There’s no real value for money except access to the lake. Very overpriced in terms of facility, cleanliness and general attention to customer. The staff of the hotel seemed to find every question a hassle.

Falta de frigorífico no quarto e de gerador no hotel. Houve um apagao em Bacalar durante a estadia e sem o gerador o ar condicionado não funcionava, tornando o quarto muito quente e húmido e impossível para dormir.

La cama no era muy confortable

L'emplacement de l'hôtel. Le lieu est magnifique. Les petits déjeuners sont très bons.

Chambre à 4 lits, lits inconfortable. La vue est magnifique mais la chambre serait à refaire car c'est pas au niveau d'un 4 étoiles. La 2ème chambre était à côté de la route et l'insonorisation était inexistante, là aussi pas au niveau d'un 4 étoiles car on cherche du repos et c'était tres bruyant. Dommage car le lieu est magnifique!

Lovely location! The glamping is stunning and really good food and overall great staff. Really absolutely loved it!

Language barrier made it a bit tougher to communicate with staff but still very friendly helpful staff.

The food is extremely good. Fresh ingredients, cooked from scratch, quality. Highly recommended. The central areas - reception, restaurant area, toilets, etc are very nicely done. The staff are very nice Beds were comfortable and the ’hotel’ rooms looked nice Atmosphere around the pool / bar is very nice.

Do not stay in the 4x single room (at the top of the main building). The smell of sulphur from the drain (think durians in Asia…) was overpowering to the extent that we began to become ill on the second night and had to move rooms - which they kindly allowed). Lack of curtains - in the smelly room they were broken, and in the substitute room they were not on the top window meaning an early wake up Service was mixed. Reception good. Watersports terrible - changing their hours with a shrug of shoulders. Bar very slow. Waiters helpful. Lack of sun loungers. Simply not enough given the number of guests. Yes sometimes an issue in all hotels, but they have the space. An own goal. Breakfast starts at 8am! Love the holiday atmosphere, but if you are doing anything (we did a trip to Kohunlich and Dzibanche) they leave early so you miss out (albeit they did swap it for a take away ham and cheese sandwich).

Le personnel est très accueillant et l'endroit est impeccable. Avec le kayak, le paddle et le petit-déjeuner inclus, ce fut une expérience formidable. Je recommande vivement et j'y retournerai pour mes prochaines vacances. Et n'oubliez pas de laisser un pourboire ; c'est un service auquel vous êtes habitué dans votre pays, alors faites-le ici aussi !

Locatie aan de lagune was prachtig

Onze kamer zat vlakbij de keuken. De afzuiging maakte veel herrie. Helaas waren de sup’s buiten gebruik.

La chambre face a la lagune à une vue magnifique mais l'intérieur de la chambre est ce qu'il y a de plus basique et encore . Elle mérite un bon rafraîchissement , la literie est catastrophique c'est bien dommage ! C'est le seul bémol de cet hôtel , heureusement que nous passions notre temps à l'extérieur

- La chambre attribuée n’est pas montrée en photo sur le site de Booking ; nous avons été déçus. - le temps d’attente au petit déjeuner (un seul serveur en salle qui faisait de son mmieux). 40 minutes d’attentes pour des tartines.

Wij hadden dit hotel voor drie nachten geboekt en kwamen rechtstreeks uit Mérida, waar we in een 5-sterrenhotel hadden verbleven. Omdat dit hotel in Bacalar een van de duurdere accommodaties van onze reis was, hadden we hoge verwachtingen. Helaas viel het bij aankomst erg tegen. Naar onze mening voldoet deze accommodatie absoluut niet aan wat je van een 5-sterrenhotel mag verwachten. Vooral gezien de prijs vonden wij de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding niet in balans. Daarom hebben wij besloten hier niet te blijven. Gelukkig is dit heel netjes opgelost en hebben we ons geld teruggekregen.

De gehele uitstraling van het hotel viel ons tegen en kwam niet overeen met wat wij van een 5-sterrenaccommodatie verwachtten. Vooral de 4-persoonskamer voldeed voor ons absoluut niet aan het niveau en de kwaliteit die je bij deze prijsklasse mag verwachten. Daardoor stond de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding voor ons niet in verhouding.

