Il n’y a pratiquement rien à dire ! Si je devais vraiment relever 1 point : l’insonorité des chambres qui n’est pas totale, nous entendons nos voisins parlaient dans leur chambre ce n’était pas très agréable au moment de dormir

Le personnel et l’ambiance de la Quinta étaient très agréables. Très beau jardin, belle piscine et excellent petit-déjeuner. Grande chambre, très confortable. Présence d’animaux (chèvres, poules) très mignons.

L’odeur d’humidité présente dans la salle de bains et dans la chambre.

Het personeel was super. De dames waren ontzettend behulpzaam en kwamen snel naar je toe als je iets nodig had. Het ontbijt was super en de accommodatie met de dieren gaf een leuke vibe. Je krijgt een gratis flesje cider met een snackje van de host.

Er stond dat de kamers geluiddicht waren, maar wij hadden wel last van gerommel in de avond en vroeg in de ochtend van andere kamers en de gang. Er was ook niet echt een kast om je spullen goed uit te kunnen pakken.

De locatie. Er is in de directe omgeving niwr veel te doen s avonds. Weinig / geen leuke restaurantjes. S avonds was er geen personeel waar je een drankje kon bestellen. Een van de kamers rook muf naar schimmel.

It was set in beautiful gardens and the area owned by the property was very extensive. Our room was in a good location on the ground floor overlooking the swimming pool.

I had no water in the toilet over the last staying night, which was someways inconvenient to me.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk, het ontbijt had een zeer ruime keuze en de locatie dicht bij Funchal en andere plekken was top.

Een fantastisch verblijf in het groen. Hier vind je op Madeira echt de rust. We hebben enorm genoten van de heerlijke service, het zalige zwembad en het lekkere ontbijt.

You could hear everything through the door.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Man war für sich in der traumhaften Anlage mit Pool Sauna und schönem Garten. Ein Restaurant war über eine Treppe schnell zu erreichen. Besonders gut war Frühstück. Es wird von lieben Menschen alles frisch zubereitet und ist qualitativ hochwertig. Es fehlt an nichts..

Een fijne locatie met een fijn ontbijt. Er was een speciale kamer met een bank en een vuurtje, waar je ook kon zitten. Het ontbijt was heerlijk.

De kamer was aan de kleine kant voor twee personen en een grote koffer. De kamer werd elke dag schoongemaakt, wat fijn was, maar op een gegeven moment hadden we wel last van mieren.

Un lieu absolument exceptionnel, comme il en existe peu. La Quinta da Moscadinha est un endroit authentique, chargé d’histoire, qui réussit parfaitement à préserver son héritage tout en offrant une expérience moderne, confortable et fluide. Avec seulement 11 chambres, l’atmosphère est intime, sincère et profondément apaisante. On se sent accueilli comme à la maison, avec un service client remarquable, attentif et aux petits soins du début à la fin du séjour. Un merci tout particulier à Liane et Andreia pour leur service. Le cadre est tout simplement paradisiaque : une végétation luxuriante, une ambiance exotique, un calme ressourçant. Les équipements (piscine, sauna, cheminée) sont parfaitement intégrés au lieu et invitent à la détente. Le petit-déjeuner est un vrai moment fort : des produits frais, de qualité, préparés avec soin. On sent l’attention portée aux détails. Mention spéciale également pour l’environnement : la présence des animaux ajoute une touche vivante et authentique, et les possibilités de balade sont idéales (levada accessible à pied en quelques minutes). Enfin, le restaurant juste au-dessus, Adega Do Pomar, appartenant au même propriétaire, est un vrai plus : cuisine traditionnelle, simple, très pratique après une journée d’exploration.

Très honnêtement, peu de choses à relever. Le seul point à noter concerne l’insonorisation, qui peut être légèrement perfectible, ce qui reste tout à fait compréhensible au vu du charme et de l’ancienneté de la bâtisse. Cela n’enlève en rien la qualité globale de l’expérience, mais peut être bon à savoir pour les personnes particulièrement sensibles au bruit.

Breakfast was fine though nothing to write home about.

Coffee making equipment was atrocious and the staff were a bit bossy. Bread ran out and I was told that it wouldn't be replaced for 30 minutes. When I helped myself to a new side plate from the cupboard, I was told rather firmly that should ask for a new plate next time.

Stedet, god atmosfære, frokosten, rommet hadde en meget bra dusj. Hyggelig velkomst og nære til en trivelig lokal restaurant. Hun som jobbet ved vår ankomst var vennlig og imøtekommende.

Kaldt ved frokosten, litt kjipt dem ikke fyrte i den pene vedovnen.

Mooie ruime kamer. Goed bed. De woonkamer was ook zeer gezellig met de open haard. Ook in de ontbijtruimte waar een zeer lekker ontbijt geserveerd werd.

Enige minpunt was de reuk in de badkamer. Rioolgeur. Er was ook een plaatje in de vloer waar water naar boven kwam. Ook liep er constant wat water in de wc, wat maakte dat er om de zoveel tijd opnieuw water in het reservoir liep. Vervelend ‘s nachts.

