La camera è fantastica, ben arredata e molto spaziosa. Bella la vista sul lago, soprattutto al tramonto. Il personale gentile e molto disponibile. Buonissima la colazione.

Peccato che al momento sono in corso dei lavori di ristrutturazione, ma non hanno influito sul nostro soggiorno!

Leider haben wir bei der Buchung übersehen, dass dss Resort keinen Pool hat.

Piccola disorganizzazione per la colazione. Abbiamo dato un orario ma hanno preparato il tavolo e portato il cibo quasi mezz'ora dopo. Inoltre abbiamo chiesto una colazione tipica e 3 internazionali ma quella srilankese non è mai arrivata. A parte questo il posto lo consiglierei

Super lieve mensen, konden ons met alles helpen (Safari, taxi etc). Ook heerlijk gegeten daar, zowel ontbijt, lunch als diner. Kamer was echt fantastisch! Heel ruim en de badkamer was enorm, zelfs een bad! We hadden spijt dat we er maar 1 nacht waren.

De hotelkamer bevond zich op de bovenverdieping met twee zeer ruime slaapkamers en een mooi uitzicht op het meer. De host van het hotel was erg vriendelijk en gezellig.

Je moest naast het bedrag dat je via booking betaalt nog servicefee, BTW en een paar procent aan creditcardkosten betalen. Het hotel ligt wat afgelegen waardoor wel vervoer nodig hebt.

Everything was amazing! The room itself was incredible! Huge bathroom, great ac, great minibar with an option of a bottle or red or white wine and beers and soft drinks ice cold. Huge bathroom tub, and amazing bed. However it was Nashan and nakila that made the place a 5 star experience. They cooked amazing food, helped us with everything, met us at 5 am with a breakfast to take for our safari, and did it all with a huge smile on their face. Will 100% stay here every time I return.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso l'Hotel Art Yale con la nostra famiglia, insieme ai nostri due bambini di 8 anni, e l'esperienza è stata davvero splendida. La struttura, affacciata direttamente sul lago, dispone di sole tre camere, caratteristica che rende l'ambiente particolarmente tranquillo, intimo e accogliente. Gli interni sono curati con grande attenzione ai dettagli, arredati con gusto e impreziositi da tonalità naturali che creano un'atmosfera rilassante ed elegante. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità e ospitalità. Il personale ci ha fatto accomodare nella sala d'ingresso offrendoci una piacevole tazza di tè, un gesto semplice ma molto apprezzato che ci ha fatto sentire subito i benvenuti. Abbiamo avuto anche il piacere di cenare in struttura: la cena è stata preparata esclusivamente per noi, un'attenzione che ha reso la serata ancora più speciale e che testimonia la cura riservata agli ospiti. Abbiamo soggiornato al primo piano in due camere doppie con bagno privato, con accesso a una splendida e ampia terrazza ad uso esclusivo affacciata sul lago. Svegliarsi la mattina con quella vista è stato davvero impagabile. Ottima anche la colazione, ricca e genuina, con abbondante frutta fresca, servita nel cortile esterno immerso in una vegetazione rigogliosa, un ambiente perfetto per iniziare la giornata in totale relax. Consigliamo vivamente l'Hotel Art Yale a chi cerca un soggiorno all'insegna della tranquillità, dell'ospitalità e dell'attenzione ai dettagli, soprattutto per chi viaggia in famiglia. Un luogo in cui ci siamo sentiti davvero accolti e che ricorderemo con grande piacere.

Posto incantevole con una terrazza stupenda stile lounge di fronte al lago. Abbiamo mangiato nella struttura e essendo gli unici ospiti (la struttura ha una camera familiare - due doubleroom separate con un unico bagno -family room al +1 -e una doubleroom al pt) il cuoco ha cucinato solo per noi un riso con diversi curry. Buonissimo. Gentilezza, ospitalità, cortesia e super pulizia completano il quadro idilliaco.

Increíble! El alojamiento está muy cuidado y es muy acogedor. El señor que nos recibió y nos atendió es un encanto. Siempre preocupado de que todo estuviese bien. Nos acompañó a dar un paseo por el lago al atardecer, estuvimos charlando sobre la historia del país, los animales, etc... El desayuno riquísimo, y ellos también se encargaron de reservarnos el safari en yala.

The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and professional. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The food offered by the hotel is excellent. We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to recommend this establishment.

The staff were incredible- the service was amazing from start to finish The food was delicious- we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and couldn’t fault any of it, we loved every dish!! The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms have been designed exquisitely and the beds were super comfortable- the hotel is right on the lake which is beautiful to sit by in the morning and have breakfast Thankyou so much for an incredible stay- the best stay we had had in Sri Lanka 😊

Hele aardige medewerkers, denken met je mee en de eigenaar wilt echt dat je een goede ervaring hebt. Ook heeft de man van zijn zus een eigen taxibedrijf die perfect is (en nog goedkoper dan alle andere)

Weeral was excellent and made the stay very special. He was so kind and friendly. The design of the property was beautiful and it’s close to the river for beautiful sunsets and to see animals.