L’établissement dispose de chambres confortables (les bungalows dont certains sont tous neufs) et d’autres chambres à rénover intégralement (dans le bâtiment principal) où il ne faut vraiment pas être logé. Heureusement nos filles ont pu changer de chambres après plusieurs demandes ! Une bonne rénovation à plusieurs endroits serait nécessaire. Le restaurant était correct pour déjeuner mais le petit déjeuner était moyen Pas de service à la réception qui n’aide même pas pour les bagages

Position

Sehr schöne Lage an der Laguna Bacalar, mit Seezugang. Gemütliches kleineres Hotel, im Lodge Stil. Kayak-Verleih. Alles passt. Frühstück sehr gut und sehr schöne Frühstücksterasse. Sehr sauber. Für Kinder gibts auch ein nettes Pool, vor dem Restaurant. Alles super. Zum Ort ca 3 km.

Is not what I expected to be for the price I paid. I paid for 4 nights $1400 usd and as soon as I got to my room the first thing we saw were spiders, lots of mosquitos and coockwraches inside the room. The room seems to be unattended without being fixed for a while, there were cracks on the walls there was a big gap on the door where I was afraid for bugs to get in in the bathroom the main door was crooked and the shower door was nasty the main curtain was dirty NOT WASH before arrival, the pool towels were very old. The hotel manager said that there is nothing they can do but RAID the room. A total SCAM

Nos hospedamos en el glamping y, en general, la experiencia fue buena. La vista desde la habitación es hermosa y el acceso directo a la laguna es, sin duda, uno de los mayores atractivos del lugar. El restaurante también nos sorprendió positivamente, ya que la comida estuvo muy rica. La ubicación es excelente para disfrutar de Bacalar y, en general, sí recomendaría hospedarse aquí

Hay varios aspectos que definitivamente podrían mejorar. Durante toda la estancia, el aire acondicionado de la habitación estuvo goteando constantemente y el agua caía directamente sobre la cama, lo que hizo muy incómodo dormir. Además, el servicio del restaurante dejó mucho que desear: el personal no fue particularmente amable ni atento, e incluso en ocasiones se sintieron un poco indiferentes. También olvidaron entregarnos las toallas; nos dijeron que las llevarían a la habitación, pero nunca llegaron y tuvimos que ir personalmente a recepción a recogerlas. Finalmente, aunque la zona de la laguna es muy bonita, hay muy pocos espacios con sombra para resguardarse del sol, algo que sería un gran punto de mejora

Hospedagem precisando de manutenção. Deck do píer com madeiras soltas e quebradas, a casa principal com pintura descascando e estrutura velha… Ficamos em uma acomodação extremamente pequena, com pouquíssimo espaço para colocar as roupas e alguns poucos cabides que ficam dentro do banheiro pela falta de espaço.

Wonderful location at the shore of he lagoon.

The property displays itself as a high end accommodation. It states it is a five star hotel. Accordingly charges were double or triple of surrounding priperties. Images on Booking.com do verify thes high end impression. Instead, we found ourselves in a place where the kids refused to sleep or take a shower as everything was so underwhelming, not taken care of and straight dirty. I had to remove mouse droppings from the torn sheets. The 2x3 m pool had murky water in it. I had a SHARED batthroom - not a typicql feet of a five star hotel. The while experience is like a school camp back in the days - and not a good one. Dont expect comfort, dont expect pleasure, dont expect a good time despite of the nice area as you will feel cheated, taken advantage of and most importantly uncomfortable because of the mattrace on the floor that you “sleep” on, the loud music and noises that disturb you. The plastic sheets that are on your bed to assist incontinent guest, even if your not incontinent yourself. Food is basic. And to top it all of of people are impolate, short and have no education in hospitality, which is rare in Mexico. Avoid at all cost. I would have demnded a refund and left the place if only the kids were not so exhausted at arrival. Moved the early morning the following day. Booking.com should remove this establishment from their listing, as it scams people. I am a platinum member and know their offering well. This is a horrible disappointment. I was scammed out of 300 euros for a terrible night with a shocked family.

De kamer is erg verouderd en erg simpel, oude tegels en veel verfspatten. Lokatie is super, restaurant is smorgens pas om 8 uur open. Aangezien onze boottocht om 8 uur begon, moesten we het ontbijt overslaan.

