly recommended!
I cannot recommend this place enough! The service was extraordinary, they could not do enough for you and were so friendly! Luca, Guiseppe and Gianluca were amazing and made our stay so special. As did all the staff. The hotel is perfectly located looking over the beautiful bay and Sorrento, with amazing views of Mount Vesuvius. It’s only a 5-10 min flat walk into town, making it super accessible and easy to go back and forth! The food was incredible with a different menu every night, and the rooms were so spacious and clean. There was also a lovely atmosphere with no rowdy behaviour or noise. We would go back to this hotel again and again!
The place was beautiful. Was given an upgrade which was great.
We have just got back from our 7nights stay at Hotel Bristol and have already looked to book again. We had such a fantastic time, the staff at the hotel make this place so special. We felt that everyone went above & beyond to make our holiday extra special. Giuseppe was so friendly & attentive, he always helped me with recommendations during the dinner service as I could never choose! The staff working at the bar area were always so lovely to chat to & friendly too. The breakfast buffet is brilliant, lots of choices to set you up for the day. The views are spectacular from the rooms, the restaurant & the bar. Only a 10min walk into Sorrento town and approx 15mins to get to the local beach club ‘bagni sant’anna’ at Marina Grande (although it’s down a lot of steps- fine for us but just to bare in mind). We also got the train to Pompeii for a day trip (after asking for advice from the reception staff) & easy enough to get to the port to get the ferry across to Capri & various boat trips. Location was brilliant for us! Thank you to everyone at Hotel Bristol for such a wonderful stay-we will be back!
It reminded me of the movie the grand Budapest hotel. It is grand in its own way and we loved it
Breakfast can be improved a little with more cheese selection.
We have just returned from a week at the Hotel Bristol and it was fantastic. We travelled as a party of four myself and my husband and my son and his fiancée. The rooms were clean and spacious with stunning views overlooking the bay. We went half board and the food was very good catering well for vegetarians as well. The drinks weren’t particularly expensive either. The staff were extremely welcoming - Luca and Guiseppe in the dining room made us feel very special at every meal. Andrea the bar man in the evening was great fun and always had a joke to share whilst maintaining his professionalism. The reception staff helped with booking tours which were also really good. Sunbeds were never an issue and the pool was always lovely and warm. Perfectly located for a stroll into Sorrento I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Good location and panoramic view of Sorrento
Nil
The views from up high overlooking Sorrento were great. Not a lot of entertainment, just a piano in the lounge/bar area. Food was absolutely fine. We spent most our evenings walking into the town, lots of high end shops, nice bars/restaurtants around by the port area.
Best hotel experience ever. The hotel is truly stunning, the views breathtaking. It’s very clean and rooms are very soacious. The views are unbeatable. The food was amazing, best food we’ve ever had in a hotel, fresh and lots of local recipes. Swimming pool is lovely. Special mention to the restaurant staff, pool bar staff and bar upstairs, they were fabulous. Giuseppe, Luca and Gianluca made us feel so welcome and were very professional. Would definitely go back!
We just returned from a week long stay at the Hotel Bristol in Sorrento and cannot say enough about our wonderful experience! The staff at the Bristol truly treats you like family and is always there with a smile and kind word, especially Luca, Giuseppe and Gianluca! They met us on our first day and remembered us each day after, especially our 7 year old son! The hotel has views that are unsurpassed, right from our personal balcony as well as the on-site restaurant and amazing pool! The location was amazing as well, with a 10 minute walk down to Corso Italia with many restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and care we received from everyone at the Hotel Bristol, would definitely return!
We returned from the Hotel Bristol on the 24/07/2026. This was our second visit there as we had such a lovely time the previous year. This year we stayed in Villa Bianca suites-number 326 and as per the description on the hotel website, this is reached by several steps, once you turn left prior to the swimming pool. The steps are surrounded by gardens and lemon groves with plenty of seating areas. I must say that the suite was excellent and the views were amazing across the Gulf of Naples. The decking area is equipped with a large table and chairs, sun loungers, rattan furniture, a hammock and a hydro massage jacuzzi. The accommodation is clean and fresh with a large four poster bed and separate lounge area equipped with a fridge with mini bar. Reception do arrange for luggage to be delivered to the suite on arrival, and I must give a special mention to Grazia at Reception. She remembered us from last year and is extremely helpful and professional. We booked half board, so breakfast and evening meal, although you can swap your evening meal for lunch if you would like to head into the centre of Sorrento, which is literally no more than a ten-minute walk. The service from the restaurant staff was fantastic, they even have a vegan and vegetarian menu. We loved the food there and I must give praise to Luca, Gianluca, Giuseppe and Carmine to mention just a few. They also remembered us from last year. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and they go above and beyond your expectations. Breakfast is served buffet style with a great selection of hot and cold food. The chef makes fresh omelettes etc to order. It is the little things here that make this hotel stand out, such as a sincere smile, remembering you, what you like to drink and eat etc. It was also a privilege to meet the owner Giancarlo Acampora. I cannot praise the hotel and staff enough and would encourage people to visit. We are already planning our visit for next year.
