The view we had from our window looking into Edinburgh Castle was amazing.
Room was very small and for the price there should have been toiletries etc. You could feel every spring in the bed. You can only get in the bed from one side and the bottom Traffic noise and I’m assuming homeless people sheltering below our room window chatting into the wee small hours. How it has a fire licence I’ll never know as the windows are painted closed.
Staff were nice and got us extra pillows when requested and location was good
Not very clean, room was ridiculously small and could barely get changed without standing on the bed. Bed was very poor and springs digging into you. Walls super thin, you can hear EVERYTHING in the room/ bed next to you. Shower and toilet situation was very cramped such that you can't shower without getting the toilet paper wet. I've stayed in 5 other hotels in the easy hotel chain and I've enjoyed them and know that it's not going to be super luxurious, but this is possibly the worst hotel I've stayed in, easy hotel or otherwise.
Loved the location and the view of the castle was amazing!
Room was super small and overpriced, no lift, had to drag my suitcase up with no assistance from the staff. The internet was extremely bad.
Location is central
I had a booked a stay weeks in advance at this awful hotel. When I arrived the room was awfully claustrophobic and small and there was hair all over the bedsheets. The bathroom sink would not drain water and the only staff member around at this time tried to use declogging agent to fix it, this made disgusting gunk fill up the They could not re room me and management were extremely unhelpful, Told me to either stay on with the current conditions as they couldn’t fix it and they didn’t have any other rooms or to get a room in a different hotel for myself….. I was alone at 11.30 pm on the streets of Edinburgh trying to find a place to sleep as a young woman. I tried to discuss with management, no response over the email they gave me as was promised (the email still is bouncing for delivery to this day..) Gosh What a horrible experience Ended up booking a hotel out of my pocket for the night for 200£….. if I could give this hotel 0/10 I would.
Central location was perfect.
Just to premise, we did read the terms and conditions and information about this hotel on the website before visiting. - Rude member of staff on entrance. Left us waiting for about 5 minutes without a ‘bear with me.’ We were stood waiting in silence, felt uncomfortable. Didn’t give us any information about the room or stay. This resulted in us leaving the bathroom door open after a shower, and getting a knock on the door at 7.30am from one of the staff members saying we had set the fire alarm off and that the door must be kept shut at all times. This is due to the lack of information provided on arrival. There is also no extraction fan which meant everything stayed steamy for a long time and our belongings that were left in the bathroom were damp. - We were fully aware that the photographs showed a small room that we had booked however on arrival we were shocked by the sheer lack of space. As we were going out in the evening we quickly realised that the room was not practical for two people to get ready in. This room was not suitable for 2 people and I’m unsure how it’s allowed to be sold as so. - Room facilities were poor. Bed was so uncomfortable, and paired with the luminous green lifht coming from the lifht shade all night (despite being turned OFF), we did not sleep a wink. The room was extra bright, despite having no window. - Avoid staying here if you have lots of luggage or need accessible access as there is no lift, and nobody offered to help with bags. - On exit, the lady at reception was friendly, but simply asked if we had any bags before saying goodbye. She didn’t ask how our stay was, and therefore we felt that we weren’t given opportunity to voice our feelings about our stay. From my experience of staying at hotels, asking how a customer’s stay was is very basic customer service. In conclusion, we just had a shocking experience.
It was a great location. The hotel was relatively cheap given the location and the time of year. The fringe was on and we got a decent deal all things considered.
The room is very cramped and had no window. Felt a little like being in a tin can but for the location and a short stay it was fine. Also the bathroom is tight. It reminded me of an airplane toilet. There is no elevator and we were on the top floor so not suitable for people with mobility issues. The housekeeping plugged vaccum in on bottom floor and were on the first floor cleaning - therefore there was a potential safety issue with the wire running up the stairs.
the rooms were tidy, the hotel is clean and the staffs were friendly. the rooms are bigger than what we expected as it fits 2 cabin sized backpacks. this is a good hotel.
if your room is at the top. it will take around 75 step stairs. halfway of the warriston's close. a good daily excercise.
