Nice hotel with very friendly owners. Rooms were large and very clean. Swimming pool was great after our safari to Yala National park. The owner had organized it for us.

Large room, good beds, Nice modern bathroom, large swimmingpool with fine sunbeds. Hosts are very friendly! The guide they arranged to visit the Yala Park was also very friendly and ragen to let us see a Leopard, bear and More.

Looks a little bit old fashioned because of the refridge, curtans and bedtextile. But it was clean!

The room was very large and the bed enormous! It was very comfortable and we both slept very well. The pool was sparkling clean and very refreshing after a day hunting for leopards. Breakfast was a mix of Sri Lankan and English. Hosts were friendly and relaxed. Happy to organise tours if you want them. Easy walk or tuk tuk (pick me app) to a variety of good restaurants. This is a good value accommodation option. It isn’t the Radisson but you aren’t paying top dollar.

No restaurant on site so we had to go out for meals. Rooms aren’t serviced daily (but we didn’t ask)

Good size room with nice bathroom. Fabulous pool; so nice to cool down in after our safari. Host very sweet. Let us borrow bikes to ride into town and also prepared breakfast for us after getting back rather late from our safari.

Great value, friendly and helpful reception. The room was large and comfy - a little faded round the edges, though the bathroom was newly refurbished with a great shower. Excellent breakfast and refreshing pool.

Hotel que devia de ser molt maco però que ara està decadent. Amb una mica de manteniment i actualització estaria molt millor.

Das Hotel hat schon bessere Tage gesehen (abblätternde Farbe etc). Frühstückspaket auf unserer Safari war enttäuschend.

A notre demande l'hôte nous a organisé le safari à yala, l'hébergement n'est pas loin d'un Lac.

Personal war sehr freundlich und haben uns eine Super Safari angeboten. Wir haben eine Private Safari zu zweit bekommen für einen sehr guten Preis. Frühstück und Zimmer waren Super.

Het zwembad is fijn. En je kunt er de hele dag heerlijk eten bestellen. Aardige mensen ook. En de bedden zijn enorm!

No funcionaba el agua caliente no pregunté cual era el problema. Yo dormi en planta baja . Pero te puede tocar un tercero sin ascensor.

La piscina estaba muy bien. La cama era cómoda. El cocinero era un hombre majisimo y muy agradable con el que hablar un rato. Pudimos aparcar la moto dentro.

Habíamos reservado otra habitación superior y nos dieron otra por hacer el check in un poco antes. Parecía que estábamos solos en el hotel. El grifo del lavabo goteaba. La piscina resbalaba mucho.

Enorm gastvrije mensen die je warm verwelkomen. Mooie ruime kamers met prachtige badkamer. Goede douche, heerlijke grote bedden. Veel ruimte en goede faciliteiten. Prachtig zwembad waar de kinderen veel hebben gespeeld. Heerlijk! Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt!

Ils ont gardé nos bagages pendant le safari avec possibilité de se doucher et de se changer dans une chambre après le safari alors que nous partions à rekawa La piscine est extrêmement agréable avec serviette de plage fournie.

Der Koch war super und alle sehr freundlich. Einfache Unterkunft aber Preis-Leistung gut.

Sehr großes, geräumiges und sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon. Ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Kaffee-/Teezubehör. Schöner großer Pool, der mehrmals am Tag gereinigt wurde, da durch den Wind immer wieder Pflanzenreste im Wasser lagen. Sehr nettes Personal. Es wurde ein wunderbares Frühstück serviert und es wird auch sehr leckeres Abendessen angeboten.

Das Zimmer war etwas düster, da neben dunklen Möbeln und Boden rundum noch schwere dunkle Vorhänge angebracht waren.

Lage für einen Trip in den Yala-Nationalpark sehr gut. Das kleine Hotel hat einen eigenen Jeep, so dass man vom Hotel aus losfahren kann. Tip: nur den Jeep im Hotel bezahlen und das Eingangsticket am Eingang zum Park kaufen; ist dann etwas günstiger.

Die Speisekarte ist zu groß, die Portionen zu klein und die Preise dafür sind auch bezüglich der Qualität nicht angemessen. Das Hotel hat kein Restaurant, aber man kann etwas dort essen. Der Pool ist schön - aber Achtung: die Kreamik-Platten der Treppe, die in den Pool führt, sind spiegelglatt und man muss extrem aufpassen, dass man nicht ausrutscht.

