Visité el B&B en un día de tormenta por un huracán y llovió muchísimo. Aunque no pude disfrutar lo suficiente de la playa ni de la cena por el clima, disfruté muchísimo del viaje porque los anfitriones me recibieron con gran hospitalidad y calidez. Recomiendo este B&B con toda confianza y sin duda volveré cuando regrese a San Carlos. Gracias de nuevo, Cecilia!

Cecilia was amazing! Fantastic host and so pleasant to chat with. It’s a very cute bed and breakfast and a great deal.

Loved our server. Everything was fresh. It’s a light continental breakfast, but totally sufficient. Jams were homemade and terrific. Coffee drinkers liked coffee too. If you drink black tea, bring it. Not widely available.

We were totally happy. Our host and hostess were exceptionally friendly and helpful, but some restaurant recommendations fell short.

The reviews were accurate, lovely rooms, peaceful setting, relaxing pool, a great breakfast with an inviting host at a good value.

Beyond what I expected. Such a gorgeous B&B with the sweetest host. I love everything about this place. AC, clean and large rooms, great atmosphere.

This place is a gem. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast, hacienda style. Easy parking. The location is at the only country club in San Carlos. Safe, gated community. The golf course directly behind it (it is on the 8th hole) is going through changing hands and is in a pretty much unusable state. But that doesn’t detract from the charm and beauty of this place. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in San Carlos.

We were only supposed to stay one night on Thursday before checking into our Airbnb on Friday—but Casa Magdalena was so incredible that we checked out of our Airbnb just to spend our last night there on Sunday. The peaceful, intimate setting, delicious breakfast, and exceptional hospitality from Cecilia and her husband made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

What a find ! This place is a gem ! Sooo beautiful, peaceful, clean, and safe with gracious hosts and healthy, yummy continental breakfast. And regular hearty breakfast, if ordered night before with small extra charge. Small refrigerator kept our drinks cold for entire stay. Pool so clean, but we were there when air temps were not real hot. Gas fireplace for the cool evenings. Mattress so comfortable, I slept better than I have in months. Felt like our own vacation home ! Exceptional, special place.

Casa Magdalena was an incredible place to stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The rooms were well-appointed, and the entire property was clean, beautifully maintained, and inviting. As a solo woman motorcyclist, I especially appreciated having a safe and easy place to park my bike—a detail that made my stay even more relaxing. From the very start, Cecilia’s attentiveness stood out—she made the booking and check-in process smooth and seamless and continued to ensure I was well cared for throughout my stay. Her warm hospitality truly made the experience feel special. The location was another highlight, with everything I needed just a short walk or quick ride away: grocery stores, the beach, shops, and great restaurants. After a day of exploring, the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind—a wonderful added perk of staying here. Breakfast each morning was delightful, and the overall atmosphere was one of comfort, convenience, and care. Whether you’re looking for excellent service, thoughtful amenities, or a central location, Casa Magdalena is an outstanding choice.

Beautiful house in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated (+ soft towels, linen napkins, complementary wine, robes and slippers). Morning yoga class included and was fun for us beginners. The staff warmed the jacuzzi for us and we really enjoyed it, it went well together with the cold pool. A total spa experience. A coffee station with snacks were provided, and the staff welcomed us inside for breakfast due to the relatively chilly mornings we had in November.

The breakfast is minimal and chilaquiles, for instance were offered for additional fee. However, they made very tasty chilaquiles. We experienced a mismatch in communication regarding food allergies, we were told after reservation that they would accomodate to our needs, yet when we arrived there was very little flexibility regarding our allergies. On a positive note, we were offered more allergy friendly items for breakfast as time passed, which made us very happy.

Casa Magdalena is absolutely a hidden gem in San Carlos! I am A single woman that drove down from Arizona with my dog and even before I was on my way, we had communicated over the phone so I felt a sense of security. Cecilia greeted me as soon as we arrived and from there on it was just a perfect experience. My dog was more than welcome and they were very few guests so it almost felt like I had the place to myself. Even decided to spend an extra night because it was so relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommend this beautiful oasis in San Carlos.

It was such a beautiful place! The rooms were comfortable and pretty. There were places outside to sit, the pool was refreshing. The breakfast was delicious!

We loved Casa Magdalena. The owners Cecilia and Michael are awesome. Their recommendations made our weekend. When staying there you have to try the huevos rancheros for breakfast.

We've traveled all over the world and stayed at all kinds of places and this is a top tier B&B easily. Check in was a breeze, there's dedicated, protected, off-street parking, hosts are fantastic, very accommodating and super buena onda. The place is gorgeous, its a true hacienda style house and with a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and rooftop deck with a hammock what more could you want? They serve you a light free breakfast by default but you can order more complete dishes a la carte at very reasonable prices. The place is located pretty much in the center of San Carlos but just far enough off the main road where outside noise doesn't keep you up at night. All this for a price we couldn't believe the value here is insane. We'll definitely be back

Hosts were welcoming and helpful. I arrived a day early and it was easily managed by Cecilia and Michael. The ambience is heart-warming, The breakfast was a good start to the day. Jessie prepared breakfast and her smile was a warm greeting to the day.

Cecilia is the sweetest and kind host ever!, the place is lovely with all what you need to have a peaceful time surrounded by the sound of the water from the fountains and the beauty in the garden. She offers a yoga practice in the morning, she’s an amazing instructor also.

