This property was not good for three reasons. 1). I prepaid for the room and was forced to pay again on arrival. I came back shortly with three different documentations proving that I had already paid for the room. The response I got was if I didn't like it, take it up with booking.com, so I did. After I brought it up with booking.com, their attitude changed. It was a hey, can you do this for us? I straight up asked them to reverse the additional charge to my credit card and all I got was excuses why they couldn't do it. 2) The room was extremely worn and didn't come with advertised.amenities. 3). The night before I left, I asked them to book me a taxi for the morning which they said no problem. Guess who didn't book a taxi.

El lugar es tranquilo, comodo y con excelente ubicación.

Los colchones del estudio ya estan algo desgastados. Aun son funcionales pero ya se siente. No habia tv x cable como se menciono. No tenia control la tv para ver apps. Y el baño no tenia luz. Se reporto pero no se atendio.

This property needs an owner who cares enough to fix many serious deficiencies throughout the property, the rooms are extremely dated, our fridge was covered in rust, inch wide cracks on the frame of the patio doors, the AIr Conditioning never worked, we complained every day to no avail, the staff would say yes we’ll take care of it , but nothing was done. I can only presume that the owner has directed the staff to keep smiling, keep stalling, just keep telling us that it will be ok, and hopefully you give up and shut up. Again, a very nice staff that obviously have no power to implement anything, let alone get someone to fix anything.

Loved how closse we were to open market , great restaurants close. Pool is great temp and inviting. Service staff was fantastic. A little more English would help.

I was sure I booked a 1 bedroom not a studio. Nothing in the room coffe pot friddge etc. They did let us use their fridge so it worked out well.

The staff were very accommodating...the initial room had an issue with the water in the bathroom...they provided me with a second room which was an upgrade.

Unfortunately...water here in Bucerías for some is at a premium. Many require water deliveries daily..I've stayed at this hotel a few times..and all three times, they have sent me a message later in the evening saying they are experiencing water issues and that it will be restored in the morning. The infrastructure here hasn't kept up-to-date with the demand and it is unfortunate that the hotel cannot keep up with their own water supply...either with a cistern or other means of storage.

It is central to lots of eating options and also a 5 min walk to the beach! It is a small boutique hotel so you never feel it’s among too many people. Private pool for the hotel guests with loungers and tables with umbrellas to sit at.

Some of the rooms could use some updating in the bathroom/shower situation and also the kitchen.

The staff were excellent, and the pool area was lovely. The location was also excellent, right in the heart of the golden zone.

The junior suite was very dated. The fridge was full of rust, the kitchen and furnishings were very old, and the tv was the size of a computer screen. I would not recommend staying for any length of time.

Location was excellent! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, Centro etc. Lovely pool with tables, chairs, loungers to relax. Unit 15 had nice patio with furniture & view of and easy access to pool which was a huge plus. Great housekeeping staff kept room nice and clean daily. Was handy to have refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room.

Bathroom is very small and could use some simple updates to make it attractive, I.e. replace old sink cabinet, repaint walls AND remove paint splatters off the tile floor, install soap/shampoo holders and safety bar in shower. No screens on sliding glass door so can’t get any FRESH air without letting mosquitos in, therefore there was a smell of mold present, which we noted that our clothes in the suitcase absorbed the smell after we got home. Mexican artwork on the interior walls would really make the room more attractive, and add a couple chairs inside (there were none).

Great location near restaurants, speciality stores, small well stocked grocery stores and the beach.

The kitchen could have included a better assortment of plates, bowls, wine glasses, silverware and pots and pans.

The pool area is lovely and the very new bar and its staff were excellent

The rooms, particularly the bathrooms were very tired and in need of updating. When we booked it advertised a roof terrace but this was closed. The key to our room was very temperamental and on one occasion we, nor the reception staff could get into the room!

The pool, the first week was good. The second it was not circulating or cleaned for 4 or more days! This is not acceptable. Do they take regular water tests? Lack of care. I felt it was a health risk. The one day I swam with my head in the water I was a little bit sick through the night. Hard to say if it was because of the swimming pool or something else. I like to get a place with a kitchen so that I can control the little bit of my diet restrictions that I have. I'll spend two weeks in Bucerias but I will be in Mexico for 4 months. The kitchen was not equipped to do any great meal prep. I boiled water. The pots are ruined as the Teflon coating is peeling, no lids. There's no cutting board there's no kitchen knife, serving spoons or flipper. Microwave doesn't work. The beds are Mexican hard ones which is okay as I'm a back sleeper. The sheets are cotton which I would expect at any Hotel. The towels are getting very worn the first ones were rough. There's no chair or table in my room. 1 chair and table outside my room as well as a nice couch and coffee table. For the early mornings and later in the evening it would be nice to sit inside to eat, write or have tea where the bugs don't bother me. The cleaning products are highly fragrant which is a debilitating problem for some people. One day bleach was used or spilled in the room. The smell was so strong my eyes were burning. The floor was re-mopped once I notified the service desk. My room was main floor off the pool. The facility has great potential or at one time was top notch. For the price I expected a functional kitchen and a pool I can swim in daily without worrying about my health. As a lifeguard in my youth I know a lot about pools and health regulations.

