A very comfortable hotel with exceptionally pleasant staff
I wanted a bit of space in the room so booked a family room which I felt was rather expensive.
Great food, attentive staff and comfy room
The staff the restaurant all exemplary. Downstairs is smart and chic. Great idea for the water & milk station .
The bedroom & ensuite are tired and in need of a refurb .
Room 9 could do with some sound insulation between the ceiling and Flor above , fooot traffic is very noisy .
Lovely property in great location
Na
Very friendly and helpful staff, good food, pleasant dining area and a classy bar. Very good location with some great views. Comfortable bedroom. A very pleasant 2 night stay.
The single bedroom was a little on the small side and the shower was a bit hit and miss and rudimentary. Otherwise all good.
All staff were very friendly, and the variation of complimentary drinks were appreciated.
The room was a little tired, but there was plenty of space and the dog bed and goody bag was a nice touch.
Cosy country pub . Comfortable room , great food available. Good base for hiking . Good value for money .

Loved our room and stay here. Evening meal was amazing. Breakfast was very tasty. Im gluten free and felt very safe with eating here. Coild not have been any better. would definitly stay again. Thank you all for wonderful stay.
All food was excellent and the room and facilities were very good
All good
This pub is in an excellent location, just a short walk to Settle. The breakfast service and food were lovely. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel. The beer was good.
The room was warm, and the decor in the room was a little tired.
Lovely stay and excellent dinner and breakfast.
I booked it as a surprise for my husbands 80th birthday ( yes I did let the hotel know) and although the position was good and the beer garden was a definite asset (because the weather was wonderful) and the breakfast was good, in my opinion (sorry) the hotel needs a deep clean and refurbishment. Our room (5) was adequate, but after staying at other hotels in the area was not up to standard for what we paid. The bathroom door was a pain to close because it didn't fit properly 😕 🙃 but again, it really needed a deep clean. !!!
The decor, carpets, decorations etc need some serious upgrading. I found it a bit strange that although the kitchen was open til quite late you couldn't get a sandwich after 5pm !!!. I did voice my concerns to a lady after breakfast, but although she agreed with some of what I said she did inform me that the hotel was always full, but she would pass on my concerns to the owners.
Friendly staff, the room was large and clean. We asked for a takeaway breakfast while was not an issue for them. We ate at restaurants in the evening the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent breakfast and lovely staff member who served Location was good for the purpose of my visit. Bar and restaurant area was pleasant.
The room was the last one available for the date I needed. It was a 'family' room with a double and a single bed. Crumbs not cleared from bedside table when we first arrived. The bathroom needs a refurbishment- stained walls, cracks, generally not of a good standard. For the price paid it was poor value for money.
Staff were very accomodating to our additional needs (wheelchair user) and even re-arranged furniture for access. Very much appreciated. Food also very nice!
Bit noisy from upstairs. But i understand it is a pub.
Licatio excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent
Lovely room, comfy bed and a good shower. Breakfast was great with a selection of fruit, yoghurt and cereals followed by a cooked breakfast. Staff were freindly and helpful, we turned up early as we were attending a wedding locally hoping to get changed and maybe leave are bags but are room was ready which was brilliant.
Everything was great, can't fault it.
Good location in Giggleswick and close to Settle.
Bathroom needs updating.
Location, friendliness of the a.m dining room member, engaging in conversation whilst deliveringva good service. Other staff seemed unintereted in engaging in friendly talk.
I was put in Room 9 which is in the pub/inn's basement, beneath the bar/dining area and kitchen. The basement conversion whenever carried out did not allow for soundproofing. There was a constant noise from folk above the room walking in hard shoes on bare floorboards above which prevented me from resting in my room or concentrating whilst working at my laptop in the room. I did get up and complain to the day staff who in fairness did offer to move me but as I was there for only 1 night I chose instead to bear it out however, I would definitely not stay there again and would advise anyone allocated a room in the basement No.s 9 & 10 to decline and request a different room. The solution is low cost and would only involve lowered ceiling, plasterboard and insulating material. And tgat from a nationally ceetifiedv design engineer!
