We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was beautiful, super clean, very new, impeccable bathroom, very comfortable bed. This is truly a five star property and the manager Dawid is so helpful and so nice! I will definitely stay there again at my next visit and highly recommend it.

Betten sind gross so drum herum wenig Platz - aber genug um einiges unter zu bekommen. Koffer und Taschen haben wir in den Flur gestellt. Bad hat unter dem Waschbecken Schubladen - etwas Abstellfläche dort wäre gut ... aber das ist bei dem wirklich hübschen Apartment jammern auf hohem Niveau :)

No elevator to top floor so I had to carry heavy bags up the stairs.

A bit tricky to access the Apt due to confusion with the Apt numbering but not a massive issue, resolved within 5 mins or so 🤷‍♂️

Otroligt snyggt och fräscht. Verkar nästan helt nybyggt. Sköna sängar, morgonrock och tofflor. Bra utrustning i kök.

Något små sovrum, svårt om man har en större resväska , men det går att packa upp och hänga in i garderoben.

Building work going on all day right next to the apartment which looks like an extension being constructed. Very noisy if you were in the house during the day but not an issue later on

The location was wonderful and the courtyard was a bonus. The room was unity and perfect in every way. It had everything we needed,including a much needed washer.

Breakfast not included but that did not matter -in welcome pack plenty of beautiful eating places for this literally right on the doorstep ——The location was exceptional !—step outside and we were on the main thoroughfare

The only thing was that there was construction work going on right outside the one bedroom apartment studio -which resulted in workmen working on the structure immediately overlooking our outside patio ——this meant we could not use our outside space for sitting in or eating —as it was noisy and very uncomfortable being overlooked —but we realise this was work in progress and was unavoidable

This is a BNB rather than a hotel. Getting in was easy, and the rooms were very nice. The property is located right in the middle of St Andrew's - so overall very good. We visited 9 hotels/BNBs in our Scotland trip. I rated this one 5th out of the 9 - the others were all hotels and more expensive.

The only thing that wasn't great was the lack of instructions. We had to find a phone number to work out where the cutlery was kept. It took ages to work out how to work the oven - the previous occupant had activated a child lock apparently, and we couldn't work out how to open/lock the door to the little garden. Small things that took up some of our time that could easily have been addressed with a few instructions.

Great location! Perfectly suited to our family of 4. Clear instructions for check in and access.

All the windows are so difficult to open - although beautiful. Maybe you could investigate and easier option here.

Location was fab!

Never knew about the stairs. We were in a room up on 2nd floor... Although it states you can park outside at Ringo. Its only for 2 hours max. Larger free car park is a short walk away , first come first serve. but wouldn't be ok if our parents were to come with us next time.

The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean,well stocked and in a fabulous location for walking to all the bars and restaurants. I loved the garden space too.

The check out time of 10am meant we didnt really get to spend anytime leisurely getting ready or enjoying the sun in the garden.

Habitación nueva y todo en perfecto estado. Hay un aparcamiento gratis a unos 5 minutos o menos andando.

Logement moderne et extrêmement propre, situé dans un bâtiment de caractère et décoré avec goût. La chambre était bien aménagée et la salle de bain spacieuse, avec une charmante vue sur le jardin et des équipements de qualité. Enfin, même si St Andrews est une petite ville, l’hébergement bénéficie d’un emplacement central, idéal pour visiter l’ensemble des lieux d’intérêt tout en restant à proximité de la gare routière.

Le seul défaut de cet hébergement est que la chambre, bien que très bien aménagée, était un peu petite.

There are many apartments under the No. 1 Apartment management. My cousin stayed at a different one a few years ago and he said it was quite small. But the one we got was excellent. Everything was perfect. Quiet, modern, well-equipped and great location. My wife loved it so much. We had an extremely enjoyable stay.

Very comfortable and convenient room!

The location is great, however it can be a bit loud with university students at night. So if you are looking for a quiet stay it might not be the best location. However if you are looking for a night life then its great location.

The apartment was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and very well located. Washing machine was a nice surprise.

The bed in the primary was not comfortable—lumpy.

Loved the close proximity to everything - we walked everywhere! Plenty of space for my family and the accommodations were gorgeous.

There is not much to complain about. Our tired, jet-lagged selves struggled a little finding our entrance, but a quick call steered us in the right direction.

I didn’t like the 10am check out ,it’s just a little early , this is the second time I have used this property and I love it but will I come back ???? I really don’t know as I said 10 am check out especially if it’s just one night and can’t get access till 3pm .

The location was superb - right on the main street through the middle of town, but still private and quiet, despite enthusiastic late night hijinks from university students in the pubs. Excellent facilities and great furnishings. Easy to find. Parking was an easy five-minute walk from the property, and it was no problem to drop off our bags, then drive the car to the free public lot around the corner. Was in town for just one night on a quick visit to the university, but it would be great for longer stay. My unit was a hotel / studio style room - no kitchen facilities, though there was a mini fridge. If I came back for a more extended visit, I'd definitely try to get one of the units with a kitchen. Wonderful stay!