The bedroom was almost perfect. TV didn't work, and they did little about it. The front desk was pretty indifferent overall.

Room was great ! Clean and had hot running water . The only issue was the parking . They have no parking spaces , it’s a street parking and first come first served . I didn’t like that at all . East beach access if you don’t mind walking about 1.5 blocks .

Location location location.

Had stayed at Palmeras previously in a lovely studio suite that opened to a patio and the pool and thought that was the room I was booking. On the site, I was able to indicate we wanted a ground floor room. On arrival, we were shown to a tiny room on the second floor with just two beds, on the back of the hotel. We requested to upgrade the room but the hotel was operating just a few rooms in summer and nothing else was available. Folks, check the options carefully when choosing a room here. Regular rooms are barebones, street view, choose the suites instead. My fault, I didn’t check the listing of rooms closely enough to see I had chosen a regular room vs the patio suites. Staff were lovely, just couldn’t help with no other options available. Recommend the hotel… just not the regular rooms.

The front area with bar, sitting area, bakery and front desk were all nice. Pool area was also good. Although some deck boards need to be replaced. Location was convenient for most places.

Flat out, the room was completely warn out. It's in dire need of renovation and updating. Kitchen pots should be thrown out and replaced. The walls were frankly disgusting. Covered in dirty hand marks and squashed insect splatter.

perfect property and we loved it. The staff was terrible. Dumb rules and we left 4 glasses and a spoon and they wanted to charge us 200.00 Cdn or US ( not sure)

We were given 1/2 L of water in a bottle when we checked into our room. When we asked for a refill, they said “no”. Could we get some ice? “No”. There is no fridge, microwave or coffee maker in the studio rooms. Or any kind of drawers for clothing. A only one small one under each bed.

Pool was great and warm ! Towels provided on chairs . Staff very friendly.

I had a kitchenette but it was so poorly stocked. No condiments, not even salt and pepper. No lids for the cooking pots, no oven. I cooked rice in a frying pan without a lid. I had to ask for a toaster, hairdryer and coffee pot. The hotel ran out of water every few days so I couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. I understand this is an older hotel in Mexico, but for the price I expected more. There are no view of the ocean but the balconies look out on the pool. There was a lot of noise and constructions as they are building newer condos and hotels nears by. I could see the ocean from going up on the roof but there was not shade in the area. The staff was very kind and efficient the pool and room clean. I had a good stay. Lower your expectations if you plan to stay in this hotel.

We liked the location,the pool area, the staff and the rooms housekeeping. We were very disappointed with our accommodations. We didn't like the constant moldy smell which lead to sinus and chest problems; odors from the shower drain with no sealed off drain top, no drinking water, 3 mornings without any water; continual dripping kitchen faucet; no hair blower. Upon request; a room safe, a toaster, edible kitchen utensils, and a cooking pot with lid were provided. Our 2 week stay cost us $42,000 pesos in cash, up front. We knew that a refund would not have been a consideration, so we stuck it out. Booking through Expedia we thought we were guaranteed good accommodations but we were wrong.

No breakfast included. I didn’t get the best price. Other people told me they got 4 nights for 100$ less with another booking co. There really are not many extras here for a double bed room. No mini fridge or microwave. Pool super! There is a small restaurant within the entrance area and coffee. Very pretty place . Extraordinary location.

Better arrangements for putting your clothes saw as there was no closet and need fridge and microwave. That would be the standard that exists in USA and Canada.

Was a good stay. Very clean and friendly helpful staff. Older hotel so it needed a bit of work. Only downfall was no running eatrr so the water would run out until water truvk came. Close to everything amd lots of restaurants.

The property was tidy and pleasant to walk around. The roof-deck was clean and relaxing to enjoy the sun and warmth. The BBQ area is a great idea.

The bed frame and lack of air passing between the floor and the mattress needs serious attention. The stale air coming up from the sides of the mattress is of old wood smell.That smell permeated our clothes, books, and most items we brought home to Canada I washed the clothes, aired the books but the smell remained.Some items we had to throw out.Please replace the wood and drill holes along the bed frame for aeration.The lower terraced rooms have the most dampness. Fans did not help.We originally booked for a week, a top floor unit but were put in the terraced shaded side.