Centrally located
The room size, staff behaviour, bags left outside the door. Overall experience not welcoming.
Concept
Good location
Only the staff - they were friendly. But you could see the same receptionist early morning and late evening. Didn't seem there were taken care of nicely.
I didn't like anything about the hotel: no lift, I had to carry my 20kg suitcase three long floors up, not help even though I am elderly, the room is a cabine, not place to put your suitcase anywhere, can't even open the door to the bathroom etc.
The view from the window was fabulous and the staff we saw were friendly
It was the size of a small cupboard!!! And absolutely no tea making facilities!! It’s the UK for goodness sake we need our tea The bed was hard and no storage at all
It was clean and in the middle of Edinburgh near the venue
The room was the size of a toilet and it had a double bed and a toilet cubicle It definitely was not value for money I have paid the same price for a 4 star hotel in Glasgow My dad is 82 and had to try and change for the party in a space you couldn't swing a midgy So left then and came home as refused to stay in the room Also it says air con lmao a tiny fan in the roof but blew out a tiny bit of cold air So a family party turned into a stressful day for me as I'm also my dad's carer
Lokacija
Premale sobe
The location was fantastic with view's off the castle.
For one night and the size of the room and no breakfast £287 was definitely too expensive, unfortunately I won't stay there again.
Perfect location and perfect view
The room is so small
Fantastic location!!! The staff were all nice! The room was clean!
The room vs the price. We paid £188 for THE smallest, most basic room I have ever been in in my life! The room was literally the size of the double bed, enclosed by 3 walls, an approx 1x2m area by the door and a shower room with a shower tray so small that I couldn’t even bend over to shave my legs!!! I am tall but it was just ridiculously small. No water pressure. 1 very small towel each. No tea or coffee facilities in the room ( or even water beakers). A TV in the room that wasn’t plugged in or tuned ( had to do it ourselves)
Troppo troppo piccolo... Troppo troppo caro

Location is great
Completely disappointing, small room in an understatement, it was a bed and toilet/ pod bathroom, the shower had someone else's hair in it and the shower hit the toilet as it was so close. On the 3rd floor with no lift, no cups for water available. The bed is rock solid, the walls between the rooms are paper thin, I could hear the neighbours chatting, barely slept. For over £200 a night we would expect to at least sleep.
Priamo v centre, blízko hradu a pamiatok
No recomendable
Great location ,
Bit small
Very central
We had a double bed squeezed into a single room. Was like a cupboard . Paid extra £50 for a window which looked out onto a rooftop.
Location was great, right in the centre
We paid £260 for 1 night, in a box without a window. The bed just fit in the space, touching 3 walls. There wasnt room for 2 of us to stand in the room, 1 either had to stand in the bathroom, outside or be on the bed. Definitely paid far too much.
Nothing
The rooms were not up to High standard as advertised , very cold no heating, bathrooms small felt as if I was in a box. wasn’t clean , awful drain smell
Excellent location, and walkable from the train station. Nice view to see the Castle from the room. Room was as described, and as expected was small, however for 2 nights when all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep it was perfectly adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, and there was a TV Probably wouldn't want to stay longer than 2 nights as a couple, a single traveller would be fine.
Central location
Rooms are incredibly small
The location was great.
The rooms were extremely small
Location of hotel. Spotlessly clean. Air con/cool room. Comfortable bed. Clean towels.
Room was a bit too small for the price. Shower gel dispenser was empty. Thin walls, could hear next door.
Location. Staff - super friendly, very helpful and welcoming
the 'room' is more akin to a cupboard and the bathroom pods are simply ridiculous. Pricing is way over the top - even if weighting extra for the Fringe.
Amazing location and meticulously clean
The stairs
Location is good
Rooms are absolutely tiny, walls are lined with the same plastic you get inside a plane, not every room has a window, the toilet/shower is horrible.