Habitaciones muy viejas, descuidadas, llaves del lavabo oxidadas, no hay T.V. el balcón se esta cayendo, no es lo que ofrecen en las fotos. El trato del personal, el encargado de toallas dijo que no había toallas y que aun que no nos gustará teníamos que esperar a la lavandería, mientras no era su problema.

L'accès direct à la lagune, le prêt de kayaks et paddle, le petit déjeuner à la carte, le jardin et la piscine, les pontons. Je vous conseille les bungalows avec vue sur la lagune, magnifique.

Nous avions un studio ce qui était très pratique pour cuisiner les repas mais la cuisine n'était pas bien équipée (seulement 1 verre, pas de couteau de cuisine, de planche à découper...)

A localização incrível, o pequeno almoço proposto, sítio lindo e inspirador. boas infraestruturas para aproveitar o nascer do sol, bem como o pontão à sombra para ir nadar. Propõem kayaks gratuitamente .

As cabanas não são isoladas do exterior , visto que o telhado é de palha. há muitos animas e insectos que passam para dentro da habitação. Acordamos com 2 lagartos dentro da habitação, e muitos mosquitos. Faz parte da experiência ☺️ mas considero essencial ter pelo menos uma rede mosquiteira por cima da cama 🥲🙏 Havia uma cliente que reservava todos os dias as cadeiras no pontão e as camas a volta da piscina com as toalhas, mas obviamente, não usava os dois sítios ao mesmo tempo😅 seria bom que o hotel instaurasse regras de proibição de reserva abusiva das camas e infraestruturas.

Le grand plus de l’hôtel est son accès au lagon ainsi que sa vue dégagée. Hôtel intimiste, calme, avec tout le confort. Bon petit déjeuner, et nourriture en general. Kayak et paddle inclus.

La chambre quadruple devrait être un peu réaménagée. La musique à fond et jusque 22h du bar gâche le calme du lieu et peut être incommodante pour les chambres situées juste au-dessus.

Het was een zeer ruime, nette familiekamer met een prachtig uitzicht. Het ontbijt was à la carte, en lekker. Het feit dat er ook een restaurant is maakt het echt wel een heel fijn verblijf. Je kan er de kajaks gewoon gebruiken en er ligt een zeilboot die je kan inhuren met skipper. Allemaal fijne extra's. Prachtige ligging vlak aan het de lagune.

La comida muy buena, vista al lago hermosa! El cuarto es muy pequeño, así como el baño, pero si limpio , salvo por el poco espacio de la habitación doble cama queen.

La cama es super comoda, la laguna esta justo al pie del hotel! La comida del restaurante es super rica y lo mejor el personal muy amable!

The staff is very nice and kind, but very slow to bring the food at the table. We really enjoyed Kayak and paddle board available for free for the guests.

Our room didn’t have a long mirror and no hairdryer even though was listed on the amenities of the room.

Las cabañas sin baño muy caras y con el espacio sumamente limitado, no están cerca del centro así que abran de tomar taxis, las amenidades como paseo en bote no manejan promociones o invitan a los huéspedes a compartir servicios 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Le personnel est très accueillant et très serviable. La chambre (bungallow dans le jardin) est simple mais agréable, le petit déjeuner est bon. L'hotel est idéalement situé, face à la lagune, où il est possible de faire du paddle (même si le matériel est abîmé) et du kayak. Les tours proposés en bateau permettent une vue générale de la magnifique lagune et Jonh est un guide attentif.

La parte que corresponde a los camareros descuidada todos al móvil todo el tiempo en vez de estar mas pendiente a los clientes . Pero un tal Mario que trabaja en la zona de tours kayak..... genial super atento a todo

Tout. Le cadre paradisiaque, les pieds dans l’eau et le logement. C’était incroyable!! Le plus bel endroit de mon voyage. Hôtel tres calme plutôt familial avec location gratuite de kayak et paddle c’était top.

Lots of choice for breakfast and the food was good quality.