A beautiful room with lovely views out Spotlessly clean & comfortable The staff were very engaged & very polite Although we only stayed the one night it was a very welcoming & relaxing break A thoroughly recommended establishment & we are planning a return with the family but this time we would stay longer
Great room well proportioned & spotlessly clean Great views over the heart of the village from our room Fabulous food both evening bar meals & morning breakfast Fabulous welcome & lovely staff throughout our stay
Nice pub / restaurant with some rooms. Could store my bike in a shed.
Stopover break between locations. Lovely welcoming team, excellent dinner and breakfast in a homely and individual bar/restaurant.
All good.
Restaurant was great
The location, the friendly pub atmosphere, the lovely food. The staff were all amazing.
Small room for the price.
The hotel has a nice homely feel to it, with a great bar and dining area. Great meals, in particular, a generous breakfast included with our stay. Convenient parking. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Hotel rooms are light, airy, comfortable and clean, and with tea, coffee and bottled water and juice available.
Breakfast
Could smell the drains when using the shower

Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. It was great to have a fridge too. Dinner was extremely good, the menu choices were interesting, and our food was prepared and presented beautifully. Our waitresses were engaging and chatty.
The room we had was beautifully furnished but had no window that opened and given the heat wave we're enjoying it would have been good to have been able to open a window during the night.
Clean, spacious comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food.
A fantastic hotel and restaurant, nice view out of the window. All the meals were excellent and would definitely recommend eating there.
The room was a little bit tired.
Lovely hotel, perhaps slightly overpriced for the facilities available. A chair in the bedroom would have been nice. Food on offer was very good both at breakfast and dinner.
The overall stay was nice and only a few minutes from where we were attending a wedding, the food was amazing and the manager was very friendly and helpful
Our first greeting wasn’t to friendly off the bar staff when we were trying to check in, we didn’t feel comfortable, but the following day was much better, also we could hear a lot of movement from the pub upstairs, it wouldn’t put us off staying again though.
朝食がとても美味しくお部屋も素敵でした。
Great staff, excellent food and drink and great location. We liked the beer garden.
Room a bit “tired” and therefore slightly overpriced.
Friendly, attentive staff from checking in to leaving on all areas. Fab location, easily walkable to Settle in 10 minutes Sunday Roast amazing, lovely beer garden, great views. Our room std double comfortable & clean. Tray for muddy shoes is a good thing too. Great rear car park as well.
Think the space in std double which is cozy & clean, makes it limited but would prefer a small hanging rail instead of 9 small drawers & a hobbit cupbard for hanging clothes& nowhere to pop toilet bags in bathroom. Wouldn't stop me staying again for sure.
Friendly and very welcoming and catering for all requirements
Lovely atmosphere great food and drinks
Food was really good. Breakfast had the usual selection of cereals granolas and fresh fruit/yoghurts. Hot food also available including full english, and various egg dishes. Quality excellent!!
We stayed at the hotel as we were attending a wedding in Settle just a stones throw away. We were given room 8 a ground floor room at the back of the hotel. Very comfortable, and clean, but not overly big. Main criticism was the draught blowing through the door. A draught excluder would be useful. I would not want to stay in this room mid winter!!!
The location, staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely beer garden, quiet room and comfortable bed, food and service very good
Bathroom shower room dated and grouting black with dirty radiator
Had a lovely stay; bed was really comfy food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Clean room Helpful and friendly staff Great breakfast
No lift
A nice old-fashioned charm in a beautiful setting, I loved having a bathroom with a proper deep bath rather than a pokey shower, and the views were stunning. Our bed was clean and comfortable and the room facilities were good. The bar/restaurant area served well-cooked modern British meals, with pub grub options. It's an ideal base for exploring the area and I would happily go again.
Nothing.
We stayed here to do the Yorkshire three peaks which was 10 minutes away. The staff were so lovely, all of them were smiley and couldn't do enough for us.
