East Beach Guest House

The guest house was lovely. Rich and Mark were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was of a high quality. It was also immaculately clean. The breakfast was very delicious. You could see that Rich and Mark take great pride in their guest house.

We were greeted by Rich and shown to our lovely bedroom overlooking the sea. Bed and pillow were comfortable. There were tea/coffee facilities in the room. There is also a lovely sitting room area for all the guests to enjoy. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries etc. There is parking over the road which is included in the room rate, which is a great feature. A lovely stay!

Very nice guest house. Got the sense that the host (mark) took a lot of pride in his establishment. Only stayed for one night (for work), but would definitely choose East Beach Guest House again next time.

Really welcoming hosts, beautiful room, clean, comfortable and personal touches like the welcome note go a long way.

The single beds were much smaller than standard single beds, fine for my 6 year old but I nearly fell out turning over so didn’t sleep too well even though it was super comfortable. Also being on the ground floor it was a bit noisy hearing people slamming the front door but overall still a lovely place.

East beach guest house is a gem , our second visit and it was wonderful again . The friendly hosts , personal service , beautiful decor , the breakfast .. can’t fault anything

Bathroom was very small but adequate for just 2 nights.

The hosts who were so hospitable and just lovely; how dog friendly it was; cleanliness (everywhere was spotless!); the location, the views and the shower (not the horrible dribble of an electric shower, but a proper shower with a very large shower-head and fantastic water pressure).

Nothing really. My room was a bit hot - but that was due to it being another brutal heatwave. However, the decent fan provided by the hosts really helped.

Der liebevolle Empfang von Marc und die superschön eingerichteten und extrem sauberen Bäder! Die Lage direkt am Meer ein weiteres Highlight! Den Frühstückeraum konnte man als Aufenthaltsraum nutzen. Auch hier alles sehr geschmackvoll und stilsicher eingerichtet.

De hotelkamer was super sfeervol ingericht, er was een gezellige huiskamer/ontbijtkamer met een drankje van het huis. De hotelkamer is super schoon en netjes, we dachten dat ze er net in zaten, maar ze zijn al jaaaaren open en het is er zó netjes, alsof ze net ipen zijn gegaan🥰 Gelijk voor de deur een groot parkeerterrein.

Such a great location right on the seafront. Quiet and easy to get to - but mostly a really comfy room and bed - with the very best towels and everything thoughtfully provided! Love the shared living room (great view!) and appreciated Mark & Rich organising the parking spot.

Mark & Rich are the perfect hosts and make you feel so welcome. We had another wonderful stay & genuinely cannot fault a thing. I think it is one of the most immaculately clean places we have ever stayed - and we do a lot of travelling and have been lucky enough to stay in a lot of lovely places! Breakfast is amazing! Plus a lovely new touch of a very good (& complementary) Port in their lounge area which was also pretty amazing 😁 thank you both we had a lovely stay - it was just too short!

Hosts were wonderful and welcoming and arranged free parking for us in the car park which is directly in front of the guest house. They left some very thoughtful notes and a lovely box of chocolates as we were celebrating our first anniversary. We enjoyed the lounge in the evening.

10am is a bit to early. By the time you have a lay in, your rushing to get ready & out. 11am like most would be the icing on the cake to a lovely setting.

This is a beautiful guest house in a superb location close to the beach and excellent restaurants. The rooms are immaculate and Mark is on hand to provide anything you need.

The guest house is centrally located on the sea front. Our room was large with a seafront view and all we needed for our weekend in Littlehampton. The lounge meant we could also catch up with friends. Mark and Richard who run the guest house are super helpful, friendly and funny. It was an absolute pleasure staying with them.

We liked it all

We were only there for one night, but we were very comfortable and pleased with our room, which was spotless. Mark welcomed us on arrival and made it clear we could ask if we needed anything else.

Our host Richard was adorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean. So comfortable. The continental breakfast was sublime. They're homemade yogurt, honey and granola pots were lovely and the warm pastries were the best, especially with some butter and jam on. I cannot recommend this place enough. We took our beloved pooch with us and he even had a poem written for him and some delicious goodies to munch. Thank you Richard, we will be back.

Was surprised when we got there that there was a charge for our dog. I understand that and don't mind paying at all. But we had no confirmation of this at all. No message. Nothing on the site we were on about a charge. Would have been nice to know upfront.

The Booking.com website is unhelpful when it comes to the description of the parking facilities. The website says 'free parking'. In fact the parking available is either roadside parking (on a very busy road, I could not find a place when I arrived) or at West Green car park - which has a height barrier which was too low for my campervan to get under. I tried to submit a review without rating the Guest house as in the end I didn't stay but Booking.com would not allow it. I also tried to reply to Mark who sent me an email but Booking.com would not allow the email to be delivered hence this review. I will not use Booking.com again.

The property is in a great location. It is so tastefully decorated, comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Every little detail had been thought of. We were generously welcomed by our hosts and felt as if we could ask them anything. Mark suggested plenty of options to us for our evening! And again when we were leaving he suggested local places to visit. Breakfast was perfect! And being able to access the lounge space at any time is brilliant!

Couldn’t get the TV channels very well . Bed was too hard and not to our liking.

Obwohl mein Zimmer klein war, war es sehr liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sensationell frisch und lecker. Die Lage unweit vom Strand mit Blick aufs Meer. Ein sehr gemütlich eingerichteter Aufenthaltsraum hat zum Frühstücken oder einfach nur Entspannen in bequemen Sitzmöbeln eingeladen. Die Gastgeber sind sooo freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank.

Das Bad in meinem kleinen Zimmer war etwas beengt. Nicht geeignet für größere Personen. Für mich war es trotzdem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Mark and Richard are absolutely lovely hosts. The room was beautifully decorated in a boutique hotel style, the bedding was high quality and it was spotless. The continental breakfast was delicious, you can have it in the lounge which I did, or in your room. I will certainly be returning and would have no hesitation in recommending this Guest House.

Have stayed at guest house quite a few times now and it’s always a pleasurable experience. The location is good with only a short walk to the beach and other amenities. Would definitely recommend

Lovely welcome when we arrived and lots of details given on where to go and great places to eat. Parking is excellent and especially with our room as we could see our car through the window.

The hosts were attentive before we even arrived. Checking in through messages on time of arrival etc. and making sure we had booked for dinner with recommendations and a lovely welcome when we arrived with a lovely port on offer. Exceptionally clean and lovely decor.

There was a strong smell of damp on the ground floor and the room I was staying in but can only assume there was a flood so not typical. Breakfast was delicious but would have liked an option for a cooked breakfast as we were on a walking weekend but that is just personal preference.

Wow, where to start - Richard & Mark are exceptional hosts - the house is immaculate. Breakfast was carefully prepared, fresh and tasty. The quality of all the furnishings, bed linens, towels and complimentary personal care products was outstanding - true feeling of luxury throughout.

The property was perfect for me throughout both of my stays.

The guest house is easy to find and has ample parking across the road. Access was easy with a bell to call down the host. Immaculately clean property, the room, hallway and lounge were so tidy. Richard is a lovely, warm and bubbly host, he made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped through the door. The rooms have been fitted well, lovely decor and funky furniture. The bathroom was small but very well thought out with space for cosmetics etc. Everything was exceptionally clean. Once your bedroom door is closed you cannot hear another peep from other guests. The bed was comfortable and I slept so well. The lounge area was spacious and cosy at the same time, breakfast was served promptly at an agreed time. The view even on a cloudy day is great.