Without exaggeration: it is a lovely place to stay. Beautiful view of the lake and the lovely garden full of birds. The owner and his staff are very helpful. A trip through a National Park or a boat trip on the lake. It can all be arranged. The rooms are beautiful, luxurious enough. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. They have a great cook. If you want a good driver and excellent guide, ask for Pusa. He showed us very nice places and he spotted a leopart !! Thank you for the good care.

Everything was so clean. The decor was beautiful. The location was perfect, right on Tissa Lake. The staff were so tentative and always wanted to help us. I loved my stay!

This accommodation meets all of your expectations.

This is a small nice place. Very near to the lake. Lovely room, cool enough.And very prepared breakfast.

However as hotel owner is not stay at the hotel. Staff should talk with owner everything, so we have to wait wait and wait to get the reply. It takes time. And also there are many many flies outside. You may see many geckos out side also.

One of the best places, if not the best, in our travel to Sri Lanka. It is really a boutique hotel. Very unique in its marvelous decoration. We took the room in the second floor. A very spacious room with an extraordinary wide balcony. The service is excellent. Breakfast was good. Don't miss this place.

Boutique Hotel che ti sorprenderà perché va oltre le tue aspettative. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Soluzione perfetta per chi vuole fare il Safari nel parco Nazionale di Yala. Un po’ lunghi i tempi per la prima colazione ma comunque buona.

The room was very spacious and clean. You can tell a lot of love has gone into making it look good. If you are making an overnight stop for a safari it can do just that but there is nothing within walking distance and is very isolated. The staff member spoke very little English and we asked for coffee before our safari at 5 am and he did not wake until 4.55 so no time.

Lovely B&B style accommodation. We booked a deluxe family suite which was extremely spacious and had two separate bedrooms and a large bathroom. The rooms were also very clean. The water temperature was a bit of a let down but given the heat it was bearable. The service was impeccable. There are only two guys on staff, Ashan and Ajith, who went out of their way to meet your every need. Ashan is an excellent chef and cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast. Some of the best meals we’ve had on our 2 week long trip in Sri Lanka. I mentioned I liked Tiger beer and Ajith went on his bike to get me one from a local store. The location is about a 45 min drive from Yala National Park, which can be a bit inconvenient but given that you are likely to spend a whole or half day on safari, it’s not a big issue. The scenery from the hotel is very picturesque and there are some lovely local neighbours. Overall, this was a unique experience and deserving of 5 stars!

Fabulous place to relax before and after Yala Safari tour. Rooms are spacious, clean and relaxing. Property assisted with booking an excellent safari and providing packed picnic breakfast for the trek. Sunset view from the upper balcony across the lake is beautiful & property provided binoculars to fully appreciate wildlife. Staff prepared us a fabulous meal for dinner. Very attentive to every need, thank you.

Moderno alojamiento a un paso del parque natural de Yala. El personal es super atento, la comida esta buenísima, la cama es cómoda, está bastante limpio y te preparan el desayuno para llevar si haces el safari pronto por la mañana!

Tutto. Hotel pulitissimo, con ogni servizio. Colazione super e staff gentilissimo. Raccomando, purtroppo ci sono stata solo una notte.

El alojamiento es increíble, muy nuevo y todo huele súper bien. Además, el personal y el dueño, Madu, son súper atentos. Nosotros cenamos y desayunamos allí con ellos y la comida es probablemente la mejor que hemos comido en todo el viaje.

Атмосферный отель, тут необычная планировка и дизайн, но при этом уютно и красиво. В номере было все необходимое, было чисто. Хорошее расположение отеля, - отсюда красивый вид на озеро, тут не шумно, при этом в пешей доступности есть отличный ресторанчик и отсюда удобно отправляться на сафари. Также нам собрали завтрак с собой к 5 утра, сначала я скептически отнеслась к деревянным коробкам, хоть они и были красивые, но в итоге благодаря им завтрак отлично сохранился, пока нас швыряло в джипе) Дружелюбный и приятный персонал, нам помогали со всеми нашими просьбами, встретили нас приветственным смузи и перед отъездом напоили чаем, отказавшись брать за это плату. Еще на территории отеля живет милая черепашка. Спасибо!

Персонал очень милый и дружелюбный, но они отправляют чересчур много сообщений в вотсап)) я знаю, что они хорошие ребята и делали это из лучших побуждений, но иногда это слишком ранние смс, я же не всегда встаю как на сафари😁

A tastefully designed space with all creature comforts yet rustic and earthy in feel. A truly artful experience. The rooms were big, spacious and packed with comfort. The staff was co-oporative, cordial and professional. The breakfast was decent and ample. The bathrooms were gorgeous especially the ground floor master bedroom. It was a delight to stay here.

It was not very well lit. Some areas the lights were not working but overall it was more than a pleasant stay.

Room was big, clean and bathroom was immaculate.