Beautiful place with one of the most beautiful pools I ever been in in the12th floor, really kind and caring staff that helped us with anything from what to do to where to eat and did it with a great smile, 10/10 experience
Our second stay at Hotel Bristol was every bit as wonderful as we remembered – if not even better! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the friendly and professional reception team. We were absolutely delighted that the hotel had remembered us and allocated us the very same room on the 6th floor that we had last year. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our return feel even more special. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the views were simply mesmerising. Waking up each morning to breathtaking panoramas and spending time admiring the stunning scenery was a real highlight of our week. The restaurant is another standout feature, with spectacular views overlooking Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius. Breakfast offered an excellent selection to suit every taste, and the egg station was a fantastic addition – the freshly made omelettes were absolutely delicious. Each evening, dinner was exceptional, with an impressive variety of beautifully prepared dishes that made every meal something to look forward to. The restaurant staff deserve special mention for their warm hospitality. They were always welcoming, friendly and attentive, ensuring every dining experience was enjoyable. As the sun set each evening, there was no better place to relax than the bar, soaking up the incredible sunsets while enjoying a refreshing Limoncello Spritz – the perfect way to end each day. Hotel Bristol truly is an outstanding hotel in every way. From its stunning location and immaculate rooms to its exceptional food and outstanding staff, it exceeded our expectations once again. We cannot wait to return for our third visit!
The hitel itself is lovely, fantastic location and easy to get to lots of places like Capri, Almafi, Pompi etc. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast and dinner was really nice. However, the noise from the road right outside the hotel was horrendous. Something Tui forgot to mention. Tui have rooms in the first 2 floors only - the noisy ones. The original Tui lady we spoke to was not interested when we brought it up. Tui on line said it was a hotel problem, not theirs. The hotel said it was a Tui issue. We spent three nights with no sleep. The hotel moved us to floor 2, it was worse! Moved us to floor 7, much quieter but a substantially lower grade room. Chipped sunk and bath tiles, shower panel was hanging off, telephone didn't work, TV didn't work. Not the standard you expect for a £2000 one week stay. Spoke to another Tui rep, Laura. She spoke to the gitel and we were given a room on floor 8. Fabulous. But when we went to move the owner had arranged another upgrade. The room and terrace were perfect and quiet. We finally had 2 nights sleep and felt we could enjoy our last few days there. It was a shame this was not sorted out immediately by Tui and the hotel. We were so disappointed in both and unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who was to sleep whilst on holiday. It absolutely spoilt it for us. We both work for the emergency services and have one week a year away together. We will never go back and probably never go with Tui again.
Hotel staff were fantastic before we even arrived helping with an additional room for the kids at the last minute. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and surprised by a lovely upgrade to a suite for us. Staff were so helpful throughout the stay from reception to the pool and to the bar.
What a lovely hotel! We had the best of times and it is largely due to the wonderful location of the Bristol Hotel and its fantastic team of staff. The views from the hotel are spectacular - in my opinion, the best in Sorrento. The room decor was not really to my taste as the tiles were somewhat ‘busy’ and the furniture somewhat dated in style, but the room was kept immaculately clean by the wonderful house keeper and we never once returned to our room to find that it hadn’t been serviced. Amazing job! Air conditioning was great and views from the balcony so special - picture perfect. All in all, any quibbles about room decor are quickly forgotten because everything else is so good! The pool area was kept clean and tidy and the sun loungers were comfortable with mattresses for added softness. It was a little tricky to find a free lounger at busy times but there were plenty of places to sit if you were happy not to be reclining. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had a half board package with bed, breakfast and evening meal but you could swap dinner for lunch as long as you notified the maitre d’ at breakfast. Our vegetarian daughter in law was well catered for and we were all made to feel welcome by the brilliant staff in the restaurant. Special thanks to Guiseppe who looked after our needs and made us feel like a part of the Bristol Hotel family. The restaurants have large picture windows with views over the bay - probably the best I’ve experienced in my lifetime and I’m well travelled and in my 60s. The hotel is a short walk into the town and what a town! So much to see, and experience - we especially enjoyed the music in the streets during the evening. Be mindful to allow plenty of money for spending in your holiday budget as Sorrento isn’t a budget destination, but it most definitely is one of the most beautiful places that you can visit in Europe.
