Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Está muy bien ubicado, todo queda muy cerca y puedes tomar transporte a muy pocas cuadras para poder ir a otras playas, las habitaciones son muy limpias y cuentan con lo básico para poder estar cómodo, tuvimos la oportunidad de estar en dos habitaciones distintas y sin duda la estancia fue muy buena, lo recomiendo ampliamente Sin duda regresaría!

La cama MUY cómoda a diferencia de los hoteles y desde la entrada huele riquísimo a la limpieza.

Fabulous to sit on the terrace watching cruisey Mexican life unfold
Mould in the grouting and corners could be addressed, admittedly it is growing within the porous grouting. There was renovating happening over the road, loud power tools during the day, not casa Maria’s fault but that noise pollution is hard to ignore

Había cucarachas muertas en el piso. Prometía wifi cuando la contraté y nunca tuve señal. Y no funcionaba el control remoto de la TV. Además decía que el departamento que estaba en planta baja tenía terraza y resultó que la terraza era en el tercer piso por escalera y se ingresaba por otro edificio.

Hay que coordinar muy bien la entrada y salida para no perder tanto tiempo como fue mi caso, habia algo de humedad en el cuarto pero estaba limpio.

I didn't like the fact that I could not meet the host in person. I was put off by it. I understand that in-person meeting may not always work. However, in-person meeting can help with some concerns on anything about adjusting and adapting to the new environment, whether for short-term and long-term stays.

Unit 6. No curtains or blinds so street light lights up the room which has no door. Drain in shower semi blocked so you stand in water up to you ankles when showering. Wifi intermittent and staff keep just sending you the passwords over and over as a solution as if to say you do not know how to use it. I could get reception from building a block away (Colibri) but not Casa Maria's from inside the kitchen.

Reviewed May 5, 2026The building is nice, the style is fun. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The cleaning lady was incredibly nice and prioritized my room so I could check in early.
WiFi was non existent. The kitchen was lacking a lot of things. No utinsels, I ate my breakfast using a plastic measuring spoon. Communication was exceptionally poor. I tried to contact the host for two full days before arrival to ask about early check in, and only got a response two hours before I was set to show up. I messaged through booking, WhatsApp, text and ever tried calling them all with no response. Later, I messaged about the WiFi as the network doesn't exist, and I never got any reply at all.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026La casa esta a 50 metros del malecon, donde se ve el mar espectacular El diseño de la habitación me encanto, tiene todas las comodidades La habitación en la parte alta, en la baja la sala y cocina y en otra parte alta el baño El diseño de las paredes esta fenomenal, pareciera que vives dentro de una obra de arte de Picasso. Lugar elegante y muy cómodo, muy por debajo del precio que debería tener Cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasarla genial
En lo particular iba a dormir temprano por un evento al día siguiente, La casa se encuentra en el corazon de la zona de bares y el ruido es alto, toda la noche. En mi caso la musica del exterior paro a las 5 am. Si es un viaje para diversión es excelente. Si es para relax no es lo ideal. La playa que esta cerca de la casa no se puede meter a bañar, tiene muchas rocas, pero es algo particular de puerto vallarta. Tienes que moverte a otras playas para disfrutar del mar

Our room was dirty, the couch was nasty, we had a rodent or something eat through a shopping bag, bugs on the counter, rock hard display pillows on the bed as sleeping pillows, safe didn’t work, fridge was broken, used a small fridge that leaked water everywhere and upon checkin they wanted passport info which we didn’t end up sharing but they insisted.

No tenían agua caliente ... y quería usar una plancha pero no me dijeron que estaba en área común... y cuando fui a buscar a alguien del hotel para ver si me podían prestar una plancha no había nadie ... mande WhatsApp y me respondieron 3 hrs después cuando ya me había puesto la ropa arrugada

We booked 2 rooms for a total of 5 people. When we got there, there were only 2 beds. There was a futon in one of the rooms, but it had no sheets or pillows. Javier told us to look in s bin in the kitchen, which didnt have any sheets either. When I informed Javier of this, he proceeded to never answer me for the rest of my stay. Also, in the larger room, the bathroom door is made out if glass and so is the shower so there is no form of privacy. Finally, we got the instructions for check in very late in the day. I had to request the check in information myself because he still had not sent them by the time we were on our way to the place.

Toilet seat broken. A little difficult to reach the host, but another was able to let me in. The interior door said to lock for guest safety, but was broken and no key was provided for it. I wonder if the sign means what it does. As the main door and window to the unit have security bars. I stayed at a sister property that entered off the street and felt safe. The sign could potentially make unfamiliar guests feel unsafe.

Det framgick inte av bokningssidan att det inte fanns någon reception eller personal på plats. Vi bokade på kvällen från en restaurang med wifi och åkte sedan direkt till "hotellet". Ingen där och stängt. Vi hade inte fått några instruktioner och hade inte internet. Bara tack vare en vän kunde vi ringa boendets telefon från gatan och få instruktioner om ett nyckelskåp. Är mer som ett AirB. Dåligt att inte tydligt berätta detta. Vi hade tur att rummet låg längst ner för det fanns ingen hiss och info om detta saknades också.

I think there were some nicer units …we were on #6 …wasn’t quite what I was expecting….felt quite small and congested…Some Items in kitchen old and need replacing…2 burner stove needs unplugging when not in use as knob not working properly…coat hangers so cheap they slid off the PVC pipe which was the only place to hang clothes… no room for suitcases except under the sink ..you need to request anything you need including towels. Get instructions on how to use the various remotes for fans , AC, lights and hot water taps. If getting a ride to the airport from host confirm the price ahead of time

During the unrest in Mexico, when we had to shelter in place, our host was kind enough to bring sandwiches and water and in the event, extended our stay for a complimentary night. The apartment (#6) we had to move into, because of a cancelled flight, was a bit cramped for us, with a very small dark bedroom and tight living / kitchen space. The kitchen lacked several amenities but the shared kitchen elsewhere in the building was available to us. The bathroom was large and very clean and functional. And the bed was comfortable if a little small. Wifi reception was not great in this location.

Reviewed Feb 27, 2026Location was excellent, in old Puerto Vallarta, one block from the Malecon and Playa Camarones, with access to lots of services, stores and restaurants. It was also very quiet despite being so close to the ‘action’ of the Malecon. There was a shared, reasonably well equipped kitchen and an attractive rooftop terrace. The room was spacious (#3 King Suite) with an extremely comfortable king size bed. The decor was colourful and inviting, as shown in photos. Bathroom was functional with a good hot shower. However, the toilet was in a very small space, which would have been difficult for a large person. Although we only met the host once, he was responsive and accommodating by text. Room was particularly good value for money.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Very comfortable space, easy to jump into a routine in it. The bed is great, the AC worked well, the tvs work like new, the check in was easy, the staff is friendly and tried to help with any request.
There’s very loud clubs that work every night very close. Even with earplugs, they are heard at nighttime until early morning. A 10/10 place would also supply bulk necessities like salt, oil, detergent.