The room was quite cool.
great location. Food was lovely. Nice friendly staff.
room was tired as was bathroom . Needed a facelift .
Lovely stay. Pleasant and helpful staff, great breakfast and having a fridge with complementary water, juice, and milk for your morning tea and coffee was an added bonus. Will definitely return.
It was all perfect
Friendly staff, small but perfect for my needs single room, great breakfast, fabulous beer garden with sun all afternoon/evening
Nothing
Evening meal was delicious, staff were friendly and breakfast was good.
Bedroom and bathroom were dated, functional but felt expensive for what you got.
Nice friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Very tired room, felt like it needed a good dust and clean. Very old bathroom, low pressure in shower. Held together by layers of silicone. Main bar and dining area felt dated and in need of refresh.
Location great for exploring and quiet, it’s 10 minutes walk into the main town , friendliness of all the staff nothing was too much for anyone from the moment we walked in to leaving . Excellent breakfast and dinner was lovely.
Think they have the offering spot on 👍
Staff were helpful, the room's shower was really nice, warm bed, good WiFi that was easy to connect. The pub itself is quite nice, quaintly appointed, in a location that is visually interesting; beer garden too. I just found myself staring at the clocktower and the hills reaching over the trees. I had the breakfast included - Amazing, exceptional full English. They serve meals until 9pm, if I stayed longer I would definitely give their menu a try.
Low ceilings, mind your head. The bedside clock shone really bright, it was like trying to sleep with a night-light, so I had to turn it off. Obviously given that it's a pub, you're gonna hear some noise at night, but I have slept in much quieter places. The walls must be thin because I could hear the people next door snoring. It's a tad on the expensive side. I stayed for a night in May 2026 for £143, a pint of Birra Moretti was £6.50 - All the other guests seemed to be couples, so perhaps that would be better value if you're coming here.
Great location
Room was a little tired looking but still comfortable
Lovely position, excellent food and friendly staff
Showers were a bit on off
The staff were all brilliant and the food superb. The communal fridge with water milk and juice was a nice surprise. The room was a fair size for a single, and had a pleasant view out over Giggleswick.
The free breakfast was very good. They provided both cooked and continental breakfast.
The bathroom had a slight sewage smell when we first arrived. We opened the window and it was fine after that.
Second stay here. Had dinner in the restaurant, excellent. Room was great and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Good shower, comfy bed and plenty of room. Breakfast was very good. The staff here are wonderful. Good pint of Landlord at the bar.
The room was comfortable and clean. Great to have a little fridge in the room The location was great The breakfast was very good Lots of choices
I didn't like having to go through bar when we arrived that's just me we were very tired and I don't like pubs much.
Lovely breakfast served by lovely staff
It is always spot very clean food excellent and the staff absolutely fantastic
Property was well maintained and cosy just as we like, log fire was put on during the afternoon and a few locals frequented the bar. Breakfast was included and there were a nice choice if you didn’t go for the full English. After going out on the many walks around the area and a walk around Settle, we came back and chose to eat our evening meal at the hotel and again not disappointed by the menu and the quality of the food (really nice). Room had plenty of space and en-suite, bed comfy, we enjoyed our stay.
Nothing to report on the property itself, everything was catered for.
The breakfast choice was good and tasty, but quality of toast let it down, we did have both brown and white. The room was lovely, very clean, lovely views out the window. Soft mattress but was a very comfortable bed and we both slept well. We had a meal in the bar on arrival, was very nice and well presented.
Only thing we felt that let it down was very thin tasteless toast. Expected it to have been as good as all the other food. Shower was a little temperamental but managed it in the end!
Love this place having visited last year we have returned and found it just as great as last time.
Nice and clean and friendly staff!!
Staff were friendly Excellent breakfast Fantastic beer garden There are 2 renovated rooms that are fabulous. Mother in law stayed in one ☺️
Very dated room however staff informed us a renovation is coming 🎉
Beautiful building, really lovely, helpful and welcoming staff. Room was great value, a bit dated & nothing fancy but what we needed for a night. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. If we come to Yorkshire for another fleeting visit we would definitely stay again.