What an amazing week we have had at Hotel Bristol. The hotel itself is beautiful and immaculate. Rooms are very spacious and the maids clean, change bedding & towels every day. My only minor nitpick is the hairdryer, the lead is very short and made it difficult to dry long hair. The restaurant staff work tirelessly ensuring guests are offered alternative options if the 3 course set menu does not suit (they also offer a vegan menu). Luca and his team needed a medal, especially dealing with such an awkward picky eater as me. My autistic brain found it difficult to process the 3 course set menu upon our arrival, I assumed it would be buffet style. The staff recognised this immediately and couldn’t have been more accommodating. I had my own cooked meal option each evening. They really did make a fuss and ensured I was accommodated at meal times. Pool area was lovely, nice big pool, no saving sunbeds which is a real bonus. We did only spend 2 days around the pool as we were visiting other places during our stay, such as Amalfi, Positanos, Capri, which I highly recommend, especially Capri. We went for beds at 8am those mornings and plenty available. There are also beds on the lower level floor and in the gardens close by. Pool bar offer many options and always helpful and friendly. Reception staff and porters are very helpful and make you feel welcome the second you step inside the hotel. They took our cases to our rooms for us and dealt with them the morning we left too. The bar in the hotel opens at 5pm each evening, this is a warm and welcoming environment, beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout and the option to sit on the balcony area with the most picturesque views. Again bar staff are very happy and friendly and make your stay most personable, welcoming and comfortable. I used the gym each day, opens at 8am, however, I managed to access it from 7.30am. It is only small & only has one treadmill and one stepper, it would be amazing to see the gym extended with more machines as there there is plenty space to do so and it is becoming more common for guests wanting to continue with their gym routine whilst on holiday. Air-con could be significantly improved in the gym too. If we were to return to Sorrento, we would return to Hotel Bristol, other than the couple of minor niggles/suggestions above about the gym, I cannot fault the hotel and all staff. Overall, the Bristol Hotel is perfect location to get about but also fantastic if you wanted a chilled relaxing holiday in the hotel itself. This is the ideal place for either option. Thank you for an amazing stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our week with you all and have made some fantastic memories
Everything… it was the perfect location to access everything
The lack of chairs available around the pool area due to people leaving towels on them and then disappearing for a few hours - we witnessed this a few times. Need better management and control by staff
Beautiful hotel w/ incredible caring staff! Breakfast served on the 7th floor with amazing Gulf of Naples views and the 9th floor rooftop pool/restaurant/bar were highlights! Loved our seaview room w/ balcony. Such an elegant, almost old world, hotel that made you feel special at all times! Incredibly easy to walk to town and all restaurants/sights, and market just few minute walk from hotel, quite convenient!
We did have an ant problem in our room that was a bit annoying. Also, we found the pastry selection at breakfast average at best, especially compared to pastry shops in town. But they had so many other breakfast offerings, it wasn't a huge problem.
We’ve just returned from another wonderful 10-night stay at Hotel Bristol, and once again it exceeded every expectation. We’ve been returning for 10 years and every year we wonder how it could possibly get any better- but it always does. The hotel itself is beautiful, with breathtaking views, spotless rooms and fantastic facilities. But what truly makes Hotel Bristol so special is the staff! They are the loveliest group of people- always smiling, genuinely kind and they make such an effort to get to know every guest. They create a personal experience that you simply don’t find elsewhere. A special thank you to Luca and Giuseppe in the breakfast room, who looked after us every morning and happily accommodated our special breakfast requests. Their service was flawless. Thank you also to Gianluca, my cappuccino artist! :) , who made my coffee with a different design every time. It became the highlight of my breakfast! On our final day, he made me a cappuccino with a sad face because we were leaving—a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that perfectly sums up the care and attention the staff give to their guests. Finally, thank you to Emiliana at the pool bar, who was always so warm, kind, and obliging. The reason we keep returning isn’t just because the hotel is stunning- it’s because of the incredible people who work there. They make you feel genuinely cared for and turn a holiday into something truly special. We can’t wait to return for year 11. Grazie mille to everyone at Hotel Bristol! 👏🇮🇹🍕
We have just spent a lovely 10 days at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect, the views are to die for and the food is amazing. As others have said we cancelled eating out a few times as we thought the food at the hotel (which we had paid for) was too good to miss. The staff are all so nice and they are what makes this hotel stand out. I would come back and would recommend for its old Italian charm and character. Some tips Pool opens at 8am - the beds go quickly ! - some of the beds don’t get the sun all day We had a room on the 8th floor - views were amazing and couldn’t hear the road We settled our bill every couple of days as the drinks do add up !