Lovely quiet place with friendly staff and nice pool. The bedroom was the biggest we had throughout our Sri Lanka trip with four large beds. Great value for money with fantastic food. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the food, which was delicious and clean. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and pool were very clean and were equipped with all the facilities. It was really a good value for money. The staff went out of the way to fulfil our requirements.

The safari that was arranged was a little too expensive, and it felt like we didn't get the full value for the money spent.

Helpful staff. Lovely pool

This is a great place to stay just out of Tissamaharama. We enjoyed a nice bike ride to the different buddist temples and round the lake. We also watched the fruit bats come alive at sunset which was fun. Our host arranged our safari to Yala. The park was a bit disappointing as there are a lot of jeeps and its very busy, but this is not the hosts fault! The pool was fab to chill out in after safari:) Our hotel organised packed breakfast, bikes, safari , our laundry and onward transfer to Ella. The breakfast was also fantastic! Thanks for a lovely stay !

Our family room was lovely and large. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. The included breakfast was great - American style pancake and waffles with omelettes, sausages and fruit. We did have lunch and dinner here which was also tasty. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

The restaurant food was a little pricey.

Excellent location, pool was very clean and beautiful. Rooms very big, barth room clean and confortable beds . Staff helpful ,they organized yala safari tour and grate tour, we saw leopard , elephant ,lot of bird and meny animals. We recommend yala golden wild hotel and we try to come next year

Super établissement avec un très bon accueil. Discret mais à l’affût du moindre besoin c’est très agréable! La chambre est top : un lit confortable et propre, une climatisation qui fonctionne, de l’eau chaude. Les hôtes vous fournissent même des serviettes pour la piscine. Ils nous ont également organisé le safari pour un prix correct avec petit déjeuner à emporter.

La piscine est un peu dangereuse (carrelage coupant), il faudrait refaire les joints pour qu’elle soit parfaite !

Swimming pool dangerous , sharp edges on sides of pool , slippery tiles . My son fell immediately when walking into the pool , fortunately just grazed his leg .

Wat heeft dat hotel nood aan een uitgebreide TLC. Het is voor ons 1 van de duurste hotels waarbij de meerprijs zeker geen meerwaarde genereert. Eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam maar alle srilankanen die wij ontmoet hebben waren dat. Is het niet normaal dat commercanten dat ook zijn? De huurprijs van 2 fietsen( volgens onze normen echte wrakken) vonden wij ook wel pittig (1500 roepie)

I thought that the accomodation was very good in that it was a very clean establishment. Also the WI-FI coverage was excellent. In turn I ate there most nights & the menu selection was quite wide & the resultant food was always very tasty. Also the pool was very clean & well maintained. Finally the manager - whose name I have forgotten unfortunately - was consistently helpful & cooperative. OK.

There was nothing that I really disliked.

Perfect place to stay for two nights if you are doing the safari. Very helpful staff who booked our safari and transport to Ella the next day.

We spent three nights here and had such a wonderful time. Kasun and Geethika were great hosts; friendly, chatty, and helpful. Nothing was too much for them and Kasun was very happy to get tonic for my wife which we really appreciated. They arranged a safari to Yala National Park which ended up just the two of us; it was wonderful with elephants and a leopard seen. They can arrange taxis and washing. The evening meals are freshly cooked and very tasty and made with little or no spice to suit our taste. The hotel is very clean and tidy and Kasun and Geethika take great pride in this. There was no signs of the wear and tear we have seen in other, more expensive places. The pool is lovely, cooling, and clean with areas of shade and those for sun loungers. The breakfast was really nice and included fresh fruit, toast and omelettes that were just lovely. We had a large double room that was spacious. The bed was two medium sized double beds put together which was amazingly comfortable. The aircon was great, the shower had multiple options and there is a covered seating area outside for relaxing. We have no hesitation recommend this and providing a high rating as we would definitely come back if returning to Sri Lanka.

The accommodations, including the room and bathroom, were impeccably clean, with all items clearly labeled as sanitized. The availability of hot running water was a welcome amenity. The hotel staff efficiently arranged our Bundala safari and provided an exceptional breakfast for our excursion. The swimming pool also met high standards.

