Reviewed May 31, 2026The host was friendly, welcoming, and did everything possible to make sure we had a comfortable stay. I loved how the historic building was retrofitted with modern touches. This would be a good place to stay if you are making a day trip to Monsanto.
The street is so narrow, we worried we would scratch our compact rental car. We did find parking within walking distance.

Reviewed May 14, 2026Naprosto výjimečné, pohodlné a velmi čisté moderní ubytování v nádherném středověkém domě. Příjemný a velmi ochotný majitel , který nám udělal k večeři chutné sendviče, když jsme zjistili, že kvůli našemu pozdnímu příjezdu se už nikde ve vsi nenajíme.
Líbilo se nám úplně všechno.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026O peq. almoço foi muitob om, correspondendo às expectativas. A localização é muito pitoresca e tranquila e o funcionário da casa era extremamente simpático. A limpeza estava num nível excelente e o quarto, mesmo sendo simples era bastante confortável.
A insonorização do quarto podia ser um pouco melhor mas ainda assim não complicou a estadia. Também acho que o pequeno almoço podia ser mais alinhado com a gastronomia local e aí passaria de muito bom a excelente!

Reviewed Feb 11, 2026It's a beautiful historic building renovated very nicely. I was in winter time and the airco unit doubles as a heatexchanger/heater. Even with 3 degrees outside the room was very comfortable. The bed's are good for your back (I came in with backpain from the busride to Portugal) and after 1 night of sleep it already became better. So it's a firm and good matras, likewise the pillows. Wifi was good (140Mpbs). Breakfast also nice, coffee, orange juice, homemade jams (try the carrot Jam!) , different deli slices (meat and cheese), cereal and yoghurt options also available. The host was very ammendable as well.
I have to be really picky, but the door to the balcony can not be closed from the outside, so if you smoke outside and don't hold the door it can get inside. The soaps provided felt kinda cheap (still functional though). In the morning it could be a bit chilly in the dining area (only in the early morning, and the heater was on, so during the breakfast the temperarure already settled).

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Dit was echt leuk. Vanaf de buitenkant kun je niet zien hoe leuk het van binnen is. Lieve mensen, die alles doen om je het naar de zin te maken. Fantastisch ontbijt. Leuk balkon waar je nog lekker kan genieten van een mooie avond. Ruime kamer en badkamer!
Het was wat lastig om in de avond ergens te eten.

Reviewed Nov 7, 2025We were so glad to have discovered this gem! We selected it because the location fit our itinerary and the price was very good. On arrival we were treated to excellent service (the owner standing out in the road holding an umbrella for us to unload the car!), and a lovely selection of snacks and wine at very reasonable prices. The historic building has been lovingly restored and has beautiful views from the sunny balconies in the morning. Very comfortable, very good breakfast.