We have just spent a lovely 10 days at this hotel with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it.the location is perfect, the view is to die for and the food is amazing ! As others have said we actually cancelled plans to eat out as the food we felt was too good to miss. The Italian charm and character of this hotel even though not as modern as others is what makes it so nice. The staff are what would make people return. I would return and would recommend to others. Some tips Pool opens at 8 - beds go quickly! We were in a room on the 8th floor with a balcony -view was amazing and I miss it already (couldn’t hear the road) We settled our bill every couple of days and are glad we did / the cost of drinks soon adds up
A memory i will never forget. From check in at this hotel we were given 5 star experience. We arrived late and i was so hungry, not thinking the hotel would offer food this late at night, but instead straight from a quick check in they directed us to the 7th floor restaurant where they had prepared the late arrival guest a beautiful buffet! we then went to our room which was a balcony sea view, so worth the extra money. The room was very traditional italian with coloured tiled floor, which at first i didn't think i could get used to but within a day i loved the decor. The hotel breakfast was perfect, as my partner likes to sleep in i used the gym then headed to breakfast solo which i prefer anyway! Luca , and giuseppe were amazing, every morning luca made me my coffee with a smiley face on, and Giuseppe was so welcoming always taking me to my table and pulling my seat out for me. This was just such personable service and made the start of the day perfect. Wow what can i say about sorrento, just a truly amazing place, but i will be here all day talking about it! The hotel could not be in a more perfect location with only a 10 minute walk to the main town, it has a lovely pool area, gorgeous bar area with a view point across sorrento, i loved sitting here before we went into town, with a margherita! We had half board which we used twice, only as we like to head out to try places, but the food was absolutely perfect, a menu each night and 5star table service. I really did not want to leave this place and i would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much for a lasting memory for me and my partner x
I can see why this hotel gets such good reviews. Location very good, just above the smaller of Sorrento’s 2 marinas which is about a 15 minute walk. The views across the bay to Vesuvius are spectacular so spend extra on a sea view room with balcony. Our room was a good size and cleaned daily. All staff are really friendly and helpful. Half board food was mostly very good and when you want to eat out it’s a 10 minute walk to the start of the main area where there are loads of great places to eat. In hotel drinks prices are very fair eg you can get a decent bottle of wine with your meal for €25-30. Pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds although for our second week (we went July 3-17) the hotel was busier so there was a bit of a morning race to grab them. We spoke to a lot of people who had stayed there multiple times because they like it so much. It’s very good value for what you get and all in all thoroughly recommended.
Just wow!!! The hotel is in a stunning location with the most amazing views of mountains Vesuvius and Sorrento. The hotel itself is gorgeous and is made better by the wonderful food. But the standout for us was the staff - nothing was ever too much trouble and they make you feel like you’re the only people in the World that matter!!! We loved everyone from the pool staff, the bar men (Alex and Andrea were amazing), to the restaurant staff (with special shoutouts to Luca and Giuseppie). I cried when I left!!!
Beautiful property on an elevation with excellent views of the bay of Naples . The property was very clean and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped including hairdryer , minibar , toiletries and slippers. We had a beautiful large balcony and enjoyed sitting out of the evening .Lovely breakfast room with a choice of continental and cooked options including an omelette station. The hotel itself is what I would describe a classically Italian with old ornate decor. The pool was in a great position on the roof next to a snack bar, towels were provided . Staff were very courteous and helpful especially reception staff who made excellent restaurant recommendations and supported with transport requests.
As a younger person the property was ideal however older clientele may struggle to walk down into Sorrento town and to climb back up the hill. On arriving I was a little concerned about the elevation but as an able bodied individual this was not an issue at all
The view can’t be beat and is worth the very short walk to the city center. The service was fantastic!
It’s hard to find anything wrong. I found the pillows a little flat for my liking but my wife liked them just fine.
This was our third stay at the Bristol Hotel, and once again it exceeded every expectation. It is, without question, my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive, every member of staff makes you feel genuinely welcome. The warmth and kindness shown by everyone gives the hotel such a special atmosphere—it truly feels like the hotel is giving you the biggest hug when you walk through the doors. I was actually in tears when it was time to leave, and that is entirely because of the incredible level of care and service we received throughout our stay. Our room was the best we have ever had, and I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone at reception for making that happen. It meant the world to me and my family, and we are so grateful. We travelled with our two children, and they loved every minute of the holiday. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean—I have never seen a hotel maintained to such an impeccable standard. Every area sparkled. The pool area was peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully kept, while the pool bar was fantastic with very reasonable prices. The hotel is also just a short stroll from the local shops and restaurants, making it the perfect location. Breakfast was always a highlight of our day. Being greeted each morning by Luca and his wonderful team made every breakfast feel special. They were always smiling, friendly, and attentive. It was also lovely to see so many familiar faces still working at the hotel after all these years. That says so much about the Bristol Hotel and the wonderful environment it has created. It has an old-world charm and genuine hospitality that is becoming increasingly rare to find. The views from the hotel over the Bay of Naples and Marina Grande are simply breathtaking and something we will never tire of. Although the hotel may be a little more expensive than some others, it is worth every single penny. Treat yourself—you won't regret it. The experience, the service, the atmosphere, and the memories you take home are priceless. The Bristol Hotel will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I know we will continue to return for many years to come. Thank you to every single member of the team for another unforgettable holiday. We already miss you all so much and cannot wait to return. Until next time!
Absolutely brilliant. If you want to know how to deliver first class hospitality then this is place to visit. Cleanliness, facilities, food, location, rooms are all superb but the best of all is the staff. They are so helpful and really make your stay so enjoyable. A special thank you to Luca and the team in the restaurant. You gave us many happy memories and we had so much fun with you guys. We can’t wait to come back. Jayne & Andy Burton
Завтрак скромный. Самый лучший вид на Сорренто.
