Sehr schönes Hotel. Es ist nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße und daher bisschen ruhiger. Trotzdem ist man super schnell zu Fuß beim See. Tolles Frühstück, schönes Zimmer und sehr nettes Personal.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every aspect of our experience. The rooms are extremely comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, spacious and convenient bathrooms, very good Wi-Fi, and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The swimming pool is fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, what really makes this hotel special is its wonderful staff. We would particularly like to thank Sonuja, Rhitika, Barsha and Nishant, who looked after us in the restaurant. They were always incredibly kind, attentive, helpful and welcoming, and they made every meal and every day even more enjoyable. We would also like to thank the other members of the restaurant team whose names, unfortunately, we did not manage to learn. We especially remember the gentleman with a moustache who welcomed us on our first day and spoke excellent English. He was exceptionally helpful, made us feel comfortable immediately, and patiently explained all the different dishes and food options to us. We are very grateful to him and hope he knows how much we appreciated his kindness. A special mention also goes to the security staff, who were always friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent advice about places to visit, helped us with our plans and recommendations, and were always ready to assist us throughout our stay. We leave with very happy memories and enormous gratitude to everyone who looked after us. The combination of comfortable rooms, a fantastic pool, delicious food, excellent internet and, above all, such warm and caring people made our stay truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would be very happy to stay here again. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome!

Me and my husband came to Pokhara for our 10-year anniversary, but we’re last minute planners, and it was our first time in Pokhara, we didn’t know whether it would make sense to book a better hotel or just stay in a casual one the night before the trek. When we landed and opened Booking, Bar Peepal grabbed our attention because it had a transfer included, so after booking it instantly I called the hotel and asked whether the transfer could arranged right away. Yes it could! Amazing. It came promptly. I also mentioned we’re celebrating our anniversary. Can you believe that during our 15 min drive from the airport hotel managed not only to prepare a balloon surprise for us, but also upgraded the room to a suite. And what an amazing suite it was, with a jacuzzi! I have been to KTM quite a few times, and I’ve stayed in all sorts of accommodations including monasteries.. But I have not experienced such professional staff before, I could really relax. We got the trek permits arranged by the hotel, used the comfortable hotel car to get around, and in general got a lot of help with little inquiries. Yes, everything is more expensive than in most Nepali places, but Nepal can get hectic.. and professionalism is exactly what you should be paying for if you don’t want unnecessary stress. Could not think of a better way to celebrate our special day. The food and service in the restaurant was great, I know Western food is not an easy fit for Nepali chefs, but everything was really decent, and good portions, too. We loved it so much that we decided to stay on our second leg of the trip, after the trek, too. Will definitely be back again when we return to Pokhara.

One thing that I didn’t really appreciate was the massage. For the money paid it was mediocre, just some rubbing with oil, I am a massage geek so I know good from bad. And no deep pressure that I asked of. Even my husband who’s into soft pressure didn’t enjoy his. More professional masseuses are required for this kind of hotel, definitely. And they also kept laughing (at us?) which was confusing.

There is not elevator and its hard to carry all our luggage by stairs.

Breakfast was good and there is enough option. Receptionist Rashmika behaviour was admirable. She was very co-operative. This is not a 5 star property but a 3 star property. This is not resort but only good hotel.

Bathroom and room size is small. All rooms are of same type and size.

My wife and I travelled from New Zealand to Pokhara, Nepal, for our holiday and had the pleasure of staying at Bar Peepal Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and excellent service. The resort has a beautiful rustic ambience that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it a perfect place to unwind. A special thank you to the manager, Ms. Rabina, who was exceptionally efficient, welcoming, and always ready to help. Her professionalism and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. When we experienced a slight discomfort during our stay, she proactively intervened, addressed the issue promptly, and ensured everything was resolved to our complete satisfaction. Her genuine care for her guests and commitment to excellent service were truly commendable. We would also like to highly commend our driver and guide, Mr. Sujan. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and very efficient. He planned our trip to Ghandruk Village perfectly, ensuring we had a comfortable and memorable experience while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. The entire resort team was friendly, attentive, and always greeted us with a smile, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety. Overall, our stay at Bar Peepal Resort exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for warm hospitality, a charming rustic setting, excellent food, and well-organized local tours. We look forward to returning in the future.

