Edinburgh Castle Apartments

Spacious, Clean, light and airy. Its well stocked with biscuits, tea and coffee etc. We stayed in Room 6 on a Thursday night. It has two double bedrooms plus two sofa beds and a cot - so can in theory sleep 9. It is set up for 6 with six towels, mugs glasses etc but only 5 dining chairs. I'd say its great value for 6 people but not so much for just 2.

TV remote didn't work so had to get "the guy" to change it - he arrived quickly and brought a selection and one partially worked - so that was good. The bedroom magnetic door "keep" was broken so the self closing door did it's thing. The apartment is on the first floor above the ground so the sound from the street is very loud and the noise from people walking by talking and the late night revellers continues well into the small hours, once that quietens down the bin men arrive. Take ear plugs! My biggest gripe with this apartment is the size of the shower room. Its very narrow at about 3' or 90cm - I mean so narrow my knees nearly touched the wall opposite when sitting on the wc and its a bit of a shock when you can't shave without accidentally touching the hot towel radiator behind you.

Amazing studio , fast and easy check in + check out , the apartment was very clean , also the small kitchen and important things was avilable , bed comfortable , close the resturants and everything , shopping , really i enjoyed there , i would stay there again , i recommend it 👍🏻

Huge climb up the stairs to our apartment!

We loved this place right on Prince's Street. It was walkable to so many great sights in town. Wound up renting a 2 bedroom apartment for the two of us so we were in our largest place of the whole trip. Comfortable and clean, great kitchen with everything you need. Helpful staff and large windows. Expect a city experience- you feel like you are in the action!

I'm a light sleeper, so a city is not ideal for this Cinderella, but not anything negative about the hotel. If you don't like noise, make sure to bring earplugs although quiet time is usually followed from about 10pm to 7am. The wifi was very weak and sporadic for us, but we enjoyed our time without being super connected.

Staff was not available during the stay, and when I reached out the reply took + 30 Minutes -no help with any luggage going down spiral stairs, and when asked was told they didn’t hire “men” to lift, which puzzled me as I am a women in my 50’s who was wondering why when my room was ready and they’d had my luggage in the office they hadn’t just dropped one off into the room as a courtesy..

We were not aware that we would have to carry luggage up 4 flights of stairs as no lift and it would have been good to know that in advance as it was challenging.

The location was perfect. The building has a fascinating history, which you can read about in the guest book. They allow guests to access the laundry facilities! They offer luggage storage if you arrive early or after checking out.

It was a perfect location and the tv had Netflix and prime. The room was very spacious and lived the light from the windows

The beds was slightly uncomfortable but still managed to sleep. The bathroom was smaller than expected but still managed okay for a few nights

Perfectly situated to visit Edinburgh. View of the castle from in front of the apartment. Lovely apartment for 6 in an old house. Short walk to tram to travel to the airport. Friendly staff who offered a bottle of champagne for my husband’s birthday.

We found the double bed in the main bedroom a little small and the mattress slightly used. Notified the reception.

Didn't realise there wasn't a lift. Had to walk up never ending stairs and being disabled it was very difficult.

Die Bilder zeigen jedoch etwas überzogene Größen der Räume. Es war viel zu eng und klein. Wir hatten für 6 Personen gebucht und kamen zum Glück nur zu viert, aber wir hatten so schon Probleme mit unserem Gepäck. Die Koffer hatten gar kein Platz und lagen mitten im Zimmer . Die Schlafzimmer waren eng, eins (kann man nicht mal Zimmer nennen)hatte nicht mal ein Fenster. Das war eherAbstellkammer mit Bett. Badezimmer sehr eng, für große Menschen schwierig auf die Toilette zu sitzen weil die Wand schon davor steht. Dieses Apartment war für 2 Personen perfekt aber nie für 4 oder wie wir gebucht haben für 6. Wir kamen schon morgens früh an und dürften immerhin die Koffer abstellen aber Check in erst ab 15 Uhr, obwohl man uns per Mail versichert hat wir können eventuell schon um 13:00-13:30 rein, leider mussten wir auch noch um 15 Uhr warten weil das Personal nicht fertig wurde und das ist schon eine Frechheit. Jedenfalls haben wir viel zu viel bezahlt ( weil grad auch noch Military Tattoo und Filmfestival war). Auf jeden Fall haben wir schon mal in Edinburgh komfortabler gelebt und würden dieses Apartment nicht mehr nehmen.