Lovely cosy bar, great staff, friendly locals
Great hotel, our room bathroom could have done with a tidy up, peeling wallpaper
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food evening and breakfast. Prime location for rambling and enjoying the Dales.
Bathroom sealant needed some attention.
Th location the staff and the food
Nothing. Was lovely
All the staff made us feel very welcome. Lovely atmosphere in the bar area. Food great - we had dinner and the breakfast was yum. The room was clean and spacious - brew facilities. Short scenic walk to shops and bars. Dog bed provided. Really enjoyed our stay.
Bathroom needs a refurb.
Location, staff and food
Have stayed here before, ideal location for Settle Victoria Hall… Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.. Complimentary items in fridge on corridor a nice touch.. Although the room is a little dated & tired, it’s very homely.. Breakfast was good Won’t hesitate to stay again
The room wasn’t checked after our first night, the drinks weren’t replenished & the bin wasn’t emptied.. Only a minor issue as we always make our beds & leave it tidy
The room and bathroom was spacious. Quiet too. Beds comfy, I slept well. Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly. Having milk and juice available in a fridge near the room was handy. Lovely evening meal. A ten minute walk into Settle.
Just a few little things which weren’t a big issue at all. Bathroom was a bit tired. Wardrobes needed straightening up.
Big, comfy spacious rooms, 2 dog beds with a goody bag laid out for both dogs, everything was clean, food was to die for, lovely staff, great location - everything was great! The free bottled water was also a lovely touch (from someone who struggles with tap water). Incredible hotel.
Friendly staff. Exceptional location and great food
View over Giggleswick from my room. No noise from the pub downstairs. Good location and base. Clean.
Lovely area, couldn’t fault the staff. Accommodation clean, comfortable and with private entrance.
Beautiful country pub in a beautiful location. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Just stayed the one night, wish we could have stayed longer. Will go back.
Good location, nicely furnished.
X
Well maintained good food brilliant staff.
Everything was great - friendly staff, clean room, delicious food, great atmosphere. A delight.
I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in the Yorkshire Dales, Settle. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Excellent location. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good facilities. Great breakfast choices and excellent food available in the evening.
The dog friendly room that we had did not have any windows so it was a little stuffy during the night. This meant that our sleep was disrupted slightly but it wouldn't put us off staying there again.
lovely place to stay in a quiet little village plenty of parking food lovely staff very friendly had a lovely room with our own fridge with complimentary water juice and milk very dog friendly and plenty of public footpaths to walk the dog the school playing fields gives the dog a nice walk even has a stream running through it and if you go left at the church there is another bridle path that takes you to a park where you can let dog off the lead you also get a dog bed provided and a complimentary doggie treat bag looking forward to a return stay soon
nothing
The staff were superb especially Clara.
Shame the heating was broken is the first room we were given. We moved to a newly refurbished room which was excellent, very well equipped, tastefully Decorated and very comfortable
Warm, helpful staff, comfy beds and linens, plenty of drinks including fresh milk for proper yorky tea. Water was good pressure and hot in shower. Good location with enough parking. Really kind staff who checked us in late after long journey full of roadworks delays and they organised early breakfast box as well. Super hospitality much appreciated.
Bathrooms tired with lower standard materials and finish. Rooms ok. Nice local photographs as wall art. They cater for hikers with pets so have to strike a balance but a few problems: room radiators not coming on, mirror came off mounting when tilted. Bathrooms would benefit from higher quality updating, eg lino and plastic bath surrounds that push in and are slightly cracked. But might be too costly in current economy.
Great location. Lovely bar and restaurant with great food. Staff very welcoming. Complementary bottles water, milk etc was a nice touch.
Nowt! Although bathroom looking a bit tired.
Nice pub accommodation.
All good. More GF options could be offered but all as expected.
Great location. Walking straight from the hotel and no need to use the car. Friendly staff and good food.
