Reviewed Sep 5, 2025Amazing stay at Bigatt. Staff, room and breakfast were amazing. The view from the balcony was also really beautiful! The only downside is that you need to catch a bus to access downtown, so you need to plan ahead a little bit. But honestly, that didn't bother us. I truly recommend staying at Bigatt if you are ever in Lugano.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2025Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war sehr gut. Höhepunkt war die wundervolle Aussicht und das ausgezeichnete Frühstückbuffet. Aer Pool war sehr gut. Das Wasser bei 32° Außentemperatur zu warm. Das Hotel ist eher teuer. Nicht nötig finde ich CHF 16./Nacht fürs Parking, da das Hotel ja nicht grad im Zentrum liegt und eine Anreise ohne Auto kompliziert ist. Dafür gibt es das Ticino Ticket, das die Nutzung des ÖVs erleichtert. Beim TV funktionierte etwa 10 Sender nur mit Störungen. Sschade, dass die deutschsprachigen Schweizer Sender davon betroffen sind.

The staff, the fresh and clean atmosphere, the pool (swimming outdoors in the alps on Halloween was not expected), the dinner made from a fresh on the grounds garden, the house wine also made on the grounds, the stunning views of Lugano, and also the story of the place all make it a rare find while traveling. Bigatt is the real deal for hospitality and stay here if can. I will try to be back some day.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2024This was an old villa renovated to a high standard. It was very beautiful. Our room was clean, large and we loved the decor. The most amazing thing was the view of Lugano. The restaurant was pricey but served outstanding dishes. The breakfast buffet beautifully presented with many options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel was on a steep hillside and we could only get to town by car as we could not walk down the hill. We are older and not in the best physical shape. However, overall, a fantastic hotel that we would warmly recommend.

Staff in restaurant and kitchen did an excellent job and were very attentive. If ever back in this area we would visit again. Great place to stay.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2024Die Zimmer im speziellen und die ganze Anlage sind überdurchschnittlich sauber. Tolles Morgenessen mit regionalen Produkten. Das Nachtessen war sehr gut gekocht und liebevoll angerichtet. Von der Restaurant Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick über die Bucht von Lugano. Alles in Allem lohnt sich ein Aufenthalt im Hotel Bigat.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2022An historical building nicely renovated with nice view on Lugano and a great pool. The breakfast is wonderful, everything made from fresh ingredient from the property farm. The room was big and very comfortable. The only negative point is to have an extra cost for parking. This property is far from the city so many people will come by car and it is not normal not to have the parking free for this standing.

Stanze pulitissime e nuove in tutto, con vista fantastica sul lago. colazione super abbondante e buonissima con ampia scelta di prodotti freschi che accontentano tutti i viaggiatori (anche vegani). Se posso permettermi solo un piccolo consiglio: Sarebbe più comodo avere le uova già pronte al buffet della colazione per non dover attendere la loro cottura. sicuramente tornerò

Die Zimmereinrichtung war neuwertig und schön, aber muss sehr weiche Betten mögen - nicht mein Fall leider. Daher werde ich nächstes Mal eine andere Unterkunft auswählen.