Bardzo przytulne miejsce, pokoje niewielkie, ale wystarczające. Bardzo przyjazna i pomocna obsługa.

Cisza, spokój, personel na najwyższym poziomie, dobre śniadania i piękne otoczenie.

Brak klimatyzacji. Z uwagi na problemy z ogrzewaniem dostaliśmy grzejnik, natomiast lepiej by było gdyby była klimatyzacja.

Het was perfect. Leuke kamer, super vriendelijk personeel, top ontbijt. Je kan er na een lange dag heerlijk bij een openhaard zitten of aan het zwembad. En ze bieden een Apple Cider proeverij aan, wat super leuk en goed verzorgd is. Het restaurant is ook fantastisch.

Het is een prachtig hotel! Een mooie, rustige locatie, weg van de drukke steden (zie wel minpuntjes). Het personeel is super maar dan ook echt super! Elke dag je kamer schoon. De woonkamer is ook echt heerlijk met elke namiddag/avond de open haard aan. Het beste ontbijt die we gehad hebben op Madeira was hier en je kan ook een omelet of scrambled eggs krijgen. Ze hebben een sauna waar je gebruik van mag maken.

Geen airco, in alle andere accomodaties waar we hebben gezeten was dit wel en ik vind het toch wel echt een must. Ondanks dat is er wel een ventilator en sliepen we met het raam open. Het is echt heel gehorig, helaas kan je daar natuurlijk niet veel aan doen maar boek een kamer boven als dat kan. De locatie was rustig, maar je zit tussen de bergen waardoor het weer (bij ons in oktober) veel regen was, ook was het zwembad niet verwarmd.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten in het restaurant boven was heerlijk, evenals het uitgebreid ontbijt. En het ontbijtpakket wat ik mee kreeg toen ik op tijd weg ging. Goed voor elkaar. Daarnaast erg te spreken over de hygiëne.

Het is een super mooie plek midden in de drukte. Maar vanuit de kamer weinig verbinden met buiten helaas.

Ëen rustige prachtige omgeving. Een warme ontvangst met een rondleiding. Geen vraag is teveel. Op de kamer stond een fles cider te wachten die ze daar zelf brouwen. Een restaurant vlakbij. Het ontbijt was lekker. Een aanrader!

Heerlijk ontbijt! We keken er elke ochtend naar uit! Mooie tuin en zwembad waar het ontspannend vertoeven was. Vriendelijk personeel. Parkeren mocht bij het restaurant van de buren, wat makkelijk was.

In de badkamer hing een vieze en nogal overheersende geur. Het vuilbakje in de badkamer was nog niet leeggemaakt van de mensen voor ons.

They serve a variety of tropical fruits at breakfast and the ambiance of the restuarant is quiet and quaint.

if you drive to there, don't fully trust the google map, the hotel just literally behind the restaurant. the best way is park in the restaurant first and walk to the hotel and check in.

Super vriendelijke personeel, op een heerlijke locatie in het groen.

Erg gehorig pand dus zorg dat je een luxe kamer hebt op de 1e verdieping! Helaas geen airco aanwezig.

Het is een mooi verblijf. Bij aankomst werden we netjes ontvangen en de kamer zag er mooi uit. Het ontbijt was geweldig.

Echter komt dit voor ons niet in de buurt van een sterren hotel. Het personeel was aardig maar totaal niet actief of behulpzaam. Bij het ontbijt liepen ze 's ochtends in joggingsbroeken en ontvingen ze Snapchat meldingen met het volume op 100. Dit vonden wij niet gepast. De kamer heeft geen fatsoenlijke plek om handdoeken of zwemkleding te laten drogen.

Een prachtige locatie met een schitterende tuin en zwembad. Alles is met veel smaak en oog voor detail ingericht. Daarnaast zijn de mensen ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij – wij voelden ons meteen welkom. Een echte aanrader!

Wat een paradijsje. Na het verlaten van de autoweg rijd je naar beneden en kom je aan bij dit verscholen verblijf. Het ligt op een mooie locatie, heeft een heerlijk zwembad en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Veel lof voor het vriendelijke en vrolijke personeel. Wij hebben heerlijk geslapen en het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Echt een aanrader om even jezelf in wat luxe te dompelen. Het verblijf heeft naast het zwembad ook een klein saunaatje in de tuin.

La Quinta était si charmante ! Très végétale et si belle avec toutes ses fleurs … Un petit havre de paix ! Tout était très propre ! Le personnel toujours adorable. Le petit-déjeuner très garni et quel bonheur de le prendre le matin dans le jardin avec le bruit des oiseaux. Plein de belles attentions courant notre séjour (mention spéciale point le jus de fruit et les gâteaux apportés à la piscine chaque après-midi). Un matin, nous n’avions pas la possibilité de prendre le petit-déjeuner car nous faisions une randonnée tôt et on nous a apporté un petit-déjeuner trop mignon à emporter ! Enfin, la Quinta est proche de tout, 15min de Funchal en voiture, très pratique pour y aller dîner (même s’il y a un restaurant à 2min de la Quinta pour les personnes qui le souhaitent).

