Reviewed Nov 11, 2025No professionalism at all. I've booked and paid for 8 people on the 25th of March and our trip was on the 7th and 8th of Nov. Went to checked in, got all 4 room keys and left my baggage in one of the rooms. Just be be called a couple of hours later and to let me know there was a double booking by someone who paid in previous week. The owner, Petro didn't even tell me herself that my booking was canceled. I had to find that out on booking.com. So after numerous phone calls we realized that we don't have anywhere to sleep anymore and went to the guesthouse to fetch our stuff, just to see that they removed our bags from our room and left it in the foyer. No first come, first serve policy. It turns out the people who ended up staying there paid R400 more than us. (R100 per room) This is the worst experience I ever had. I do not recommend this place at all. They have zero professionalism and will bump you as they see fit even if you've paid months in advance.

Location and guesthouse is easily accessible, no hassle coming and going. Felt really safe coming back late. Rooms are spacious; love the carpets in the rooms. Great service from Anna and Petro from before check in up till after we left when we left something in the room. Highly recommend!!
More cups in the multi rooms, we only had two in the 3 person room. There was no milk and someones old coke in the fridge in the upstairs queen room. No towels until late the evening for the queen room. But we made it work so its not a train smash, just a friendly note.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Koru is close to Ford, 10min easy traffic & very convenient. Koru is in a leafy gated suburb, with strict security, no litter & super well maintained. I like it because I can safely jog early hours & after dark. Wapadrand is an amazing suburb. Koru has an amazing garden, lots of trees, birds & even the sound of nag-aapies (haven't managed to see them yet). Koru makes work on JHB/PTA feel like a holiday.

The tranquility of the guesthouse was just what was needed after the busyness of international travel and dealing with the madness on the SA roads. Despite being in the heart of Pretoria, the area is entirely safe for those looking to go for a walk or run.
