Beds too soft for me as I have a bad back that needs a very very firm mattress

Homely and cosy.Room great with en suite. Lovely bar with great ales and a good wine list reasonably priced . Food excellent as was the service. Can not fault the Craven Arms Would highly recommend a visit.

The room was of a good size, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. We ate in the pub both nights and food was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.

The pub is on the main Settle to Kendal road, so if the room is facing the road, can be a bit noisy. Fortunately the traffic is minimal at night!

Lovely place to stay with incredible views, nice comfy double bed with ensuite. Restaurant food was beautiful, alot of effort made by staff, friendly and welcoming. Huge beer garden and ample parking. Great location.

The tv kept switching itself on randomly, quite annoying, had to be switched off when not watching it 🙄

All meals were excellent, being freshly prepared to order. Still prompt & efficient service though. The room was not over big, but certainly met our needs. It was well prepared for our arrival & was a ground floor room as initially requested. The shower was great & general cleanliness throughout was maintained by the staff during our stay.

We liked everything.

Excellent food, friendly people,clean and comfortable. My friends had their dog with them and so we ate in the bar which was perfectly comfortable and left the restaurant free for other diners. A great idea, accommodating everyone. A lovely location.

Might be a little far out of Settle for some people without transport. If coming by train aim for Giggleswick Station, which is really close by.

Our stay at the Craven Arms was perfect in every way. The accommodation, the staff , the service and the restaurant all exceeded expectations . Also a very personal approach to the customer which made it extra special.

Breakfast at the craven arms was delicious, all fresh, hot food Rooms were immaculate, comfortable bed So handy for Settle railway station.

The staff were excellent and could not be anymore helpful. Gained access to the room earlier to change, manager went out of his way to take us to the wedding venue. Helped us find and book at taxi. they were all very friendly

The rooms are nice and cosy. The windows needed to be open but there is a fast road to the side the pub, so the inconsiderate bikers screamed passed in the early hours. there was a problem with one of the drains.

The staff were very friendly, and accommodated me even though I arrived very late at night. The room was nice and spacious and well decked out with everything needed. The breakfast was also really good. Overall lovely stay!

Staff were very helpful in helping me navigate the pub without using steps. I have mobility issues and we had a ground floor room with access to the car park. The room was spotless. Very comfy bed with excellent quality bedding. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice.

The location was ideal, the staff were welcoming. The property was well looked after and the rooms were excellent, we ate in the restaurant for all three evenings and along with breakfast the food was well presented and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, would highly recommend the hotel.

A clean, friendly, well run hotel. The food was delicious, well served. Our bedroom had everything we needed. The dining room was well appointed with delightful views across field, trees and hills.

A hotel that exceeded expectations in terms of both accommodation and food offering

Location perfect for a five minute drive to Settle railway station. Fantastic views, great food, so fresh & tasty, definitely not ‘pub food’ immaculate room, comfy bed, fluffy white towels & very quiet. Staff friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room (#1) was beside a busy road and below very noisy floorboards with guests who were up and walking about in their room at 5.15am. As a light sleeper - not ideal.

In general it is a nice hotel. The staff were hard working, friendly and the food was very good.

The rooms back on to a very busy A road and it was very noisy with cars and lorries. This was particularly bad given that it was so hot and i had to have the windows open. A very poor nights sleep. There was no wifi in the room and breakfast didn't start until 8:30 so we were very late getting on the road.

Good parking and a comfortable room which despite the record temperatures wasn't too hot . The menu was a bit different to your normal pub grub and well cooked and a reasonable price.

Beer garden was a bit tired looking

It was spotlessy clean, and delicious food with good sized portions. The surrounding scenery was lovely. On our last day before we checked out we were served breakfast by Ruby. She had excellent customer service and also chatted to us. A great location. We would stay again as long as we are not in a noisy room.

Our room overlooked onto the main road which was extremely noisy all throughout the night. It was very difficult to sleep, with the traffic going up and down all night. We had to have the windows open as the room was very hot and we did not have a fan in the room to cool it down.

We wanted a dinner, bed and breakfast option en route to visit an old friend in Lancashire and the Craven Arms provided a comfortable room with good facilities for an overnight stay. Dinner in the restaurant provided good choices and food was clearly freshly cooked to order and of good quality. Breakfast was of a similar standard. We also thoroughly approve of an establishment where dogs are not in the main dining room but are accommodated elsewhere. Staff efficient, helpful and well informed about menu choices. We would happily return if in the area.

We stayed for the 3 yorkshire peaks challenge so it was lovely to have a nice comfortable and clean room to come back to. Check in was really smooth and the place was easy to find; right opposite giggleswick station and walkable into Settle town. We were up too early for the breakfast on the day of the hike, but the staff were incredibly helpful and packed us a very generous continental breakfast to take with us, and even offered a packed lunch which kept us going. The pub and restaurant below also offered delicious food in the evening.

The first stop on our Way of the Roses cycling holiday. Great service, rooms, food and a safe place to store our bikes. We booked a table for the evening meal and would definitely recommend. Thanks for looking after us :)

Lovely room (number 8) extremely clean and comfy bed too. Room is small but it is an old building and it didn't bother us. We had a lovely view over a field with lambs and rabbits running around. Loved the location. We ate in the restaurant and has the Sunday roast which was lovely. Staff were great very attentive and always around. Drinks were reasonable.

The room was a good size and really nice furnishings. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

The great experience. The hotel is well maintained and renovated, the rooms ccomfortable, stafff (including the owner) is extremely friendly and helpful, restaurant is very pleasant and cuisine is great. We really did enjoy our stay.

I think a more varied evening meal selection as was doing a trek the day after and wanted something quite basic . That was just circumstances and personal taste . Judging the breakfast I would say the food is lovely

Everything about the stay was exceptional, the location, the food, the staff willing to go that extra mile, the cleanliness of all the facilities,

my only slightly negative observation was the mattress in our room was quite soft. This is a personal choice and may not apply to all the beds, and if you like a softer bed it will be perfect for you.

This was a perfect location for our trek26 event. The rooms were clean, staff were so friendly and the food was delicious!!

Our second visit to this lovely pub. We received a warm friendly welcome. The room was a good size, the dog’s crate fitted in easily (superior king room). The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Staff are friendly and professional.

A smashing place to stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clearly very well looked after and everything was as you would want it. Meals in the restaurant were first class, but be aware of that full breakfast as its very full indeed, but lovely.

A generic hotel issue with tea and coffee. The milk sachets are no way near the right volume. It takes 2 per drink to get close.

This is a lovely place to stay. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, generous sized bedroom, the bed was very comfortable and set in a quiet annexe. The setting is in glorious rolling hills, and this was at lambing time which made it special. The staff were all very pleasant and the food (dinner and breakfast) was superb. My wife particularly enjoyed a homemade mushroom pie. We hope very much to stay here again.

Really lovely hotel with exceptional staff. The bedroom is very comfortable, with nice pillows and duvets with a luxurious feel. The breakfast was fantastic and catered for all dietary requirements. We ate twice in the hotel and the vegan meals were delicious. Service is very good. We were initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 5 nights.