Разнообразие на завтрак
The Hotel Bristol is what you want a good hotel to be. Service is key . Staff are courteous and helpful from Grace at reception to Luca, Giuseppe, Nadia, Gian Luca and others in the restaurants and of course Andreas and Alex in the Bar. The view of the Bay of Naples from the hotel is exceptional. We stayed in room 711 which was cool and comfortable and had a great balcony. Breakfasts were varied and plentiful and the half board dinners were excellent. The hotel organised Anna to pick us up from Naples airport (euro 130) and back to a Naples Hotel (euro 160 ) and she was terrific. Do NOT take taxis from Sorrento centre to the Hotel . Euro 25 for a 6 minute 2km journey is robbery and of course the card machine was not working so cash please. The 008 bus stops outside the Hotel and runs on the half hour . Tickets can be bought from the shop 200 metres down the road ( euro 1.50 each ) . All and all a great stay.
La vue les personel
We have just returned from a week in this fantastic hotel. From the panoramic views of the bay, great food and without doubt the best staff in a hotel i have ever come across. Nothing is too much bother for Luca and his colleagues and they create a real feeling of family, chatting to guests and making everyone feel at home. The breakfast was exceptional with a good variety of cooked and continental style as well as made to order eggs and omelettes. The pool area is beautiful with no issue getting beds. A really relaxed atmosphere. Really looking forward to going back already!
Rooms are spacious and bright and comfortable. View is very nice
Breakfast view is super but food is average
Yet again the airport experience at Naples was extremely challenging. However there were several staff on hand to assist travellers needing to complete the entry paperwork and registrations. Thankfully when we arrived at the Bristol it was everything we remembered. Reception staff warmly welcomed us and check in was swift. We were escorted to our room on the 9th floor and very shortly afterwards our bags arrived. The room was spotless, roomy, bright with a good sized bathroom with all the facilities you expect from an Hotel of this standard. Room was cleaned daily and kept spotless. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, a glorious vista over Sorrento and out across the Bay of Naples with Mt Vesuvius as the back drop , pure heaven. The restaurants have stunning views whilst dining. We were on a half board basis and ate breakfast and dinner alternating between the 2 restaurants for dinner. The food is one of the reasons we came back here, it is of the very highest quality with a good choice on the menu each evening to satisfy all tastes. On top of the location, views, excellent quality food and overall facilities the icing on the cake yet again has proven to be the Staff at the Bristol. Every single member of staff we encountered could not do enough to make our stay the very best it could be. They were all polite professional knowledgeable and engaging from Reception to the bars and Luca and the restaurant teams. They all genuinely seem to want to make your stay just perfect, which they did. To everybody at The Bristol massive grazie mille. We wholeheartedly recommend the Bristol to anyone we meet. We will be back
Had a lovely week at the Hotel Bristol after a 3 year absence. Think it was our 17th visit. Booked for October this year, we love it so much. The food is excellent, the hotel immaculate, the staff are wonderful. Upon arriving to leaving, its a wonderful place to be. Look forward to seeing you in October.
Just returned again from the hotel Bristol, what a fabulous hotel this is, with spectacular views across the Bay of Naples, exceptional staff and wonderful service from front of house, restaurant, bars and house keeping. We were allocated room 807 which was spacious with breathtaking views from the balcony. Special thanks to Luca, Jon Luca,Nardia and all the restaurant staff, who always went the extra mile to ensure you had the best experience. Christian and Alexis at the bar, Emiliana and Pepe at the pool bar, front of house who were always very helpful. Anyone who is due to stay at this hotel, you will not be disappointed. We were treated as family and can’t wait to return in September.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bristol, The hotel is beautiful, the room was lovely spacious and spotless with an amazing view. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, Luca and his team were exceptional. The location is excellent for getting to Marina Grande and the main town. We could not have asked for a better experience for our first time in Sorrento.
Excellent- The views and decor are stunning - But the staff make this all together a wonderful place, From Luca and the team in the restaurant to the stars of the pool - Savy and Joseph pool and area around spotless - no scrambling for beds - Perfect
We had a wonderful 7 day holiday at the Hotel Bristol. From the moment you enter the hotel you are greeted by the reception staff and have your luggage taken to your room. Our 6th floor room had the most amazing view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, as did the restaurant and pool side terrace. The breakfast and evening meal was vgood and a big shout to Luca, Carmine and all the waiting staff. Also the chef on the egg station who was entertaining and produced beautiful omlettes to order.... gratzi! Thank you all for a memorable holiday.
We had such a lovely stay. We cannot fault the hotel at all. Our view from the sixth floor looking out over the harbour was spectacular. All the staff from reception to cleaning were absolutely lovely, and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. We’d like to give a special mention to our waiter Giuseppe who was always a pleasure to see, We had the most wonderful time and we will definitely be going back in the future
The staff were excellent and extremely friendly. Sadly the hotel is very dated and not the best location for walking to and from the centre. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the breakfast wasn’t great. Pool area is lovely as are sea views. Overall it’s an OK hotel but definitely didn’t blow my socks off for the price.
Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, breakfast was poor.
spacious room, front desk service is outstanding
took a while to walk to restaurant. but it's a good exercise
Within walking distance to center of town
Stayed for four nights at the beginning of June, my husband booked this for my birthday. When we arrived there were some beautiful flowers, a cake and the room was decorated with balloons. The hotel also gave us a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate. The hotel is in a perfect location, our room had the most amazing views. All staff were lovely and friendly, restaurant staff were helpful and offered alternatives from the menu. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. On our last day we walked around the gardens which we nearly missed and so pleased we didn’t, again beautiful views of Sorrento. Would definitely recommend this hotel and thank you to all the staff.
