Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war einfach wunderschön und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar noch übertroffen. Das Zimmer war wirklich ein Traum – unglaublich schön, sehr gepflegt und absolut sauber. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Jeder war jederzeit herzlich, hilfsbereit und hat dafür gesorgt, dass unser Aufenthalt etwas ganz Besonderes wurde. Ich hatte vor unserer Anreise in einer E-Mail erwähnt, dass wir während unseres Aufenthalts unseren Jahrestag feiern. Als wir im Hotel ankamen, war unser Zimmer so wunderschön und liebevoll dekoriert, dass wir wirklich überwältigt waren. Diese Aufmerksamkeit hat uns unglaublich gefreut und unseren Jahrestag noch besonderer gemacht. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und können es wirklich von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt!

Der private Pool im Zimmer war für unseren Geschmack leider etwas zu kalt, sodass man nicht besonders lange darin verweilen wollte. Das Frühstück war zwar sehr lecker und die Auswahl wirklich groß, allerdings hätten wir uns persönlich noch etwas mehr typisch balinesische bzw. indonesische Speisen gewünscht.

Breakfast was lovely, a lot of choice, if anything too much food. But the staff made the experience most special. The local of the dining room was beautiful. Loved all the fresh fruit. All cooked food was very well prepared. As I have said the staff were very special, in no particular order Chandra and Ade in the dining room and at reception was Anggi, Puspa and Diliah, but the housekeeping team even though we did not know their names and other team members such as Wira (our driver) were superb as well.

In our room, the curtain were a bit worn for the class of suite were staying in, Otherwise all very good.

We absolutely loved our stay here and would happily return. The value for money was exceptional, especially considering the quality of the rooms, onsite restaurants and level of service. The staff truly went above and beyond throughout our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, always greeting us with a smile, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They even organised our scooter hire, including delivery and collection, which made getting around incredibly easy and convenient. The free massage was spectacular and such a wonderful inclusion. Breakfast also far surpassed my expectations, and we loved sitting at the bistro each morning with the beautiful view. The location worked really well for us. We hired scooters, which made exploring the surrounding area easy, although I don't think the location would be quite as convenient if you were relying entirely on a car. For us, though, it was perfect. What we particularly loved was how quiet and romantic the resort felt. It was a wonderful contrast to the busyness of Ubud, while still being well placed for exploring. Overall, the combination of beautiful rooms, excellent food, fantastic staff, thoughtful extras and peaceful atmosphere made this an exceptional stay. We couldn't have asked for more and would absolutely recommend it.

Temporary issues only - the resort is upgrading so access to the gym was not ideal and there was some construction noise during the day. This didn't bother us at all.

The resort is beautiful, in an excellent location close to central Ubud while still surrounded by nature. The room was spacious and stylish, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were consistently kind, attentive and professional. Andre, the Front Office Manager, made a genuine effort to listen to our concerns and assist us.

During our stay, construction work was taking place within the resort, and the noise could be heard from our room during the day. We also experienced limited lagoon access on a couple of occasions due to a technical issue and a photoshoot. However, once we shared our concerns, the management team was very understanding and genuinely did everything possible to improve our experience.

Cet hôtel est relativement haut de gamme et placé à 30 minutes à pied du centre. Il se situe au sein d'un large parc avec des Rizières et une vue sur la jungle avec piscine à débordement et coucher de soleil absolument magnifique. C'est peu commun sur Ubud. Les chambres haut de gamme sont très belles, très grandes avec même un grand écran de vidéoprojecteur intégré qui peut descendre afin de se faire une soirée home cinéma. Le personnel est très gentil et aux petits oignons avec tout le monde. Nous avons eu un souci lors de notre séjour et les managers ont été très professionnel pour le résoudre merci beaucoup. Le restaurant de l'hôtel permet de manger de la nourriture locale ou occidentale comme on peut en trouver dans les grands hôtels. Pas de surprise c'est fait pour plaire à tout le monde. Au final vous ne serez pas déçu c'est un très bel endroit relativement calme par rapport à l'agitation de Ubud et vous pouvez quasiment tout faire à pied y compris la forêt des singes qui est à 5 minutes.

Wir hatten eine Villa mit Pool, der Blick auf die Reisfelder war wunderschön und hat zum entspannen eingeladen. Ebenso war die Lage für uns top, sehr ruhig und in nur wenigen Minuten war man zu Fuß im Zentrum.

Two current building projects provide noise on/off during the day - so not always quiet & peaceful. We were not notified of this when booking, however, hotel acknowledge this with a sign apologising near entry to restaurant. Rooms spotless/housekeeping & all staff excellent- staff really go out of their way to help. We had a serious issue in our villa & Ketut, the manager, personally came to our room to apologise. We were given another villa for duration of our stay & were much happier in 2nd villa. Breakfast is included & includes a wide range of Western dishes. Food is excellent. Restaurant serves Italian cuisine at dinner & my husband ate the ragu one evening & said it was delicious. Would highly recommend Kaamala - you won’t be disappointed.