An absolutely fantastic stay—highly recommended! We had a very nice stay here, and it is easily one of the best resorts in Pokhara. The location is perfect—incredibly close to the lakeside and the main market area, making it super convenient to explore. A huge thank you to all the staff members; everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was a highlight with so many delicious options to choose from. On top of that, the infinity swimming pool and spa services are pristine and very well-maintained. We had a wonderful, relaxing time and will definitely be back!

Room sizes are little cramped including the balcony area.

The first thing I want to say, the staff at this resort MADE OUR TRIP! They were incredibly welcoming, incredibly helpful but the way they treated our kids.... it was everything to us. They made them feel like it was their home, they remembered their names, asked them questions, treated them like people not just kids. They sat and did activities with them etc. The staff at this resort exceeded expectations MASSIVELY.

the water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing and the power cuts were a bit of a pain but that's the whole area it happened in every restaurant and cafe we went to as well.

The resort has a very beautifully designed and maintained garden that we enjoyed very much. They also grow their own vegetables and herbs, something that we really appreciated and enjoyed. We also enjoyed the majestic view from the restaurant/room/swimming pool over the lake. Truly beautiful. Many thanks to the whole team - restaurant staff that we didn’t get the chance to know the names, but truly appreciated their warmth and professionalism, as well as the Reception team (Mr. Pranish, Mr Shambhu and Ms Rashmita) who went beyond and above to make us feel welcomed.

We loved everything about this hotel. From check-in to check-out, the welcome and hospitality from the staff and team were absolutely amazing. The spa was great too. Location set on hill so it had lovely views of the lake and mountains. Staff were so friendly and kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, including freshly made cappuccinos.

A quaint 45 rooms hotel with a view of the lake. Done in a traditional style with lots of greenery, it has a soothing feel to it. The service is prompt, staff are friendly and the food is great. Do stay here if you are in Pokhara next !

The staff were so attentive! The hotel was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. We really enjoyed our massages and facials. We were celebrating a birthday and the hotel went above and beyond to decorate the room and secure a cake as a surprise. Truly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!

We loved everything

The people are really nice. Both the Manager Rubina and travel manager Shankar are very helpful and nice. The pick up and drop from the airport is a big help. The travel desk could organize all our activities well. The location is close to the lake up a steep hill. The food is organic. All in all a great experience.

The shower area in our bathroom was small and the toiletries are not great. Apart from that nothing.

Boutique hotel, the location is central. A bit high, nice view. The driver can drive you to the lake or in the centre, always ready. The personal on reception is super kind, ready to help you, top professional. Respect. My room 103 was big, nice lake view and mountains side. It was upgraded free of charge. Perfect cleaned. Breakfast was good, big choice. It is real 5* hotel in Nepal. Tatsiana W.

The property is built on a slope and lacks an elevator. Guests in higher rooms must navigate several flights of stairs, which may be difficult for seniors

I specifically booked a twin bedroom but I was later on assigned a double bed bedroom. Hotel staff Rebena (can't actually remember her spelling) said I made a mistake of keying in 1 pax to a room, hence the hotel has the right to change it from a twins beds bedroom to a 1 single king size bedroom. I personally feel this is ridiculous because the hotel has to consult me first before changing it. Nonetheless, Rebena tried to make it up by providing free dinner or lunch or a free sauna and steam (which is weird, why would anyone wants a steam and bath). I asked for a leg massage and was provided by a 30 mins one.

Such a welcoming, comfortable hotel! Our room was lovely, with a fantastic view of the lake. Staff were really helpful, food was great. Sangita from the Spa was lovely and very helpful in booking our massage.