The hotel was very nice and it was so nice to have a swim in the pool when we arrived. The hotel was very clean and the facilities and standarts was very high. A perfect hotel to the price! The owner of the hotel was so kind and helpful, and helped us to arrange a full day safari through the hotel in Yala National Park. We were extremely lucky and had the best driver on our Safari, he knew everything about the animals, the nature in the park and knew exactly where to find them. On top of that he was a very kind person! You should definitely go here and ask for Taridu to be your driver and you are sure to have the best Safari ever!

The pool was great after the safari, and the family running the hotel is very friendly.

Très bon accueil par le couple qui tient cet hôtel. J'ai séjourné deux nuits dans cet hôtel dans deux catégories de chambres différentes. La premiere était une chambre double deluxe, les lits étaient très larges et parfaits, par contre la salle de bain nécessiterait une rénovation mais l'ensemble était très convenable pour le prix. La chambre est vaste Excellent petit déjeuner.

Salles de bains et une armoire dans la chambre où ranger ses affaires, l'espace devant la chambre qui mériterait une rénovation. Les chambres sont très bien mais les espaces communs mériteraient un petit coup de neuf

The husband and wife couple were lovely! The husband is super friendly and smiley, and was incredibly flexible with us (twice) as our dates kept changing. Excellent communication. The pool is clean and the beds outside are great. Inside the room, the beds were comfortable and the aircon worked great.

La deuxième était une chambre familiale immense (j'ai bénéficié d'un surclassement) et très confortable. La salle de bains était bien mieux que dans la première chambre où le système de chauffe eau laissait à désirer et incompréhensible. Petit déjeuner toujours excellent et famille adorable.

Le fait que la chambre soit au rez-de-chaussée collée à la cuisine et la reception alors que la chambre double était dans un bâtiment séparé donc plus au calme. Manque une armoire dans cette chambre aussi sinon très belle chambre lits excellents . rien à dire pour le prix.

What a great place to stay. Family business providing great service including great food from restaurant. Clean comfortable room with everything you need. Pool was a great bonus after a day on Safari to relax and unwind.

Kasun, der Manager hat uns sehr herzlich Empfangen. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und bereits nach einer Nacht unseren Aufenthalt verlängert. Man kann direkt im Hotel eine Safari buchen. Die Unterkunft ist gepflegt und das riesige Bett ist sehr bequem. Unser Zimmer war im 1. Stock und hatte einen Balkon. Tolle Dusche mit heißem Wasser und ordentlichen Wasserdruck. Super Badetücher für Bad und Pool. Das Wifi war schnell und hat einwandfrei im Zimmer und am Pool funktioniert. Der Pool ist groß und die Sonnenliegen sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich mit frischen Früchten und es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben. Es gibt eine Speisekarte mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten und großer Auswahl. Wir haben am Nachmittag unser Dinner vorbestellt und zur vereinbarten Zeit ein leckeres Abendessen erhalten. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum, den See erreicht man in Kürze. Einige Restaurants sind rundherum und trotz der ruhigen Umgebung ist man relativ schnell in der Stadt, wo man alles bekommt. Wir würden wieder kommen und empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter. VIELEN DANK FÜR DIE ENTSPANNTE ZEIT!

Yala Golden Wild is a hidden gem in the heart of Tissamaharama. The availability of super spacious en suite family rooms is ideal for families/ large groups. To add to the above, Kasun and his family are incredible hosts - True Sri Lankan hospitality, warmth and breakfast prepared with love - it was one of the best we’ve had in the area in quite some time. A spread of string hoppers, bread, pol rotti, accompanied with dhal, pol sambol, and a perfectly cooked Sri Lankan chicken curry was an absolute treat. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, and very convenient location for safari.

Very disappointed with this hotel - we booked 2 nights unfortunately. Room was ok but lots of flies & bugs. Tv didn’t work with a message saying the bill had not been paid. Offers a restaurant but it’s just tables in reception & food cooked badly by receptionist. Breakfast wasn’t good either. No alcohol, the guy drove off & came back with 2 cans of warm beer. Has potential to be nice but poorly run. Location is rural, you need a car