They arranged a safari, but didn’t really listen to what I was looking for.

The room was very nice albeit a bit dark. The rooms are ,I suppose,a bit boutique with rich coloured blankets. Very nice spacious bathroom .( wasn’t sure why the owner insisted we keep the bathroom door locked, snakes? ) The air conditioning was very good Can’t fault the room. We had a very good safari ..pickup 0430 and drop back 12.30. We had a great guide , Pintia? , who had sharp eyes. Saw everything..yes a beautiful leopard, but not a bear!

For a boutique hotel I think some tea bags and creamer would have been expected . The place calls itself a resort but it’s not that..just 2 rooms in top of each other with a seating area and no real frontage. We were surprised to be texted the night before we would have to pay cash for the drive at 0430. I thought booking the overinflated price through the hotel would make the whole paying process easier( our driver had recommended we go with the people he always uses about 15000 cheaper but I mistakenly thought booking through the hotel would make it easier) Anyway insisted we would pay on checkout ..and with credit card. On checkout I was told they would charge another 3% for credit card…was I ok with that.? I said no…nowhere else in Srilanka does that( we d been up north at this point..as we hit the beaches it became obvious that’s what they do in the south) He was then happy not to charge me the 3% and explained they just claim it off the government anyway!!!..basically saying all tourists are being overcharged 3%!! Subsequently have found out it’s illegal for vendors to try and charge this 3% on credit cards. The staff at the hotel were nice enough but from the start of booking I was inundated with constant Whatspps from the chap running it.100 in total!

老板回复信息速度很快，非常热情。酒店房间很大。我们到的比较晚，老板还提前询问了到达时间，提前准备了晚饭。酒店还提供Safari，我们非常幸运的看到了锡兰豹。

位置靠近湖边，晚上蚊虫比较多，但是室内很干净，整个民宿艺术感十足，老板是很懂艺术的。晚上入住，老板一直在和我们确认到店时间，我们线上沟通订了晚餐，我们到店的时候就可以直接吃上热乎乎的饭啦。好贴心的服务。

We were warmly welcomed into the resort by lovely staff who instantly made us feel at ease. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff helped arrange our safari and made us a packed breakfast to take along. They cooked us a delicious dinner which we enjoyed under the stars

We had such a wonderful time at Art Yala! The house is modern, spotless, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The family made us feel right at home, and the dinner they prepared was one of the best we had during our trip. The rooms — especially the bathrooms — were spacious and beautifully designed. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The design, the texture of the walls, the tables, the cutlery, the dedicated staff, the delicious food, the luxurious bed, in short, everything is a dream.

This Hotel is a scam. I booked room via hotel.com and hotel management directly contactec me as well as sent an email of cancellation of booking due to non availiboltu of room. It happened on 08/08/2025 and I am still chasing the refund of the money I paid. I am contacting hotel.com customer service again n again and they say that they are recieving any response from hotel.

Super leuk klein hotel. Ideaal voor als je een safari gaat doen. De eigenaar Madoe zorgt voor alles! Lekker om te eten.

Als je uit eten gaat ‘s avonds… de eigenaar zei dat we moeten opletten voor slangen, maar de straathonden in groep waren voor ons hetgeen je ook moet voor uitkijken.

This was one of the best hotels that we stayed in during our time in Sri Lanka (10+ accommodations). I would highly recommend. We visited Yala for the national park and this accommodation was ideal for our two nights stay. The staff were very professional and welcoming, and ensured we had a great visit throughout. The communication in the lead up was exceptional, and we organised a fantastic private safari through the hotel (great breakfast and lunch was provided). The room was one of the best that we had during our stay in Sri Lanka; the room was exceptionally clean, large and finished to a very high standard. The room provided a spacious bathroom with shower, bath and his and hers sink, while the room has seating, a coffee area and great AC. The attentiveness of the staff made our visit, we felt the benefits of a professional luxury stay while maintaining the pros of an a smaller property. Secure private parking onsite - ideal for our rented tuktuk. We had dinner both nights at the hotel, and the breakfasts were great. Thanks!

The rooms are incredibly beautiful and spacious, the beds are good, the surroundings are peaceful and gorgeous. And the food is the best we had in all Sri Lanka! They also arranged for a safari for us and de had the greatest experience for a cheaper price then on all the websites. You can visit this hotel without hesitation!

One of the hidden gems of Sri Lanka! This beautiful hotel is set around a serene lake, with stunning views from the room overlooking water lilies, palm trees, and grazing buffalo. The rooms are stylishly decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic, with something for everyone. Madu, the manager, is incredibly approachable and goes above and beyond to make everything possible. A truly amazing stay!

Great value for money. Appreciate the hospitality. I wish nothing but the best for the Art Yala team. There was a good breakfast and a lot of restaurants close by for convenience. Definitely head to the ancient temples close by. It's right next to the lake so it was very relaxing for my family.

Probably eventually changing the bedsheets into white ones would bring in more of a luxurious vibe. Just a thought but no complaints.