Everything was great! The rooms are exceptional, the hospitality is great, there was protected parking, and breakfast was lovely. We were sad to leave!

It was such a pleasure to stay here on our roadtrip. We wished we had more time and will come back if we can. Room was.spacious and felt luxuriously appointed. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Super comfy bed, chairs in the room for reading, our own little patio area.in the big courtyard. Really quiet and very secure. I loved soaking 8n the hot tub after long days on the road. Great continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola,.and artisanal bread. And hostess Cecelia was so welcoming!

I would highly recommend this to someone that is looking for a nice and safe place. The pool is amazing facing the view on the mountain in the back. The jacuzzi was great for the month of March and breakfast was great!

Casa Magdalena is an oasis in the desert, literally. Inside all is green and peaceful with a small pool for cooling off and a nice hot spa for warming up. It's only a few minutes walk to the main drag and maybe 15 minutes walk or a short taxi ride to the marina area. Michael and Cecilia are wonderful hosts, happy to help and offer suggestions. We stayed in the larger room and loved it, but the other 2 rooms are very nice also. There are cute decorative touches in the rooms and all over the property. Breakfast is light, French style, with excellent coffee, fruit salad with a bit of yogurt and granola, and a bread or roll. They will make much more substantial dishes for breakfast if you want, for a reasonable price--and given that it isn't so expensive to stay here, I had no problem with that. We were always up for eating lunch and dinner at the dozens of great restaurants and taquerias in San Carlos so we didn't want big breakfasts anyway. We came to San Carlos with some friends who rented a house nearby, and they were jealous when they saw our place. If we come back, this will be our first choice for accommodation.

Cecelia was a fabulous host, she communicated with us prior to our stay to ensure we had check in instructions, the property is peaceful and quiet. She also woke up early to make me a pot of coffee ahead of breakfast as i'm an early riser. Thank you!

It’s an exceptional place - beautiful outdoor and indoor space with newly updated bathrooms. This is an incredibly quiet place to relax and the owners and staff are all charming, helpful and fully invested in doing whatever it takes to make their guests happy. Breakfast is included; a light meal with toast or bread, a small bowl of fresh fruit, OJ and coffee. For an extra $200 pesos per person, one can request a delicious cooked meal like Huevos Rancheros, an omelet, Chilaquiles with fried eggs and others. The property is adjacent to the golf course and has a very pretty garden with a fire pit, hot tub and swimming pool and a pretty little fountain. We could not recommend more. We actually stayed an extra night on our drive down from the US because we felt so safe and rested after our first night. There is secure off street parking available.

Hotel Casa Magdalena is located inside the gated country club community. There is a gated area for your car at Hotel, Casa Magdalena. The bed was comfortable the perfect linen, the bathroom with large roommate, and also had Decorative towels. The grounds are colorful with flowers sparkling pool, and a fabulous, hot tub, relaxing. The hosts. Cecilia and Michael wear warm and welcoming and so gracious I recommend highly this place every time you go to lovely San Carlos. I’ll be going back. Oh I want to Save the breakfast is excellent delicious fresh orange juice from the trees on the property

Beautiful tranquil setting with a lovely pool and the mountains in the background. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms and settings. Close to local restaurants and convenience stores. The highlight for me was the amazing owners and staff. From the moment I walked into the doors of the property Cecilia made me feel welcomed and at home. Her and Michael really made the stay perfect for me with their exceptional hospitality and for being such wonderful people. I’ve been in Mexico for 4 months and this was one of my two favourite stays throughout the whole trip. Thanks for everything!

Staying at Casa Magdalena was a delightful experience we highly recommend. The grounds and home are lovely, including a large pool and spa for just three rooms, in the Country Club residence area. Provided continental breakfast was delicious with other options available. The hosts, Cecelia and Michael, were super gracious, friendly and helpful. Relaxing and comfortable are key descriptors for our experience with their large hacienda style home and generous hospitality, beginning with welcome glasses of wine and orientational conversation before finding our way to separate guest rooms. This B & B is only a couple of years old and will not long be one of San Carlos' best kept lodging secrets.

Es la primera vez que nos hospedamos en el hotel y fue una estancia extremadamente grata, desde el recibimiento por parte de la Sra. Cecilia, quien es una excelente anfitriona, el lugar lindisimo, súper limpio, tranquilo, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días de lo mas agradable.. definitivamente se convirtió en nuestro lugar preferido para llegar todas nuestras próximas visitas! Recomendadísimo!

Excelente estancia! El trato de Cecilia fue impecable, es lugar es hermoso, relajante. La habitación muy cómoda, bonita, limpia, cuenta con privacidad estacionamiento ahí mismo. El área común bien adaptada, hicimos uso del asador, alberca, jacuzzi cuenta con una terraza que da muy bonita vista al campo de golf. El desayuno delicioso. Super recomiendo Casa Magdalena.

Camino muy complicado de lo cual no se me avisó, ya que la dueña realizó una reubicación y no aceptó enviarme fotos, la vista y el lugar están excelentes.

I ran into a problem with the reservation that didn’t show up until I arrived. The host could not have been nicer or more accommodating in making other arrangements at a property they had nearby. I highly recommend this B and B for those coming into San Carlos. This property is not on the beach it is in a golf course community near the beach. They also have beach rental if you inquire.