The brand new pool villas are absolutely gorgeous, however, there is no outdoor space - at all - to sit - therefore, when not in the pool, you are in air-conditioned room & it’s a bit like being in a tomb after a while. You can swim & sunbathe at the main pool, but the point of getting a “private” villa is to swim & sunbathe privately. New villas also have a large step down to bedroom & are not suitable for older couples. Older (& better, in our opinion) villas are on one level. Also, there was no Balinese food on offer. Would have loved a Balinese breakfast. However, hotel is currently completing new restaurant which will offer Balinese cuisine. This will be a great addition to hotel, which already owns the Japanese restaurant next door.

The apartment and pool were amazing. Clean and modern and the location was fantastic.

The apartment was near the monkey forest which we knew about but didn’t expect the monkeys to be lined up at our pool on return from breakfast 😂. There was also work going on which we didn’t know about but it was ok because it was through the day when we were mostly out and about. One bad thing was seeing 3 rats very close to us in the dining room. Staff did get rid of them quickly but this was not the best for a dining area. The dining room though had amazing views over the forest. It definitely was not worth the money we paid but I do realise that they are extending the property which may then be worth the amount in the future.

Staff without exception friendly, attentive, courteous, keen to do anything asked of them., but not well trained or coordinated.

Facilities desisgned for appearance not function - eg reading lights impossible to read by; uncomfortable chairs; pool lounges with sodden cushions after rain; pool that flooded the outside area and sometimes under the door to the room itself, toilet door that jammed fingers; door between outside area and room that locked if closed; no protection against monkeys, which limited use of outside area; a 'kitchen' with very little crockery or cutlery (and one wineglass!) no utensils, no microwave; insufficient space in restaurant for buffet breakfast; limited breakfast menu; incomprehensible room service menu (and what appeared to be very high prices); lots of rules (and notices about rules); unappealing/limited 'spa' facilities, and options for, eg, yoga, tai chi, pilates etc; no business centre;.limited transport services to central Ubud.; rating form that uses my name/nationality.

I really enjoyed staycation in this resort. The name of it is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Kamala’, meaning lotus flower - a symbol of purity, balance. So they met us with a warm welcome in Balinese panganjali greeting. Resort has a great location near main attractions such as Ubud Palace (1.6km) and Monkey Forest Ubud (6-minute walk). We stayed at stylish and classy ‘Suite with rice field view’. I was in love with mix of modern style and natural wooden elements in design. Btw the room is not only beautiful but ‘smart’: Alexa helps to control lighting, music and ambiance via voice commands. Instead of TV you will find here a projector. There is a water dispenser which is so convenient. Here I saw one of the most beautiful infinity pools in Bali with stunning 180° panoramic jungle view. Technically resort has several pools so everyone will find a spot to chill and swim. We were swimming in the main pool in front of the restaurant. One disadvantage is noise because of constructions in hotel. And you hear it in the pool. We had daily delicious breakfasts at ‘Habitat’ bistro. Restaurant has a great menu with many options of the main dish, additionally you will get fresh fruits, bakery, tea / coffee, juice. Additionally you can order floating breakfast to get amazing pictures and videos in infinity pool. We liked it too. There is a modern gym, thoughtfully designed and framed by calming views. Hard training people can enjoy fresh fruits in the gym. Resort has daily complimentary shuttle service to visit Ubud center (only 10 persons are acceptable per trip). But we couldn’t use it (because of some special day drivers didn’t work at 5pm, so double check on reception if you plan to use shuttle).

A beautiful hotel with gorgeous views from the restaurant and pool area. Lovely, luxurious rooms with ample amounts of space. What really makes this hotel is the staff - they were so kind, friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful stay!

L’emplacement

Tout d’abord, la chambre était extrêmement humide et donnait vraiment l’impression d’être dans un sous-sol. L’hôtel présente cet étage comme le « rez-de-chaussée », mais dans les faits, la chambre était quasiment en sous-sol, ce qui la rendait sombre et particulièrement humide. Il y avait également une odeur très désagréable au niveau des toilettes, comme si aucun produit désodorisant n’était utilisé lors du nettoyage. À cela s’ajoutaient des remontées d’odeurs d’égout provenant de la douche, ce qui était vraiment gênant. Par ailleurs, des travaux étaient en cours dans l’hôtel pendant notre séjour, générant beaucoup de bruit dès très tôt le matin. Globalement, beaucoup trop de détails sont négligés pour un établissement qui se présente comme un hôtel de luxe. Le concept et l’image peuvent donner cette impression au premier abord, mais lorsqu’on regarde les détails et qu’on vit réellement l’expérience, la réalité est malheureusement bien différente.