We arrived after dark, and our unit was sort of hidden. We had to follow signage through a warren of side and back gardens to get to it, which wouldn't have been a problem if the lighting had been a little better. We figured it out, and it wasn't really a problem -- just something to be aware of!

The property exceeded our expectations, but these weren't high because of some of the previous review comments. However, the room was spacious, the location is ideal for all the historic and golf sites, as well as for cafes, shops and dining in the town centre, yet, it's a quiet spot. The bathroom functionality was good, and there's even a shower robe in the wardrobe. Tea and coffee were well stocked, and the bed was comfortable.

Our room was competitively-priced for St Andrews, but the town itself commands pretty steep rates, It's a lovely town, but it's not cheap to visit. If you wish to check in early or leave late, you can pay by the hour. While I can understand this in high season, the management could provide a little flexibility in low season. As we were arriving by public transport, we either had to kill an hour before we could enter the building, or pay up. We stay in many apartments each year, and most, provided you're not pushing for ridiculous extensions, show some flexibility towards their paying guests. Note that of March 2026, there is building construction behind the property, but as it's only active during daytime working hours, it's not a big inconvenience.

Das check-in ist unkompliziert und total angenehm. Die Lage ist top und das Gebäude von außen wunderschön! Die Wohnung war ein Traum, sehr Sauber neuwertig und schön ! Kann ich nur empfehlen. Parkmöglichkeiten an der Straße vor dem Gebäude oder ein großer Parkplatz gleich gegenüber

Super central location but very quiet. Beds were really comfortable, fantastic shower and products, big smart TV. Coffee machine & kettle with plenty of different teas. New and modern room.

Room (twin) was way smaller than the photos, no space to put suitcase/bags.

My room was a shoe box, and i mean i literally fell onto the bed upon opening the door. Maybe i misinterpreted the advertisement but wow, it was TIGHT. I also requested 1 double bed and not two singles, my request had been confirmed so was very disappointed when my bed was 2 singles mattresses. 10am check out is also very disappointing.

The location is perfect with everything including the bus station within walking distance. Although very central it was very quiet and secure during our three night stay. The staff were available & helpful. The apartment was clean, modern & very comfortable.

We were informed before travelling that we had been "upgraded" to a two bed apartment. However, on arrival although it was a two bed apartment there was only access to one bedroom and the upgrade was really just a bigger sitting room. Clearly as a couple we only needed one bedroom & that was what we had booked. but as I suffer from insomnia a second bedroom is very handy at times if I have a poor night. It was just a little disappointing after receiving the email before leaving home. Also there was no full length mirror (not really a complaint just an observation)

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. Top class. Luxurious. Everything you could want or need. Great location just in town. Free car park 5 mins away. Every touch is lovely. Outside space. Gardens. All the furnishings and little touches. Fabulous.

Brilliant location, apartment was really nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and it was all very clean.

We didn't realise there wasn't a kitchen in our apartment but the manager was happy to provide us with a toaster and some plates which was very kind of him as that was our oversight

The entry instructions were a lot and we ended up at the door of another apartment they could be clearer

I stayed in an ensuite bedroom. It was a good sized bedroom but not an apartment. Although close to the town centre it was quiet. The room had a good sized, comfortable bed and double wardrobe. Also kettle and fridge. Heating was good in the winter, there was also an air conditioning unit for the summer. Really liked the push button shower operation, good for avoiding being soaked by cold water from overhead shower. Everything was clean, modern and in good order. Staff on phone were friendly and helpful. You could only access the rear of the building using security code. Route to entrance was well lit and signposted. There was an attractive patio at rear with seating for the summer weather.

As St Mary's Place is next to town centre parking is metered, short stay every day. At 3pm checkin time parking to drop off is almost impossible. Nearest free parking is 5 minutes walk away at Argyll Street. Some of the entrance doors are identical so make sure you know which one is yours.

The location was good, lovely old building, decent value for money.

The room wasn’t as nice as the pictures and wasn’t very well equipped. The check in process felt unclear and confusing. This took about 15 minutes to figure out once we arrived as we thought we had done everything already. We couldn’t find anyone to speak to to get help on this for around 10 minutes on arrival too.

Parking was a tiny bit of a challenge. No biggie really just had to plan some extra time.

This property is amazing. Seriously amazing. Quiet, very clean, and has literally everything you need (bathrobe, slippers, ironing board, golf club storage, kitchen, washing machine, even a little outdoor sitting/picnic area). It is stunning. We had a small problem with the outlets and David (Property Manager) contacted us within minutes and resolved it. If you need a place to stay…book this place.