Excellent communication and straightforward check in The central location allowed really easy access to all the main attractions. Including the wonderful park, the castle and the huge array of shops,bars and restaurants. The apartment was comfortable and very clean. Significant discount (50%) on parking at the NCP car park that is a short 10 minute walk from the apartments. Good WI-FI

Steep stairs to the top floor apartment A fair amount of noise from the street but ,we stayed during festival time on a Saturday night in the city centre! It did not impact greatly on our enjoyable stay.

Das Bett war eher klein, Queensize. Das Licht im Badezimmer war recht dunkel und es fehlten Haken, an denen man die Handtücher aufhängen konnte.

A super little apartment right in the heart of Edinburgh. It was great to have a fridge, microwave and sink. Everything was spotless, the bed comfortable and the shower and gels excellent. Had lots of facilities such as an iron and hairdryer. Owners were happy to store our luggage on the last day.

We were not there in a heatwave but it would have been hot at the top of the building. No lift (we didn’t need one but just saying)

موقع الفندق ممتاز جدًا، وأي ملاحظة بسيطة قد تجدها لا تكاد تُذكر أمام روعة تعامل الموظفين، وبالأخص الأخ ماجك. شخص محترم جدًا وخدوم، يضيف قيمة حقيقية للمكان بحسن تعامله واهتمامه بالضيوف. من الصعب أن يخرج شخص بتقييم سلبي بعد تجربة هذا التعامل الراقي. ماجك لا يكتفي بتقديم الخدمة، بل يحرص على مساعدة الضيوف وإرشادهم إلى المعالم السياحية والأماكن الجميلة دون أن يطلبوا منه ذلك. إنسان بشوش، متعاون، ويجعل الإقامة أكثر راحة ومتعة. شكرًا له ولجميع فريق الفندق على هذه التجربة المميزة.

النقطة الوحيدة التي لم تعجبني هي عدم توفر المصعد (الأسانسير)، خاصة لمن يحملون أمتعة أو لديهم صعوبة في استخدام الدرج. أتمنى أن يتم توفيره مستقبلًا، لأنه سيجعل تجربة الإقامة أكثر راحة واكتمالًا.

No-one available when we arrived - we had to make a few calls beyond someone came. Little facilities for self catering. Very expensive for what it was.

One major concern was that the staff left the property at 5:00 PM. After that time, the emergency contact numbers provided by the property were unreachable, making it very difficult to get assistance when we needed it. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to find someone to speak to, which was frustrating and stressful. A property should always ensure that guests have access to reliable support, especially in case of emergencies.

Location was perfect. Room was perfect for our needs, spacious, had a fridge to store drinks and snacks, shower was good, bed was comfortable, nice seating/lounge area. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Didn't dislike it as such but there was no cooking facilities in the apartment if you wanted to make your own food. But we didn't have any intention of doing this as we wanted to check out the local restaurants and bars so it didn't affect us, but worth noting.

The room was spacious for three, very clean and had a nice, modern aesthetic. We loved that you can see Edinburgh Castle from the street right outside the building and that it was within walking distance.

We were in one of the basement apartments which was fine; we were only there one night. Very early in the morning, there was a loud crashing sound that we heard multiple times like recycled glass bottles being dumped into something. It was quite a rude awakening.