The hotel is positioned ten minutes walk from Piazza Tazzo with stunning views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It’s breathtaking. We went as a family of four. My twin daughters of nearly 22 and myself and my partner. We both had balcony rooms next to each other on the third floor. The road is busy but that’s what you get for this position. Didn’t particularly bother us once I got used to it as my room at home is silent. Make sure you close the shutters. Please don’t expect five star bling. We loved it. Very clean and had what we needed. I loved the large showers. As did the girls. Bed very comfortable! What makes this hotel are the staff. I have travelled all my life (this was a 60th celebration) and they are the best. Professional yet kind, mindful yet not intrusive. Generous of spirit. I cannot emphasise enough how each and everyone genuinely cares. Truly. No amount of money in any ridiculously expensive hotel will EVER BUY YOU BETTER SERVICE. NEVER! Luca the restaurant manager is one of those special people that will live in your heart and mind long long after you’ve left. He outshines the view. He runs the restaurant with utmost professionalism but finds time to chat and remembers what you like. Nothing is ever too much effort and if something is not to your liking (never for me) talk to him. Shout out to Gianlucca and Carmine too. I forget some other names but these three hold a special place in my heart. All the front desk staff are wonderful and so helpful always. The bar staff mix incredible cocktails and are so very kind. Lovely team. Same on the pool bar and restaurant. One of my twins lost her fish charm she spent a fortune on in Capri.. don’t ask. It’s minuscule at a huge price! Last day somewhere near the pool we thought. She was so grumpy at dinner that night. The front desk asked the bar team to open the pool gate to look but impossible ! The next morning as we left at 6am they appeared with it. They’d found it near the gate. I absolutely know they must have searched for ages. Money cannot buy this caring nature. If you want a hotel with proper Italian charm and courtesies ten minutes walk from the main square with stunning views then please book it. I forgot to add. Food delicious. Always so much choice and I always asked Luca what he recommended that day. If you want a giggle ask Gianluca particularly if it’s lamb on the spit .. or pork 😂. Breakfast fabulous and chef cooks omelettes to order. The last night they sang to me with a lovely cake chef created on the spot as twins forgot to mention my birthday Grazie Mille to you all. Ciao ❤️
Great location
Food was ok
Just returned from another wonderful holiday at hotel Bristol in sorrento have been returning for many years what a place to stay from the minute you enter you are made to feel so welcome staff are so friendly cannot do enough for you nothing is too much trouble from the front of house team to restaurant staff - bar staff - pool - to -house keepers thank you all so much everyone
The staff work incredibly hard and it shows in the quality of the hotel
This hotel is beautiful! We had a room on the top floor with an amazing view of the Sea and Marina Grande. The balcony was the highlight, it was huge and had a hot tub. We loved it! The hotel offered a great breakfast buffet. Overall, the stay was wonderful, very pricey but we were celebrating our anniversay and wanted something special. This certainly fit that bill!
The only thing we would have liked is water in the room everyday. We had 2 bottles when we arrived and never received more. In fact, we were charged for a water bottle at breakfast when we asked for one to go. I just feel water in the room should be an everyday service not just upon arrival. Other than that it was great.
This hotel is top class. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and the food is excellent. The views over the bay of Naples are spectacular. Trips from here are great too. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily
We recently stayed at the Hotel Bristol as part of a Top Flight holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the views of Sorrento and the bay of Naples. The staff were extremely welcoming and very professional. We were looked after extremely well. A special thank you to Andrea & Alex in the Bar, Chris in the Pool Bar and Luca, Giuessipi, Antonino and Carmine in the Dining Room. They all worked so hard and really made our holiday.
The location of Hotel Bristol is perfect with views over Marina Grande. The service & food is superb the rooms clean. A special mention to Luca & Carmine for such professional & friendly service in the restaurant at breakfast & dinner. We will be returning very soon.
The overall service was beyond the standard. I was travelling alone, during my breakfast, one of the service staff( a tall gentle man) made a smile and a big heart for my coffee, he really made my lonely trip something special! Such a warm team!
Good location to old town Sorrento. Room was clean and staff were very helpful and polite.
The hotel was very overpriced. The room was too far away from the main building and a health and safety hazard to get too and the hotel had far too many rules and regulations.
Recently returned from a 7 night stay. Everything about this hotel was first class. We booked the hotel as relatives stayed here before and recommended it to us. It did not disappoint. Though its about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento its not central, but its well worth it for the stunning views, just be mindful of the busy road you walk up, the pavement can be quite narrow. From balcony views to the service provided, it was first class in every possible way. We went half board, and could change between lunch and dinner. We assumed the food would be normal "hotel food" that you could take or leave, couldnt have been more wrong, the food was outstanding and of true restaurant quality, the menus changed daily also which was good. As our birthdays fell on our holiday, the hotel treated us to a bottle of prosecco each, which was a nice touch. All in all Hotel Bristol was everything we hoped it would be, we would recommend and we would definitely stay there again, probably 10 days next time, you would never get bored of the balcony view.