We Weren’t able to get the room we usually have 😥which is a junior suite. Our mistake in booking. Entirely our mistake 🫢not the Hotel’s fault at all. The room we stayed in was immaculate however not what we wanted.

We needed to book a last minute stay for one night. We arrived and were very happy we chose this hotel. Super clean and updated perfectly. We will definitely be back and book a longer stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and close to the pool. The only issues I had were with the key to my room. It was hard to lock and unlock the door. They also had an issue with water on several mornings.

the room was noisy they have a coffee shop/bar right outside our room and every morning they set up the tables at 7;00 waking us up Also in afternoon they had loud not very good music right outside our room The headboard was attached to the wall poorly so every time you moved in the bed it banged against the wall There was no fridge or coffee maker and no toilet paper holder just a roll on top of tank not easy to reach I tried to change room but was told none available even though hotel did not appear to be busy

Check in - it took 20 minutes for someone. to receive me in to the hotel. I was at the front desk and ringing the bell..finally a gentleman arrived and looked disheveled as if he'd been sleeping. This was around 6:30 in the afternoon. I had previously messaged the property to indicate that I'd be arriving around 7:00 pm. The property has been recently renovated...room 1 was very nice and clean. Unfortunately I received a message early in the morning stating there was no water. I had just used the bathroom and couldn't flush the toilet or have a shower. I checked out at 11:00 in the morning and the water truck had just arrived.

The pool area is very nice.

Our studio was nothing like a studio as we call that in Canada. No kettle, fridge or anything of the sort. Our windows were 2 feet from a brick wall. So basically no fresh air.

Beautiful location very close to the beach, dining, shopping. We enjoyed a gorgeous corner suite next to the heated pool. Stunning view of the ocean from the rooftop lounging area. Staff was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!

The wifi didn't work. The water stopped. The room didn't have any utensils, cooking pots, etc

The out side was nice, pool area is nice and the staff try their best. The kitchenette is in rough shape, the utensils are disgusting, and only a pot with no lid and fry pan. The place definitely has potential but it is not worth the price they are charging, until some work is done on the place.

Perfect location. Very clean. They ran out of water every evening and would not get their tanks refilled till at least 9 AM so you could not shower or flush a toilet and no back up restroom facilities.

The staff are awesome. The coffee place inside the lobby was great and very convenient. The location is very central, and you have a huge array of restaurants all around you. Walkable. The bed was very comfy. Very clean place. Beautiful pool.

The only thing that bothered me was the water shortage in the area. Absolutely not the hotels fault. But I felt really bad for the cleaning staff having to deal with gross toilets because it couldn't be flushed..

We had a junior suite which included stove top, full size fridge, etc. etc. Very large open concept room with king bed. Bathroom was good too. Accommodations are old but pretty much excellent. The pool and lush gardens were beautiful. Very quiet and relaxing even though on Main Street. Restaurant food and staff excellent as well as hotel staff especially Antonio!

The room was not what I had booked at all. I booked a room with a kitchenette and the room had nothing not even a coffee pot, was supposed to be a pool view we had a view of a retaining wall 1 foot away from the window and the staff could do nothing about it because I had booked a studio and this was all that was available. I blame booking.com for this error as this is not what a studio comes with and their booking site had the wrong information.

The morning girl at reception was absolutely delightful. She communicated enough English that we understood each other. Very willing to help.

The Hotel Palmeras entrance and pool courtyard asthetic is stunning. Very clean property. Staff are very kind. As a solo traveler I felt peace and calm here. My room had everything it needed. The view from my room was breathtaking. I love listening to the waves as I go to sleep Thank you Hotel Palmeras. I hope to return soon

On arrival the debit machine wasn’t working . We tried 4 different cards & nothing worked . It was a day or two later that we finally had someone get that sorted for us .We didn’t have water at all for 2 days , then no hot water . Finally on day 4 we were able to have a hot shower but only late in the afternoon. There wasn’t a coffee maker , the microwave didn’t work, the tv remote was dead , the wifi was horrible . I asked the front desk if we could get a coffee maker as some rooms had them. She said “ I don’t know “ The room was extremely dirty . , especially the bathroom. The bathroom sink didn’t have running water the entire time . It was disgusting ! It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed . I hope they will renovate the rooms and provide their guests with better service in the future .

Suite Patio ocean Veiw nice / non working kitchen,fridge leaked on floor, microwave didn’t work,stove didn’t work,no coffee maker,no hot water until complaining was acknowledged the property is fairly rundown. It’s a nice location that needs some major TLC.