The location of the hotel
Stairs , No lift , Very small rooms
We had two rooms and both looked out over the castle but other rooms would have had no windows at all it was cheap for Edinburgh and position nut was like a cross channel ferry in size . The bathroom ,though tiny .worked well including the shower
It was clean nice staff
Very small having you buy your own hot drinks and things for the price of the actual hotel.
Location was good, bed very clean and reasonably comfy. Overall cleanliness was very good.
Room was smaller than expected. Literally the size of a double bed. Might be OK for single person but to cramped gor couple.
Location
The room was cold, sounded like there was air con on but there was no way of turning this off.
A bed for the night
A wee bit small, unfortunately price was high because of the fringe & tattoo
The staff were super friendly & helpful...They provided some extra towels & helps us with orientation of the city. The location was very good for exploring the city. The bed & pillows were surprisingly comfortable The room is not designed to spend time & relax.....its all about the location! We had 3 nights - that was plenty
The rooms are small! - but that is clear in the advertising. I only wish the room had more hooks & shelves to place your items, books, phones etc. The small floor area quickly fill up with stuff! No reading lights by the bed, no shelf to place a bottle of water of a phone - super expensive - but it was the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Location
Cost for a room not big enough for 2 people sharing. No lift. Generally not a good experience
Rien
C'est une cage sans fenêtre.
The staff were friendly and polite
The room was like a rabbit hutch, no air and very small, could barely move without banging into each other
Irme
Close to everything
Too many stairs.
Very clean, comfortable and secure. Compact room as expected but suited my needs. Clever little bathroom. Great location and very friendly staff.
Not a lot.
Room was cramped and there was no lift.
Very convenient location
Small rooms (which we knew about) but tired decoration on entry. Prices inflated due to timing.
Location
Stairs + the room toooooo small for 2
Good location although had to detour because of a recent fire
The room was even smaller than expected (I booked a standard double) The smell every time you walked in was awful, the walls are paper thin and someone had already started vacuuming very early in the morning and slamming doors. Didn't feel particularly safe in the room. Bed wasn't comfortable and the bathroom was about as big as a aeroplane toilet, won't be returning, crazy price for a hotel because of the fringe and tattoo.
Location and the view
The room was so small u couldn’t unpack and found it difficult to get ready . The bathroom was a shambles .. was like an airplane toilet with a plastic shower threw in .. no space in it at all !!! bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood , very uncomfortable and only provided one pillow . They had the check to charge us £287 for this stay and also charged us £20 for early check in and late check out !!!
Central location along Princes St, so it was close to everything. The staff who checked me in was very nice and friendly. Also, it felt safe - with 24/7 reception. It was good enough for one night stay, literally just for sleeping. Though if you are a light sleeper, reconsider.
Small bathroom, which I should have expected. What I didn't expect was how thin the walls are - I could hear people in the next room and in the hallway, and they were just talking and walking normally.
Da localização
Good location
Room was too small !!
Like sleeping in a shoebox !
The whole of the stay at the hotel
Location
Very expensive for what it is £606 for 3 nights double room, couldn’t swing a cat in it, so small, bathroom very tiny, no kettle in room, below average
Its location
The price and the breakfast
Wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle.
More like a wardrobe than a room.
The view
The room was far to small . Just a dormer window with a wall put up . Toilet was just a small cupboard with a shower in it . No extractor fan . No tea,/coffee no kettle . Windows didn't open. Very basic . No cupboards . Won't be going back
The staff welcome was good. Location was excellent, within walking distance of the castle and lots of pubs and restaurants.
I knew the room was small but my wife and I didn’t expect to be staying in a windowless shoebox that cost a fortune. The wifi didn’t work, the shower was either cold or boiling and the bed had a lean on it that made my wife feel like she was falling out of it. I’m 6” 1’ and I was touching the opposite wall with my feet while laying in bed. I know that Edinburgh is busy at this time of year but to be charged $350AU for this felt like a rort. We had a good night at the military tattoo but felt claustrophobic.
Location
Very tight space, not a lot of room at all!!
