Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Ryokan, was jedoch an Charme nicht verloren hat. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und man hatte alles, was man braucht. Das öffentliche Bad war schön, um abends nach einem langen Tag Sightseeing zu entspannen. Besonders die sehr herzlichen Eigentümer haben unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht! Man merkt, dass sie das Ryokan mit viel Liebe und Leidenschaft führen. Bei unserer Ankunft gab es sogar ein Quiz, bei welchem man als Preis eine kleine Flasche Sake gewinnen konnte. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!
Leider hat der Aufzug nicht mehr funktioniert, was jedoch nicht allzu schlimm war, da wir einfach unser großes Gepäck im Auto gelassen und nur mit den für die beiden Übernachtungen notwendigen Dingen eingecheckt haben.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Es war so wunderschön hier! Das Gasthaus ist ein wahres Kunstwerk und das Ehepaar, welches die Unterkunft leitet, ist so freundlich und hilfsbereit! Dort ein paar Tage zu wohnen war ein Geschenk! Die beiden Hunde sind so süß und wir hatten ein tolles, großes Zimmer! Jeden Abend waren wir im onsen, so angenehm und wohltuend! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder und können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Traditionelles Ryokan mit grossen Zimmern und Onsenbereich, das von einem netten Gastgeberpaar geführt wird. Ruhige Lage, nicht ganz zentral, aber auch ohne Auto erreichbar (vom Bahnhof (Matsushima Station) und ins Zentrum jeweils ca. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuss).
Man bekommt das Gefühl, dass die Unterkunft etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist (defekter Lift, stillgelegter Essbereich), aber die Zimmer sind sauber und aufgeräumt.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026L’accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, la possibilité de laisser les bagages en attendant que la chambre soit prête, la déco authentique, le confort de la literie et le petit onsen au dernier étage.
Dommage qu’ils ne proposent pas de repas, ça oblige à sortir et le soir la ville est quasiment déserte, alors qu’en journée elle est super animée.

Les lieux sont calmes. On accède facilement à pied, au centre de Matsushima. Le parking de l'hôtel est soigneusement arboré.

I don't understand the raving reviews. First, this is not an Onsen at all! It's only a Ryokan with public baths, it's a big difference. Onsen are thermal natural water. If you want to go to a Onsen, go to a real one where Japanese go!! Secondly, there's no breakfast and the location of the hotel is not nice at all with no restaurants close. So, I don't recommend, it feels like a trap for foreigners. The owners are nice, but it doesn't mean it worth going

Pas de proposition de petit déjeuner sachant que rien n'ouvre avant 10h00 en ville. Un petit peu loin du "centre-ville" (15 minutes) et de la gare (20 minutes) dans un quartier sans charme particulier.

No había ascensor y el suelo de piedras no ayuda a mover una maleta de ruedas. Creo que para ir con maletas recomendaría otro alojamiento o contarlo como ir al gimnasio.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Es ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit noch wunderschöneren Menschen, die sie leiten. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt, alles war wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Art wie das Hotel innen angelegt hat ist fast wie ein Museum oder eine Ausstellung. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Půvabný tradiční rjokan, kde jsem byl ubytován již podruhé. Vynikající je především přístup majitelů, kteří jsou milí, zábavní a vstřícní. Dovolili nám večer využít jednu místnost pro společenské posezení. Také jsme využili tradiční "ofuro". Ocenili jsme také, že nám majitelé objednali taxi na další den ráno. Rjokan je v docházkové vzdálenosti od centra Macušimy.
Nepříjemností může být absence výtahu, ale především slabá wi-fi. Jako problematické se ukázalo také to, že nejbližší železniční stanice je mimo dosah on-line aplikace pro objednávání taxi (aplikace GO), takže jsme museli do hotelu jít pěšky, což zabralo cca 10–15 minut.

Offre anche un angolo caffe/the e lo spazio per gustarli comodamente seduti a tavola. L'onsen è molto gradito, per riposarsi da una giornata di cammino. Un particolare ringraziamento ai proprietari e alla loro gentilezza e simpatia 😊🥰

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Staffs are friendly. Especially about the owners, they were so kind and sweet who always asking about how we were doing and anything they could help with. Although I don’t speak Japanese, but that’s the feeling that will always make me remember the place and experience.
Nothing much just the floor hallway flooring are beautifully decorated with stones, so it’s a bit hard for me to tow my luggage lol.

The location is at a bit of a dinstance of most stations restaurants and similar, however it is quite easy to walk the distance.

The on site onsen was a plus especially since tattoo's were accepted. The building is also earthquake proof as I discovered, experiencing a 6.3 quake whilst I was there.
No refrigerator in room but there was a communal one available to use.

Un peu loin de la gare quand on est chargé mais je le savais avant de réserver. Le petit déjeuner serait appréciable dans un endroit aussi charmant

Reviewed May 11, 2026Комнаты в рёкане довольно уютные, онсен приятный, можно провести много времени за таким удовольствием ) Расположен недалеко от станции JR (10 минут пешком), транспортная доступность хорошая. Отдельно хотелось бы упомянуть доброжелательность и гостеприимство владельцев рёкана, в том числе готовность помочь нам в случае помощи в поисках забытой вещи. Мы обязательно остановимся здесь в следующий раз, когда снова приедем в Мацусиму :)

Reviewed May 5, 2026We (3 people, staying 2 nights) had a very warm welcome by the two owners and their cute dogs. The atmosphere was very cozy and the futons extremely comfortable. The public onsen has perfect temperature and it’s no problem to use it with tattoos. Izakayas and shops are within 10 minute walking distance. The introduction to the facilities and explanation of some house rules (Japanese and English) were very friendly and clear :)