Perfect central location, comfortable, clean and everything you need for a great stay. Staff over and above, super friendly and incredibly helpful. I will definitely be back.

Edinburgh Castle apartments is centrally located and within easy walking distance from all major attractions. Great little restuarant at the front door that helped on all late excursions.

Unfortunately I did not expect the room to be sort of underground. This led to a semi stale musty smell in the room and on the linen that I did not appreciate.

The location. It was also very clean with lovely towels.

No one on reception during the hour we were advised to get there. Grumpy person welcomed us. Room was sooo cold. WiFi didn’t work in our below ground room. Very expensive for what was a very average stay.

Easy walk from the tram stop. Very Large room, beautifully decorated, very well equiped - we appreciated coffee machine. Bed was comfy! Lovely lovely space. If you are not a fan of stairs, this isn’t for you. We enjoy stairs, so we were fine, but there are many stairs, don’t know about an elevator as it’s an old building (and we didn’t ask). The shower did seem to wet the bathroom floor, which was ok for us, but long term may cause issues for property. Easy check in and out - online if you want. Would stay here again. Would’ve liked longer!

Great size apartment with lots of space, Stylish decor. Nice to have a kitchen and a lounge area. The bathroom was small but functional. The location is good, close to shops and restaurants and about 20 min walk from the royal mile. Discounted parking was a bonus but expect a fair walk back to the hotel. You can drop bags first before parking. Staff were very helpful.

Be prepared for lots of stairs! All the rooms are up a very big staircase. The staff did help with the bags which was appreciated.

Difficult to say what we liked because the start of the experience was so disappointing. We reached tired after two long train journeys from Amsterdam to London and then London to Edinburgh. The room was on the top most floor up a steep winding narrow staircase - 3 floors high. We had to make two trips up and down to take one bag up at a time. There was no information on the booking site about the high floor and no lift/elevator. We would like to believe we are fit 60+ yet its unfair and a let down to face this after a long day without any transparent information. There were other options we could have chosen from and we finally did find a fabulous option at the same price for our next day's stay

Further to the above, the promise is castle view but what we got was looking into another building and sounds of party makers were travelling up through the windows. Hence, despite the heat, we had to keep the window shut and the blinds down

Una camera senza finestre e molto piccola. Servizio pessimo, quando gli abbiamo chiesto un phon perché mancava in camera hanno messo in dubbio la nostra parola credendo che l’avessimo rubato e hanno voluto verificare di persona. Inoltre, nelle istruzioni che abbiamo ricevuto prima dell’arrivo, c’era la possibilità di avere uno sconto sul parcheggio vicino, cosa che é risultata falsa. Ci hanno messo in una brutta situazione con il parcheggio, in cui eravamo noi a dover comunicare direttamente con il parcheggio senza fornire alcuna assistenza. Inoltre, dopo diverse e-mail hanno detto che ci avrebbero restituito lo sconto non applicato, ma in realtà questo non é mai stato fatto pur avendo più volte presentato tutta la documentazione da loro richiesta a testimonianza del parcheggio.

Position idéale, à proximité de la gare, des transports en communs, des musées et châteaux. Très bel appartement spacieux, lumineux, personnel aux petits soins pour les clients. Nous avons pu déposer avant nos bagages à l'accueil. laverie et sèche-linge disponible au moins 1. Magasin coop dans la rue précédente, restaurant dans la rue rose street. Rapport qualité/prix : excellent. Nous avons pu aller avec le bus 37 à l'arrêt juste à côté à Princes street direction Pencuik pour visiter la chapelle Rosslyne. Le bus pour l'aéroport airlink 100 se trouve dans la rue juste à proximité de la gare (prendre l'aller et retour car moins cher). Merci à la personne de l'accueil.

The room provided was in the basement, which was not disclosed when I booked through Booking.com. Essential information regarding the room location should be clearly and prominently stated. It is quite an unpleasant experience to find out the room is on the -1 level only after arriving