We returned home from the Hotel Bristol last week end, after a 14 night stay, having had an amazing holiday. The hotel views across the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius, not just from your room, but also the dining room and pool area/roof terrace are breath taking. The gardens are well kept, and a peaceful retreat, complete with lemon grove. The reception staff were marvellous in helping us with requests, always greeting us with a smile and dealing with everything in a highly efficient manner. This was our second visit and we told them we would return again in 2028, but after arriving home we have now booked to come back next year 2027. The restaurant is very efficiently run and the staff are so friendly and attentative it was a pleasure to dine there. Luca and his team provided excellent service throughout the holiday. We are already missing the amazing food, Carmine's cappuccino's and Giovanni's fabulous omlettes! There is a great selection of fresh food at both breakfast and evening mealtimes with plenty of options to choose from. We would like to extend a thankyou to all the staff, who clearly go out of their way to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable as possible and they really did succeed. Room cleaners do a brilliant job and someone is always polishing the mirrors, floors and stairs. This hotel takes great pride in its appearance and the happiness of its guests. We have found the hotel to be a shining example to others as to how to treat guests and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Can't wait! Linda and Alan Ramsay
Room was large, comfortable, and clean. The view from the room balcony was fabulous. The staff were the most helpful and friendly that I have ever encountered. Food in the dining room was also very good.
Nothing
Struttura molto bella e ben tenuta Terrazze con panorama mozzafiato anche per chi come me conosce bene Sorrento
Niente
We were 2 couples from Manchester staying for 7 nights to celebrate my niece’s 60th birthday. We stayed here for the first time in September 2025. We had such a great time that we thought we would return and do it all again. The hotel has a slightly old world feeling about it but this is what gives it its charm. We had a room on 7th floor with a great view. The room was lovely and clean throughout with a huge bed to spread out in. The restaurant is wonderful for breakfast and dinner with fabulous views over the bay. Great selection at breakfast and the chef making various egg dishes was brilliant. Dinner was lovely with a good choice and Luca, Guiseppi, Carmine and the whole team were so friendly and welcoming 👏🏻. The team at the pool bar and also in the evening were very good and a special shout out to Christian and Ameliana and the guy behind the bar making great cocktails ( he is the twin of Man Utd player Fernandes ). All the F&B staff are so friendly and gracious which makes this hotel so highly rated with 5* reviews. Many thanks, we hope to return. Andrew, Hilary, Julie and Colin. XXXX
The the moment we arrived the staff were amazing, very polite, tentative and could not be happier to do everything we requested.
We have recently returned from a week at Hotel Bristol. What a superb hotel this is.Nice location just 10 minutes walk into the centre of Sorrento. The hotel was spotless and of a high standard, the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. I usually prefer to stay B&B as like to go out to different restaurants each night however we were half board and it has totally changed my views. The food was fabulous, usually half a dozen options per course to choose from and Luca and his team made it clear on more than one occasion that if you didn’t fancy anything on the menu, just let them know and they would source alternatives for you.You can’t ask for more than that. The restaurant had lovely views over the sea and resort, I couldn’t fault it.There was also a lovely bar to end the night in after a walk around the resort. We had a sea view room on the 7th floor which was very spacious. Overall, a lovely experience that was well worth the money.
A fantastic week in the Bristol Hotel. A special thank you to Luca and Guiseppe and the entire floor staff in the restaurants for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I am coeliac and had plenty of Gluten Free options. They could change almost anything on the menu to my needs. Our room was on the 9th floor with spectacular views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The hotel has an old italian charm with unique features and nothing was too much for the staff. Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage. Both the room and bathroom were beautifully tiled. Everything in the hotel was both professional and friendly at the same time and spotlessy clean. I cant recommend this hotel enough and we hope to return in the not so distant future. Katrina and Martin
The hotel was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodating. We were greeted with a smile at every turn. The hotel even gave us a fan to borrow one evening when the hotels air conditioning stopped working and we got a bit hot in our hotel room. The room was cleaned very well and the breakfast was yummy. This was our first stay in sorrento and if we ever come again, we will definetly be staying at Hotel Bristol again! The best hotel ever!
There was nothing we didn't like
The hotel was very well run by staff, from all areas. The front desk staff were very attentive and quickly responded when asked. A special shout out to the restaurant team who were very professional but above all friendly and helpful. I was keen to progress my Italian and they were patient and encouraging. I particularly thanked Gianluca, Carmine, Luca and Giuseppe. We would definitely recommend staying at the hotel.
We had a family emergency and had to cut short our stay. The staff and management were very kind to us at a difficult time. We really appreciate it. We look forward to returning in better times.
What a hotel, bit expensive but what an experience. Staff could not do enough for you. From reception to restaurants and cleaning staff all very nice and went out of their way to make sure everything was right for guests.