Perfect location, in the main area, but still silent. Its restaurant is one of the bests in the city, we didnt want to go anywhere else :) The breakfast menu is perfect! The staff was very friendly, nice and helpful.

Our room’s furniture was not the best if you want to see TV, and the bathroom is too opened with the glasses.

The resort was beautiful and so was the rooms and amenities. The staff was wonderful and polite throughout our whole stay. We got massages included in the spa which was lovely and the food at dinner and breakfast was also good. Great location also, very close to monkey forest and all other shops and restaurants. Worth a visit.

My friend Claire and I stayed at this place and love everything about it! We had a private pool, a projector in our room, and even a bath tub outside that could be used as a hot tub. The staff made us feel so welcomed and they were so helpful with anything we needed! They also have a partnership with jungle club so we got free access to that which was amazing! They have a great driver called Dewa that made our excursions seamless and perfect providing water and taking pictures and explaining the culture. I will miss this place very much! Until we meet again ❤️ oh almost forgot the foooooood for the free breakfast is amazing! I will miss the poached holidainse eggs!

Our stay at Kaamala Resort Ubud was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The entire resort is peaceful, stunning, and perfectly maintained. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options prepared just the way we wanted. It was truly one of the best breakfasts we've had. What made our stay even more special was the exceptional staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. A very special thank you to Lia and Rita, who were always so caring and attentive. Their kindness and dedication made us feel truly at home. The hotel is lovely and in a good location, but there is building work going on at the hotel which we were not informed about by the hotel before we got there ( we booked direct with the hotel). If sat by the pool all you could hear was drilling and workmen were welding overhead as we walked to and from the pool so not very relaxing, which was a shame as the pool area and view is stunning. Our room was beautiful but I am not a fan of a glass toilet door! Breakfast was good and the monkeys that visited your balcony on a morning were fun to watch. I am sure this hotel will be lovely once the work is done but it would have been nice to have been notified and offered to change hotels.

Shout out to the reservations team and management at Kaamala Resort Ubud, especially Ms. Sri and Ms. Ratih. Due to medical reasons I needed to reschedule my booking and these two staff went above and beyond to accommodate my request. I found their communication to be both respectful and empathetic to my situation. I cannot recommend this resort enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Kaamala. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was seeing monkeys right from our room's balcony. It was such a unique and unforgettable experience, adding a special touch to our time at the resort.

Great experience at Kaamala in a room with a private pool! All the staff were gracias and kind, including (but not limited to) Mirah, Dewa, Ade, Wida, and Agus. We enjoyed the trip booked through the hotel and were able to see many sites and a beautiful sunrise. Recommend staying here for a kind and relaxing experience. Also do the yoga with Wida— she teaches well and then takes lovely photos at the end!

We arrived tired and exhausted after a long journey and discovering our credit cards were missing just before we left Australia. We left just two days later feeling serene, happy and peaceful because of the wonderful care we received from the every person who cared for us at this very special hotel. Not one exception. We enjoyed two great morning yoga classes with the lovely Wida and one of the best massages I have had at any five star hotel in the world from the talented Ayu ( I may have spelt that incorrectly). I would come back again and again for her massage and Wida’s yoga class alone. The hotel is undergoing some new facilities being built at the rear which Agoda had failed to mention however the staff made up for the Agoda mistake with their kindness and high level of service. The new facilities look wonderful and will be completed soon and I can’t wait to return for much longer next time.

Our stay at Kaamala Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. The pool and a tub within the room was great.

The traffic on the road leading to the hotel was mostly jam and narrow. The restaurant where breakfast was served is a long walk down from the room we stayed.

The biggest highlight is the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making every interaction a genuine pleasure. Their hospitality truly stands out. The villa was very clean and well maintained. A fun surprise was the daily visit from a few monkeys. They would stop by our villa almost every morning. They were harmless and entertaining to watch, but it is important not to leave food or personal belongings on the terrace and to keep the room door closed. The shuttle to central Ubud is convenient, although the road to the resort is narrow and often busy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We booked a One Bedroom Villa with Private Pool and a rice field view. The room itself was comfortable, although a bit smaller than expected. One thing future guests should know is that privacy can be limited, as there is often activity in the neighboring rice field area, so we found ourselves keeping the curtains closed most of the time. The main area where we felt the resort could improve is breakfast. It is served à la carte, which is understandable given the limited restaurant space, but guests are allowed to choose only one main dish from a fairly small menu. You also receive a small fruit plate selected by the kitchen, without the option to choose the fruits yourself. We would have appreciated more flexibility, even if it meant paying extra for additional items. Being limited to one dish, one pastry, one juice, and one coffee felt unnecessarily restrictive for a resort of this category.