Le seul (petit) défaut s’il faut en trouver un est le l’aboiement du gros chien qui aboie dès qu’il y a un passage, cela est parfois peu agréable lorsque l’on se repose à la piscine. Mais cela reste tout à fait supportable !

L'humidité dans les chambres. Le bruit des voisins.

Ottima struttura, la disponibilità del personale, accogliente e ospitale. Un ringraziamento allo staff che tutti I giorni ha curato la colazione e le nostre necessità. Carina la gallinella con i pulcini che giravano tra i tavoli della colazione. Accoglienza super, camera dotata di acqua e bottiglia di sidro della casa.

Il cane che disturba la quiete e che a mio avviso non può coesistere in un ambiente in cui si va per rilassarsi. Per altro a mio avviso risultava pericoloso nel caso uscisse dalla gabbia.

De kamer was zeer klein en kon moeilijk gekoeld worden. Ook hadden we de pech dat er 2 van de 3 nachten veel nacht- lawaai was in het dorp.

Die Quinta liegt sehr versteckt und romantisch im Grünen. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und es wurden auf Wunsch Eierspeisen frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Bett war sehr bequem.

Uns hat im Zimmer ein Kleiderschrank gefehlt. Wir waren dort 7 Nächte und es gab nur eine Kleiderstange.

Ontbijt was fenomenaal! Nog nooit zo een ruim en vers assortiment gezien! Heerlijk genoten elke ochtend.

Een klein puntje van kritiek is geen airco, maar er was wel een ventilator ter beschikking dus dat was goed opgelost.

Superbe accueil, décoration charmante,authentique et lieu paisible. Nous avons très bien été accueillis par l ensemble du personnel avec une visite des différents lieux et modalités de l établissement. Le personnel est au petit soin, professionnel et à l écoute de nos besoins et questionnements. Plein de petites attentions qui font de ce lieu un véritable cadre de repos et décontraction. Un grand merci aux deux dames du service qui nous ont accueilli qui étaient adorables !

De accommodatie is zo feeëriek als op de foto’s. Het ligt in Camacha, dus heel rustig, maar perfecte locatie om alles vanuit te ondernemen.

Sfeervol. Behulpzaam personeel. Lekker ontbijt. Fijne zitkamer. Dichtbij is een leuk authentiek restaurant “Casa Nostra”, waar je tussen de locals zit. Als je een fles wijn bestelt, krijg je er een broodplankje bij.

De standaardkamer is echt veel te klein als je meerdere nachten blijft. Geen kastruimte.

The directions for reaching the hotel parking can be a bit unclear. Advice for any future travellers: when you turned right at the gas station, its just one left turn and keep going forward. You will reach the parking!

I had a wonderful stay! The place is absolutely beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. The apartment felt quite new and well-maintained. The breakfast was indeed fantastic, just as promised. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was a bit humid, but there was a dehumidifier running automatically, which helped. Also, the location of the room within the building was somewhat noisy at times.

Our stay was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The lounge and honesty bar created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Both the room and bathroom were spotless. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff and the owner. Their genuine hospitality made all the difference, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. If you’re planning a trip and need a perfect one-stop base, this hotel is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

A beautiful house, sumptuous décor, and friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts, and the restaurant above the hotel was excellent. They also have two restaurants in Funchal, one of which we visited for NYE and it was very good too. (and gave us the guests' discount despite us already having left the hotel). We particularly enjoyed the comfortable lounge with a raging log fire in the evenings.

Worth noting that Camacha is 2000 feet up from the coast so the temperature is 4 degrees cooler than Funchal. There were no takers for the pool between Xmas and New Year!

Moist - in the first room we didn’t have dehumidifier and we weren’t aware we can ask for one. We also didn’t have a heater there so we couldn’t dry any clothes. Our first room was very small and we couldn’t even open the door as our bag was there.

Quinta da Moscadinha is a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary.The house itself is lovely and despite its age is very comfortable. The garden and pool are great for relaxing after a day of activity. The Quinta is a good location for accessing hiking trails at Pico do Arieiro, Sao Lourenco and Larano as well as the airport.

The animals, the bed was very comfy, parking on site, plenty of sun loungers, coffee available during the day. Room was clean & tidy.

The shower would flood into the bathroom, no air conditioning. On our first day the breakfast was quite empty and wasn’t being refilled. It would be nice if there was a fridge in the rooms to keep drinks cool.

The property is very charming and quaint. My room was very clean and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

This was a really cozy place, with good atmosphere and very nice staff. It was like an oasis for itself a couple of hundreds meter from the road. Make sure to visit the Snack-bar O Girinho for some beer and good atmosphere. Cheap beer and excellent staff!

A hidden gem away from the noise, amazing staff and great breakast. Do not forget to try their cider as well!