Poor Value for Money: The nightly rate did not reflect the quality of the accommodations. The "double beds" were undersized and uncomfortable. Maintenance Issues: The whole room is in desperate need of refurbishment. Specifically, the floor tiles were loose (a potential safety hazard) and there was only one available electric socket for the entire room. Sleep Quality: Sleeping was very uncomfortable due to a loud plastic sheet placed under the top linen. Privacy & Security Concerns: My privacy was compromised by another guest flying a drone directly outside my bedroom window. Despite this being a clear intrusion, the staff failed to intervene. I was forced to confront the guest myself to stop the behavior. Summary: I expected a much higher standard for the price paid. Significant improvements in maintenance and guest management are required. Where is the money going to in this hotel??

Supertoll: Der See, der Steg, das Frühstück war das Beste unserer Reise, Kajaks for free. Das Personal war sehr, sehr freundlich. Circa 10 min zu Fuß Richtung Zentrum vom Hotel aus kommt auf der linken Seite ein sehr, sehr gutes, günstiges Fischrestaurant. :-)

Wir hatten das 4er Zimmer im Haupthaus, was leider sehr, sehr alt und unrenoviert ist und überhaupt nicht zum schicken Rest passt. Nach dem ersten Eindruck der Lobby und dem Rest der Anlage bei der Ankunft waren wir dementsprechend unglücklich mit dem Zimmer. Wir mochten ohne Badelatschen nicht duschen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat nicht gepasst. Für uns war es ins Zentrum zu Fuß zu weit (mindestens 30 min) , ist aber empfehlenswert, sich das lustige Treiben auf dem Platz anzuschauen!

I found the staff quite abrupt and not that helpful compared with everywhere else we stayed in Mexico!

The location was great.

We had a loft room and it was basically like a shed on the beach. With 1 cm holes in wooden shutters and a hole in a wall. We didn’t use light in the evening, as we didn’t want to feed mosquitos, that would fly through these holes. The sink was in the room (not in the bathroom). In the morning a strong unpleasant sewage smell came into the room. I hope that the hotel is connected to a proper sewage and are not dumping it to the lake, destroying in a process. If you want to protect this unique place, may be do some more research than I have done. Personally, I felt like I paid $200 to sleep in a shed on the beach with holes in the walls… if we were staying more than one night, I would have asked for a refund or room change.

La proximidad a la laguna. El estar tan cerca de esta hace muy placentera la estadía y genera un ambiente muy acogedor.

Notre lodge été mal placé et étions en bord de route, très bruyant car beaucoup de passage voitures motos etc … tout les lodges ne sont pas placés en bordure de route je pense que nous n’avons pas eu de chances

L'accès direct à la lagune, la propreté, la gentillesse du monsieur à la réception. Un restaurant et des activités gratuites.

La wifi n'était pas bonne dans notre chambre (h15). Le service au restaurant très lent même quand il y avait que 2 tables. Avant mon arrivée et au check-in, on m'a signalé que je ne pouvais pas faire de paddle le mercredi alors que tous les autres clients pouvaient ainsi que les clients extérieurs ... Très étrange. Lors du nettoyage de la chambre nos serviettes de douches propres ont été posées sur les toilettes ce qui n'est pas hygiénique.

El acceso a la Laguna es espectacular. La comida muy buena y saludable.

Bungalow mit Pools liegen in der 2. Reihe, sehr verbaut. Pool war eiskalt, auch die Wärmefunktion brachte nichts. Insofern haben wir ihn gar nicht wirklich nutzen können, was etwas ärgerlich war. An zwei Stellen regnete es leider durchs Dach & Betten hätten etwas größer sein können

I liked that it had it's own lagoon access, guests could use kayaks & paddle boards with no issue, and the breakfast was good. Staff was really nice!

I thought the bathroom of the glamping sites was a little bit closer. It made it uncomfortable to go to the restroom at night. There was "stuff"/dust fallin g from the roof or a/c of the room. So I had to ask for a change of pillow sheets and sleep with my head towards the base of the bed. Also, there was vegetation growing on the inside edges of the glamping(some vine weeds). I definitely think they should give more maintenance to these type of rooms.

La vue, le lieu, le personnel, le fait d’avoir accès à un voilier sur les lieux et les airs communes! Juste wow!