We had a mixed experience at Kaamala. We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't ready yet so we headed to the restaurant to grab something while waiting for the room. This is when we found out there's a massive renovation at the hotel premises, right next to the restaurant. The scenery would've been picture perfect, but we couldn't really focus on that as the renovation is loud. This is exactly the kind of place you come to escape such sounds, not eat to the beat of hammering and angle grinding. Once we finished eating our room was ready and someone took us there. Another disappointment struck as the room was right next to the restaurant and the renovation. The room itself was nice, but we could easily hear the renovation sounds in our room. They start early and continue late. There were people at the site after dark and we woke up to some hammering at 8 in the morning. But after this comes the positive. The staff is super attentive and friendly. They handled the situation as well as you can. The next day they moved us to a new upgraded room for free, closer to the reception and away from the renovation sounds. After that we didn't hear a thing anymore. They also agreed to deliver the breakfast as room service for free because we really didn't want to go back to the restaurant anymore. After this our stay was perfect. Overall the staff was incredible and helped in any and all ways possible. I think the owners/management should consider being more open and transparent regarding the renovation. Maybe offer discounted prices or temporarily close the rooms close to the renovation until it's over. Expectation management goes a long way in these matters. So if you're going I recommend you ask beforehand if the renovation is over or not.

The location was PERFECT, rooms were AMAZING, staff were EXCEPTIONAL. I could not fault the Kaamala Ubud. We woke up to Monkeys and squirals on our balcony and a beautifuljungle setting. The breakfast and massage was incredible. We can't wait to come back.

Absolutely everything was exceptional and mind blowing. The staff always used our names, they treated us like Royalty, we felt very special and famous. The rooms were so beautiful, spacious and well appointed. Location was perfect. Very quiet but so close to central Ubud. 10/10

I had a bad situation one day before our check out. I spent all day out, when i came back to pack up and organise my things I realised somebody had stolen my money from luggage. The zipper was broken as if someone had opened it but couldn't close it. It was missing $1.000.000,00 Rupiah from my money . I have reported to the manager on my check out.

Nothing, everything was really great and more than expected!!

The room was beautiful and very clean. All staff were excellent and very kind and attentive. Lia and Dia were fabulous and made a great impression for the resort.

Minor thing but the room is more designed for couples with clear glass on the shower and toilet. But didnt really impact our stay negatively (just used the Alexa to distract abd play music)

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön, der Pool ist einzigartig und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und haben einen wunderschönen Ausblick.

Leider erweitert sich das Hotel gerade und nebenan ist eine Bausstelle. Die Arbeiten laufen durchgehend und man hatte den Lärm durchgängig gehört.

The staff were very attentive, always checking in to see if there was anything we needed. Housekeeping were lovely also. We had an early check out for our flight out of Bali and staff even put together a breakfast to-go box for us - we felt so looked after.

Super friendly and professional staff. They really truly care about your experience and you can tell from the little things they do or remember about your wants and needs. We love seeing the monkeys coming past the villa everyday! Breakfast is delicious and the spa has tremendous masseuses, Dewi and Putu were amazing!

We just had an amazing time from the room, to the support of the staff. The bed was huge and the room quite modern. The reception helped us a lot with our next accommodation as well. We also saw some monkeys and the restaurant was also very nice. The first day, we had the Rejuvenate Package with Yoga, Meditation, a massage and spice bath. It was really amazing!. The next day we had a 6 hour trip around Ubud with Dewa. We visited the coffee plantation, the Suwat waterfall, the Pura Tirta Empul Temple and the Tegalalang rice terraces. It was a beautiful day. Dewa was very kind and gave us a lot of information about the culture and the religion. It was one if the best stays we ever had.

Only the drain system of the shower at least in our room was not working properly, so it flooded if not showered fast enough. But this was the only little issue. Other than that, perfect 👌 The reception tried to organize a fix directly.

Very comfortable villa with a beautiful private pool. The included breakfast was from a delicious range of options. Also had a fantastic complementary message

We had an amazing stay at this resort. The luxury service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, warm, attentive, and highly professional, always making sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Everything was perfect and truly high-end. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options, and the view overlooking the jungle was absolutely stunning and unforgettable. This resort offers a real luxury experience in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We highly recommend it and would definitely come back again.

La gentillesse du personnel, la beauté des chambres

Le bruit des travaux, le fait qu’il y est un rat sur notre terrasse, nous n’avons donc pas pu y retourner du séjour, c’est dommage, nous fumions devant la porte de notre chambre, le petit déjeuner n’était pas bon et offrait un choix limité pour les personnes vegan