We stayed at the Bristol Hotel for 8 days in May 2026. We had a fabulous room and great service from the staff. Federico was a huge help with planning prior to our visit as well as the restaurant staff really stood out; Giuseppe really made our stay extra nice, as well as Luca and Jon-Luca. Highly recommend this hotel.
Staff amazing, views amazing and hotel was great. Walking distance to downtown area.
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in May, 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful including arranging transportation to the Naples train station and tours. There was a wonderful buffet breakfast each morning with an omelette station. The hotel is in a very nice location with wonderful views of the coast, city, and Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. There is a beautiful garden and pool area- it was still too chilly for swimming though. We had a private Jacuzzi on our terrace, which we really enjoyed. It was not too far or steep of a walk into the city, and there was a sidewalk the whole way. The hotel is very elegantly decorated. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
My husband and I recently recently returned from a week staying at the Hotel Bristol. We can't praise it enough, the hotel is in a great location and the view from our room was amazing. The housekeeping staff were in every day, if not twice some days, ensuring everything was spotlessly clean and tidy All staff that we encountered were so very helpful and friendly but special mention should go to Luca and Giuseppe in the restaurant, so attentive and a joy to speak to. Luca's sense of humour was brilliant, when my husband asked for his steak well done he replied with "so you want chef to kill it twice?" and when asked about how he could remember everyone's room numbers "I have everyone's photos up on a wall at home" were so deadpan and perfectly timed The restaurant had wonderful views across the town and bay and breakfast had an amazing array of both cooked food and cold offerings and it was lovely to sit in the restaurant and take in the views whilst having a leisurely breakfast. Equally, in the evening, the view of the town lit up beneath you whilst enjoying dinner and a drink was something I won't forget. The menu was varied and there was a special menu each day too so there was always something new to try. We shall certainly return in the future, thank you to all at Hotel Bristol
Old world charm without old world fixtures
Could not walk into town because walking back up would be very steep
My husband and I spent four amazing nights in this hotel. The minute we arrived after a long journey from Rome, we were greeted with warmth and cheer. The bedroom was beautiful, clean, comfortable, spotless with the most amazing view. I cannot praise the staff enough. Every single staff person we encountered was delightful and helpful. A special thanks to Andrea and Alex in the bar for the drinks and laughs. Another special thanks to Giuseppe in the restaurant for ensuring I got the tastiest gluten free food. He was incredibly kind and attentive to my dietary needs. The food was delicious 😋. The staff at reception organised a transfer car for us to Naples airport. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for a memorable stay at your beautiful hotel.
What a beautiful hotel with the best hospitality we have ever experienced. Hotel Bristol is such a lovely place to spend a holiday. Tranquil and sophisticated with the most incredible views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It is the hospitality that wins all the prizes for us though. Attentive warm and welcoming. We got to spend both our wedding anniversary and my birthday while we were there. Despite not mentioning it, reception had arranged Prosecco on ice in the room a table by the window at dinner with the best view and a gorgeous birthday cake. Special appreciation goes to Giuseppe Luca Carmine Andrea Alex and Gracia. I never usually name check but felt compelled to do so this time Grazie Mille!! We will be back 😊
Everything couldn't have been better the front desk was great , set up all our transportation, restaurant staff was spot on and stop by the lounge and see Alex great person and great bartender!
The weather
I looked at all the reviews before booking this holiday and I was not disappointed. The Hotel Bristol is a stunning Hotel over looking the bay of Naples. We woke every morning to the view of Mount Vesuvius from our bed in a lovely room, with a balcony which was large and airy with a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower which is always a bonus and was cleaned to a high standard every day. The pool area on the roof had the most amazing views out over the bay and the standard of service in the bar area was both friendly and very professional (even serve drinks to your sun lounger). The Sun Terrace which is situated below has lots of comfy seating areas both in and out of the sun. The dinning rooms were decorated in old world glamour white table cloths waiter service ( Giuseppe) the head waiter is both professional and friendly,( even produced a birthday cake for me) and a bottle of bubble left our room too, the food well, spoiled for choice very evening 4 choices of both starter. main and desert which was all cooked to order by their chefs. At breakfast same waiter service for tea/coffee then endless choice to choose from. eggs are cooked whichever way you want by the chef so always hot. A special mention for Luca too he always had a smile and was very helpful. The Bar is just the same its a beautiful space nice sofas and comfy arm chairs and you can sit outside and look at the incredible night time view, and again waiter service. The walk into Sorrento takes a 10 minute stroll down hill and has great shops and restaurants can always get the bus back! We also visited Pompey and Vesuvius this trip included a very nice lunch so well worth the cost. If your considering going to this hotel you wont be disappointed, everyone from the reception staff, waiters, bar staff cleaners are friendly and helpful, its a very relaxing place with stunning views. A little peace of Heaven, we have already booked again for next May and cannot wait to return. My only gripe if there has to be one, the pool is really cold May is early season so maybe could be heated.
Amazing view from our balcony and the dining room. The best view in Sorrento looking out to Vesuvius and over Sorrento and the bay.
WiFi didn’t work in our room.
Everything was perfect including the room and the service. Location is top, best in Sorrento.
Coffee at breakfast could be better, no good espresso.