La chambre

Le lieu est idyllique. Nous avons adoré l accès à la lagune avec le ponton, les kayaks et paddles mis à disposition…. C est un lieu magique, un havre de paix !! Notre bungalow était top, spacieux. Le personnel était souriant et serviable.

Notre jacuzzi était à l ombre donc l’eau était assez froide c est dommage de ne pas avoir pu l’utiliser davantage

La cuisine est très bonne. Il y a du choix pour le petit déjeuner et il est très bon et copieux.

Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes

L’emplacement sur la lagune est génial et le prêt de matériel kayak et paddle est vraiment très appréciable ! La restauration est super, du petit déjeuner au dîner tout était excellent et abordable en termes de prix.

Nous étions dans la chambre à 2 lits de la maison principale et c’est vraiment sommaire. Elle nécessite clairement des travaux. Rien que le pommeau de douche qui est totalement cassé serait bon à remplacer… Prix trop élevé selon nous au vu de la prestation.

Clean and tidy. Not too many rooms so the pool was nearly always free also lagoon is a short skip. Pet friendly also and the food is good service was quick and staff helpful

El lugar en las áreas generales y las cabañas es muy bonito, lastima que la habitación doble que pague no corresponde a las fotos, yo pague por una habitación doble en cabaña que son las fotos que vi y me dieron una habitación en 2do piso, muy anticuada no me gustó, las camas era incómodas y en general tenia aspecto descuidado, comparado con el resto del hotel, la regadera, estaba a nada de salir volando y chorreaba agua hacia la taza de baño, lo cual hacia que casi se saliera el agua del cuarto de baño, compartía un balcón con extraños y estaba en malas condiciones, la ubicación es muy buena y las áreas comunes son bonitas, si te dan tu habitación en las cabañas esas si se ven agradables, lastima que pedimos cambio y se negaron. Las porciones del desayuno son muy buenas y esta rico.

L'attente au restaurant que ce soit pour le dîner ou petit déjeuner : 45 minutes pour un guacamole et une portion de frites ! Bruit de la soufflerie des cuisines.

L’emplacement est superbe. Le personnel est gentil.

L’hôtel est référence 5* sur booking, il est plutôt 4. Les installations sont vétustes par rapport aux photos publiées sur booking. Ce sont d’anciennes photos à l’époque où l’hôtel était plus récent sans doute. Ce serait bien que booking mette à jour ses infos. Les toits sont bâchés, l’échelle du « studio » a été démontée … les pontons sont « fatigués » J’avais réservé et payé une activité « bateau » mais en arrivant à l’hôtel, il ne trouvait pas resa et mon paiement …. Finalement le règlement a été retrouvé (car j’ai opposé la preuve du paiement) et on a pu faire l’activité sur un autre bateau. C’est un peu dommage. Cependant nous avons passé un bon séjour.

Magnifique hôtel les pieds dans la lagune de Bacalar. On y a passé un très beau moment. Nous avions une chambre un peu excentrée mais ce qui nous convenait très bien pour que bébé fasse ses siestes. Resto très bon et personnel adorable. Pratique de pouvoir prendre un canoë sur place.

Tout était parfait ! Un hôtel intimiste et familial Le cadre est exceptionnel, le lever du soleil est un spectacle à ne pas manquer Prêt de kayak et paddle gratuit, excursion en bateau depuis le ponton de l’hôtel avec supplément Petit déjeuner très bon et varié, restaurant et bar le reste de la journée très bon aussi Le personnel est aimable et disponible

Personal unmotiviert und unfreundlich. Allgemeinzustand der Anlage eher schlecht. Grösstenteils renovierungsbedürftig. Personalräume für schmutzige Wäsche, usw, für jedermann zugänglich. Diese könnte man leicht unsichtbar machen mit ein bisschen Motivation. Viel zu teuer für das was geboten wird.

El desayuno es regular, ubicación excelente, podar los árboles para tener una mejor vista, me hospede en el estudio superior que tiene una terraza superior sin muebles y la parte de arriba del baño para salir a la terraza superior nunca las asearon. el paseo en velero esta fabuloso y la narrativa de la laguna del capitán Alejandro es muy buena, los aperitivos que ofrece el viaje en la laguna ricos y necesarios.

La comida del restaurant no tiene sazón y limpieza a la laguna frente a la casa bacal.
